Moller Wolfe been in Germany a few days. Reports from Hamburg they're prioritising a deal for him. No club to club agreement as of yet.

Wolfoftheeast

1.) 31 Aug 2026 11:49:05
He was at Compton this morning. ?

2.) 31 Aug 2026 11:53:34
Not sure, Talking Wolves have updated their recent post about this and amended what they initially said. They've said there is interest, but Wolfe is not in Germany.

3.) 31 Aug 2026 12:00:42
So is he in Germany like i said or not Wolfoftheeast.

4.) 31 Aug 2026 14:45:11
Latest from Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph:
Wolves have knocked back a bid from Hamburg for left wing-back David Moller Wolfe.
It's understood the Bundesliga club made a permanent offer for the Norway international.
However, as things stand, Wolves are not keen to sell the 24-year-old.

Wolfe is currently in the squad for Wolves' trip to London to face West Ham tomorrow.
He joined the club last summer from AZ Alkmaar in a deal worth £12m and has four years left on his contract.

Ellis Simms on loan.

Looking like Armstrong will be predominantly played across the front 3 and is seen as being very versatile.

If the deal is agreed we could see our pursuit for a winger halted (or atleast slowed down).

Cesar still wants a winger but it’ll be moved down the priority list.

A centre back is also high on the list with the club approaching Tondela for Medina.

We are in the process of a few sales which will take precedence.

Wolf.

Wolfoftheeast

1.) 21 Aug 2026 11:01:17
I have heard that Medina has a release clause of EUR50 million.

I hope we do sign a good attacking winger with some pace, as I do not rate Armstrong.

2.) 21 Aug 2026 11:19:33
Simms on loan is class if it happens.

I like Armstrong, but he needs someone to play off. Don't fancy him as a winger or a loan striker. Best to come on when we need a goal to play up top with Raul imo.

Who are the sales?

3.) 21 Aug 2026 12:18:01
Alex - Brayan Medina has a value of a maximum of £2.5m in the last three months, now £1.9m on Fotmob. 24 years of age, 180cm tall, stats are similar to Mosquera and Toti, slightly worryingly with 25 appearances in 2025/26, 8 yellows and 2 reds.

Still reckon we should look at Adam Webster.

4.) 21 Aug 2026 12:49:44
Personally don't rate Simms, but he's probably not the worst back up option there is. That might also partly be because of his contribution in that FA Cup game.

5.) 21 Aug 2026 13:56:17
Has to be a back up for Raul because he can't play any other position.

6.) 21 Aug 2026 14:36:50
I wonder if Bentley was a sweetener to make the Enis loan happen?

7.) 21 Aug 2026 14:37:43
Ellis, not Enis, silly autocorrect lol.

8.) 21 Aug 2026 14:52:00
Is anybody talking.

9.) 21 Aug 2026 15:12:32
Put on before Portsmouth. Interested in Traore also, Racing Santandar. Wolves want to sell, not loan. Or a loan with obligation to buy for at least the money they paid for him, or slightly less.

10.) 21 Aug 2026 12:56:13
Wolfoftheeast do you know if talks have already started with Bentley going there. And surely Wolves have to sign a RW before window shuts.

11.) 21 Aug 2026 16:10:21
DMac, Bentley is on Sky Sports wearing the Coventry shirt.

Traore hasn't fitted in, and if we get reasonable money for him, good luck with your next move.

12.) 21 Aug 2026 14:42:38
Ed is there something wrong with my posts that's 2 now and not ones been posted just wondering why.

{Ed033's Note - I think your posts have been posted.

13.) 21 Aug 2026 16:24:48
Thank you, yes, they have.

14.) 21 Aug 2026 16:27:32
Penkowolf, I meant did they inquire about Simms when Bentley was let go for free.

15.) 21 Aug 2026 17:21:21
I know I mentioned Simms earlier in the week, and found out that he could be available, as he is now surplus to requirements since Coventry's £120m splurge of transfer activity. Rangers were believed to have been interested 48 hours ago, but talk has gone quiet since.

I know we're light in the forward line, but is Simms what we're looking for? It will be interesting to see how Fer Lopez, Jordan James, and Matheus Mane all fit into the side, plus Rodrigo Gomes. We also need to reduce numbers, with very few takers.

16.) 21 Aug 2026 18:57:20
Can't see Simms joining - he's starting tonight.

18 Aug 2026 13:41:55
Cozier-Duberry is of interest, Wolves have moved in front of Rangers.

Loan with an option to buy but will cost in the region of £10m (give or take).

Wolfoftheeast

1.) 18 Aug 2026 15:13:56
Wolfoftheast, everybody is of interest to Wolves. Problem is, they never sign them, still waiting on Jordan James. Wolves need a rw, a ch and a striker, plus anyone who leaves, and what's happened so far. Who have Wolves signed? A lw who's injured and out for 2 to 3 months, a striker and rb both 35.

Less than 2 weeks for the transfer window shuts and still nowt, it's bloody shameful what Fosun are doing to this famous club. Look at the money they have taken in: 80mill Jan window, 49 mill parachute payment, 38mill for Gomes, 20mill of MU for Cunha, yet net spend less than 10mill. Shocking.

2.) 18 Aug 2026 15:18:57
They'll get cozier, Duberry.
And also.
What did I say 10 days ago?

3.) 18 Aug 2026 16:46:05
If Liam Keen is reporting that Wolves are pushing for a deal, then it's a solid rumour and a signing that will probably happen. Come on, Wolves - let's get a new goalkeeper, right winger, and central midfielder. At the very least, do everything possible to keep Krejci at the club. It's not like Wolves are asking him to spend ten years playing in Russia's Amateur Football League.

If certain players stay, and players are brought in, then Wolves have a decent team. Would love Santi Bueno to stay.

Couldn't care less about Hoever, Hwang, B Traore, or Sasa. Would love Wolves to sell and replace Toti, but that's like saying I'd love to win £30 million on the lottery and marry Will's mum from The Inbetweeners.

4.) 18 Aug 2026 17:33:44
Such a shame that Said got the injury in pre-season, as he does look a prospect. Very direct and, for me, most importantly for a wide player, two-footed, which Cozier-Duberry isn't. If you watch their video highlights, which I know is not the complete picture, Cozier-Duberry more often than not turns back on himself and recycles the ball as opposed to attacking the open space in front of him. Said, despite his size, uses his upper body really well to hold off defenders, invariably bigger than him.
On the injury front, I am hoping for positive news for Mosquera, but fearing the worst.

The tackle itself was not the problem, but he then fell with his full body weight on Mosquera's extended leg. I remember the tackle by Roger's that resulted in his last ACL injury, and the situations were similar, with the impact on an extended leg. Not sure why the silence from the club on Mosquera's extended, unless they don't want us to be held to ransom re new recruit for an injured player.
Jordan James: I've used up all my words on this one over the past few weeks!

5.) 18 Aug 2026 18:18:29
I wouldn't mind if we gave Sasa another try!!

However, slow Traore, Hwang and Hoever need to be moved on.

6.) 18 Aug 2026 18:30:38
Wolfwhistle, I think he could be out for 5 to 6 months, nothing coming out of the club. Why should they want to spend money on another Ch when they have Nasser Djaigi as back up, sorry if spelling wrong.

Fuson are asset stripping Wolves, lost too much money but won't sell. How does that work out, the badge for E sports, that's why Jeff Shi was there.

7.) 18 Aug 2026 19:56:32
Opportunity to do some up to date scouting on goalkeeper of interest, allegedly! TNT showing Levski Sofia's Champions League play-off game against AEK Athens tonight. Their young goalkeeper Vutslov was scouted by us, plus others, in their last tie. Their journey through the qualifiers has featured a number of clean sheets.

The opposition in the last tie had a significant number of shots on target. The club is likely to want to keep him, but pretty sure he won't be on mega bucks in the Bulgarian League. As we all know: money talks.

8.) 18 Aug 2026 20:20:55
If Fosun's money talked it would say 'We don't spend any time in Wolverhampton'. ??

9.) 18 Aug 2026 21:53:46
The issue is, they are waiting for a perfect market, which would be players to move on and then for us to buy.

It was never going to be the case this preseason with the WC.

We needed to buy, and set the precedent for the players not wanted to bugger off.

We have made £150m in three transfer windows, with £200m of revenue last season from TV. The squad has taken a 50% pay cut on relegation.

We should be proactively belligerent!

10.) 18 Aug 2026 22:08:03
The trouble we have is trying to get players of the wage bill. With two weeks left of the window, the club is stuck between a rock and a hard place. No sign of players coming till these, so called, deadwood leave and come off the wage bill. Can't see the club investing here, it's looking obvious to see.

11.) 19 Aug 2026 02:27:58
Si Senor, we could get really technical about the wage bill, but we won’t.

It was £120m last season; with a 50% cut, it’s around £60m, I say around as J Gomes and Tolu have left.

Along with £150m on player sales.

And parachute money of £40m first year, £30m second year and £18m third year.

Wolves are around £220m in the money.

With around £30m spent on Raul, Trippier and Said, that’s signing fees and wages for the season.

If they had signed Vitek, Alleyne, Philips, Devine, Sa, Webster, Veltman, it would have cost less than £50m in loan fees and permanent transfers and annual wages.

I wouldn’t have signed them all, by the way.

It just shows there’s an ignorance or naivety at Wolves again.

And, yes, I agree, forwards would cost more. We haven’t even got close to signing a decent forward since Cunha was sold. Do they not realise to win games you have to score goals?

Carefully called Cunha a forward, not a striker, so as not to offend Raul fans.

{Ed001's Note - you do realise that even with the parachute money, your revenue will drop markedly, so you are not 220m in the money at all. That is nonsense.}

Jordan James offer accepted! Latest!

Wolves keen to get the deal done quickly but a few clubs are keen. As reported by Alan Nixon.

Boubacar Traore looks set for a loan move. Wolves holding out for an option to buy clause.

Wolves are no closer to a goalkeeper resolution. Johnstone could go to Everton (or elsewhere) for as low as £2.5m, with Bentley looking set to stay. Sa has had no more real interest (unfortunately although I feel would be a good goalkeeper for us in the championship).

Wolves are open to offers for a number of players in order to lower the wage bill with Hwang being the most noteable name (Santi was not mentioned ?)

Sociedad are yet to come in with an improved offer but Wolves are expecting a late move in the window. No centre back incomings unless 2 of the current centre backs move on.

Wolfoftheeast

1.) 09 Aug 2026 12:59:16
Who is saying offer accepted for James as everywhere i've looked saying no offer been made. Where do you get your information from because nothing on any site say offer accepted.

2.) 09 Aug 2026 14:15:40
Source: HP.

3.) 09 Aug 2026 14:41:39
Wolves are "desperate" for midfielder Jordan James, and are waiting on the Rennes player to make a decision on his new home.

4.) 10 Aug 2026 11:30:04
Seems a lot of clubs in for this James chap, as well as Wolves... and W Ham.
Of course, it depends on the player's choice and us finding the right money.
But if we are as keen as a lot imply, then it will be a decent test of Nathan, mgr, and the other director chap, and their persuasion and negotiating skills.

If it's who they want, what we need. And I see it's not massive money... then.

5.) 10 Aug 2026 20:31:41
Jordan James is off to Middlesbrough or West Ham. Alan Nixon doesn't even mention Wolves. Check it out on Google: Jordan James.

6.) 12 Aug 2026 11:57:54
TGwolves

That old HP source seems to be pretty reliable.

Some credible journalists now reporting.

Goalkeeper merry go round.

Okonkwo formally of Wrexham is closing in on a move to Derby.

Sa looks to be heading in the direction of Olympiacos but Braga could be looking to steal the deal.

Zettestrom to Wolves?

Wolfoftheeast

1.) 30 Jul 2026 19:44:07
Zetterstrom would be a superb signing. Here's hoping.

2.) 31 Jul 2026 08:05:40
Olympiacos have signed Stefan Ortega on a free. Can't see Sa going there.

3.) 31 Jul 2026 13:02:49
Sa left in limbo, nobody seems to want him, and he shot himself in the foot at Wolves.

4.) 31 Jul 2026 16:58:49
Up to Sa now to get his head down and crack on.

5.) 31 Jul 2026 17:34:12
Allegedly linked with Andrew, a young Brazilian goalie at Flamengo, who Cesar had on loan at Gil Vicente last year. Flamengo's stance is not for sale, but Wolves are likely to push further.

6.) 31 Jul 2026 18:56:06
Sa is the better of the three keepers, but he has no interest in or any loyalty towards Wolves. This has been the case for some time. Sam Johnstone was brought in because Sa was on the verge of leaving.

Bentley deserves to start the season for Wolves.

Hopefully, his teammates will protect him and he won't be put under too much pressure.

Long term, Wolves need to flog Sa and Johnstone, and Bentley needs to be back as the number two.

7.) 31 Jul 2026 21:49:03
I disagree Hifi and with most doubters of Sa.

Under Gon, Sa was to be sold so his wages and relative decent fee would have balanced the books at the time, as Gon wanted to sign a keeper who could pass. Johnstone is no upgrade on Sa in any respects in my opinion, but is homegrown.

Sa is by far the best keeper at Wolves. The defence, however shaky, looks more solid with him in goal and playing direct passes to two wide forwards like Neto and Cunha, rather than playing out from the back.

Also, don’t forget under Gon, the manager that wanted Sa out, Sa faced fans in the car park and spoke about the team’s frustrations.

Sa is a European football standard goalkeeper. He is a class shot stopper and uses his experience wisely in games. Also, look how last season turned out when we lost the experience of Semedo and Sarabia, two players that had a well of experience.

If Sa wants to stay, we should welcome that. He is an experienced keeper and one of the best in the Championship if he stays. This is a keeper that, before last season, was in the top 10 for clean sheets in the league every year he has been at Wolves.

We have bigger issues. Firstly, we need pace and technical ability upfront to support Raul. I would be after Andre Luis from Olympiacos, Patrao from Braga (very similar to Jota). With R Gomes, Said and Armstrong we have options upfront then, and we would have also increased the technical ability and pace of the forwards.

Then we need to sort defence. These defenders are not good enough to play a back 4. We have watched numerous incarnations of the back 4 since 2021. The CBs do not have the pace or technical ability to play as a back 2.
We should be selling Mosquera, Krejci, Toti and Santi Bueno.
We sign Alleyne on loan and Arrey-Mbi, whilst also signing an experienced CB like Veltmann (who can also play in midfield) and Webster.

And even bigger issues in midfield, as it’s not fluid enough with Doyle and Traore in there. I would keep Doyle as he is still young and homegrown. But Cesar's from Gil Vincente, as he knows Cesar's tactics and will add a physical side to our midfield. McAtee on loan would be a good option, both as a midfield 3 or wide forward, who has also played with Doyle before.

8.) 01 Aug 2026 09:18:03
Fully with you on Sa, FP2G. Persuade him to stay / keep him.
Concentrate on all the other pressing issue positions.

9.) 01 Aug 2026 09:58:20
I've never been a total fan of Sa, but I agree he's the best of a bad bunch.
He can't pass the ball, and he fannies about with it in defence when there's an attacker on him, but ultimately it's our defence who should be helping the goalkeepers.

We're only concentrating on goalies because our defence is poor. Sell Toti instead. We need strong defenders who don't panic or give the ball away.

10.) 01 Aug 2026 10:07:32
If Sa is committed and has his head in the right place, he will be more than good enough.
But that is a big if.
However, I also agree there are far more pressing problems, CM being the main one - who plays with Andre?
After that, depth and options in all areas, especially across the front line.

But, as stated before, this is unlikely to happen until the deadwood starts to be cleared, which is proving very difficult.

11.) 02 Aug 2026 10:26:37
It's interesting, TFIOG. I thought the team yesterday looked very weak as a team sheet.

But it is good that they have won, but I do question the pace and technical ability of the two cbs; we need two cm and two wide forwards.

Fair play to Cesar for the training and tactics. I just hope he doesn't think this is it. This is a championship-winning team.

I agree the deadwood needs to be moved on, not just because they are deadwood, but also for the squad morale and the wages we are spending on them.

From the money made on Larsen, Gomes, Arias and Agbadou.

We should be able to afford the players we need to support Cesar's project and plans.

The remaining deadwood may have to be sold at a loss, unfortunately.

Mad to think I'm also the person that broke Matheus Nunes, the Moutinho contract, and Jordan James way before the media.
