Brace yourselves, £50 m offer for larsen refused from Newcastle. Testing the water I reckon, expect an Upped offer after their Liverpool game tonight and see if Jeff is still of the same mind. Something tells me he will of got the message from VP this time tho.
1.) 25 Aug 2025 16:13:25
??? Bore off with the anti Jeff rhetoric.
If Newcastle paid £65m for Larsen we would be mad not to sell.
Any club below top 6 would be tempted to sell for PSR reasons and the fact you have tripled the value.
Not saying we shouldn't have two decent replacements lined up.
But it didn't end well keeping Raul, Traore, Hwang longer than necessary.
2.) 25 Aug 2025 16:14:43
In two minds about this one. On the one hand we’re down if we sell him because we will have no way of scoring goals. On the other hand, if we can get 80 million for a player we just spent 25 on a month ago, that’s great business and, with correct buying is 3 or 4 new quality players . Also, Newcastle will only want him this summer and we don’t have enough time to replace him, so I really don’t know. But I just think at the end of the day, if we want to have a chance of anything this season, we have to keep Jorgen, even if that means turning down 100 million.
3.) 25 Aug 2025 17:02:18
Wolves have told Newcastle that they want a Cunha type fee (68m) for Larsen.
Newcastle not about to pay anywhere near that fee!
4.) 25 Aug 2025 17:06:56
Likeywolves Wolves won't sell unless 80 to 90mill are Newcastle going to of6 that much don't think so.
5.) 25 Aug 2025 17:34:31
Uche deal being hijacked by milan . It would be madnrss to sell JSL now. He's being offered a new contract- will he sign? All depends on the release clauses he/his agent want inserting first
6.) 25 Aug 2025 17:49:55
If they let him go and make 40-50m how much will they lose if VP walks and we go down? No guarantees either way, so either Fosun would be gambling big time, or taking the money before they run. Yes they'd have to find a buyer etc etc. But larsen going now would be irreplaceable, unless we've got someone up the sleeve, doubtful given the transfer success we've had so far, and we'd be surrendering the prem without a shout.
7.) 25 Aug 2025 18:07:48
If he's sold then only if someone else has signed on the dotted line first.
8.) 25 Aug 2025 19:01:26
£60 million would be an unbelievable price for JSL. Should be able to attract proven strikers with the money we are about to receive for Silva and hopefully Hwang. Hope Sasa is given a run out tomorrow night to see what he has to offer.
9.) 25 Aug 2025 20:03:02
Personally, I'd keep JSL, let Uche, Lopez and Arias get him a shed load of assists and then sell him for £100m in January with a ready made replacement lined up.
28 Jul 2025 09:27:40
Reports were interested in coufal, ex West ham, can't verify this but if true may give us right dided options at the back. Apparently he's without a club at the mo, which to be honest I find hard to believe or wonder why.
1.) 28 Jul 2025 10:57:22
He turns 33 next month. However, I believe he could still do a job. The best thing about him is he's a nasty piece of work to play against; a real master of the dark arts of football.
2.) 28 Jul 2025 11:22:19
Cause he's absolutely bang average and Potter didn't want him, which is why they replaced him with Walker Peters. Also why the fans reacted badly to the idea when we were tied with him a month back on social media, would represent a massive downgrade from Semedo if true!
3.) 28 Jul 2025 11:57:25
Not starting 11 for me though.
4.) 28 Jul 2025 12:29:16
I wouldn't bother with him However, Lima and Doc can play RB.
We just need cover at cb centrally and lcb.
Would sign another lwb though but think Bueno can step up. Plus we have Lopes, Toti and r Gomes who can play there.
5.) 28 Jul 2025 14:01:25
Conor Coady as cover anyone?
6.) 29 Jul 2025 06:43:28
How can we go from signing an exciting young player like Pubil to signing 33 year old has been?
7.) 29 Jul 2025 08:40:15
Desperation
01 Feb 2025 21:14:23
To top it all cunha as signed util 2029 with a release clause.
1.) 01 Feb 2025 23:50:23
Great news, to be honest I have no problem with release clauses as long as they are future proof/sensible. I actually think it can help a clubs negotiating position, as in that's the price take it or leave it. It's how Villa robbed City of £100m for Grealish ?
31 Dec 2024 10:05:15
Only 2 game ban for cunha, £80000 fine, will give him chance to recover from his niggles hamstring. Now we just need to keep him at the club.
1.) 31 Dec 2024 13:30:08
Makes me think more that something was said by that Ipswich staff to Cunha, be interesting to see if so what punishment Ipswich will get.
As rumours are he made a racial comment to Cunha and Alt Nori.
2.) 31 Dec 2024 16:28:33
Rated, I suspect that and your comment is the first that I've read or seen suggesting something along those lines. These kind of incidents don't just blow up out of nothing unless there is history between both parties. I'm unaware of any history, so I'm left thinking a racist or very personal remark is the possible likely reason.
3.) 31 Dec 2024 19:19:13
Let's be honest it takes something to prompt that reaction of cunha, he can't be the only guilty party. If it was a racist remark ipswich should be made an example of.
4.) 01 Jan 2025 14:20:22
Just be patient for the full report to be released, folks.
5.) 03 Jan 2025 07:50:03
According to the reporter in the Sun today Cunha should have had a 6 game ban and he’s used the example of someone attacking an emergency services officer and getting away with it.
Firstly, reporters should highlight which team they support as there’s usually some reason for their bias opinions and secondly, it’s The Sun so….
I too think something was said by the security guard to get that sort of reaction from Cunha. Hope it all comes out in the wash and Ipswich make an apology!
17 Dec 2024 11:19:07
Deal agreed with Vitor according to Sky. welcome to the wolves Vitor.

B'hell, when bellegarde put them equal I thought we'd end losing but fair play we got back up there. Not the prettiest, not the most together but we can't criticise the effort and desire. Great feeling tonight.
Just got to do it all again Fri. now.
Does lightening strike twice?
COYW.
1.) 03 Mar 2026 23:49:26
Late home tonight from the match.
But isn't it great to see not the best of squads, but playing as a team, for 90 minutes, and working hard.
Fabulous atmosphere in the ground tonight.
I need a good rest now before a repeat, and hopefully of the result too, on Friday. :))
03 Mar 2026 17:09:03
Is it to be another memorable night?
Is it to be another shambles?
Who can tell these days?
I'm hoping for an end to end performance with a few surprises up our sleeves.
Let's hope it's a good game and enjoyable for all in the old gold.
2-1 COYW
1.) 03 Mar 2026 20:10:06
He's playing Doherty. Abbey doesn't fill me with confidence.
2.) 03 Mar 2026 21:08:29
Well it's 0-0 HT Les, not a lot going either way, admittedly, and we look a little more 'fragile', should I say. But Andre, Gomez and Angel are doing a relatively decent job.
If only they could release the ball forward quicker at times, we might be able to sneak in.
Tolu second half? Maybe, but I fear there's more chance of Hwang as RE is looking to go with speed.
3.) 03 Mar 2026 21:16:34
First time I've ever seen Hwang and speed mentioned in the same sentence, Abbey.
4.) 03 Mar 2026 21:47:00
Like it, Old Wulf. It's Rodrigo he's gone with, thankfully.
5.) 03 Mar 2026 22:14:51
Eh em! Les, never any doubt about it. Lol.
6.) 03 Mar 2026 22:31:36
I have to hold my hands up, Abbey, mate. Great results. Is The Great Escape on, lol.
22 Feb 2026 14:45:07
Why let Tulu take a pen? Knew he'd miss before he kicked it, but expected it high over or wide. What a wasted opportunity.
1.) 22 Feb 2026 15:11:27
Mane should have taken it.
16 Feb 2026 18:53:11
Sods bl**dy law Liverpool, but at least we're home.
1.) 16 Feb 2026 19:20:50
Good luck to luke matheson tonight
Hes on the bench for macclesfield
2.) 16 Feb 2026 19:39:42
My feelings too Abbey I was hoping for port vale or Bristol city at home hopefully the scousers will not go full strength
3.) 16 Feb 2026 20:31:20
Another “one for the future” we never saw
4.) 16 Feb 2026 21:43:42
Didn't want to win the cup anyway, we can concentrate on a top six finish now?. Notice Lucky Arsenal get their usual draw . Must be fixed like VAR!
5.) 17 Feb 2026 07:25:21
Call me bonkers, but think we could beat them at home
6.) 17 Feb 2026 09:56:06
The FA Cup draw looks suspect to me. The 4 biggest clubs have been kept apart, Arsenal, Citeh. Pool and Chelsea. Funny that.
7.) 17 Feb 2026 16:56:07
If you think those two that were pulling the balls out have sufficient intellect and guile to be able to do that can I please have some of what you're on, Deep.
8.) 17 Feb 2026 19:28:48
They can tell a weighted or cold ball from the others without intellect old wulf, I noted the same Deep Throat, dunno the odds on it happening randomly, but there you go, who knows?
9.) 17 Feb 2026 20:37:50
Bit of grey matter required to tell warmer or heavier Abbey so I'm not having this particular conspiracy theory.
10.) 18 Feb 2026 13:34:50
Fair point old wulf, a rougher coated surface?
15 Feb 2026 14:32:34
Well we got through the quagmire against the wind but we're trying to be clever at times and it won't work on that pitch, lucky not to have been seriously caught out.
How the ref can book mosquiro when the guy had slipped I dunno, but that runs the risk now of a sending off, yet he didn't book the guy who took out Wolfe.
Tolu looks like he could get the bounce, particularly with the wind from behind this half coming.
So close from gomez. Would like a little bit more in running and not anticipating. could go anyway. COYW
1.) 15 Feb 2026 15:40:12
That was an excellent performance by Wolves, under diabolical conditions. I kept looking for a part of the pitch where the Grimsby owner grows his spring onions and spuds.
Santiago Bueno was excellent. It was obvious a long time ago that he was perfectly suited for a sweeper role. Credit to Edwards for immediately switching him to that position.
2.) 15 Feb 2026 15:47:42
Done it, just. What a horrible pitch to see that out on. We showed some good spirit and determination.
If we could hit the target we may have had 3-4, can't really complain about anyone in those conditions, I'd praise mosquiro and bueno but thought Andre led us well too.
Armstrong still dosnt seem on the same wavelength at time and really should have given us the lead earlier.
Santi deserved his m.o.m for being there to knee home and for his blocks and the final tackle.
Onward we go into the draw let's hope we get a favourable one at home to give us all something to cheer.
Remember Wigan winning FA over man city when they went down.
3.) 15 Feb 2026 18:12:40
I offer some credit to the team today. The environment and the climate were a throwback to the 'classic' eras, and Wolves actually mixed in and were up for the 'filthy' fight, so well done for that.
02 Dec 2025 08:26:36
Very good all, brightens up the day for me, I've a feeling that we've had a few of their relatives playing for us before!
26 Nov 2025 19:51:49
Oh lor, hwang and XU selling shirts, I hope he proves the biz eventually but can't see him making the step up, not even in the championship. He's not related to Jeff in any way is he?.
20 Sep 2025 20:38:16
VP did not impress or inspire me one bit wandering, and his half time pantomime didn't seem to do a lot for the players. No leader, no common cause. We're going down.
01 Sep 2025 19:03:35
Its the desperation Tfig, after all this time we can't identify and pay for a scouted player. Hackney was inflated, but by not investing it may (will) cost us a lot more.
We're crumbling so fast now in so many ways, if VP can steady us now and get us on route he'll prove to be a miracle worker.
27 Aug 2025 16:54:40
See above rated, we're hoping to get Yolu from gent, big muscular top scorer in Belgium league last year. I think 60m+ will do it for larsen.
17 Mar 2026 06:52:07
Didn't notice at the time positively negative, but then I was celebrating myself. Looking at the stills this morning, it does seem as if Armstrong himself was subdued in his goal and Mane and Kreiji were the only ones offering a hand of congratulations. I'm sure there was more than that, but maybe lost by TV viewers due to our own excitement and the TV replays etc.
What a game of halves tho? First, we seemed lethargic and careless again, showing why we're bottom of the table. Armstrong tho was having possibly his best game so far and his cracker lifted the spirit just before HT.
In the second, with Mane's removal, who, to be honest, had been very poor, and Angel bolstering MF, we came out fighting. Jackson started putting a shift in, and Hugo had woken up on the left.
So unlucky not to have nicked it. Equally, we were lucky when the Brentford lad shouldered it instead of getting his head to it.
It's all abit too late now, but at least we are still capable of giving it abit of effort for these final games.
16 Mar 2026 19:55:49
That's a fair point, Bullys. It's just the imbalance of punishment, or the impression of, that grinds.
16 Mar 2026 17:31:36
Even the transfer ban is suspended for 2 years, I think, VB. Meanwhile, Leicester are facing League One next year because of points deduction, and still we await the City saga to come to an end. What will happen there? Do a hundred lines and pay the equivalent of one Haaland toe?
16 Mar 2026 07:30:30
That'll depend on how we play, and the result tonight, I guess, Ilkley!?
12 Mar 2026 09:12:16
Reminded me, for what it's worth, of an experience I had many, many years ago in my childhood. I was put in goal by my rugby playing sportsmaster, and promptly let in 2. One he blamed me for, for not catching a corner when I'd punched it out; the other, for not diving at the feet of the oncoming striker.
He took me off at half time with much belittling. My replacement then let in 5 more after the break.
I never tried the position again. I despised the teacher, and the memory still gets at me.
The poor guy for Spurs must have had his confidence shattered the other night, and Tudor's attitude will never be forgotten.
