Apparently Rui vitoria is now being considered for head coach. Won a couple of titles with Benfica a few years ago I think. Has a very similar feeling to the appointment of Vitor pereira in that he’s a little know coach and was also recently in Saudi so he’s been around a bit.
1.) 05 Nov 2025 21:00:08
Mendes client I think.
2.) 06 Nov 2025 10:27:08
Rui Vitoria is a client of Agency Idoloassis Futebol based in Lisbon and Oporto, Portugal.
No connection to Gestifute or Jorge Mendes.
3.) 06 Nov 2025 12:06:06
Thanks for clarification oap wulfrunian.
4.) 06 Nov 2025 12:58:36
Being touted as the ‘next Nuno’. Reminds me of the old car sales advert when the guy is shutting the car door and listening carefully before smiling at the potential buyers and saying “it sounds like a golf!” ?

Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira says striker Jorgen Strand Larsen "will stay with us" after sitting out the loss to Everton amid two rejected bids from Newcastle. BBC sport
1.) 31 Aug 2025 12:49:07
Still need a CB, x2 cms, x2 forwards.
Interesting the links with so many midfielders and forwards.
Still think we need pace in the forwards they didn't offer enough yesterday.
R Gomez was arguably the standout sub after Jackson couldn't get anything to stick 2nd half.
2.) 31 Aug 2025 13:19:00
Japhet Tanganga, no?
3.) 31 Aug 2025 14:07:08
We could buy Tanganga but he won't be able to play for us until next season so why bother.
Under specific FIFA regulations, a player can be registered with a maximum of three clubs in a single season but is only eligible to play in official matches for a maximum of two clubs.
4.) 31 Aug 2025 14:26:25
If Tanganga had been of interest we would have already signed him before Sheffield Utd. Personally I thought we should have got him particularly with the fee being an absolute bargain!
5.) 31 Aug 2025 14:51:13
Thought fer lopes was quality of the bench yesterday looking to link up the play and drive us forward
6.) 31 Aug 2025 15:07:21
Honestly I think just stay up with defence being Toti LCB Agbadou CB Krejci RCB
Then we can sign Japhet Tanganga in summer 2026. Probably around £10~£15 million. I think Sheffield United are going down, I watched Tanganga yesterday, best man on the pitch.
Japhet Tanganga to Wolverhampton Wanderers
£12 million
Sometime next summer
Sheffield Utd relegated
He wants to leave
Done deal!
7.) 31 Aug 2025 16:36:23
No way should Toti be near the starting 11.
8.) 31 Aug 2025 17:16:46
Why would you want a defender relegated to league 1?
Sounds daft to me.
9.) 31 Aug 2025 17:17:40
As Ken points out above Wolves clearly have no interest in Tanganga as he could have been purchased at any time over the summer for peanuts.
Whilst I accept that if he has a blindingly good season Wolves may change their minds but I would imagine that it is unlikely that they will purchase him any time soon for 10x the amount he could have been acquired for this summer.
10.) 31 Aug 2025 17:29:13
Madman I don't disagree.
The defence looks v concerning - what has happened to Emmanuel.
Andre and Gomes are struggling and surely need a back up/alternative.
But perhaps the greatest need is a goal scoring 9/10.
Maybe changing to a 3, 4, 1, 2 formation will help as Arias - who is supposed to be carrying the team in his role as Cunha's replacement - looks lost out wide but might be better behind 2 forwards?.
11.) 31 Aug 2025 18:13:23
So which centre back do we sign? Krejci~ not good enough
Nobody is good enough at this club
So yes, tell me who we should sign ahead of Japhet Tanganga.?
12.) 31 Aug 2025 18:41:07
I can only hope that you are very very wrong as Wolves are paying 20x the fee that would have obtained Tangnaga for Krejci.
If you have read the board over the summer you will see I have also been proposing Tanganga all summer. For the fee, and home grown, he was in my view a "no brainer" but the club clearly disagrees with us both.
Having made that call though it would be a massive embarrassment to then pay 10x+ the fee they could have for the player a few months later so sadly I just can't see it happening!
With respect to your q though finding a cb better than those the club currently has should not be difficult. The pool currently consists of S Bueno - no where near good enough, Doherty - beaten by father time, Yerson, permanently injured, Toti - v v modest and needs hand holding, Krejci yet to play a game in the Prem and Emanuel who has seemingly lost his way!
Far from a satisfactory position!
13.) 31 Aug 2025 19:06:53
Personally I would have signed Veiga for around £26m but he has gone to Spain. Yes for weeks he was quoted at £35m but ended up going to Almeria for £26m. However he has a really poor attitude to training. Which may be the reason Wolves avoided it.
I think Disasi (linked with every club) and Lloyd Kelly wouldn't be bad options we need competition for cb and RCB. I have nothing against Krejci think he will develop the next few months and it is a strength having two left footed cbs.
My comment regarding Tanganga was why would we sign a cb that is relegated to league 1? We should be aiming to move higher up the league.
TFIOG really not sure on Emmanuel? Strange how it has dropped off so much hopelly Vitor can get it right with the team during the break.
The midfield is interesting I think both are the target of the opposition press so we need forwards to move and offer outlets for Sa and the defence to play long. Or Arias and Marshall need to come short so the defence can go over the first press by the opposition.
Absolutely we need someone like Yuri Alberto. Hopefully Tolu is a similar player to Aghehowa in that he is strong and a complete forward offering a different solution to what we have. I still think we need pace as that could be an outlet for a long ball out of defence.
In terms of the formation it's not so much a concern for me I think we just need a little bit of time to develop the connections between the different players I'm sure they will come good.
A CB, CM and forward would be ideal though.
14.) 31 Aug 2025 19:17:31
Toti and Hwang are liabilities, they just aren't good enough for this league.
How Toti got the armband is beyond me'its unbelievable if I'm honest.
The leadership in that squad must be paper thin if he's the most commanding one there.
I can only think the reason Gomes hasn't taken it is because he's always on the edge of getting sent off due to how he plays the game.
15.) 31 Aug 2025 19:38:04
Madman - completely agree re Veiga.
I have been told on here that apparently the fee is low as Chelsea retain significant interest/control in/over the player?
16.) 31 Aug 2025 21:16:42
But veiga is at Juventus. Next year Tanganga. Right the future is gold?
17.) 31 Aug 2025 22:07:57
But Tanganga isn't ready to play week in week out in the prem similar to Djiga (who has played CL by the way).
Djiga and Tanganga wouldn't be good enough over a season. I have doubts over Mosquera as well.
CB required urgently to provide cover for RCB or CB.
18.) 01 Sep 2025 01:59:26
Free agent CB cover Jason Denayer
Ex Celtic Lyon man city player

Superb player! And then Tanganga next summer!
19.) 01 Sep 2025 02:08:00
What about Takehiro Tomiyasu?
He’s free!

Tolu to Ajax being reported by Talking Wolves and Fancast on Instagram.
1.) 27 Jul 2026 22:46:08
Sky reporting that 'Ajax to end Arokadores nightmare at Wolves', cheeky gits! Think you will find it's the fans' nightmare, not his; he's the one getting paid to be an absolute liability. ?
2.) 28 Jul 2026 09:56:42
He's about 6 foot 15 and couldn't out jump Dennis Wise. ??
3.) 28 Jul 2026 16:09:43
Don't forget his wonderful penalty-taking halftime. He can roll a ball into the keeper's area from 12yds perfectly.
17 Jul 2026 17:12:40
There’s a lot of moaning about Fosun, as always, but just wondering, where do you think we would be now if they had never bought the club. Because, glutamate we are now in a similar place to where we started under them, however have had some great games and a couple of great seasons, in the Europa League, FA Cup semi etc.
I understand that feels a long way away now, but where do you think we’d be now, and what do you think would have happened to the club if Fosun never bought us? (Obviously there is no chance of saying for sure, I’m just making a point that, despite now running us shockingly, Fosun did once provide us with some great memories and experiences.)
1.) 17 Jul 2026 19:14:55
Who knows what Wolverhampton Wanderers would look like now had Fosun never strode into town.
It's very possible that Wolves would be in a worse position. It's also possible that Wolves would be in a better position.
Whatever Fosun achieved in the past - helped enormously by Mendes - they're simply not up to the task anymore.
They don't have the skillset to run a successful Premier League football team. Whether they have the finances or not, they don't have the knowledge, desire or inclination to turn Wolves into anything but what they are now.
2.) 17 Jul 2026 19:38:46
True, we wouldn't have enjoyed the success we had under Nuno, but the style of play over the last 2 seasons is my main concern, because we were awful to watch.
3.) 17 Jul 2026 20:46:53
It's the ssn. They didn't back Nuno when it all started to go wrong. Two 7th places and an FA Cup semi final were the time for major investment to push on. Nuno left, and it was downhill from then on. The reason Nuno left was being refused the money to invest. Relegation was just a matter of time.
4.) 18 Jul 2026 14:20:28
Fosun have failed on two accounts, as I see it. Firstly, on poor player trading: buying deadwood and selling on good players cheaply is not a good strategy. Their lack of football knowledge, and eagerness to take poor advice, has been disastrous. In that respect, we compare badly to clubs like Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace, etc. Secondly, they did not improve and expand Molineux early on. This would have improved income, and could have been paid for by Fosun without breaking financial rules of the day.
Now, with such poor player trading and static income, they cannot put cash in for fear of breaking the rules and thus getting points deductions. These may be a simplified view, but they stand out to me as big errors. Fosun are an investment company, and it is shocking that they did not seem to do their homework before purchasing Wolves and thus made simple but costly errors. They also played on fans' aspirations with false promises. If they get this season wrong, there will be a wholesale fire sale of players.
5.) 18 Jul 2026 15:00:23
Yes, there was promise and action from Fosun early on, but since the Chinese government changed their minds regarding investing in football, it's all gone to s***.
And, there are no guarantees we're going to get a reset and do it all again. Fosun are an investment company, just not in us!
11 Jul 2026 10:57:45
That’s Rafiki in then. Despite a lot of negative comments on here, I think he will be a decent player. Scored at least 8 goals in all of the last 4 seasons, looks creative from highlights I’ve seen. As long as he can adapt quickly, which will be helped by him having a full preseason, I think he should do very well this year.
Also, the fact that Matt Jackson has said he’s on of Cesars priorites is good, as it shows we are signing players we actually want, and getting our business done early.
25 Jan 2026 09:38:01
I know it probably wouldn’t have changed anything but anyone else think mane should have had a pen yesterday?
I thought we lined up wrong yesterday, but we were possibly the better team second half after RE realised the changes that needed to happen. However the game was over by then due to a poor first half selection/performance.
1.) 25 Jan 2026 13:24:15
I don't think is was a penalty and fair play to Mane for getting up so quickly.
What I did notice was how the commentary team didn't bat an eyelid when Rodri made a high challenge from behind on Andre but were adamant that Mosquera should have seen red for an a challenge on Doku.
2.) 25 Jan 2026 13:58:39
I felt we could have had one after Silva kept trying to rugby tackle JSL on corners.
3.) 25 Jan 2026 15:14:04
That challenge on Andre certainly got mentioned on Wolves radio commentary Goodwhile, abit of pro job by the sound of it and should of been punished, also the shoving of larsen into the net was noticed VB, obviously the ref and VAR had eyes elsewhere.
Still abit puzzled at REs line up, we've nothing to really lose now so go out to entertain and give us a goal or so to celebrate. Maybe away at City isn't the time to do it?.
It'll be a more 'telling' game v bournmouth next week, hopefully we'll give em a game.
4.) 25 Jan 2026 16:12:51
I’m still puzzled by the line up Abbey maybe Tolu is carrying an injury and that’s why he was brought on after Larsen. Tolu is the only player we have who can hold the ball up front and that gives us time to get out of defence I think he creates space for Mane to work in so should be starting if fit. Larsen doesn’t seem to be able to play as a target man but would play him instead of Chang to work off Tolu. I agree about Silva holding on the corners and I thought they supposed to be cracking down on that but again Larsen needs to be more physical he’s 6ft 4 and Silva is 5ft 8 so to be pushed around at corners is a bit poor maybe needs some coaching from Duncan Fergusson he would have bashed Silva.
Also be good to start Rodrigo as Jackson has had enough chances now and is not good enough. Let’s go for it against Bournemouth we got nothing to lose COYW
5.) 25 Jan 2026 17:08:22
Absolutely agree re Larsen major Frank, I noticed on m.o.day he was simply laughing as he got pushed about, I know that's abit of his character, but as you say he needs some hardening, (maybe not to fergusins level).
I think we've seen enough of hwang now, he's not worth 90 mins for the few decent things he'd give us.
I've mentioned it before but I really fancy Hugo infront of Wolfe on the left, I've seen him in the U21 and he can certainly fulfill a role going forward.
6.) 25 Jan 2026 17:58:05
Good shout Abbey on Hugo in front of Wolfe he’s not too scared to have a shot and that’s what we need 17 points behind Forest now so no point going for a draw anymore we need wins!
7.) 25 Jan 2026 19:10:45
I think the club should come clean on why Hwang has to play. Surely one of the mangers we've had here would have sorted it out. Surely RE can see he weakens the team. Anyone sitting on the bench would have been an upgrade.
We were playing city without a striker, even Mane should not be up front especially on his own, he looked quality when he moved back and Larsen came on.
8.) 26 Jan 2026 10:48:58
I was sitting next to a keen Arsenal fan at a charity lunch this past weekend. On the evidence of our performance away to Arsenal he couldn't understand our league position. He thought we were a good team. More evidence I suppose of Jeff's criminal incompetence in transfer dealings and giving VP an extended contract.
9.) 26 Jan 2026 12:28:34
Deep the side as currently configured
Sa, Jackson, Yerson, Emmanuel, Krejci, Bueno, Andre, Gomes, Mane, Bellegarde, Tolu is far far too good to be where the side is but as you say for reasons on Jeff knows the club decided to burn the first half of the season after a truly awful transfer window.
Sadly at least 5 of that side will go this summer probably more and what is left may not be good enough to survive in the Champ!
10.) 26 Jan 2026 13:49:29
TFIOG3, surely if Jackson, Krejci and Tolu are included in your list of too good to be where we are, this indicates that the transfer window wasn't a complete disaster and that the bigger issue was Vitor Pereira and the way he set up the team. Shi should have left in 2024 when he made the ridiculous comments about if you wanted to support a winning team, then Wolves wasn't for you.
The recruitment has been a shambles for a while and that is 100% due to Jeff and his incompetencies.
11.) 26 Jan 2026 16:02:30
A notable remark by RE not long ago was that there was 'alot of anger' around molineux when he arrived. Dunno if he meant Fans, players or background staff, well we the fans were angry and we didn't need telling that so who did he mean.?
Jeff conveniently moved over to quieten the unrest with us, and RE has improved the player passion.
Has Shi II got the message? Well there's a week to find out how many bids may be rejected or accepted, and what he'll be prepared to sanction in recruitment.
12.) 26 Jan 2026 17:27:25
Deep I hope you mentioned to your Arsenal fan friend that it was the violent assault by David Luiz on Raul that was a major contribution to our subsequent down turn
13.) 26 Jan 2026 17:50:58
Good - fair point!
Wolves transfer dealings have been truly awful for several years now! Given the turnover in staff over this period it is probably fair to say it, and indeed everything that has happened, is Jeff's fault!
Vitor was also, as you say, a total disaster and should have gone in the summer or, even if you couldn't see the writing on the wall, in the early weeks of the season - again Jeff's fault!
However re the side I select above Jackson is only in the side as there is simply no one else.
Krejci is perfectly ok in fact better than that and Tolu is adequate.
Tolu is nothing like as good as the JSL of last year but better than the traffic cone that he has become.
But Wolves lost Cunha, Semedo, RAN and Sarabia last summer so adding a good Krejci and an adequate Tolu still makes it a truly awful window.
Plus to be better than where the side currently sits is sadly is not difficult The side includes 2 top 6 players in Gomes and Andre and other top half talents like Emmanuel and yes Krejci, so it can still carry some very modest players like Jackson and Tolu and still be far far better than where it currently sits.
14.) 26 Jan 2026 19:45:38
We should be in a position where as a club, we are looking to sign the likes of Oscar Bobb and Acheampong rather than waiting until the end of the window and begging has been PL players to sign for us. No ambition.
15.) 28 Jan 2026 11:49:59
I was including Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandos in my starting lineup when we play our first game in the EFL - we have been chasing him for two years -he wants to play in Uk. I genuinely believed that this was a done deal once we dumped one of our goalkeepers -but no-. I see Bournemouth have picked him up for Only £1.3 million loan and an option to buy at£13 million. I was in direct sales home improvements for 45 years we had to close a dealto earn the money or starve.
It seems the the negotiating team we have do not have the ability to close doors never mind closing deals for players. Obviously, if there is no money to be spent on players then there is no need for any of these people to be travelling the world looking for talent on Wolves behalf - unless we are being used as an upfront option for certain football agency/ agencies
16 Jan 2026 17:20:31
More than halfway through January now. Nothing apart from krecji in term of signings. Have fosun accepted our relegation? Or are they planning to sell the club?
1.) 16 Jan 2026 18:43:18
I'm sure that even they can see relegation is nailed on but I hope they're planning to sell.
2.) 16 Jan 2026 19:28:22
If as many have said. Most of our current players are only championship standard.
Then shouldn't we try and keep as many of them as we can, if were going down.
Surely they could improve in that league
3.) 17 Jan 2026 07:21:32
Championship players on premiership wages greyleg, can we would Fosun fund them?
Plus I'm not convinced that they're committed to the shirt. We need players who'll give everything for Wolverhampton wanderers not just their bank balance.
4.) 17 Jan 2026 09:06:17
I believe all players at the club have a pay cut in there contracts and it could be up to 50%.
5.) 17 Jan 2026 12:26:59
That'll see a few of em off then baza!
24 Jul 2026 08:32:41
Never seen him play, but think I've read somewhere a Stoke fan said he's one of the best keepers in the league. Not sure how much you can believe of that tho.
11 Jul 2026 11:00:03
At least 8 goals in all of his last 4 seasons. Feels like what we were missing last year - since Cunha left, we haven't had a proper goal threat.
19 Jun 2026 16:52:41
Don't rate him personally.
06 Feb 2026 17:11:08
So an overall loss when factoring in wages
04 Feb 2026 18:42:15
I may be wrong but wasn’t Agbadou clocked as one of the top 10 fastest players in the prem last season?
16 Jul 2026 11:03:24
Yeah, it's gutting that one. If he goes there, it will hurt. Expected him to leave, but can't imagine him playing for Villa. He is a great signing for them. I don't believe we should be letting him go for less than 45 mill, especially not to Villa.
11 Jul 2026 14:58:13
I assume Raul + Jose Sa may be late back from the World Cup.
07 Jul 2026 18:02:46
They painted some of the billy, took em all season tho.
19 Jun 2026 16:53:52
Yeah, I don't rate him, BullysBoy. He hasn't looked that good when I've watched him this season. I also think Jimenez and Armstrong will complement each other well, although we will probably only start with 1 striker.
18 Mar 2026 16:46:35
VAR can't change a yellow, I don't think. It's the refs that are the problem.
