Very disappointed with the performance last night, hope Vitor was just checking out a few fringe players before the transfer window opens.
IMO Sarabia, Guedes and Hwang have to go.
We will need a good no 10 to replace Cunha and at least one class midfielder as Andre and Gomes can't play every game.
Need to look at the keeper situation as well is Sa staying or not.
Definitely need a replacement right wing back if Semedo goes and possibly the same on the left side.
One thing that was glaringly obvious last night was the lack of pace in the back three.

Agba is the quickest player in the squad so we have pace at the back.
21 May 2025 11:59:56
I think those players are just running the clock down Nando, let's hope they take Bentley with them. Pity I rate all three in a way but they just don't contribute consistently enough or just not at all.
21 May 2025 16:27:25
We need a PL quality back-up keeper. Bentley doesn't live up to his name, he's more like a Morris Minor.
21 May 2025 17:04:03
We have one, Bentley should be third choice. What's happened to Johnstone? I assume he's injured? Reading that he's off to Leeds which wouldn't surprised me, think he came for first team footy but is simply not as good as Sa 👍
21 May 2025 09:54:24
Saw on Facebook there was a removal company parked on Semedo's drive yesterday. let's hope it cause we've offered him such a good contract to stay he is upgrading, sadly I doubt it though

Um, I remember a few months back an article saying that Barcelona want him back and why wouldn't they?! They've made there £30m+ from the deal and would be getting a FAR better player than they sold us back but this time for free! It would be SUCH a shame because these last two seasons he's actually looked like the RB we thought we were signing! Wouldn't surprise me at all because quality free transfers is how Barcelona operate these days, if it is the case it will be yet ANOTHER poor reflection on the club's woeful approach to contract management! Losing yet another exspensive signing on a free transfer through poor contract management, let's hope it doesn't happen eh 👍
21 May 2025 12:40:21
Rumour is that he wants the move as one of his family is poorly so moving to Portugal or Spain will help him.
21 May 2025 14:57:40
Possibly true Wandering and if he really has been offered Barcelona who can blame him. I just don't think we just should be losing MORE quality players for absolutely nothing either way!👍

My question was how would wolves fare against teams higher in the league than the ones beaten during the six game winning streak. Those teams will finish below wolves. We have taken no points in the last three games. Definitely need rebuilding next season.

I really expected more last night.
Lindsey, agree, we need a very good summer, or on last night's performance, it will be another season like this one!
21 May 2025 07:11:42
In fairness it was city away, Brighton, who beat Liverpool the other night, and palace reserves (well almost- shame the reserve keeper didn't play), high on FA cup victory against our mixed bag in apparently roving positions, had guedes effort gone in we'd have a wonder goal to crow about and at least a point. We flattered them with the goals we gave away, but none the less next season will need some faces linhay.
21 May 2025 09:37:42
There will be no change next season and nothing will change until Shi and Fosun are gone

It's called being realistic Abbey-
21 May 2025 15:03:38
I'm just hoping that Fosun have come through their 3 year cost cutting/restructuring plan and a degree of sanity prevails. They'll never be big spenders but if they leave the money generated in the club that will be something I suppose.
I've got faith in the club but struggle with Fosun these days.
21 May 2025 20:45:55
Vitor is staying in a hotel and is going home to Portugal after the Brentford game.
21 May 2025 20:46:59
Thinking on, vitor has to know what he's dealing with, last night's team showed where we are and what we'll want. He now will know who can go and who's worth keeping, I'm sure there'll be some emotional Sundays game, and I'm expecting a strong turnout.
Back to VP knowing what's what, we'd hope he's got players in mind and money to spend, but in the reality nobody knows on here or another format. Fosun are their usual distance from us the fans, and I still fear they'll sell players and take what finances they can. That may leave little option for VP if he can't build a side to his liking.
Again Fosun owe it to all of us to be as open as they can in the intent for next season . How can they expect to sell season tickets and memberships if they don't?

I never want to see Bentley in a Wolves shirt again, 3 of those goals Sa saves.

21 May 2025 07:05:00
Seeing him named on the sheet was enough to deflate my hopes last night Rated, then he went on to show he's not a prem keeper.
21 May 2025 07:39:05
All those who seem to have a downer on Sa should take note, Bentley is not and never has been good enough. Let's hope VP can see it now.
21 May 2025 12:35:31
Bentley wouldn’t get in a Works Side absolutely awful. Having said that neither would Guedes, Sarabia and Hwang, shambolic last night as was the team selection.which was disrespectful to travelling supporters!

Although Bentley had let 4 in I think he had a good game. 2 deflected goal he could do nothing about, one cross across his goal, again nothing he can do about it. I'm happy for him

He was dreadful pal.he dived too late on 2 goals and his positioning is Sunday morning.Alan Boswell wouldn't have made those clangers.
21 May 2025 07:02:46
Did you, have you, seen palaces goals rince? because I'd think you'd change your mind about Bently, he was awful.
21 May 2025 13:20:25
I think you need Specsavers Rince wolves.Regardless of weather sa stays or not Johnstone and Bentley both have to go this summer
20 May 2025 21:37:55
I don't mind the team tonight, it has bloodied a few of the fringe players and we haven't seen a world of difference between a very good palace side and what is essentially it B team. Some for promise for the future

20 May 2025 22:08:05
It was pick and mix tonight rince.
20 May 2025 23:42:56
Are you sure?
We played the Palace, (a lower mid table team) reserves and got smacked?
The fringe players?
Rodrigo was poor defensively - is he really a FB?
Djiga was not as good as "poor" and had to be removed.
Sarabia and Guedes, (neither of whom are likely to be here next season), were their usual selves, ie hopelessly inadequate.
Bentley shouldn't be playing Premier League football.
Our first 11 next season (depending on in-comings and
out-goings) might be just about good enough to stay up:
Sa, Semedo, Yerson, Emmanuel, Toti, RAN, Gomes J, Andre, Bellegarde, JSL and Munetsi but there is very very little behind them.
Even this will require JSL to massively step up because I don't see a lot of goals from Munetsi or Bellegarde and outside of Gomes J and RAN, (who along with Semedo might well not be here), no one else is likely to get more than the odd goal or two.
It is yet another huge summer for us and has to be better than the last few!
We need at least
a) 1 new GK capable of playing in the Prem
b) If Semedo is allowed to leave, (insanity!), a new first choice RWB as Lima is seemingly behind Gomes, who, (although normally looking a good player especially going forwards) is clearly not yet ready to be a first choice RWB! { same comment on RAN although Bueno H might be adequate - no more though -albeit a major downgrade going forwards)
c) At least 2 new CBs. At the moment we only have 3 who should be playing Premier league football - 1 of whom is currently recovering from another long term injury plus 2 not good enough Djiga - although early days - and Bueno and one now too old and not a cb anyway in Doherty?
d) At least 1 new CM as Doyle not good enough and Traore v v limited as a back up
e) Plus 2 or more new forward players at least one of whom has to be top half of the Prem quality from day 1!
In reality that is probably only 2 (or more if Semedo and/or RAN leave) first 11 players and a number of back ups but those 2 have to be top top quality players.
Finding them will not be easy or cheap!
21 May 2025 07:58:44
Only able to see the first half, which was enough tbh. Gone backwards it seems, thought GON was manager again, nuff said. Hope the pattern of previous managers is not taking shape again, so much optimism, worrying performance, good to see VP annoyed with the performance utter 💩.
21 May 2025 09:11:55
Images are circulating of removal trucks at Semedo's house yesterday so if true, he is 100% off. Also there seems to be noise that Semedo wants to move back to Portugal to be closer to his family as one of his parents is ill. In that case, it's very difficult to blame the club.
I think over the summer we will lose: Sa, Johnstone, Semedo, Doyle, Forbs (end of loan), Hwang, Sarabia, Guedes, Silva and Cunha. No doubt the club have already made plans and in reality, only Sa, Semedo and Cunha are regular starters but all of those leaving need replacing. let's hope players have been identified, scouted and negotiations started.
21 May 2025 09:31:05
I did see those images Wandering, can’t really blame him given the circumstances. Thought that the performance was pretty awful last night, Doc looks a great player again. High turnover of players required in the summer, just hope history is not repeating itself otherwise we are in for another tough season. A result against Brentford on Sunday and good performance is now a must, need to raise spirits as we all low again now.
21 May 2025 17:10:29
Six wins on the bounce was excellent, but let us take into account who we played. As previous posts have pointed out we have been clueless against better opposition-12 occasions a substitute has scored against us-ridiculous. Not one penalty given in our favour-bad officiating or lack of penetration or pace in opposing boxes?
21 May 2025 17:12:27
Wonder when the premier league will take against the FFP cheating clubs? To my reckoning their are three in the Midlands, one in the North West and one in London. We shall see-hopefully
20 May 2025 09:35:12
I reckon we'll beat Palace 2-0 tonight and go on to finish in 13th position.

20 May 2025 11:30:14
I'll be happy with a point lostcity, palace will be on a high the place will be a rocking party and we'll be the plus ones.
I think we maybe the party poopers for a while but can't see palace giving up the celebrations unless they're knackered. 2-2 for me.
20 May 2025 11:49:11
Maybe Lost, let's hope they've still got hangovers. They are on a role at the moment unless The Cup win has put them on the beach.
20 May 2025 12:40:04
I'm in Tenerife and will watch at Gaffers bar in Las Americas.not hopeful though
20 May 2025 13:05:17
Hope you are correct Lostcity, really want us to finish season on a high. Not sure what to expect after the final, difficult to know how Palace will approach the game. Saying that I hope VP can motivate us after the last game, I think he will demand a good performance. For you, does he start Cunha?
20 May 2025 14:24:45
Make Cuhna travel and put him on the subs bench. Then snub him by putting on some youth players.
20 May 2025 14:42:11
I think so Banksy We're still paying his wages.
20 May 2025 15:43:26
If Cunha has got is head straight I would like him to play and play well. If he can’t be arsed, already left, worried about injury, then would keep him on bench.
Hard one to call, like you say we are still paying his wages, maybe Man U can start paying them now, seems he is their player already. Mad that he has all but gone but still our player.
20 May 2025 17:03:52
I'm all for playing our strongest team but I'd think carefully about playing Cunha in case of injury. He is likely to be targeted. What if he breaks a leg or something? The Man U transfer would be on hold and so would the £62mil transfer fee. He has nothing to prove, we won't get a penny more if he scores tonight. Give someone else a chance.
20 May 2025 18:01:51
Fair point Deep, but if he scores the winner tonight it would almost certainly earn us a few million extra in prize money.
20 May 2025 18:40:39
Think that sums up the problem Deep and Lost, he plays well as we all know he can, we win and may finish a few places higher, leading to more money to spend. Alternatively he walks about, not interested, maybe picks up an injury putting transfer in doubt. For me though, as mentioned earlier we pay his wages at the moment and he remains our player for a few days more anyway. Find out shortly what VP will do, just hope we play well and win, whoever plays. 🤞
20 May 2025 21:01:45
I don’t understand why some are so anti Cunha. Ok he’s got his faults (haven’t we all?)
The contract release trigger was too low but was that all down to him? More likely his agent and the club’s negotiating incompetence. Let’s not forget that back in January our Premier league status was very much in the balance. Easy to forget now 3 or 4 months later when we have stayed up easily. Back then I for one felt we had real hope when he ‘committed’ to stay till the end of the season. It gave me a real lift that Saturday night when he sighed the new contract. Ok so maybe it gave him a ‘guaranteed’ move to a big club. Was that him being cynical or his agent being clever or the club being desperate? Probably a combination of the later two in my opinion.
Give the bloke a break, thank him for the good times, recognise that he ‘ay’ a born and bred Wolves fan like the rest of us and wish him well. This is not a Nunes situation so let’s not slag him off as if it is.
