Sky Sports reporing talks progressing for Jordan James so might be true we might get him.

Where's the proof of this signing?
Nothing Official as far as I can see.

In Andre and Jordan James, Wolves now have the best midfield two outside of the Premier League.

What a signing! Well done Wolves.

Hopefully Krejci will stay. If he does, he'll be the best left-sided centre-back outside of the PL.

Fans moaning but Tchatchoua is perfect as back up to Trippier.

Keep going Wolves.

Hi B&T,
Great signing if true, but where is this confirmed?
I see posts saying we're making progress but nothing concrete as yet!

12 Aug 2026 15:02:22
It's not done yet, guys.

13 Aug 2026 12:30:42
It seems Jordan James is far from settled. West Ham appears to be his first choice, and Middlesbrough second. So, let's hope they can sell Wolves to him.

12 Aug 2026 11:21:45
Jordan James singing soon. ✍️ ✅

Fingers crossed.

12 Aug 2026 14:25:16
What's he singing? Let's hope it's Si Senor!! 🤣
(Sorry I couldn't resist:). 👍🐺

12 Aug 2026 11:10:03
Just to say how many of you moaners who have already kicked off before seasons started will be lining up next season for season tickets. I rest my case.

12 Aug 2026 13:10:43
Are you being serious? You're always moaning. Get a grip, man, for goodness sake.

12 Aug 2026 14:20:48
Dear Shorts & T Shirt,
I am terribly sorry I keep moaning. It's because I joined the Wolves Moaners Club site.
I thought that's what it's for.
But I will stop immediately.
I hope this will be satisfactory.
I can only apologise.

12 Aug 2026 10:29:03
Looking at goalkeepers I can only see us signing someone nobody wants.
The goalkeepers we have will have to do us another season.
Spend money elsewhere on a class player.

Get a good defence & midfield in front of goals & we should be okay.
Our attack force should do well in the Championship with line up we have.
Don't give up hope it's early days yet.

What happened to our ambition? The club as well as fans. Look at who we signed last time we went up? Wow, yet we all seem content on mediocre signings apart from Tripps and Jimenez. They have had long enough to sort this out and get rid of the dead wood.

The only signing apart from the 2 old boys is the chap, Said.
Unless he is far better than his career so far would indicate, he is an over priced, unnecessary punt to add depth at WF, at a time when there are at least 3 essential positions to fill in the first 11.
Also, whilst no one would deny the 2 old boys are currently top class - probably as good as it gets in the Champ - they are clearly 1, or at most 2, year options.
If Wolves don't go up this season - far from certain with a v v weak spine of Bennett, Toti and Munetsi - the team next year will be markedly weaker, as once again a window - this one - has been catastrophically badly managed.

Only the 12th of the last 13 - I exclude Lopetegui's one, which was excellent.
Yet, there are still posters claiming there are 2 months, 6 weeks, 1 month, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, etc etc to go, and Fosun will get it right, and fans who think otherwise are not loyal enough.
The definition of insanity, according to Einstein, is to do the same thing over and over again, but expect a different result to occur!
Posters claiming that everything will be alright should explain why it will, as the default position now surely has to be that it won't!
Maybe the sun will rise in the west on Friday!

I became a bit concerned when The Manager came out & stated 'Doyle was an important part of his plans'. imo, Doyle's average at best & couldn't hold his place in Brum.
Reading between the lines, & hopefully I'm proved wrong, but I think that statement regarding Doyle says 'we should manage our expectations' regarding new & quality signings.

Since the last promotion and now, the financial rules in the Championship have changed, and the club is carrying far more debt than it was then. The squad is in a mess, solely because there are players who need moving on, who either nobody wants, or whose wages no other club will pay, so the players won't leave.

Other clubs have caught up and overtaken as well.

The reset that's needed doesn't happen in 3 months; it may take 3 years. And, in that time, the gap to the top 10 of the Premier League, never mind with other clubs in the Championship, will grow. It can't be understated what an absolute disaster last season was, and the failure to invest in the infrastructure at the club, and poor recruitment, have made the problems far worse.

12 Aug 2026 08:25:11
Yet another manager sold down the river of false hope and promises. Really thought it would be different this time, shows what a mug I am. 68, never thought our club would hit the buffers like before, but think the club is a shambles, full of mediocrity and no desire to move forward. Top 10 maybe, but defo not nailed on promotion, sadly.

12 Aug 2026 10:18:17
Kenzie, the club has had no ambition for years, or rather the owners haven't. They seem content for the club to be a nice place to work, which fits nicely into their 'happiness' group.
Sure, they'll take success all day long, but they won't pay for it.

Unfortunately, too many fans don't, or don't want to get that, preferring to take a pop at those that do, thereby defending Fosun's approach. No idea why.

12 Aug 2026 10:22:20
Transfer window isn't over yet. There is so much negativity. The future reminds me of a 16th-century lay preacher, JP, in his pulpit, spitting hellfire and doom. I would not be surprised if he's been like this with all the previous owners. For God's sake, mate, give it a rest and let's see what the next couple of weeks bring.

12 Aug 2026 10:35:53
B hill wolf, true that the transfer window is still open, but didn't the club install Rob Edwards last November in preparation for a promotion charge this season? They would surely have known that there was a World Cup in June/July, so why is it that we've signed 2 players before the window opened and only 1 since? What was the preparation? Who are the players that the club identified, and why haven't they actually signed? Is 8 months not long enough? Surely they could have spoken to agents behind the scenes to sell the project, ready to pounce as soon as the window opened.

It's all pure bulls*** from the club, in an effort to get as much money from us gullible fans as possible.

I doubt we'll sign anyone else, and the club will find some excuse.

I've already committed to going to games this season, but I think it will be my last until the owners either prove that they intend to invest, or decide to sell up.

12 Aug 2026 11:23:20
Good while, he. It says it all about the ambition of the club when planning for the Championship last November, when Edwards was appointed. No ambition.

12 Aug 2026 11:30:16
The rules for ownership as i have read is that the acctuaj owner of the club can not use his.own money to buy players pehaps mr ed can enlighten us alittle more on this. S o if new owners came in they would have the same problem and we would be hearing the sae old song again about owners

{Ed001's Note - they can invest in infrastructure, but you are restricted on what you can spend on transfer fees, salaries and agent fees by the club's revenue.}

11 Aug 2026 19:11:15
Yes put the Pope in goal a few prayers may help us.
Can't see Fosun buying anymore players but hope I'm wrong.
Would love to see Jordan James.
But can't honestly see him coming to Wolves.

As things stand currently I think our front 4 of Lopez Mane Rodrigo Raul/Armstrong is the best front 4 in the division bar none. However, what happens when the injuries set in? There’s no depth at all. In an ideal world we would keep Krejci and maybe Sa, but sadly the ones we want to keep are the ones who are saleable.

Can’t see buyers for the rest of the dross we have, Hwang, Jackson et al. Bottom line we should have enough to make the play offs but not enough depth currently for automatic. Over to you s*** 2, or were your words just empty promises which we have had since Nuno left.

Agree8 Disagree0

11 Aug 2026 22:24:05
It's a good front four, Steve, but not sure it'll be the best. West Ham are in the process of signing Manor Solomon and Reiss Nielson, both of which should smash the Champ and are exactly the sort of players we should be in for! Then, of course, there's Jarrod Bowen, who, to be frank, will be right next to Jota as one of the best players to ever grace the Champ and will likely out score anyone else in our team! If we keep what we have, we should have a decent team, but for me (as things stand), with Nuno at the helm, everyone else in the Champ is playing for second place right now! Let's hope I'm wrong eh.

👍

11 Aug 2026 22:31:58
Hi Bullys, I did say, as things stand currently, I do think, like you, everyone's playing for second. Funny how we've had 8 months to prepare, and we all know we're going to be scratching around at the end of the window. lol

11 Aug 2026 17:51:00
Although the site has lots of different views on a range of subjects and certainly has a wider spectrum of views on Fosun than the Greens to Reform on politics, on the playing side the site is almost entirely in agreement.
I think pretty much everyone agrees that Trippier, Raul and Andre are among the very top players in the entire Championship.
They virtually all agree that, all or at least most of, Lopez, Bueno/Wolfe, Sa and Krejci - if they stay - Mane, Armstrong, Yerson and Gomes are all good if not better than good Championship players.
So it would seem pretty much impossible for this side not to dominate the league?
But, and it's a huge but, nearly everyone also agrees that Bentley, Toti and Munetsi, (who currently all look like they will be first choices at the start of the season), are lower end Championship or worse players. Thus Wolves may well waste a golden opportunity to gain promotion.
Note it is probably a one season only opportunity given the age and likely one season only offer from Andre of the top 3 players.

How can the club not see this?
Surely Sa and Krejci can be persuaded to give the club one more year?
Then merely buy a cheap experienced CB - Mings or Webster? - and if the finances allow this lad James for CM.
Note both would also be home grown.
If the finances are this tight the fee paid for Said - what a strange transfer - looks like, even before his injury, it was very very badly wasted. He plays in a position where the depth is shocking but it is not a position where an addition was imperative as GK, CB and CM are!
The failure to sell the deadwood including Santi who many on here rate (although I'm far from convinced) so that they can make a handful of cheap but essential signings is yet another very worrying failure by the club.
The lack of these signings may well bite especially if the club gets a couple of injuries to its handful of better players as the depth - i.e. the deadwood - is way off the pace. {of course that is why they are seemingly hard to shift on the wages Jeff stupidly put them on. }
Tks Jeff!

Santi looked okay last season, whereas most of our team looked terrible. But Agbadou looked amazing for a while, and quickly went off the ball playing the same position. I see definitely similar potential to happen with Santi, so I would definitely prefer him to be offloaded whilst he still has a market value.

11 Aug 2026 20:10:41
Indeed, GDawg 14, I completely agree, and I strongly suspect he wants out.
But he is still here. No fee has been received and no replacement (upgrade and homegrown!) has arrived.
I wonder why?
Ps, what on earth happened with Agbadou?

11 Aug 2026 22:42:58
As usual, Future buddy, I couldn't agree more, mate. I worry that, yet again, the club are woefully underestimating the quality of the league we are currently in. As we saw last week, we currently have a back line which a League Two club could regularly and easily pick holes in, and that should have rung some alarm bells! We defo need an experienced CB, but I just can't see it happening until we move some players on. I also agree on the signing of Said. I do hope I'm wrong, but it looks like a bizarre choice for me, to be honest.

We paid £7.7m for an entirely unproven player who couldn't make it through 30 mins without picking up a serious injury, whilst WHU signed Soloman for £5m, who is very accomplished in the Champ! I hope I'm wrong, but yet again it feels like we are pinching the pennies in all the wrong places. I think some are underestimating the general quality of the Champ, because, right now, our back line looks mid-table at absolute best. Let's hope we are both wrong, eh, cause, if not, as you say, we could get stuck in the Champ for a long time to come. 👍

12 Aug 2026 10:12:00
I just fear we don't have the whatever... passion, quality, experience the top management team to be totally focussed, determined and able to choose, decide and negotiate. Ins or outs.
I'm amazed, and v v pleased we got Raul and Tripper to come, and persuade Andre to stay.
Money a big consideration, of course, but come on, other clubs do better!
And, supposedly, we own / control 20% of Mendes.

Sure, he's as slippery as you know what, out for himself, and with too many irons in the fire, but can you see other clubs in that position not sitting on him like a ton of bricks and using him for all he could be worth!?
Not despairing, yet. Hoping and more hope.
