Does Nathan Shi even exist?
He is seriously conspicuous by his non communication (same old Fosun) Obviosly in hiding with Matt Hobbs.
Do we have a Board at all?
Absolutely shambolic situation, it’s a total betrayal of all loyal supporters.

Look closely Oxley and you'll see its Jeff masked up.
28 Jan 2026 12:06:15
make sure to keep your I in OXLEY.
28 Jan 2026 13:05:10
Isn't Matt Hobbs at Palace now?
28 Jan 2026 14:15:02
Yeah sorry, I meant Matt Jackson!
27 Jan 2026 20:57:55
We are rooted to the bottom of the table and we've let Munetsi, Hoever, Lopez leave and no sign of anyone coming in.

Plenty of time.
28 Jan 2026 09:31:15
They said that last window didn't they, remind me how that worked out?! Honestly gold fish learn quicker than Fosun! 🙄
27 Jan 2026 19:24:06
Didn't think I'd be saying this so soon but Nathan Shi is even worse than Jeff Shi.
Where is the ambition? Looks like Nathan is happy to tie Rob Edwards arms behind his back whilst he himself cla8ms that the club did everything to it could to bring in players.

27 Jan 2026 20:11:56
Where is your evidence?
27 Jan 2026 20:39:23
5 weeks since he took the poisoned chalice and he's being accused of being worse than the previous incumbent!
27 Jan 2026 21:32:17
When Jeff was selling the better players, he at least got replacements in. They may not have been any good but they came.
Nathan has allowed Hoever, Munetsi and Lopez to go and it looks like JSL and Sa will follow soon too and who has come in? No one. There is less than 1 weeks left to try and salvage something from this season.
Matt Jackson has been in place for a while and is in charge of recruitment so where are the incoming?
28 Jan 2026 09:20:07
Good, have you considered that his job role may include getting some bit part players off the wage list, Hoever, Munetsi, Lopez have played 1500mins combined this season and earn a combined £70k per week.
28 Jan 2026 11:28:38
Also I personally wouldn't have either Hoever or Munetsi anywhere near the first team so quite happy to see them depart.
Fer Lopes out on loan which may help him/us but is he really Premiership quality?
28 Jan 2026 11:47:47
Not sure where you've got those numbers from Mol as it looks like the number of mins is much closer to 1750, for clarification here that's the equivalent of 19 full matches! So that's the equivalent of one regular starter going, which doesn't sound that bad but we already have a small squad.
This is the point peeps seem to be missing, last match we had 4 defenders and a gk on the bench, so 5 players out of 9 were defensive and unlikely to impact the game going forwards.
So how exactly is RE supposed to change things from the bench if he had no attacking options?! Fer Lopez and Munetsi may not have been great but there were better than nothing. Let's see what the last few days bring but so far, true to form, all Fosun have done is make REs hand weaker!
28 Jan 2026 14:12:23
Wolves and transfer windows in the last 3 years is like watching groundhog day.
28 Jan 2026 14:28:09
Bully, that was Prem apps only @1532mins over 30 total apps, but if you include cup games it's 1849mins over 36 total apps.
Either way it equates to 3 players between them managing 51mins per match whilst taking £70k per month from the kitty and clogging up squad places.
Personally I feel moving them on is good business even if we only sign 1 player, actually even if we don't it allows a youth player through to gain experience
28 Jan 2026 15:59:36
Different sites say different wages. One says Munetsi was on £70k per week whereas another says £36k.
If between them they we're only earning £70k per month, then we should have kept them ready for next season.
28 Jan 2026 16:01:00
So hang on, Fer Lopez who had over 60 career apps along with u21 apps for the Spanish National team isn't good enough for a squad place in the Prem but one of our u21s that hasn't so much as had Champ experience is going to be a more suitable replacement, right?! Make it make sense as the kids say? 🤣
With this it's also worth noting that Munetsi and Lopez have gone to top European leagues where the club's in question are not languishing at the bottom of the table on a pathetic single digit point score! In fact Celta Vigo are 7th and potietially playing for European places! I bet they are laughing there back sides off at us sending their star pupil back at a likely significant financial loss!
So what your saying is that we are stronger now that we have less options, correct? The answer is clearly no so it's not so much about what we think it's more what RE does, let's wait and see what he's saying at the end of the window.
There is still time but the simple fact is we are currently weaker than we were at the start of the window or what quite frankly should be called 'a Fosun special'! 😭
28 Jan 2026 16:49:00
Bully, Fer Lopez has already been replaced by one of our U18s who had no experience in any league, that's how expendable he was. He actually had 17 Laliga apps and 2 Spain U21 apps to his name and it was reported at the time that he was a very reluctant to sign. A very Fabio-esque signing and a mistake by Fosun.
I think you're missing the point that we HAD to offload players for several reasons,
1. they don't want to be here,
2. we needed to generate transfer/wage budget,
3.there were NO spaces in the registered squad list
4. they simply weren't good enough
We are clearly not stronger with 3 less players but are we seeing the start of cutting our championship cloth accordingly
28 Jan 2026 16:55:46
Tbf Lopez wasn’t going to get the game time with us as it seems RE either doesn’t rate him or he doesn’t fit in the the team currently. Surely it’s better to send him on loan for the rest of the season so he gets game time as that’s what he needs. Let’s remember there isn’t an option to buy on him so in theory he will be back next season. Munetsi is a difficult one, you can’t fault his effort but as most on here have said before his quality is lacking.
It’s a shame to get rid of a solid player but would his value increase by the end of the season?
Also isn’t the aim to clear players out so we can actually sign some more non homegrown players, of course it remains to be seen if we do or not. As for Hoever as far as I’ve read I don’t think anyone rated him so not much of a loss.
28 Jan 2026 18:04:54
Firstly I didn't say LaLiga apps you did, I said career apps and on that front I am corecrt essentially, how ever you try and dress it, he's FAR more experienced than any of our current u21's. Secondly you seem a bit confused on what the word replacement means. Cause Mane was given his debut and was part of the squad last season under VP ya know before Lopez even arrived. So essentially you are telling me that Lopez replacement is someone that was part of the squad before him, right? Well by that reckoning we never need to replace a player again as we can just use the players already in the squad, right? OK then.
I also love the idea that season ticket holders have had to enjoy the complete shambles that has been the first half of the season, but don't worry cause Fosun are waving the white flag and writing off the second half of the season while they prep for the inevitable reality of the problem THEY created, delightful! Disgusting approach, good luck to them selling season tickets next year!
I agree on Munetsi Goat, I actually think he gets a rough time on here.
His finishing was poor but he kept running and made stuff happen this time last season.
Like I keep saying though let's see what the next few days brings but if we don't sign anyone I hope the Fosun out chants and banners are swiftly bought back out! 👍
28 Jan 2026 20:29:09
Firstly I specified LaLiga as all but 17 of his lifetime apps were at a league 2/u21 level, you stated that due to our in house youth options lacking 'Champ experience' they would not be a 'suitable replacement'
Whilst we're on that subject your use of the term 'suitable replacement' was the first and only use of the word replacement, I actually stated 'allows a youth player through to gain experience'!
As you've questioned my intelligence to understand the concept of the word that YOU selected the definition of the word is 'the action or process of replacing someone or something'. Example Mane has replaced Lopez in the starting line-up, although let's face it Lopez was never a nailed on starter,
Finally, due to the shear number of self opinionated, hypocritical, delusional posts on here I shall make this the last time that I post, reply or even read this site.
28 Jan 2026 21:19:26
Haha OK Mol, lordy lord you are delicate! Apologies if I offended you it wasn't my intention, I'm frustrated with the club not you. Just feels a bit like ground hog day as the club's sells off players, doesn't replace them then I have posters on here telling me that reducing our options/experience will somehow make us stronger is all.
Sorry you feel that way but equally if you this easily offended perhaps a forum with the title Banter simply isn't suited to you? 👍

I despair. It is bad enough trying to digest how our club has been ransacked and ruined by our useless ownership without having to read the garbage from Agbonlahor as to how everyone wants Vile to win the league.
Seriously? All this garbage about how they have had to stick to PSR-they haven't end of. They should have been sent down years ago if goal line technology played out properly
27 Jan 2026 19:39:09
The rumors mill is now going full on Springhill and Dmac, I'll wait until somethings confirmed to belive anything.
But I'm sure we'll see some movements and be able to gauge where Shi II is going to leave us, and wether Fosuns intent is to remain with us or cash in.
27 Jan 2026 11:28:58

Some talk of both Wolfe and Hugo going, personally I expected JSL to go this week, last minute obviously.

I know it probably wouldn’t have changed anything but anyone else think mane should have had a pen yesterday?
I thought we lined up wrong yesterday, but we were possibly the better team second half after RE realised the changes that needed to happen. However the game was over by then due to a poor first half selection/performance.

25 Jan 2026 13:24:15
I don't think is was a penalty and fair play to Mane for getting up so quickly.
What I did notice was how the commentary team didn't bat an eyelid when Rodri made a high challenge from behind on Andre but were adamant that Mosquera should have seen red for an a challenge on Doku.
25 Jan 2026 13:58:39
I felt we could have had one after Silva kept trying to rugby tackle JSL on corners.
25 Jan 2026 15:14:04
That challenge on Andre certainly got mentioned on Wolves radio commentary Goodwhile, abit of pro job by the sound of it and should of been punished, also the shoving of larsen into the net was noticed VB, obviously the ref and VAR had eyes elsewhere.
Still abit puzzled at REs line up, we've nothing to really lose now so go out to entertain and give us a goal or so to celebrate. Maybe away at City isn't the time to do it?.
It'll be a more 'telling' game v bournmouth next week, hopefully we'll give em a game.
25 Jan 2026 16:12:51
I’m still puzzled by the line up Abbey maybe Tolu is carrying an injury and that’s why he was brought on after Larsen. Tolu is the only player we have who can hold the ball up front and that gives us time to get out of defence I think he creates space for Mane to work in so should be starting if fit. Larsen doesn’t seem to be able to play as a target man but would play him instead of Chang to work off Tolu. I agree about Silva holding on the corners and I thought they supposed to be cracking down on that but again Larsen needs to be more physical he’s 6ft 4 and Silva is 5ft 8 so to be pushed around at corners is a bit poor maybe needs some coaching from Duncan Fergusson he would have bashed Silva.
Also be good to start Rodrigo as Jackson has had enough chances now and is not good enough. Let’s go for it against Bournemouth we got nothing to lose COYW
25 Jan 2026 17:08:22
Absolutely agree re Larsen major Frank, I noticed on m.o.day he was simply laughing as he got pushed about, I know that's abit of his character, but as you say he needs some hardening, (maybe not to fergusins level).
I think we've seen enough of hwang now, he's not worth 90 mins for the few decent things he'd give us.
I've mentioned it before but I really fancy Hugo infront of Wolfe on the left, I've seen him in the U21 and he can certainly fulfill a role going forward.
25 Jan 2026 17:58:05
Good shout Abbey on Hugo in front of Wolfe he’s not too scared to have a shot and that’s what we need 17 points behind Forest now so no point going for a draw anymore we need wins!
25 Jan 2026 19:10:45
I think the club should come clean on why Hwang has to play. Surely one of the mangers we've had here would have sorted it out. Surely RE can see he weakens the team. Anyone sitting on the bench would have been an upgrade.
We were playing city without a striker, even Mane should not be up front especially on his own, he looked quality when he moved back and Larsen came on.
26 Jan 2026 10:48:58
I was sitting next to a keen Arsenal fan at a charity lunch this past weekend. On the evidence of our performance away to Arsenal he couldn't understand our league position. He thought we were a good team. More evidence I suppose of Jeff's criminal incompetence in transfer dealings and giving VP an extended contract.
26 Jan 2026 12:28:34
Deep the side as currently configured
Sa, Jackson, Yerson, Emmanuel, Krejci, Bueno, Andre, Gomes, Mane, Bellegarde, Tolu is far far too good to be where the side is but as you say for reasons on Jeff knows the club decided to burn the first half of the season after a truly awful transfer window.
Sadly at least 5 of that side will go this summer probably more and what is left may not be good enough to survive in the Champ!
26 Jan 2026 13:49:29
TFIOG3, surely if Jackson, Krejci and Tolu are included in your list of too good to be where we are, this indicates that the transfer window wasn't a complete disaster and that the bigger issue was Vitor Pereira and the way he set up the team. Shi should have left in 2024 when he made the ridiculous comments about if you wanted to support a winning team, then Wolves wasn't for you.
The recruitment has been a shambles for a while and that is 100% due to Jeff and his incompetencies.
26 Jan 2026 16:02:30
A notable remark by RE not long ago was that there was 'alot of anger' around molineux when he arrived. Dunno if he meant Fans, players or background staff, well we the fans were angry and we didn't need telling that so who did he mean.?
Jeff conveniently moved over to quieten the unrest with us, and RE has improved the player passion.
Has Shi II got the message? Well there's a week to find out how many bids may be rejected or accepted, and what he'll be prepared to sanction in recruitment.
26 Jan 2026 17:27:25
Deep I hope you mentioned to your Arsenal fan friend that it was the violent assault by David Luiz on Raul that was a major contribution to our subsequent down turn
26 Jan 2026 17:50:58
Good - fair point!
Wolves transfer dealings have been truly awful for several years now! Given the turnover in staff over this period it is probably fair to say it, and indeed everything that has happened, is Jeff's fault!
Vitor was also, as you say, a total disaster and should have gone in the summer or, even if you couldn't see the writing on the wall, in the early weeks of the season - again Jeff's fault!
However re the side I select above Jackson is only in the side as there is simply no one else.
Krejci is perfectly ok in fact better than that and Tolu is adequate.
Tolu is nothing like as good as the JSL of last year but better than the traffic cone that he has become.
But Wolves lost Cunha, Semedo, RAN and Sarabia last summer so adding a good Krejci and an adequate Tolu still makes it a truly awful window.
Plus to be better than where the side currently sits is sadly is not difficult The side includes 2 top 6 players in Gomes and Andre and other top half talents like Emmanuel and yes Krejci, so it can still carry some very modest players like Jackson and Tolu and still be far far better than where it currently sits.
26 Jan 2026 19:45:38
We should be in a position where as a club, we are looking to sign the likes of Oscar Bobb and Acheampong rather than waiting until the end of the window and begging has been PL players to sign for us. No ambition.
28 Jan 2026 11:49:59
I was including Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandos in my starting lineup when we play our first game in the EFL - we have been chasing him for two years -he wants to play in Uk. I genuinely believed that this was a done deal once we dumped one of our goalkeepers -but no-. I see Bournemouth have picked him up for Only £1.3 million loan and an option to buy at£13 million. I was in direct sales home improvements for 45 years we had to close a dealto earn the money or starve.
It seems the the negotiating team we have do not have the ability to close doors never mind closing deals for players. Obviously, if there is no money to be spent on players then there is no need for any of these people to be travelling the world looking for talent on Wolves behalf - unless we are being used as an upfront option for certain football agency/ agencies
25 Jan 2026 09:34:03
I was at the Etihad and couldn't understand the logic of playing like we did in the first half why not play a4 2 3 1 formation and have a go it showed in the second half that it can work for me RE is to negative I'm not his biggest fan if anyone thinks he will get us straight back up look what happened to Luton when they went down under him suppose I'm going to be slammed for not backing him but my opinion is he's not good enough

Sad, VAR took so long to look at mosquiro arm, and then the ref to stick to his original decision that the added time cost us a goal anyway, but why no apparent lengthy look by VAR for a dangerous play in the scoring of the first goal? I think there was cause to slow it all down, replay it over, stop it, play it backwards pause, gesture to one another, then come to the obvious after minutes of delay to the game.
Seriously, VAR really isn't doing what it should be and can have indirect effect on the outcome of games.
I must give my sincere admiration to the ref for standing by his decision yesterday, abit more like that to undermind VAR on the right occasion would be welcome.
