Just read an article linking us with free agent Kasper Schmeichel. If Sa moves to Saudi as it's also been rumoured this would be a nice move.
1.) 02 Jul 2024 14:06:57
That's a no for me. The guy is past his best, there is a reason Lecister sold him two seasons ago.
2.) 03 Jul 2024 10:03:55
Only way it could make sense is if Schmeichel was signed as third-choice back-up keeper with a view to him becoming goalkeeper-coach eventually.
3.) 03 Jul 2024 14:33:04
Would be happy with Schmeichel as an upgraded replacement for Bentley but not as a replacement for Sa. Tom Kings got a new 3 year contract so he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

The papers are back with Isco talk of joining us. Plus Bentley due to take his medical.
McKennie, a player I like, being offered to teams including Villa.
Thoughts Guys?
1.) 25 Jan 2023 15:29:00
GDawg14 Mckennie looked good for USA in the world cup but how many MF do we need but he would be an upgrade. If we sell Nunes in the summer I'd definitely go for Mckennie as I see it Neves Mountihno and may be Nunes might all leave so could have some cash to spend.
2.) 25 Jan 2023 16:08:50
Not sure about the Isco one GDawg because if Gomes does join that would be 7 signings plus Wolves allegedly still want a RB and a striker, making it potentially 9.
I know that JL will be looking to start the rebuild early in preparation for those leaving in the summer but these must represent a big increase in the wage bill let alone the amortised transfer fees added to the bottom line. Maybe it's an indicator of how many will be leaving in the summer. I'm guessing Neves, Mouts, Adama, Jonny, Raul, Costa and possibly Guedes and Hoever.
McKennie is a good player, but probably linked to Villa due to their US owners.
3.) 26 Jan 2023 06:20:13
Apparently McKinnie has agreed personal terms with Leeds, clubs have yet to agree a fee.
18 Jan 2023 22:25:56
Reports are Conor Ronsn potentially off to MLS to play with Jack Price.
15 Jan 2023 21:13:53
Romano suggesting we might still be in the running for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they have an interest in a Celtic RB despite his recent form.
I'd be happy with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Semedo competing for RB. Kilman, Collins and Souttar competing for CB and Bueno and Rayan competing for LB. Knowing Toti, Dexter, Yerson and Dion are developing.
Then we can sell Jonny and move Ki-Jana along.
That's my defensive best case scenario.
1.) 15 Jan 2023 21:44:16
GDawg - good post. Would require a fair bit in fees to be paid and I would guess AWB will be on big money but Otto and Hoever being moved on may balance out to some extent - well probably only on wages as I doubt we would get anything for either of our two departees.
ps think Bolla def has a future as well and Giles and maybe even Marques shouldn't be written off.
2.) 15 Jan 2023 22:38:57
Lopetegui has a history with Jonny so I think he might stay.
3.) 15 Jan 2023 23:14:11
Thanks future.
I'd think we could get something for Jonny. Nothing substantial mind.
I'd forgotten about Bolla and Marques. I was going to add Giles but looks like Boro use him more of a midfielder now than a defender.
The academy looks healthy in defence too with Matheson, Tipton, Pond, Richards so something could come good out of there in the coming years. We need homegrown players in the squad.
I quite liked the look of Ivan Fresneda we were linked to but I think that was purely in the clickbaits.
4.) 16 Jan 2023 04:35:17
Don't forget we have Dexter Lembixta who gave a good account if himself against Liverpool in the cup game.
I think Liverpool caught us with our pants down regarding Ki-Jan Hoever.
5.) 16 Jan 2023 05:29:01
We also have Lonwijk at Plymouth who's having a good season. Another one for the future.
6.) 16 Jan 2023 06:33:36
Apologies, you did mention Dexter Lembixta.
My Ki-Jan Hoever comment still stands.
7.) 16 Jan 2023 07:03:50
I think Liverpool had our pants down twice here. once with Ki-Jana and second with the extremely slow payment plan for Jota in the same week.
04 Jan 2023 21:30:05
Manchester United Twitter pages talking about Wan Bisakka and Wolves again. or Wolves and Palace.
Previous mentions of West Ham have been dropped.

Sorry to spam the forum... I am drinking in Frankfurt airport with a long layover.
Now we are rid of Ki-Jana Hoever, would anyone like to rank our Dutch former Wolves?
John de Wolf
Dave de Jong
Robin van der Laan
Hans Segers
Stefan Postma
Dorus de Vries
Rajiv van La Parra
Ola John
Paul Gladon
Nigel Lonwijk
Ki-Jana Hoever
With help from Google lol.
1.) 26 Aug 2026 10:56:04
Some of those hardly even played for us, and I'd still put Hoever right near the bottom! Liverpool played an absolute blinder, convincing us he was worth £12m when Jota was worth £40m, meaning we essentially sold them Jota for the bargain price of £28m!
Good luck to Hoever, but good riddance as well.
Too many managers have complained about his attitude for there not to be something in it. For me, De Wolf has to be top of that list; what a technically gifted player he was! La Parra would also be quite high up, he blew hot and cold but on his day would skip past players for fun. ??
2.) 26 Aug 2026 11:04:29
Yeah, it's not a strong list, is it, other than those two. Rajiv Van La Parra was probably right for us at the time, and he played for SC Heerenveen for a while afterwards. I always liked their jersey. Like a modern interpretation of Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts.
But instead of croquet, they play football.
De Wolf is a legend, but the others are a bit pants for us, aren't they. I remember Ola John being great on FIFA, and jury's out on what career Lonwijk will forge. But the others, I cannot remember really doing anything in the old Gold.
26 Aug 2026 10:10:25
Former Wolf Allan Nielsen convicted of a tax scandal in Denmark. Remember being excited when we signed him as a kid but cannot remember him ever playing!
26 Aug 2026 09:28:33
Just landed in Frankfurt on the 06.05 flight from BHX and I can confirm that Sasa was not on the plane going back to Frankfurt.
1.) 26 Aug 2026 16:11:08
He was in seat 2A.
09 Aug 2026 11:41:04
Middlesbrough have now signed Vitek and Lankshear. Possibly the two best homegrown signings with development potential in the league.
1.) 09 Aug 2026 12:54:10
On another subject, am I right in thinking Middlesbrough, Sheff Utd, and Wolves all share the same sponsor on the front of the shirt? Seems strange to have so many teams with the same sponsor.
14 Jul 2026 12:28:17
Wolves really need to get this goalkeeper situation sorted out. I have liked Sa. He has been an incredible shot stopper at times, but he has been linked to exits for so long. It seems his head goes sometimes, and Johnson is fragile.
Bentley wasn't up to it when he was in goal. We need someone youngish and keen as soon as possible. I heard several people talk about who they would like but habe we actually been linked to anyone recently?
1.) 14 Jul 2026 14:36:12
Zetterstrom, Rushworth, Victor Johanson, Patterson, and some fans claim Radek Vitek.
2.) 14 Jul 2026 18:00:05
Patterson is going to Wrexham.
3.) 14 Jul 2026 19:20:12
Rushworth is in advanced talks to go back to Coventry. It may have been finalised now.
Can't remember the name, but we're supposedly very keen on a young Swedish goalie playing in the Swedish league.
Also, people knock Bentley, but he has a good record at Championship level, so I wouldn't mind him mentoring a young keeper and sharing first team appearances with them.
26 Aug 2026 01:41:34
Renato Sanchez to Wolves. :D
I used to like that one.
21 Aug 2026 07:45:29
Sa to start, Bentley to leave.
Hopefully, Krejci and Hugo start too, with Toti and Wolfe leaving. Here's to hoping!
18 Aug 2026 18:20:27
Totally agree with you, BullysBoy. We seem to sign players that get very injured very soon after signing them, so I often wonder how good our medical assessment team is!!
18 Aug 2026 18:18:29
I wouldn't mind if we gave Sasa another try!!
However, slow Traore, Hwang and Hoever need to be moved on.
18 Aug 2026 12:01:45
Could become a cult hero putting his body on the line like that if we stay up by a point / make the playoffs by a point.
26 Aug 2026 11:04:29

25 Aug 2026 14:51:25
I'm interested to see if Hugo starts again (hope so!), or if Slow Traore gets minutes, as there have been rumours of him leaving. It would be an ideal match to play Sasa in if he was to stay.
25 Aug 2026 13:29:51
I've got one.
They sold us a dud.
They sold us a dud.
Ki-Jana Hoever.
They sold us a dud.
22 Aug 2026 14:23:12
You've forgotten Roger Johnson and Jamie O'Hara. ??
Jokes aside, you have missed Matt Jarvis and Robbie Keane!! Maybe Ludo Pollet?
19 Aug 2026 16:45:00
I always feel like Welsh, Scottish and Irish players should be considered home grown.
