The new head coach couldn't point to Wolverhampton on a map, and so to expect him to have recruited a coaching team willing to work in the Championship may be expecting a bit much.
Media reports state that he will arrive sometime in July, which gives him a few weeks to acclimatise, recruit a coaching team, and build a Championship-ready first-team squad.
He'd better be good.

I would be surprised if Cesar Peixoto and his team would want to work with Conor Coady. They don't need him, and probably wouldn't be able to understand a word he was saying - he'd be like a spare ***** at a wedding.



However, I wouldn't be shocked to see Conor getting his coaching badges and eventually turning up at Wolves.

Everyone is aware of Fosun's track record - Peixoto will be very lucky to get three years at Wolves.

Three years at Wolves? That's long-term. Usual length of stay is shorter than a clapped out zephyr would last. My advice for Peixoto is to move to Wolverhampton area, (you'll find it on sat nav). Get some posh digs. We don't want Walter Zenga Mark II (man in a suitcase).

That nice reasonable calm chap at Woolwich has been in situ almost 7 years, but I believe Simon Weaver at Harrogate is the current longest running at 17 years! The answer is there, yes, but not down W1 way for a while.

I read that in summer 2024 Newcastle wanted Max Kilman and were offering Elliot Anderson, plus cash! (Jeff, did you swerve?) Ok, Anderson wasn't the £115mil player that he is today, but I wish we had gone for it.

Kilman isn't the £40mil player today that he was then, as West Ham can testify. Amazing how the paths of two players can diverge so much in two years.

So chuffed for Sasa. He's been through so much in his career. Three horrific ACL injuries and he keeps fighting. Doesn't give up. He's just rounded off a stunning season at Lask by putting Austria into the last 32 of the World Cup. Incredible guy.

Would love to see him back at Wolves. ❤️

Well there you go. A few on here are suggesting his managerial career might have taken a knock. Not seen the odds on Burnley getting promoted, but probably not that high. What a great job football management is. Spend the owner's money, and if/when it doesn't work out, get fired with a huge payoff. Walk into another role, and repeat.

Probably best that Rob Edwards is taking a break from management. Too many jobs, too soon. After the debacle of leaving Boro and moving to Wolves backfired, Rob needs mental clarity, and a break now will give him time to reflect at length. Stick rather than twist.

Wolves fans shouldn't worry so much. Looking at things with a clear mind, Fosun didn't sign Jimenez and Trippier, plus give Andre a new deal, to have a team of muppets stinking out the Championship. Rob Edwards being binned further shows Fosun aren't messing about. I don't even think Wolves will make a slow start.

Welcome aboard Gloswolf, the few games I've watched have all shown unknown (to me, anyway) players who look good. Thing is, would they perform to that ability week in, week out in the Championship?
I just hope we've got a grip on things, and new players are acquired to provide the effort and excitement to our 'new' pack.

Why do we always set our players at low transfer prices, H Bueno has a price set at £15 million. I would of expected at least £20 million, young and versatile.

Every other team selling players starts the price high, with scope to come down. Our lot haven't a clue. They start low and get knocked lower. J. Gomes should be set at 50 mill. And Bueno, 20 + mill.

Don't know if it matters too much, though. I have the same feeling about close-season signings that have happened too often. We sell cheap, and then make a couple of panic buys to warm the bench.

For the much-debated reasons on here, Wolves are priced to sell and sell quickly. At the end of each season, they need to balance the books due to the lost opportunities to develop the club and its infrastructure adequately in other ways.
