One thing I certainly won't miss next season is the biased commentary towards certain teams.

Just heard on the radio that Mathys Tel was 'excellent' yesterday. And that Anthony Taylor kept the flow of the game which suited Spurs.

No mention of the error he made just before half time when he allowed the Spurs player to remain on the pitch after receiving treatment or not showing at least a yellow card to the Spurs player when Armstrong was closing in on goal or refusing to restart the game for 4 minutes whilst Simons was injured and Spurs got their sub ready.

They did however mention that Andre should have been shown a straight red for his tackle that didn't make contact with the Spurs player as it showed 'intent'.

They will give Re until December. Why he is still in a job, I don’t know. Most boring football I’ve ever seen at Wolves. No identity, no passion, no grit or determination. As fans, it’s so demoralising. Armstrong? What a joke, is that where we are now. Fed up with Re saying we competed blah blah blah.

I tend to agree, Kenzie. In fairness, the squad probably is what it looks like, a collection of players of varying abilities and attitudes, thrown together with little thought about blending them together into a team. Rob has at least managed 15 points, as opposed to the 2 from the first half.

25 Apr 2026 17:35:44
We were terrible again today.

Joao Gomes is the only one showing any fight.

Mane is overrated.

Toti is a walking disaster.

But Anthony Taylor took the plaudits today. A horrific performance by him.

The sooner this season is over and the clear out begins, the better.

Thankfully only 2 more home games to witness the decline of our great club before the 'Big Reset'.

I wait with baited breath.

Crap today. Need new owners, new players, new manager.

25 Apr 2026 17:49:28
Sack Rob Edwards now.

25 Apr 2026 18:42:52
Just watching City v Soton.
Then an ex Wolves player popped up on the pitch side. Some on here will recall.
Jim Macalliog.
Wish we had players like him now.

25 Apr 2026 19:15:31
What a terrible performance again. If Rob Edwards has an ounce of decency, he will admit defeat and resign.

25 Apr 2026 20:28:52
Jim Macalliog, Greyleg, last time I saw him was running his B&B in Scotland on TV, Four in a Bed programme. But yes, compared to today's effort and desire it'd be no contest.

They played as if they were waiting for Spurs to score, and Spurs were so bad they couldn't until Toti missed a header and a stuck out leg diverted it in, looked offside to me as well.

Mane isn't the ready talent we thought he was, too lightweight and indecisive. Rodrigo wasn't given the chances to show his skill. Armstrong gave it his all but wasn't lucky enough.

Gomes was my m.o.m., and if only his free kick had gone in! Andre complimented him, but sadly can't find the killer pass.

Sa looked fine, and produced when he had to, if only his distribution was better.

Hugo put his all into it as usual whilst apparently carrying a knee problem.

Sante calmly doing what he does, and Doc lending experience and ushering Lima along.

Toti is a liability.

What Rob Edwards sent them out to do I don't know, but it wasn't to win a game. No pressure, nothing to lose, and obviously no idea towards an entertaining, flowing attacking football.

It's not worth the time watching or listening to anymore. Might as well check to see the result in the evening. Well, it's almost over for this season, please don't let Rob Edwards push this style of rubbish out next.

25 Apr 2026 21:31:02
Good system Rob Edwards has, no strikers!! Once they scored, it's game over. Anyone enlighten me as to what system we play? To me, it's just a shambles. Perhaps out Rob in charge of the under 21s or Academy, and then bring in someone with more idea.

Makes me smile when they say give the young players a chance. Who are they? We are now a laughing stock, thank you Fosun.

25 Apr 2026 22:04:26
We don't have a system. It's getting beyond pathetic now, just how clueless the top brass have become.

26 Apr 2026 06:46:18
Plenty of criticism of our coaching team. However, we have a squad not fit for purpose.
Watched a bit of Southampton yesterday, a much better collection of players.
To perform in the lower tier next season, a big change in playing personnel is needed.

26 Apr 2026 10:12:40
Rugeley, if the squad is that bad, I'm not saying it isn't, then why have they performed so well against Villa, Arsenal, Liverpool and Brentford, plus others most of the time? Surely it's got to be instructions from the management on how to play against teams. What other explanation is there.

26 Apr 2026 11:58:15
To be honest, I think the players upped their game against the big names, and maybe it was the opposite for players in the big teams, expecting an easy game. A bit of luck in the breaks. Defence kept numbers, granted.
REs teams never seem to have a thorough plan though.

26 Apr 2026 12:36:38
To be honest, Abbey, it shouldn't need to be a top team for them to perform; they should be able to play at that level every week. To me, that is down to poor performance by the management and his staff.

27 Apr 2026 06:54:12
Quite right, B Hill, there's no rhyme or reason. The club doesn't function at so many levels: nationalities, loyalties, languages, talents, lack of talents, tactics, man management, coaching, general inspiration and aspirations. Then we've got the accountants!!
A new brush through the entire club, maybe?

25 Apr 2026 14:17:39.
No Krejci in squad today, unless injured must be on his way. Back 3 of Doc, Santi and Toti doesn’t fill me with optimism. Mane and Rodrigo I am happy with. Unfortunately, our defence is unlikely to prevent them scoring.

Looks like Spurs or West Ham joining us after Forest result last night, not sure who I prefer. If West Ham get relegated and we have Nuno back please?

3 out and out attackers on, apparently, at 85mins for Wolves.

25 Apr 2026 16:57:03
For god's sake, get rid of Rob Edwards
He's a useless, clueless, brainless.

25 Apr 2026 17:07:58
Well, Tottenham were really crap bar the last 10 minutes. Rob Edwards has to go, no ifs no buts. He couldn't pick his nose, let alone a team of players. Is he the new Teflon Don? Cos, from where I am sitting, he is in the deep end and he cannot swim.

25 Apr 2026 17:08:46
Boring, terrible performance. Nothing to lose, why not play attacking football; may as well lose 5-4, at least give us some entertainment.
Are they really going to continue with Rob into next season based on performances like this?

25 Apr 2026 18:59:50
Yep. Saw the line up and thought we were going to have a go, then proceeded to play for a 0-0. Clueless tactics. R.E. is completely inept. Said I wasn't going to watch again this ssn, but really thought we had a chance today. Played like we didn't want to win the game, with nothing to lose. Is this the players not bothered, or R.E. instructions?

25 Apr 2026 19:45:08
If anyone gets a chance, please watch Rob Edwards' post game interview on BBC. I really do not know which game he was watching; he talks an absolute load of tripe. Deluded, clueless, yes man.

25 Apr 2026 22:16:31
If that is Rob Edwards honest opinion of today's game then he really does have sh*t in his eyes. If he can't see how bad we are, the we are well and truly f'd

Yeah, I agree, mate. He's looked brilliant everywhere he goes. I'd take him over any of our current centre backs.

25 Apr 2026 10:56:36
Don't want to see any players in the team today who don't want to be here next season. Rob needs to start shaping the squad now.

24 Apr 2026 21:40:16
So looking forward who are going to be the leaders in the team? Success for came when we had leaders. Coady, Boly, Neves et al. I just don’t see any leaders at the moment. With the expected exodus the situation is going to become even more obvious. So is it going to? Ideas on a post card please. I’d look at Kyle Walker or Ward Prowes.

24 Apr 2026 22:50:52
In the current squad, we have Krejci, but he will be off soon, so we'll have no one.

If we get Lascalles in, he'd be the skipper for me.

25 Apr 2026 19:03:58
Yep, let's buy a defender from a team who have been relegated from the league we're dropping into. That bodes well. 🫣

Andy Robertson

I've kept my thoughts all season saw last game of pre season celta a knew we were going to be relegated the club is a complete shambles been supporting for 68 years i am so embarrassed.what's going on even in the low points of 80s the players showed a bit of fight the club should hang there heads in shame god knows where we will end up next season but still rock up know doubt

24 Apr 2026 18:30:49
Hi all, new to the site but been reading for ages. I can't believe all the negativity, unfortunately we all support Wolves and apart from when I first started to be taken and the yrs under Nuno and the year we won the championship under Mick we've always been an average team. I'm one of five who will definitely be renewing. Wolves aye we.

I'm still on the waiting list.

All the noise coming out of Molineux at the moment seems to suggest that Rob Edwards is to promote the youngsters as well as utilise the free agents, free transfers and loans.

It doesn't really fill me with hope. But the market doesn't open until 1st July, so should the club make a few statement signings early doors, it will give us poor fans a sense of which way the club is heading.

24 Apr 2026 20:15:02
Fans have a right to be angry, as the writing has been on the wall for a few years now, and Fosun failed to act.
I'm not in the Edwards out camp yet, though he got Boro to second in the Championship on a limited budget, so has experience; he was dealt a pretty rubbish hand thanks to Jeff and VP.

24 Apr 2026 20:32:24
I'm not Fosun lover by any means, and I do agree that Molineux needs massive investment, but I couldn't see us getting more than 35k when at our best, so we'll never be able to compete with the so called big boys. Good honest working class folk.

25 Apr 2026 07:56:03
Actually, I was in the 53379 crowd in 1972 when Wolves beat Leeds to stop them winning the title. The biggest ever crowd was 61315 in 1939.
The point being that, as a one-club city, Wolverhampton is well capable of bettering a 35000 crowd for the right team at the right price, the latter being a significant issue, as the cost of going to a top-level football match these days is ludicrous.

I still believe that a bigger capacity would facilitate a bigger crowd if the club was successful. When Molineux was rebuilt by Sir Jack, many felt it to be very nice but too small.

25 Apr 2026 08:04:45
We, the fans, have every right to be angry.
At the end of the day, we pay towards the wages, etc. They owe us the right to go somewhere to please us, without taking us for granted, or taking the mickey.

What the answer is, and the way forward for success, I've no idea, as it stands.
Surely he will play all those who are going.
So they can put in a display to entice.
Suitors.
On a bad note, Angel Gomes might be fit.

25 Apr 2026 08:38:58
I've been there lots of times when the gate was over 50000. Of course, the North and South Banks and the Enclosure were standing only. I could never afford a seat in the stands.

25 Apr 2026 08:53:49
It's difficult to imagine much above a 35000 crowd now, price aside. In an ever burdening world, changes in KO times to suit TV, KO days to suit TV or Europe comp (not in Championship, granted), and so many other social distractions make it difficult to amass those numbers purely in Wolverhampton.

If the Championship continues with SKY, we'll be KOing at 12:30 quite often.
The Mol has always had a unique atmosphere, and I wouldn't want to lose it in a large half-empty stadium, although we might have to get used to it anyway!

25 Apr 2026 13:13:14
Yes, historically we've had some very big crowds, but how many of those were away supporters, and how much of the South Bank did they take over? Liverpool in '76 comes to mind, when we went 1-0 up, Steve Kindon, but lost 3-1. Liverpool won the title, we would have gone down anyway, but it was estimated over 10k Liverpool fans in the ground that evening.

I think 35k is a low estimate, but up to 45k is not unreasonable. 50k+ is optimistic; I don't think we averaged that many in the late 50s.

25 Apr 2026 17:10:13
I was in the South Bank that night, Arddunby. We arrived late, and the turnstiles weren't counting numbers in the stand, coz everyone was asked to climb over them. They still took the money, though, and no change was being given!
I spent half the time being spat at, cigarettes stubbed out on my back, and burning bread rolls thrown down on us by the lovely scouser who'd climbed the old floodlight pylons.

It was packed in there.

25 Apr 2026 18:14:22
A bit before my time, Abbey, but I've experienced the jammed turnstiles a couple of times in the late 80s.
