We should of had af least 3 goals.
Last night bit unlucky.
Defence let us down again.
Going to be a bit of a struggle this season. Even worse if we get to many injuries.
Transfers not convinced by what's been done.
Seems we have once again been done over by Fosun.
Expect the same next season.

Didn’t manage to watch the game last night, did we play well and our defence let us down?
That seems to be the general opinions I have seen.
Did Hwang go? Both Krejci and Santi are staying for now, surely Toti has to be replaced from now on.
Big test for me now, transfer window over, our first defeat and hard games to come, we will see now I think if we are good enough. 🤞
02 Sep 2026 10:47:33
Is it all down to defence? First goal a good strike, should have been closed down by a midfielder? Second, a penalty Andre gave away. Third, he was closed down, an unlucky deflection. Fourth, a corner, whose fault was it? Sa?
02 Sep 2026 10:48:23
Both teams were poor, Banksy mate. The goals a worldie, yet again with us giving them space to get the shot away. Munetsi took his well, bypassing the keeper from distance. Andre gave the penalty away.
Then, second half, a shot caught (I think Munetsi) on the angle and looped up over Sa, who could maybe be accused of being too far off his line, but in fairness I think he was coming for the shot if it hadn't caught our lad.
To be honest, I can't recall their fourth.
We got ours after Tchoutchou played a lovely ball for James, but their player own-goaled it, sliding in.
We started well, looked as if we'd game-planned, and fluidly hit the bar twice.
Then we lost all pattern, didn't move it with the urgency we needed, and it wasn't pretty.
As for defence, I thought Hugo did well. Jackson did the run but didn't do the cross. Deija and Toti just don't really work; I think both are looking to the other to take charge. Toti is too slow at times, and his positioning could be questioned.
Krieji and Santi may help, but I have queries over their 100% dedication now.
Defeat had to come at some point, but last night I'd think CP will have learnt something about the EFL and what to expect.
As a footnote, I wasn't overly impressed with the ref. Not blaming anything on him, just thought he saw things a bit skewed.
02 Sep 2026 13:48:58
That's a fair summary, Abbey. We can't win them all. 1 of their goals was lucky, the other 3 - even though one was a well-hit shot, are all down to poor defending.
There's a lot of difficult games coming up, we'll win some and lose some. Probably the opposite ones to what's expected, as that's the Wolves way.
02 Sep 2026 08:03:35
Of course we could still loose key players. when do foreign windows close? Is it just Greece and Saudi still open? Until when?
02 Sep 2026 10:16:54
Scotland open till 5 today. Think some other European countries may also still be open for a few days.
02 Sep 2026 11:37:46
English clubs can sell to another league where the market is still open, but cannot buy players from those leagues.
02 Sep 2026 07:15:27
Not the transfer window we expected from what had been said by Shi etc., but we move on. Might have to dive in the market come January. This team should still be good enough to be promoted. Perhaps Fosun are thinking if they can spend little to get promoted that then gives them more money to spend in the summer for the Prem.
I do think we need to get Krejci or Bueno in that back line asap to tighten it up as we are too easy to score against. After Sa's performance last night I would probably give the new lad a run.
02 Sep 2026 10:13:08
'Perhaps Fosun are thinking if they can spend little to get promoted that then gives them more money to spend in the summer for the Prem.'
Yeah right. 🙄
I admire your optimism, Alex, and your positive (if deluded) take on Fosun's spending plans.
But I'd prepare to be disappointed if I were you. I'm not sure we will even get promoted, and even if we do, our owners won't change their approach to spending money.
02 Sep 2026 10:22:33
Couldn't agree more about Sa. When he's bad, he's astonishingly bad. Sa could and should have stopped two of those goals. He's often too manic and when he's in that phase his goalkeeping ability is non existent.
He's getting better at playing out from the back, but his kicking ability ranks amongst be the worst I've ever seen.
I have a feeling it won't be long before Joāo Virginia is between the sticks.
02 Sep 2026 13:11:49
Which goals should Sa have stopped?
02 Sep 2026 13:28:11
Well, the penalty for a start, eh Toaster? He dived completely the wrong way.
02 Sep 2026 06:54:37
Different Shi, same Fosun… Apologies for the repetition but did anyone really think they could be trusted to honour their promises?

Credit Adam Smith, Sky Sports
"Championship clubs also set a new summer spending record, with expenditure reaching £289.3m.
That comfortably eclipsed the previous high of £204.2m, set last summer.
However, clubs recouped £461.4m from player sales, meaning the division collectively registered a transfer profit of £172.1m.
Stoke, Wrexham and Norwich recorded the highest net spends in the division, while West Ham, Burnley and Southampton generated the biggest transfer profits.
The promoted and relegated clubs helped drive some of the largest numbers."
I'm sure Wolves were a transfer profit club this window. Maybe Fosun think they can be more profitable staying in the Championship and a reason for the lack of spend on new players.

Time for another fans forum. And answers to the blatant lies and deception. Another window passes by with very little to show for it. Fosun/Shi/Jackson are charlatans and out of their depth. Who told Jackson he was a director of football? He couldn’t direct traffic! Our club is a shambles. It’s chaotic on and off the pitch. Krejci and Santi need step up to plate now and stop us shipping goals for fun. They say they don’t want to play in the championship - then they should’ve been better in the Prem.
Toti is a calamity and the worst captain I can remember in my 51 years following our great club. Both teams tonight were dreadful, but this can be turned around with some discipline and the starting 11 tweaked. Trippier needs to be captain when he returns. With Trips, S Bueno, Krejci, H Bueno as a back four we might have a chance. Fer and JJ are class and need to start together. Come on me babbies!!
02 Sep 2026 09:39:00
Jackson must go. The only player we were linked with (Neane) was probably scouted by Trippier.
02 Sep 2026 01:11:17
So this window we spent 7 mil. Parachute payments and Gomes sale. Is there someone that will still back Fosun?
02 Sep 2026 06:26:22
No, we didn't. We spent 20 mill on Krejci, 7.7 mill on Said and 1.3 mill on Virginia, plus loan fees and signing on fees for others brought in.

Good morning to everyone on here. I haven't been on here for a long time due to health. I've been reading a lot on here, and there's a lot on here who are slating the players, etc., which I find mind-boggling. 4 games gone, and people are saying we're useless, etc. It takes a good 5 to 10 games to get back into it. Trouble is, someone puts a message on here and others trust it. I've supported Wolves for 60 years. I've seen good and bad, but I saw football games when it was proper football.
There was no VAR, players played for the badge, and players weren't sold for silly money. Now there's too many players in the Premier League who think they're big, but they're too big for their boots. It's better and more exciting in the Championship. Money is ruining the game. I am happy with the team, etc. Why pay mega, when let's give the younger players the chance to gel. Please stop having a go at the team, they need our support.
02 Sep 2026 08:14:48
Morning Wolfydav, not really arguing over what you've said apart from:
Our support. We all get behind the team, the support for Wolves has been fantastic; look at the souls who dragged themselves to all the away matches last season, knowing in their hearts we were doomed.
That doesn't mean we have to be 'happy' with the team, particularly when we know where we're weak and need strengthening, and we've had a promise from the owners and directors that the team was to be strengthened. End result, if anything, we're weakened.
Brings me to my 3rd point, playing for the badge/the shirt. It could be said that by keeping Kreiji and Santi we've succeeded in not needing further recruits, but both believe they're too good for the Championship, wanting to leave the club they signed contracts to.
Are they going to be playing for the club or their pockets? Coz if they didn't want to be here, what are they doing here?
I'm sure they'll give their best for us, and I'm glad we've kept them, but as you mention, money has ruined this once great game we enjoyed, and VAR, even though it's not in the Championship, has affected mindsets of players who've been accustomed to it.
Little of this reflects on last night's game. We had a rude awakening with some crazy goals, good, bad and unlucky. That's the Championship, and these 'Premier' level minded players have now got to deal with it.
But we'll always be behind the old gold shirt no matter what, it's only the blue lot next, let's hope it comes together against them.
02 Sep 2026 09:35:40
I don't think anyone is complaining about the players other than Toti, who the vast majority can see clearly isn't good enough.
The fans, me included, are quite rightly questioning Fosun and their constant lying to the fans. They have promised so much, including conceding that we would be relegated in November 2025 when we had 26 games and 78 points to play for.
We were told that big plans were in place, and that things would be put in place, but, come the end of the transfer window, nothing was done and the fans are still expected to pump money into the Fosun coffers and just accept the lies.
02 Sep 2026 10:06:12
Is there any evidence about Krejci and Santi or is it just hearsay? I saw someone claiming that Krejci was refusing to train when no-one was training because the squad was down south!
02 Sep 2026 10:51:36
Hearsay with Krejci, Old Wulf. Santi said he wanted better, but credit to him, he's turned up every game.

Brian Clough said "If you know anything about football," you can tell after 5 minutes if a player is any good or not. I don't think he'd need that long with some of ours. & cp thinking Armstrong can play on the wing absolutely baffles me. Raul needed to be a player that comes on fresh & not starting. He's already had a few good whacks, but we've got nobody else. All the good work we do scoring goals is wiped out by awful defending by players who'd struggle to get in the Lower Gornal side.
Us Wolves fans better get ready, cus on the spectacle last night both Blues and the Undateables will beat us & easily, imo. Both S Bueno and Krejci both wanted out, so are they gonna sweat blood for us or are they gonna try and stay injury free till January window? And, let's face it, cus Stoke should have gone 2 up & then it's a different game. We got very lucky against Blackburn & we beat a very, very poor Preston.
02 Sep 2026 11:16:07
Spot on, Lex. Everything you say. I knew we would not buy the players we needed. Same old b*****. Anyone defending Fosun needs head examined. 🤣🤣
