Talisca is coming from Fenerbahce.

He's been linked for about 5 years and 5 managers. Not saying ur wrong, but he's a constantly linked player for some reason.

Heard Frimpong is on his way to...

3.) 25 Aug 2026 16:06:17
Rated, where's Frimpong coming from and where does he play.

4.) 25 Aug 2026 16:58:48
The original Frimpong????. :)

5.) 25 Aug 2026 17:18:58
3ha ha ha ha ha llllllooooollllll Rated, that's awesome. Fringpong was always linked, but never arrived.

Emmanuel Frimpong. In his short Wolves career, he became a minor legend. An all-action midfielder who sadly suffered a long-term injury.

7.) 25 Aug 2026 21:27:19
Not sure he was a legend. More a what might have been. Just a few games and carried off into the sunset.

8.) 25 Aug 2026 22:42:47
Jorge Mendes working on deals for Dias, Inacio and Barcola. Shame it's on FIFA 2026 career mode.

Renato Sanchez to Wolves. :D

I used to like that one.

Again Che Adams linked with Wolves face competition from Venezia. Source Tutto Mercato

Think this is just agents playing games to be honest.

Can't see us signing a 29 year old that scores 1 in 4.

Strange how it keeps coming up though. The Wolves were interested in January 2026 under Edwards and they have been in the past as well.

Maybe contact was made as he is a homegrown player and they keep tabs on him for this reason. At his age as well maybe his fee is cheaper than other options as well to boost the homegrown rota.

I assume that signing Che Adams would be a means to a short-term end: getting promoted and boosting home-grown player numbers. That's all, no real future for him and us beyond that.

2.) 22 Jun 2026 18:21:03
Che Adams and Adama Traore - No Thank You.

3.) 22 Jun 2026 20:38:14
Traore - yes. Adams - no... no... no.

4.) 23 Jun 2026 03:13:40
Traore absolutely no.

5.) 24 Jun 2026 15:26:04
No to both. One can't cross, and the other doesn't score enough.

It's an interesting argument, I think a squad player for £15m is short change in the Prem.

He did also score a couple of goals, so over the years he probably was worth £15m.

I'm more miffed we missed out on the following players.

Vitinha £20m
Trincao £25m
Goncalves.

They are just players we had on our books.

I think if we had stuck with Nuno it would have turned out very different.

The bigger issue was changing manager every 18 months, rather than money spent.

No clear strategy or plan since Thelwell, Nuno and Mendes ran the show.

It is Penko, but it's pretty harsh to judge a player on 5 months in the prem. Most foreign players take time to get used to the pace in England. And, with everything that was going on at West Ham, I can let it go.

He was a key forward for Cesar at Gil Vincente. He likes pressing, and creates space for his teammates in our system. As part of the forwards, they commit men to the box and have 4 players waiting to score, similar to R Gomes against Stoke.

Also, at 22, he is pretty young and could develop further under Cesar at Wolves.

Krejci looked good last season, but I don't think he was anything amazing. He was just as culpable for the goals conceded as the rest of the cbs, for me.

Mane should stay and use this year as his proper breakthrough year.
He should be targeting 15 goals and 10 assists this season.
And Cesar should be challenging him to play on both wings, and changing with Lopez in some games.

I'd like to see him take players on more and more each week; defenders hate it.

How he cuts inside and flicks will help him as the season goes on. But Mane should focus on the basics at the moment, and set small targets like 5 take-ons with successful chances created, and 5 shots a game.

Interesting rumour: Krejci to West Ham, but it might be a deal with Pablo coming to Wolves?

Pablo didn't play for West Ham yesterday.

Fair points, TFIOG. I don't think changing manager every 18 months, and his injuries, have helped him. During the same period, we have had Fabio Silva, another player that was wasted in my opinion. He did okay aged 18 in his first season, but wasn't mentored or supported in the right way. Yes, we can say money would make him happy, but I do think there's more to how different players tick. Silva played against Villa in April 2023 and was amazing, and got MOTM. I think it was more that Podence played, and he played it to his feet, rather than the ball being played to him as a target man.

I think the academy is a concern, as that's how clubs our size keep making pure profit. Chelsea broke all the rules in 2004 and have never looked back since, bringing in £100m plus a season from academy sales.

Surely we should look for ideas out of the box and develop an environment where we scout locally in the Black Country, Staffordshire, Shropshire, and Herefordshire, and develop players here.

Also, I've heard from a scout that a lot of players are chosen purely on athletic ability, 6ft plus, fast, etc. This scout worked at Liverpool; it was believed that their coaches could develop their football skills. Remember, the pool the big clubs have, though, is probably twenty times the pool we have, I would imagine.

But I just don't think our programme is that exciting to possible recruits, so you end up with the leftovers.

Some players I feel that could have developed more at Wolves, though, Burr, Lembiska, Silva, Vinagre, Giles, and Doyle, to a certain extent.

The club didn't really have the path to develop these players.

Great to see Ryan get his MOTM against United last Saturday.
