Well I said I had a feeling about tonight, call it a premonition if you like but more likely a recognition of the improvements and the expectation that generates.
Either way, yet another excellent result so will RE make me eat my words by the end of the season, I certainly hope so. Well done Wolves.
03 Mar 2026 23:14:01
Probably too, too late. But we may get off bottom place, which will be something at least. Some winnable games left, but running out of time. Great performance tho. Again Arsenal, Villa, Liverpool. 7 points. Who knew. 😁
03 Mar 2026 22:21:30
What a result tonight! Their goal only came from a poor pass which they capitalised on - the pass shouldn't have even been attempted in the first place and I'm sure RE will point that out after the celebrations. But what an overall performance. Constantly fighting, pushing, some great defending, awesome save by Sa (made up for his dreadful goal kick!), loving seeing Jackson straight into making the runs and using his strengths! Out of our remaining fixtures, I saw tonight and City as the only ones that we were most likely to drop points.
It will take some luck and scores going out way, but we also have to play those around us, so my question is this.Is the great escape in progress?!
03 Mar 2026 22:33:25
Only listened on radio, unbelievable.
Wow.
03 Mar 2026 22:39:13
Proper end to end football tonight. To the neutral, it wasn't the best, but both teams looked to attack at any given opportunity, which made for a brilliant game.
03 Mar 2026 22:19:27
B'hell, when bellegarde put them equal I thought we'd end losing but fair play we got back up there. Not the prettiest, not the most together but we can't criticise the effort and desire. Great feeling tonight.
Just got to do it all again Fri. now.
Does lightening strike twice?
COYW.

Late home tonight from the match.
But isn't it great to see not the best of squads, but playing as a team, for 90 minutes, and working hard.
Fabulous atmosphere in the ground tonight.
I need a good rest now before a repeat, and hopefully of the result too, on Friday. :))
03 Mar 2026 22:14:33
Great result COYW.
03 Mar 2026 22:25:10
We couldn't do it, could we? The faintest of hopes still left.
03 Mar 2026 22:12:16
Fantastic!
03 Mar 2026 20:13:06
I'm not one for bashing players ( henri camara and cuhna being the exception to my rule) but I have to say my heart sinks anytime I see Hwangs name in the line up/ subs bench
03 Mar 2026 18:27:33
Hope Rob makes changes tonight and go full strength on Friday for the Fa cup match?
03 Mar 2026 20:07:58
Looks like that is exactly what he has done. Selection made to lose. We will see what happens Friday.
03 Mar 2026 22:23:12
Gig, that comment aged well, mate. Let's see what Friday brings. No doubt they will be out for blood!
03 Mar 2026 17:19:36
Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking about tonight's game.
I know Villa fans are usually nervous about playing us, especially at the Mol, but even they must have been expecting to win that one. It wasn't just by the odd lucky goal either.
If it's 0-0 at half time dare we hope for another result or do I just need to go and have a lie down?
03 Mar 2026 17:56:24
Personally, I think we have a much better chance in the cup on Friday. I just don't think we have the strength in depth to compete with Liverpool over two games. RE will have to prioritise, and as we're pretty much relegated, I think he'll put our strongest team out on Friday and hope we can progress in that competition.
03 Mar 2026 17:09:03
Is it to be another memorable night?
Is it to be another shambles?
Who can tell these days?
I'm hoping for an end to end performance with a few surprises up our sleeves.
Let's hope it's a good game and enjoyable for all in the old gold.
2-1 COYW
03 Mar 2026 20:10:06
He's playing Doherty. Abbey doesn't fill me with confidence.
03 Mar 2026 21:08:29
Well it's 0-0 HT Les, not a lot going either way, admittedly, and we look a little more 'fragile', should I say. But Andre, Gomez and Angel are doing a relatively decent job.
If only they could release the ball forward quicker at times, we might be able to sneak in.
Tolu second half? Maybe, but I fear there's more chance of Hwang as RE is looking to go with speed.
03 Mar 2026 21:16:34
First time I've ever seen Hwang and speed mentioned in the same sentence, Abbey.
03 Mar 2026 21:47:00
Like it, Old Wulf. It's Rodrigo he's gone with, thankfully.
03 Mar 2026 22:14:51
Eh em! Les, never any doubt about it. Lol.
03 Mar 2026 22:31:36
I have to hold my hands up, Abbey, mate. Great results. Is The Great Escape on, lol.
01 Mar 2026 21:16:04
Hey guys, well done on our game Friday night you deserved the win, had to wait a few days to let some of the bitterness fade 😂😂 for what it's worth I hope ye can stay up, from the outside looking in there seems to be some fight left in your squad. good luck in the cup and the rest of the league👊
01 Mar 2026 22:59:46
Thanks Whackattack, we do seem to be your bogey side. Having said that, it's hard to get too excited given our position. Personally, I'd rather lose to you lot in exchange for being nowhere near the relegation zone.
02 Mar 2026 03:25:58
Thanks, mate. I hope you guys do make the top 4, tbh, just to rattle the entitled 6 lol.
02 Mar 2026 10:00:18
Thanks, Whackattack. If we're your bogey side, every other team is our bogey side! At least you're a proper football club, history-wise, like us. I hear that Prince William supports you. Best of luck for the remainder of the season.
02 Mar 2026 17:37:23
Cheers, Whackattack. We'll need all the luck available, mate. I do wish you all the luck back. I hope you can break the 'big' monopoly in the top 4. You're a lot better than we are.
03 Mar 2026 08:26:46
Kind words, Whackattack. Good luck in busting the cartel.
03 Mar 2026 18:12:56
Won't be easy for us to get top 5 with the corruption in PGMOL. The United game on Sunday was a disgrace. Injuries to our midfield haven't helped either. Hopefully you guys can do us a few favours and take points from the Sky 6.
28 Feb 2026 13:04:11
The football gods have been in touch. We will beat Liverpool once this week, and lose the other. If we win the league game, we will go to the last game of the season to see if we stay up or not, or win the cup game and will reach the final. Which would we prefer?!?!?!
28 Feb 2026 13:50:17
We're going down Plymouth, so not overly concerned, league win wise, but it'd be nice to go out with a bang and the FA Cup. Remember Wigan, I think, doing it. But we should aim to get something out of every game regardless. The problem now is fitness and stamina. RE hasn't the squad to play with too much. I get the strongest out on Friday.
28 Feb 2026 15:06:55
I assume this is all hypothetical. Difficult one, as our last game is against Burnley, so if it's a win-and-stay-up scenario, that would be tempting, but would staying up mean Fosun change their approach (as going down surely does)? As for winning the cup, that would be great, as it would be real joy instead of a slightly hollow win against Villa or avoiding relegation, etc.
So, for me, it's winning the cup, but I would obviously take either.
28 Feb 2026 15:41:37
Do we get a chance at Europe if we win the FA Cup?
28 Feb 2026 15:56:26
Automatic Europa League entry for FA Cup winners, Bos.
28 Feb 2026 21:19:49
Forget Europe, concentration should be about promotion back to Premier League.
01 Mar 2026 11:28:46
I agree, Wolves1963, I doubt 8 guaranteed European fixtures on top of 46 league and at least 2 domestic cup matches is plausible for a Championship squad. Worst case scenario is 56 to 78 matches.
01 Mar 2026 15:22:19
So how inconsistent is VAR? Mane denied a goal scoring opportunity against Palace, penalty but no red card. Cunha denied a goal scoring opportunity against Palace, penalty and red card. Top teams getting the decisions again, unbelievable.
01 Mar 2026 20:17:27
We know the rules, Wolvo. Top 6 teams get the rub of the green from the officials, because they protest loudest, and have deepest pockets and fattest lawyers. If you're Man City, with 115 financial offences, you get sentenced on the 10th of never.
If you're Leicester City, they hammer you with 6 points when you're hovering in the relegation zone in the Championship. A tale of two cities, eh?
02 Mar 2026 11:00:46
It'll be interesting if one of the so-called Big 6 is in the Championship next season, which is fairly likely. Not too much rub of the green for them - yet!
03 Mar 2026 07:52:00
Has the romance really gone from the FA Cup? Sod how many games we might have to play in Europe, etc. Would you really forgo winning the oldest, most prestigious trophy in domestic football because we might have to play some more, lucrative games in a Championship season, Ardunby?
At my age, one more chance to see us win something would be incredible.
But surely the youngsters would prefer a cup and extra games; the Prem isn't the be-all and end-all in gauging success.
03 Mar 2026 11:52:51
Abbey, we would all love to see a major trophy collected for the first time in 46 years. It's not the Europa League games that are the issue. We can play squad players and go out; it's the rearranged Championship games. What we can't risk is a double relegation simply due to fixture congestion.
03 Mar 2026 17:15:25
I agree, Abbey. Let's go for it!
FA Cup, here we come. Can they still get black and old gold ribbon for the Cup?
Arddunby, who's to say we'll stay in the Championship? 🤷🏼♂️ Up or down, Wolves, aye we. 🐺
