I'm not a huge advocate for Edwards, but the timing seems strange given that we've already had a month of building the squad for The Championship. Raul's, Trippier's and Andre's extensions link back to Edwards by all accounts. I don't think this is the right move at all. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That's true. However, Wilson is 29 and was class last season. I do think we should go for more homegrown players, though.

Agree we need pace going forward. Harry Wilson is never joining us though. He will have aims of joining a top-half Prem side. I imagine Villa might go in for him.

I think it's arbitrary to speculate until we get to January anyway. If we're bottom with only a couple of more points than we have now the season is done and no one will be joining.
