I don't get why missing out on Nick Pope is seen as a bad thing. He used to be a great keeper, but ask a Newcastle fan, and they all, or the majority, think he's a busted flush.
His weaknesses have been exposed, and he's lost confidence. Granted, he may get this back, but wage-wise he could be an expensive gamble if you're granting him he'll be first choice.

I'm sorry, but has Tolu not scored for us? You can question his attitude or his willingness to run around, but saying he can't hit a barn door is just rubbish. His record in Belgium and the quality of the finish on a couple of goals for us prove that.
At Championship level, he'll be fine. But, given that he and Armstrong are likely to be our only out-and-out strikers still here, and you need more than 2 for the long Championship season, links to at least 2 more make sense.

How were VP's stats better? We had 2 points when he left, with nearly half the season gone, and we weren’t going to get close to double figures at that stage. The players were all unfit and took weeks to get match sharp, but hey, yes VP was blatantly better than Rob. ?♂️
Yes, the football wasn’t good, but in Jan he was allowed to replace JSL with Armstrong and Lopes, who wanted to leave, with Angel Gomes, so hardly strengthening the squad. So what were people expecting?
If we get rid of Rob, who do you think we can get who is better, other than taking a risk on an up and coming newer manager and hoping it pays off? I doubt a good, experienced, successful manager will come, knowing we are likely to lose a number of our better players, such as Santi, Hugo, Joao, etc., and not get more than about 40 mill to replace them, as I doubt Fosun will allow all we receive to be spent, as our wage bill will still be higher than most in championship.

Don't understand the Rob out shouts, he was hamstrung last season when he came in with an unfit, unbalanced squad that was horrendously low on confidence. He has turned it round as best he could with what he had. Give him a preseason, rebalance the squad, and not only should we come straight back up, but be equipped to stay in the prem with Rob still in charge.
Middlesbrough fans may have complained when he left, but they loved him whilst he was there as he was taking them up automatic - they fell like a stone when he left and were lucky to make playoffs.
