So the bbc are saying we have signed guedes, but nothing on the wolves page. Guess they give everyone Sunday off. I’m please we have signed someone else at least, guess that can put a few worries to bed.
1.) 07 Aug 2022 23:46:31
All agreed Goatmark, he's flying in tomorrow for medical and to sign. May be announced tomorrow as well.
2.) 08 Aug 2022 03:05:06
Guedes coming in, is a good signing but heard Neto to arsenal which is a bad move I think he's quality and needs to stay. any thoughts on wether that's true
3.) 08 Aug 2022 06:36:46
Doubt that will happen Christopher Lage wants more then one top player for each position. More likely MGW will go to fund Nunes.
4.) 08 Aug 2022 11:35:02
Will Bruno loose the dressing room letting Coady go, I think it’s a bad move. He’s more than a player he’s a leader.
5.) 08 Aug 2022 19:59:55
Last season and the season before was dire.
Lage will live by the sword or die by the sword
He’s trying to put his stamp on the team and god bless him for that.
If you thought we would survive with the same tactics as last season nooo way.
Guedes for Coady
Collins for Saiss
Nunes for MGW
You choose and debate
6.) 09 Aug 2022 01:46:01
We need a different identity, the football was stale towards the end of last season and it's good he's putting a stamp on things and he hasn't lost the dressing room you can see how the players played very well for most parts considering the lack of depth.
Lage needs time and I think he will get it, not easy clearing out the crap, bringing in new faces, whilst changing to a new formation and tactics. Have a little patience least we can all agree on thing we will finish above crappy man utd?

Good to see hwang scoring for his country. Also Mosquera scoring and being in the Columbia team that beat Argentina, unfortunately he may have an injury though. Hopefully it’s not too bad.
1.) 11 Sep 2024 15:30:19
The report suggests he's ok Goatmark, should mention Forbes scoring for portugul under 21 too. Let's hope they find the same form on Sunday.
2.) 11 Sep 2024 16:36:54
Don’t think Forbes will be in the team on Sunday Abbey.
Not ready for PL.
One for the future.
3.) 11 Sep 2024 16:57:38
Yes I saw Forbes replaced Fabio and then scored. Let’s hope he’s an improvement all round when he gets his chance in the team. Thanks for the injury info, I hadn’t seen that.

From doing a quick internet search it seems villa’s cheapest season ticket is more expensive than wolves cheapest and their most expensive is more expensive than wolves most expensive. Also matchday ticket prices range from £55-£92 at villa whilst wolves range from £37-£71.
As for players with premier league experience out of their last 6 signings 1 has prem experience so I’m not sure you can argue that. I’ll admit that we sign unknown/untested players but personally I prefer than model. They tend to be cheaper both in value and wages. How did coutinho or dendonker work out for villa?
I don’t really get your problem with the shirt maker, again I personally agree with the move from wolves, just because it isn’t a trendy name like adidas doesn’t make it a bad move. I’d prefer a club trying to be different from the rest just like our stance on var, not all clubs have got the balls to go against the norm.
Id be surprised if villa have said expect consistent European football and I’ll remind you their make £60 mil more than us every year so can spend more. Again refer to the psr rules. Also can any club outside the sky 6 claim to get consistent European football? Perhaps West Ham but even they don’t get it every year.
1.) 26 Jul 2024 17:03:27
How much is a ticket in Villa’s equivalent of the Graham Hughes uncovered stand Goatmark?
2.) 26 Jul 2024 18:37:00
Haha, that the best you’ve got? Obviously I know they don’t have the same issue regarding the temp stand but there is still a sizeable difference between the most expensive tickets and even if you didn’t include the temp stand I’m fairly sure our lowest would still be lower. My point is you complain about the prices but they are comparable to villa’s who you want us to be more like. Anyway surely a budget stand is a good thing.
3.) 26 Jul 2024 19:25:55
By being more like Villa, does that mean sell our ground and be £200m in debt?
4.) 27 Jul 2024 09:10:28
I’m sure all you fans would sell your ground if it meant you could play in the champions league. UTV
23 Jul 2024 11:56:13
Seeing as E in Bridgenorth won’t back up their statement or answer any questions about it can anyone else tell me who the serious clubs looking to spend 100 million are? Also how have they managed to spend this much. Is it from player sales? Or are they getting round ffp or whatever it’s called now?
Or is this yet another false statement from E? I can’t work out who EiB is referring to and would like to know what their structure is for running said club. As it would be a good model to follow.
1.) 23 Jul 2024 12:58:18
Aston Villa
Brighton
Chelsea
Ipswich
Man Utd
Forest
WHU
Whoever buys Pedro Neto out of Arsenal or Spurs for 60 million Goatmark.
2.) 23 Jul 2024 13:12:37
And how did they manage to spend so much? Most of those have sold their best players or youth players to make that money in the first place as far as I know. But you seem to have an issue when fosun do the same. And to get this straight you are comparing us to the likes of man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and spurs? West Ham maybe but do you remember someone called rice who they sold for 100mil, or villa who sold grelish and Luis for a lot of money or maybe forest who got docked points last season and are looking to sell before they buy. I’m not convinced by your view tbh. Just seems like complaining for the sake of it.
3.) 23 Jul 2024 13:14:14
As for the structure of how to run the club Goatmark we only have to look about 15 miles across the Midlands and ask how they have managed to achieve CL when a few years ago we were miles ahead.
4.) 23 Jul 2024 13:49:02
Oh you mean the club that brings in around £60mil more revenue than us so can spend more than us and as I pointed out have sold some of their best players for large sums. When was the last time we sold someone for £100mil? Some fans are complaining about selling kilman for £40mil, so you want us to be a selling club like villa? But I thought that was one of your issues with fosun, accusing them of selling off our best players and replacing them with unknown names on their new Sudu shirts.
5.) 23 Jul 2024 13:55:04
2 things that made a massive difference to Aston Villa were selling Grealish for £100m and also selling Villa Park to a subsidiary company.
6.) 23 Jul 2024 13:59:48
Are E in Bridgenorth and E in Wombourne the same person?
7.) 23 Jul 2024 14:29:32
Forest won't spend £100million they are under ffp restrictions still.
8.) 23 Jul 2024 15:27:51
Forest are doing undisclosed deals and will find a way Rated.
The punishment for overspending is only a few points as proved last season and better players equals more points so clubs may think it’s worth the risk.
Don’t think the big tv companies want clubs to stop spending do they?
9.) 23 Jul 2024 15:41:58
Villa was a couple of days away from going into administration. It's hardly a sound business model.

Just wanted to say my Dad passed away last Monday at only 72. He was wolves through and through so I was pleased to be able to tell him about the result against Chelsea before he died. He played a bit of football in his time and apparently had a mean left foot. I’d like to think you get to do the things you love when you died and could see him on the pitch on Saturday giving Costa that edge and helping the luck fall on our side. We shared a passion for the wolves and I’m going to miss the chats about the game. RIP Dad

I heard the other day that Max Kilman can’t be selected for the England squad because he played for the England fusball team. Anyone know if that’s true and if so what a joke!
1.) 21 Mar 2023 11:45:17
Peacock were talking about it during the match saying Ukraine wanted him to play for them but as he'd already played at national level for England via fusball he isn't allowed to play for another nation.
Anotherone of those brainiac FIFA rules.
However he can play for the England football team but you know what Southgate is like he'd rather pick players that aren't playing.
2.) 21 Mar 2023 12:05:08
I may be wrong but I believe what they were actually saying is that he can't be called up by Ukraine because he's already played for the English Fusbal team (thus selected a nationality). I believe both his parents are Ukrainian and they had looked into calling him up. I may be wrong but I believe the main thing keeping him out of the England squad (and Harry useless Maguire in it) is just good old fashioned top team bias! ?
3.) 22 Mar 2023 08:19:35
Eric Dier and Kalvin Phillips are in the squad. Say no more. This is the reason why Southgate needs to go.
4.) 22 Mar 2023 12:06:44
One of many many reasons Jas M.
27 Aug 2024 13:56:38
None of us really know what’s gone on behind the scenes. As I stated earlier there’s articles saying we have had a £20min bid rejected by Burnley. So all this speculation that Burnley have agreed lower fees then gone back on their word is purely that, speculation. And if recent reports are to be believed, then none of its true. Which means people are criticising the club and Burnley for no reason other than the fact we haven’t got anyone in yet. So who knows if we went in for O’Shea, or the other fella from Burnley. I suspect that after Wednesdays game we will know more as to if we have any interest in their players.
27 Aug 2024 11:03:38
Just read we had a £20 mil offer rejected last week. So all this we don’t want to offer the same as another team seems to be more made up stories.
26 Aug 2024 22:58:44
I would walk away from a chippy if the prices had gone up nearly 20% because someone else was happy to pay for expensive chips. I would go home and cook at home as it’s a lot cheaper but yeah maybe won’t taste as good. But it’s better for me in the long run, plus I might stumble on a really good recipe and be like who needs chips anyway!
24 Aug 2024 10:27:10
Thanks for the info Ed.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
22 Aug 2024 23:45:09
If Cunha ONLY came because of Lope why did I just read a quote on the wolves wedsite from him saying he took to the project and believes in it a lot?
Also does anyone (maybe an Ed) know what age you have to be and how long at the club to qualify as homegrown? Maybe why we sign so many young players.
{Ed001's Note - they have to be at the club for at least 3 years before the age of 21.}
12 Sep 2024 17:05:47
And where are those seats E? Right in the corner where the equivalent Graham hughes stand is. Which is why I compared the two. Obviously the Graham hughes doesn’t have a roof which is why it’s about £200 cheaper than in the equivalent seat at the kop. And no E a seat in the kop is not cheaper, if you want to go with a generalisation then surely you go with the 3 prices that are higher instead you went with the one that was slightly cheaper and in the corner. How about we take the average price of seat in the kop, guess what it’s more expensive than at wolves. So once again you are wrong. Don’t you see that what your doing is twisting the truth to fit what you want to say? Any politician would be proud of you E.
And if you want to know I’ve sat in both despite being over 100 miles away, in fact I’ve sat in every stand even though it cost me a lot more to travel than the price of a ticket. Some of us aren’t as lucky to live so close.
12 Sep 2024 14:24:25
Ok so I did look it up and of course it’s yet more manipulation and lies from you E, there are 4 different prices at the kop, 3 are more expensive and one is cheaper. I presume the worst seats are cheaper so the equivalent at wolves would be the seats in the Graham hughes stand which of course are cheaper. As I said you just manipulate the truth to fit your agenda. Maybe you aren’t aware your doing it but always looking for the negative in life can be quite detrimental to your mental state. I hope for your sake your aware.
12 Sep 2024 14:15:05
Funnily enough at this point I don’t believe anything you say E, I could waste more time looking it up but it’s a lot easier just assuming that pretty much anything that you say is complete tripe. Most of us now know you as a liar and someone who manipulates what people say to fit your agenda. So nice try.
11 Sep 2024 16:57:38
Yes I saw Forbes replaced Fabio and then scored. Let’s hope he’s an improvement all round when he gets his chance in the team. Thanks for the injury info, I hadn’t seen that.
11 Sep 2024 12:43:26
Oh dear, seems someone has been found out for their constant lies and twisting of the truth. Interesting to see that Newcastles plans have been slowed down due to ffp etc. it’s not as easy as just spending money it would seem. Also villa fans up in arms about ticket prices for their European games. No such problems when we achieved europe of course it wasn’t champions league but still.
