Weimann won't be released by Derby as we have an option to purchase him. If they released him he would be a free agent and we could sign him for zilch, instead of circa £1.5mil in the option agreement.

Whoever comes in needs to be quick about it. How can he assess the squad? It's taken PL 6 months and now the season is over! I'm not a huge fan but he's not the worst! I also think Jeff Shi was told from above as he thought PL was staying and even said so 2 weeks ago. I expect he will get pissed off with all this as no one will believe anything he says anymore! Basically, it's has become a farse! 👎😥⚽ï¸.

What do we think about or know about Fosun? They are wealthy and have business acumen, however, NO football business acumen, 4 managers in 10 months, tell that tale! Expecting a new manager to come in, assess the team who are on holiday and decide what players he wants to keep, who he wants to buy and release in the next 2.5 months seems like a tall order to me. Will he be the quality manager we all want, and how long will he last? These I think are all valid questions given what we have come to know about Fosun. I think Jeff Shi gets told one thing and then another by his reverred leaders! Meaning he says one thing one minute and another the next, so no one will believe a word he says moving forward in or out of the club. That's not a tenable position all by itself is it? No credibility. Anyone coming to the club will have to look at, and consider all this crap before signing on the dotted line won't they? The future looks bleak from where I'm standing. I want to be wrong and hope I am. They, Fosun, are in the last chance saloon I think. If we're not careful we will hear people comparing us to the venkies at Blackburn. This is fast turning into a Nightmare me thinks. 👎.

If Lambert goes it's a Godsend we are lucky Blackburn and Wigan have been worse than us this season. Us beating Liverpool was the highlight of our season and this papered over cracks and problems. Bring in Karanka / Silva!

Seen goals on sky sports, what an exciting match fair play to Wolves from coming from 3-1 down to 4-3 up then Fulham equalise
In injury time due to bad defending again and although Fulhams earlier goals were taken well it was still bad defending on our part by giving them to much room.
The chances we missed were unbelievable how Dicho and Cavilaro missed I will never know they were easier to score I counted 4 chances watching highlights but what an entertaining game of football which is credit to the team and Paul Lambert.
Has to sort defence out but Lambert will now that on today's evidence, they have had to many chances to prove there selves but unfortunately they are not good enough although they try there hardest.

Our team is so poor at ball retention its unbelievable, teams are coming down the Mol and we make them look like Barcelona.
once we reverted to direct play yesterday we immediately got our rewards. Until he gets a defence that can defend and midfielders who can pass then he has to stick to 442 and play direct.

The whole spine of the team needs addressing. Two quality defenders at the back, at least one commanding Thorobreds in the middle and two quality strikers, then maybe we can start to edge forward. 😉.

Morning All,
There is so much conflicting information around our Club.
Absorbing it all, my take is that Lopetegui is not demanding huge transfer funds, he understands the Club's situation.
His frustration is driven by Shi's lack of decision-making. He just wants to agree a budget and plan for ins and outs and get on with it, so he has much time with the new squad as possible.
Not an unreasonable position.
Mr Guangchang needs to give another kick up the backside!

I think your on the mark to a degree rugely, the degree being that until they know who's going and for what income, what wage bill etc it'd be difficult to balance a budget out. Then if JL has targets how much that expenditure would be. The crux of things being can JL go ahead and make plans and approaches now as opposed to waiting for income and savings, effectively needing a 'bridging' kitty which would be abit of a gamble for fosun to supply and of course FFP regulations compliance. I think JL just needs an underwritten assurance, but of course it has to fita business model of sorts. Guess we can do nothing but hope wait and see.

Spurs may make more money than Wolves, but if JL thinks that Levi will give him the resources he needs inline with their expectations as a club in comparison to where wolves are then he will be in for a big shock. All he'd get out of Spurs is a pay rise.

Assuming Shi doesn't cause any issues, Lopetegui and his team will stay with us because it is the only gig in the Premiership were he would have control of all Footballing matters. A Club like Spurs has too many others having a say, ie Levy, Sporting Director etc.

The reality is Neves is going to be the makeweight in Wolves purchase of Fati who arguably we wouldn't be interested in signing unless Mendes was desperate to do the deal. Just seen a photo on a twitter account (Rob Dorsett, I think of Sky) of Adama Traore at #wwfc training ground.
So must be close to an announcement.
I know some who are dubious about this signing. just a couple of reassuring facts:
1. When in Premiership in 2016 (20 yo) he was measured as the 7th fastest player
2. Last year, when dribbling, beat 269 opponents. next best was only 130!
Also despite not many goals, plenty of Assists in the last couple of seasons.
I think it is another brilliant bit of business by Nuno!

Unfortunately, I fear the next transfer window will be more about allowing disillusioned players to be sold. and I sense there are quite a few of them!
Until Fosun relieve Shi of his title and create a pro-active Board, the future looks dark.

Our CEO/Football Director has made a statement about the new manager.
On extract stood out for me."We need to refresh the whole club with a new coach’s philosophy".
If he had left it at, "We need to refresh the whole club", I would have been much happier.
Sadly, Fosun are showing no signs of replacing a passive CEO, with one that is pro-active.

Fosun's reluctance to sack him is killing our Club.

No great surprise, Wolves are on their knees, if Edwards is what Shi wants, then Boro will look to screw him for compensation (apparently there is a release clause).
If Edwards is Shi's next choice, I think next year, likely to be in the Championship, it will be a different squad and a struggle.again.
Fosun should be sorting out he Leadership of the Club as well. Shi is taking us down!

Rated, agree I thought the the way we played yesterday was better.
My take on recent events is:
1. Pereria submits transfer "wish list"
2. Shi let's Hobbs go and re-structures with himself Head of Football
3. He procrastinates over targets, many then missed
4. Summer pre-season poor, results were dreadful, no new signings.
5. Manager frustrated, then panic buys, which the manager is not happy about.
6. Effectively our preseason is the first few games of the season as Pereria trys to find best player options.
7. Pereria (like those before) has enough of Shi and it felt like he went on strike to engineer his exit (no credit to him)
8. Shi delays too long before sacking him and now we are nailed on for relegation.
I just find it difficult to understand Fosun leaving Shi insitu.

My problem is Shi/Fosun have been involved with this Club for 9+ years. As a result, it is ridiculous they remain football illiterate.
Poor planning and the lack of the creation of a sensible strategy, not just words and then blind panic has created this situation.
The January transfer window will not save us this time.
Allowing Shi to appoint himself Head of Football was crass. What a mess he has created.
Not sure of Edward's decision-making either. Appreciate he loves the Club, but he must have known the risks.
I just can't see any positive way forward and that makes me very sad.

None of us no the real truth about our summer activities.
However, trying to piece together the way things evolved.
1. Pereira submits transfer target list pre-summer.
2. Shi announces new Football structure, brings in a Strategist (that
went well!). Hobbs moved out as Head of Football (he had the
network and Palace snapped him up).
3. Makes himself Head of Football, without the network of Hobbs.
4. Reviews Pereira's list, spends too long reviewing and then
rejects most or too late to approach successfully.
5. Internal gossip suggests panic sets in and Recruitment team
chasing too many uninterested targets and end up with in the
main, with unsuitable recruits.
6. The season now starts and manager hasn't had time to assess
new players.
7. New Head of Football announces "manager has 90% of his
targets". Really?!
8. A few games in, it is clear after trial and error, we don't have the
resources to survive.
9. Manager frustrated (haven't we heard that before?) and looks to
work his ticket (bizarre selections and tactics). Not a good look,
but he was not the first to go down that route.
10.Club now in free fall and still Fosun do nothing about the senior
management of the Club!
11. Caring fans absolutely in despair.

Sadly A449, it has been clear from the beginning, there is not enough quality in the side. Especially when you look at say, Sunderland!
I am sure I will get criticised for this, but Larson just does not look interested.
If it is tough this season, as it stands, I fear for us next year in the Championship
