Rodrigo Pinheiro is very close to signing for Wolves allegedly.
1.) 13 Jun 2026 06:39:37
Who is he?
2.) 13 Jun 2026 08:09:28
Isn't he a right-back? The same as Trippier.
3.) 13 Jun 2026 14:46:43
Plays left back also.
11 Jun 2026 15:06:53
Rob Edwards was originally told that information about his future being in doubt on Wednesday was inaccurate.
Matt Jackson then informed Rob Edwards on Thursday morning that he was sacked.
It's said that Edwards' sudden departure has caused 'outrage' in the Wolves dressing room.
1.) 11 Jun 2026 16:27:46
Sky reporting that RE is away abroad on holiday ATM.
This makes the methodology of sacking him even more deplorable, even though he wasn't the man to take us forward.
2.) 11 Jun 2026 17:18:37
When Fosun first took over and Kenny Hackett was given the 'ok', then 4 days later Jeff Shi sacked him because "not the person to take the club forward." Difference being that Kenny had been quite successful and for us had a win ratio of 46%. They were after Lopetegui at the time, but he took the Spain job and we ended up with Zenga, then Paul Lambert, before Nuno came along and made us into a good side. This new manager had a decent season, so I guess the idea of a "winning" manager appealed to our club management more. If I see the byline 'Crook' on a story, I tend to ignore it, especially regarding him 'knowing' what players are thinking or saying.
Most players are on holiday or at the World Cup, so at this moment there is no "dressing room" to be "outraged", but cheap news outlets use cheap 'reporters'.
The timing seems bad, I agree, but it does give the new guy time to put his own plan into action. Does anyone know about Rui Pedro Silva's situation? I would think he would stay, but who knows.
If there is a major fault here then to my mind it is with Fabrizio Romano for announcing stuff before RE had been told. He is rarely wrong, but I think he is the main reason this has gone poorly. That's just my opinion.
3.) 11 Jun 2026 17:49:26
Kenny Jackett was certainly No 'Hackett'.
4.) 11 Jun 2026 17:57:25
Reports suggest that the new coach was approached a month ago. Sounds like before the home match against Fulham. Did Raul know and approve when spoken to by Nathan? Maybe that made the difference. It annoys me when people say that Rob was recruited for the Championship.
He was actually recruited to keep us in the Premier League. 2/3 results aside, he failed miserably in that brief. Harsh to sack him now, maybe he should have been warned that his job wasn't safe. That's football, and he will get a handsome payoff for failure, happens all the time!
5.) 11 Jun 2026 20:41:06
Someone with sense. Well said, Deep Throat.
6.) 11 Jun 2026 22:35:56
Been a while, but today's news dragged me
Back in, it's all seems out of the blue at the moment, but I'd say this has been in pipeline for a few a bit, it's a huge gamble if not. I liked Rob, but footballs a results game, and in the 7 months I didn't see any improvement apart from the odd game, we had a side that should have been competing with the bottom 6 or 7 sides on paper, but we failed badly, no shape or structure as with VP at the start, a good tradesmen cant keep blaming his tools for a bad job, you have to take ownership, and at times Rob blamed the tools towards the end too often.
I likeable lad, who possibly could have done a job in the championship, but Fosun seem to have other ideas on how they want to move forward from here, the proof will
Be in the pudding, it's a big gamble either way.
10 Jun 2026 21:25:38
There was a unanimous decision between Rob Edwards and WWFC's hierarchy to make a move for Raul Jimenez, but it was Nathan Shi that led the charge in making it happen.
Not only did Shi ensure he spoke to Jimenez after the club’s final home game against Fulham, but he also spoke to the player's family to pitch the idea of an unlikely reunion.
Shi was instrumental in getting the deal done and both Edwards and Jimenez have credited him in club interviews for his work in making it a reality.

09 Jun 2026 15:20:11
Deal now agreed for Wolves to sign Raul Jimenez on a free.
1.) 09 Jun 2026 15:45:33
Just need to sort out the defence and GK. Things are starting to take shape.
2.) 09 Jun 2026 16:38:33
That's two very shrewd signings. Looks like we might be copying the Brighton model regarding the mix of different ages and levels of experience. Mane will learn a lot from Raul. Interesting times.
3.) 09 Jun 2026 16:55:38
His medical is already complete, and Jimenez will sign a two-year deal with the option of a third.
4.) 09 Jun 2026 18:22:27
Welcome home, Raul! It will be great to see you back as part of the pack. Si Senor. ???
Note of caution, we need pace and technical ability, with two cbs, a cm maybe two. And, two fast forwards that are exciting to watch.
My picks would be.
Alleyne-RCB-Man City
Arrey-Mbi-LCB-Braga
Devine-CM-Spurs
Huerta-FW-Anderlecht
Cleary-FW-Barnsley
Ballard-FW-Orient
A few extras. ?
Kante-CM-Middlesborough
McAtee-CAM-Forest
Wilson-FW-Free Agent.
5.) 09 Jun 2026 20:27:21
I'd go for Lascelles as CB, Brazkho in central midfield and Manhoef as a wide player.
6.) 09 Jun 2026 21:19:08
Lascelles is an interesting shout. To be honest, I went for a young CB with good technical ability and pace, able to play in a back 4. I don’t think any of the remaining CBs at the club can play in a back 4, so we might need two more. Webster at Brighton would be ideal, solid at Championship level, but very settled being a squad player at Brighton. Dunk would be a good option. But I have a feeling we should go for young CBs. Maybe Stones as back up? ? Also, do we give Okaduwa a chance from the academy? So we’d sign 3 cbs but bring one through.
I went for British players with this homegrown rule in the Championship. Apart from Kante, who Edwards managed at Middlesbrough, and Huerta, who plays with Raul for Mexico.
Alvarado from Guadalajara could be an option from the other wing. They are both quick, but also track back and help defensively.
Brazkho and Manhoef are solid options, just think the club will be far more selective of overseas players they choose.
With Raul, Andre, S Bueno (I think he may leave), R Gomes, Lima, Wolfe (not convinced he will stay), Sa (think he may stay), so we may have 4 spots out of a match day 18, as 7 have to be homegrown players.
Practically leaves 2 forwards, a midfielder and a cb.
Also, that’s with the thinking J Gomes, Jackson, Krejci, Mosquera, Toti, Hwang, Bellagarde, Munetsi, Djiga and Tolu are sold.
I agree, can see the list including Raul all stay, so there may be wiggle room.
7.) 10 Jun 2026 14:52:58
Heard Raul had his medical after the last game of the season. Sell Toti, Wang, as Gomes, Sa and Wolfe will go. Get two goal scorers and two proper defenders.
8.) 10 Jun 2026 18:07:11
Yeah, Phil, but what would your team look like?
Bentley
Trippier - New CB - New CB - Bueno
Andre - Doyle - Mane
New FW - Raul - New FW.
I think the squad needs a massive overhaul to play a back 4. None of our CBs have pace. Andre isn't the quickest either. Then we have no quality to link up with Raul apart from Trippier and Bueno.
I'd go for this 4-3-3.
Sa
Trippier - Alleyne - Arrey-Mbi - Bueno
Andre
Devine McAtee
Alvarado - Raul - Huerta
Bench: Bentley, R Gomes, Kante, Webster, Mane, Ballard, Cleary.
Maybe not go for the two Mexican wingers and play British youngsters Ballard and Cleary.
The big issue is having a lcb that can stay fit and play every week. Plus, do you get two for the squad? I'm not 100% confident on my defence as 46 games is a lot of games. Do you keep Mosquera and Toti as a larger squad, as you only need to name 7 homegrown players in every match day squad? I say Mosquera and Toti as their wages will probably be cheaper than other players.
Also, the actual transfer fees on that team would be relatively low within £60m, which would set us up nicely for the Prem.

Kieran Trippier has completed his Wolves medical today ahead of being unveiled as a new signing.
1.) 08 Jun 2026 22:11:59
Deal has been confirmed and is on the Club website.

The only time Adama got me off my seat was when one of his misplaced crosses was heading my way in the South Bank. Got me out of my seat to dodge it.
1.) 15 Jun 2026 06:08:52
A good athlete, rated but not a good footballer.
2.) 15 Jun 2026 07:17:26
A poor footballer. We don't want him back, surely.
3.) 15 Jun 2026 08:11:59
19/20 season, he was excellent and linked up with Jimenez brilliantly. Is he a great player? No, but he certainly wasn't a poor player. All he needed was a manager who worked on his weaknesses and played to his strengths.
4.) 15 Jun 2026 11:05:15
Please, for the love of god, no Adama Traore. West Ham have just released him, Ffs. Why would Wolves want him? 50 crosses to get an assist & £50,000 per week. No thanks. Move on.
5.) 15 Jun 2026 12:09:55
Adama is all bubble and no fizz. Gets the ball, has expectation because he has pace and can dribble, then the move inevitably breaks down in disappointment. His stats at Middlesbrough weren't even that good when we signed him, and he never found that missing part to his game that could have made him a world beater.
Best spending the money on an attacking player with some end product.
6.) 15 Jun 2026 14:12:54
The truth is that Adama never developed as a player. He plateaued and drifted down. His speed and strength are still outstanding assets, but there's not much more to him now. No end product was the constant comment.
Nuno got the best out of him, and who can forget that brace to beat Citeh at the Etihad. If Nuno doesn't reckon him for the Championship, that says a lot.
7.) 15 Jun 2026 15:44:17
A real coach would have used his speed to draw two players to guard him.
The other team should have been playing like they had 10 men on the rest of the field.
8.) 15 Jun 2026 16:38:22
Adama has been coached by Luis Enrique, Xavi, Tim Sherwood, Roberto Di Matteo, Aitor Karanka, Tony Pulis, Nuno, Bruno Lage, Julen Lopetegui and Marco Silva, to name a few.
If none of those could get the best out of him, and no better coaches wanted him, it says a lot. There also doesn't appear to be a huge queue to sign him, a bit like when he left Wolves.
12 Jun 2026 11:33:23
Heartbreaking news today Kenny Jackett has passed away.
1.) 12 Jun 2026 12:16:30
Agreed Rated, mate, I still remember how he saved us from League One obscurity at an absolute canter. More than that, he was an entirely decent guy as well. Very sad news indeed. ?
2.) 12 Jun 2026 12:43:16
Really sad. A huge part in rebuilding after the drop to League One and unlucky to be fired when Fosun took over. A true gent and an important part of Wolves history.
11 Jun 2026 21:56:16
Kieran Trippier is reportedly considering cancelling his agreement with Wolves as he is angry at the sacking of Rob Edwards, feeling he has been misled by the club. His contract at the club is due to start 1st July.
1.) 11 Jun 2026 22:39:32
Tbh, I don't blame him.
If he was told certain things and Rob persuaded him to sign.
How can he trust the club?
2.) 12 Jun 2026 08:54:55
I don't blame Trippier. He has said repeatedly that Rob Edwards was the reason he joined Wolves rather than going to a possible Premiership club. The new management is not off to a good start. The underhand way they got rid of Rob Edwards is unacceptable.
The only way that this can get sorted, to satisfy both parties, is for the new manager to now convince Trippier that he will still have a significant role in the club.
3.) 12 Jun 2026 09:00:38
He also said repeatedly that the move was perfect for being close to his kids. Let's see what's more important to him, being close to his kids or having Rob in charge? If it's the latter, I'd have serious concerns about where his priorities in life take him.
11 Jun 2026 13:42:25
Hold on to your hats, folks, the storm has only just begun.
1.) 11 Jun 2026 15:00:17
Should have sacked Edwards after the Burnley game. No counter argument can be made. Guy has been treated appallingly. Fosun - and Mendes - are utter snakes.
11 Jun 2026 11:06:11
I don't agree with how the club went about sacking Edwards, not telling him until he contacted them about the rumours.
1.) 11 Jun 2026 13:45:51
It is poorly rated, if true, but the change was needed.
15 Jun 2026 16:17:28
The Trippier deal can't fall through; it is signed and done. The reason Trippier isn't saying anything is because he is on holiday, and probably can't be bothered with false rumours.
14 Jun 2026 14:43:53
No thanks, he couldn't wait to leave the club.
11 Jun 2026 00:28:46
Yes mate, this is from Fabrizio: "Wolves agree deal in principle to appoint Cesar Peixoto as new head coach.
Interest reported by O Jogo, now verbal agreement in place with Peixoto to take over".
10 Jun 2026 17:58:17
It has been reported in the press, mate.
But he is another VP and we don't want that again.
09 Jun 2026 16:55:38
His medical is already complete, and Jimenez will sign a two-year deal with the option of a third.
16 Jun 2026 16:29:59
He's past it. It's time our fans stopped pining for ex players to return (except Neves, of course) and move on.
14 Jun 2026 14:45:33
Still doesn't make it right how he was treated though.
How would you like it if you found out you'd been sacked via social media?
10 Jun 2026 17:59:37
No to both Boly and Adama, especially Adama. Nothing but a speed merchant, and he couldn't wait to leave.
08 Jun 2026 20:56:30
He was given more than a fair crack of the whip and couldn't wait to leave.
08 Jun 2026 03:11:25
But would Dortmund want to deal with us after the Silva fiasco?
