Raul deal is done apparently so I have been told. Hope it is true!!
1.) 04 Jun 2026 21:52:49
Buzzing if true. Imagine him winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup, then reporting in for Wolves in the Championship!!
2.) 04 Jun 2026 22:07:08
Well, if he does sign, let's hope he's wearing the correct kit when being unveiled and not the AI-generated one.
3.) 04 Jun 2026 23:13:30
It's not. He wants to wait until the summer before making any decisions, and MLS teams are talking to him too.
4.) 05 Jun 2026 04:57:29
You said Raul was going to be unveiled at the kit reveal.
I'm hoping a young striker comes in as an understudy to Raul (if he does come in).
3 strikers in the Championship (Armstrong, Raul, young striker).
5.) 05 Jun 2026 08:26:02
I loved Raul, the goal machine, but he's not played 90mins for nearly 3 seasons. To think he's going to be good in the tough Championship is a mistake, I think. I'm glad to get him back as a good person, an old wise head, and he has class, definitely.
I am concerned, tho, it's not the marquee forward we need, so hopefully Fosun pull something out of the bag.
6.) 05 Jun 2026 10:36:41
I love Raul too, the mean machine, at least until he suffered GBH at Arsenal. Honestly, if I were him, I would listen to MLS offers to see out my career and to be closer to my homeland of Mexico.
I'd be concerned about him physically in the Championship here. He deserves a serene and lucrative final chapter in his career. Forever welcome back at Molineux when he's in the country.
7.) 05 Jun 2026 10:40:45
Yes, alongside a promising youngster to help them develop the knowledge, particularly positional play, about how to play the role. I see Raul as a valuable asset.
8.) 05 Jun 2026 14:34:49
I am a fan of Raul, but I don't think it's a good idea to bring him back. He had great days at the Mol., but it's in the past. Probably time for a new start for us. No doubt, as usual, money will be right, so most quality strikers will be beyond our budget.
We need another Bully moment, but sadly, doubtful lightning will strike twice. At least we can dream!!
9.) 05 Jun 2026 16:52:31
Dom Ballard, as the youngster to play alongside Raul. 23 league goals in 40 games last season. Orient only scored 59 in total! Played u17 to u20 for England. He's only 21.
10.) 05 Jun 2026 17:27:58
Dom Ballard is a good shout. Of course, Wolves will bottle the asking price, and some other club, such as West Ham, will cough up the asking price, and he'll turn into a £35 million player.
Wolves have to grow a set of nuts and take a chance on players like Ballard. Many players can easily move up from League One to the PL.
11.) 05 Jun 2026 20:21:08
Raul would be a good signing with pace round him. Plus, he would link up well with Mane and Armstrong.
Young forwards we should look at.
Dom Ballard - Orient
Reyes Cleary - Barnsley
Ivanovic - Millwall
Watson - Brighton
CBs we should look at.
Arrey-Mbi - Braga
Phillips - Stoke
Bashir Humphries - Chelsea
Charlie Hughes - Wigan
Don't forget Okoduwa in the academy.
12.) 06 Jun 2026 08:47:26
Didn't know you are Mexican, Deep?
01 Jun 2026 19:41:12
Heard from a friend of mine that Raul is nearly done and is to be confirmed with the kit launch. Obviously don't know how true it is, but the same person was telling me line ups last season before they were announced and were spot on.
1.) 01 Jun 2026 20:52:35
That's good enough for me. All the Molineux faithful need to ready themselves for the loudest "Si Senor" in history. Loud enough to reduce the Hawthorns to rubble.
2.) 02 Jun 2026 06:41:50
Would be great, Willenhall, but I have a feeling that the new kit launch will coincide with Trippier announcement as captain.
3.) 02 Jun 2026 06:46:05
Aren't Mexico playing Serbia on Friday? Will he leave the World Cup camp to be unveiled at Molineux?
4.) 02 Jun 2026 09:27:23
Not sure at all, guys, I very rarely post on here unless it's info I have received from someone who has given me truths before. Not saying it is true, of course, it is correct that he will be with the World Cup squad, but could also have already been recorded, possibly? Like I say, I don't know for certain.
5.) 02 Jun 2026 18:57:07
Hope it's true, Willenhall.
6.) 02 Jun 2026 22:53:06
I can see three being announced: Trippier, Raul and Saiss.
Just as all three have been hinted at over the past month.
I think the next step may need some patience, with J Gomes, Tolu, Doc, Hwang, Jackson and Wolfe being sold.
This is where it would get tricky, though, as they still need a cb with pace, x2 cms, and 2 maybe 3 forwards that can stretch defences.
I’d keep Sa, but looks like he may be going. So maybe 1 or 2 keepers. Sure, Ruddy has left Newcastle... ?
Another experienced squad player, Dendoncker would be useful, as he can play in defence and in cdm.
A back 5 of Trippier, Donk, Bueno, Saiss, Bueno.
If we go to a back 4, you need pace, so Donk and Saiss drop off our scale a little bit.
CM Devine, Doyle and Kante with Andre would be Bostin.
This is no disrespect to Mane, Edozie and Abby. I think they will develop into great players. Do they stay and do a year and play cup games at Wolves? Must be strange, not knowing how to react after getting senior games in your teens.
But the squad last season was pathetically short. Are they up for the fight?
Forwards: Wilson (on a free), Solly March (free, good squad player), Tyrique George (I know, sounds bananas, but same age as Mane, may be able to form a good combination loan with obligation to buy).
I’d love some players with flair and excitement again to play with Raul. Give me Caveleiro, Costa, Jota, Neto, Cunha, Trincao, Podence, Traore, Sarabia. ? We had it too good.
7.) 03 Jun 2026 09:02:06
Pretty sure that any signings that are made have to be homegrown, as we have to sell an overseas player before signing another. So, unless an overseas player leaves before Friday, I doubt either Raul or Saiss will be unveiled. But if Joao and Sa do leave, then it may become a possibility.
8.) 03 Jun 2026 11:32:13
It's 7 homegrown players in an 18 man match day squad (as there's 7 subs).
First-team homegrown players: Trippier, Doc, Doyle, Mane, Armstrong, Hugo Bueno, Abby, Edozie, Johnstone and Bentley.
Also Chimone, Alfie Pond, Nathan Fraser and Okoduwa would be homegrown as well.
I think they will be announced, as we will sign Devine, Simms and Paterson, so that's another 3 homegrown players.
9.) 03 Jun 2026 12:21:36
It's 8 in the 25-man registered squad. But, you've included Doc, who is definitely leaving, as well as Johnstone and Bentley, who are more than likely leaving. You've also put Pond and Fraser, which implies that they will be named as part of the 25-man squad.
10.) 03 Jun 2026 12:44:37
They can sign any time, as there is no need for them to be registered yet.
11.) 03 Jun 2026 13:02:04
Wolf is staying, it's been confirmed, but I'll be intrigued to see if Raul & Saiss turn up in the new kit (Tripper is still on holiday).
12.) 03 Jun 2026 17:47:39
Yes, GWIL1.
Still there is more than enough players to fill 8 in the squad.
With the players you have mentioned leaving:
Trippier, Mane, Armstrong, Doyle, Okoduwa Edozie, Abby, Chimone, Fraser and Pond.
Possible signings: Devine, Sims and Paterson.
I'd buy a few more if I could; it helps the club over the next 5 years.
That's concerning, Wolves4u, if true. He didn't do enough last season; it seems like a gamble this season.
The defence and midfield are difficult. It would be good to see some pace brought in through the whole squad, especially defence and attack. Arrey-Mbi from Braga would be a shrewd signing, pace, classed as homegrown.
Players to look at up front: Josh Maja (yes, he played for Cyclones down the road). Pace, technical ability, plus being homegrown, is worth looking at.
Harry Wilson, I would pay extra to get him to the club. Just a game-changer; links up well with Raul already, and he can shoot, as we know. I think making cheeky loan offers for Harvey Elliott, McAtee (to play with Doyle again), and Tyrique George would all be exciting. Yes, the club would have to sell a project to them. Can Edwards do this? Also, all homegrown again. Fellows would be tasty, along with Tom Watson.
Devine, Andre, Doyle, and Kante would be good, as you can play 4 or 3 in midfield. Plus Mane and another attacking midfielder, and you have options all over the park.
The defence may still need work. I'd like Saiss and Donk back to shore up the back and offer experience. And Dunk would be worthwhile. If we go to a back 4, maybe Arrey-Mbi and Okoduwa are the way forward.
13.) 03 Jun 2026 20:23:42
Why on earth would you want Saiss and Donk back. ? Saiss is 36 and was very slow when he was at us years ago, as was Donk. We need young hungry players with pace.
As for the suggestions of Harry Wilson, McAtee, Elliott and George.
What planet are you on? Not one of them would come. They are all Premier League quality and will easily get a club in the prem. Would they be great signings? Yes, absolutely, but I fear you're in dreamland.
14.) 04 Jun 2026 07:17:39
Fraser? Couldn't get a game in the Belgian backwaters and was sent home early. If he gets anywhere near the squad, we're really in trouble.

Joe Gomez available from Liverpool….
1.) 18 Aug 2024 13:13:48
Decent player tbf loan with option.
2.) 18 Aug 2024 13:38:14
We won't have enough letters in the shop for another gomes/z shirt!. Can't see it coming off myself.
Phil bud hope your OK, and you'll be posting again soon.
3.) 18 Aug 2024 14:43:02
Agree abbey, looks like sarabia off to besiktas,
Yes I'm looking forward to reading posts from the the legend, Phil.
Take care everyone
14 Aug 2024 17:02:34
Hi all, would anyone take Regullion (spelling) on loan for the season as cover for RAN? He’s available from spurs
1.) 14 Aug 2024 18:38:37
On a free and subject to wages yes.
He is v good going forwards but has missed a lot of football over the past few years and hasn't managed to hold down a place anywhere for a few years now for some reason?
Is he v poor defensively or not a good human?
We need several experienced quality players in but have one assumes a modest budget - wages and fees - so this sort of option should be seriously looked at.
I and others have also mentioned Maguire of MU either on loan or a modest fee (£15m top) fee although wages may well be a problem
2.) 14 Aug 2024 19:02:49
If we can’t afford the wages, would there be an option for the selling club to pay a percentage? Personally I don’t think Maguire would move to Wolves anyway. I think he believes he is better than our level.
3.) 14 Aug 2024 21:33:23
Maybe Willenhall but it's also an opportunity to be a big fish in a smaller pond. I've got an open mind on him, I think the media like to have heroes and villains, maguire leans towards villain at times.
4.) 14 Aug 2024 22:34:34
We already had cover for ran and loaned him out so why bring in another nobody.and magiure.teally.he wouldn't go to whu so y would u think he'd ever cum2us when wev just sold kilman 2them?
We get to this position every ssn.the manager whom ever it may be sez the club are doing all it can to make things happen and nothing ever does.a few hopeful signings earlydoors then nothing until deadlineday when we sign a 3rd rate nobody from Lens youth team.and we start the new ssn with virtually the same side that we had last ssn.only weaker.if anybody is happy with the ins and outs upto now go and bury your body along with your head
5.) 15 Aug 2024 09:51:25
Not sure that I agree Buxwolf. We signed Lemina and initially no one was overwhelmed. We signed Gomes and initially no one was overwhelmed. We signed RAN and Dawson etc etc. New signings need some time to prove themselves so let's give them some support and judge them later.
6.) 15 Aug 2024 10:56:46
Also we need to understand that bueno needed playing time to improve, as Hobbs said he wouldn’t get enough if he was just back up to Ran so he went out on loan. Sounds like a good plan to me tbh.
7.) 15 Aug 2024 11:19:29
I totally agree Buxwolf. Wolves are now very much a selling club as GON admits after his recent Cunha comments. Sure Wolves will continue to find some quality but for resale, not taking the club forward. Think Fosun will try to keep Wolves in the Premier to protect their investment but beyond that I don’t believe the ambition is there any more.
8.) 15 Aug 2024 15:05:26
That's fair comment goatmark but if RAN gets injured for a month or so tomorrow what would Buenos loan do for us?
9.) 15 Aug 2024 16:30:31
If’s and but’s Abbeywolf, what if Ran doesn’t get injured and bueno sits on the bench all season. What would that do for us, his value, his confidence etc. I think the club can only do what feels right in the moment and that was what they deemed. Feels like they will get criticised whatever they choose to do, even if it all goes well. I’d be hopeful that they get in some experienced cover in defence but I guess doc qualifies as that in their eyes. Plus can’t Semedo cover on the left too? And what about lembiska (if he’s still with us of course) as some new blood coming through. Feels like he would happily be back up where as bueno is further along and needs to play regularly.
10.) 15 Aug 2024 17:42:02
Doherty and Toti can play LB
11.) 15 Aug 2024 18:51:39
Assume Doherty will be starting the first three games with Semedo suspended. Hoever appears to be on the way out of the club. Often wondered if it’s an attitude problem with him as he seems a talented player.
12.) 16 Aug 2024 07:27:19
Your correct of course wandering, but how old Doc now? and he might be occupied on the right as 47vin points out. Toti has filled at left before but he's more likely to be needed in a CB roll if others out. It's not an ideal situation and the words of good intent and working hard etc sound very familiar. There's still a week plus so we'll see bit it's not an ideal way to start a season in which we're simply going to do our best!.
