Rodrigo Gomes is wanted by Newcastle/Palace and Brighton.
J Gomes to Napoli is apparently 90% done, Mendes facilitating both moves. Andre to Juve looks like it will depend on if they can move a couple of players on, but there is interest from elsewhere as well.
1.) 11 Mar 2026 19:44:25
Hope not. He should start next season. Has pace, can finish, and is a great player.
2.) 13 Mar 2026 16:50:39
I like R. Gomes and think he is one we should definitely try and keep. Still not sure what his best position is, though. Joao, I guess, will go, unfortunately.
26 Feb 2026 18:57:23
Looks like j Gomes to Napoli and Andre to juve are more than likely going to happen.
1.) 27 Feb 2026 06:03:45
The club will get about £65m for them. I wonder who'll they buy to replace them? My guess is no one, as we'll have Doyle, Munetsi and Traore back.
2.) 27 Feb 2026 09:40:16
Re Gomes and Andre. I suspect you are correct, or at least in the ballpark. At their best, they are as good as any pair in the Prem; hence teams of this quality want them, and thus they should be selling for considerably more than this sum. Sadly, however, playing on a broken side that quality has been hard to see, and consequently the pair will go for not much more than half of what one of the Chelsea two went for. Damaged stock, badly sold by a forced and desperate seller with a reputation as a soft touch/incompetent club, means that perhaps even 50% or more has been left on the table - once again! As for replacements, who knows, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the 3 you mention are also sold.
Munetsi's wages are hard to establish, as there are widely varying numbers mentioned on various sites, but even at the lower end they are probably still too high for the club unless there are sharp relegation clauses. PS. I have been loving the optimism re Mane's transfer, with people suggesting £50m+ and even a loan back. I fear he will go for a substantially lower figure, with perhaps some reasonably generous add-ons. I would also imagine there is little to no chance of a loan back. PPS. Enjoy Andre and Gomes these last few weeks in the Prem. Players of that quality won't be playing for Wolves again in the foreseeable future. Tks, Jeff!
3.) 27 Feb 2026 10:25:52
Future, I seem to recall one of the Eds mentioned a few weeks ago that nearly all footballers' contracts include a relegation/wage reduction clause.
{Ed001's Note - it is very common.}
4.) 27 Feb 2026 10:39:43
Indeed, but how sharp. If Munetsi is on £30k a week, a 50% reduction would make it fine. But if he is on £70k a week, even at 50% he is a very expensive player. At that price, and, of course, there will be players (not many and only at the bigger, richer clubs) on that and more in the Champ, he would need to be a star player, clearly better than most at the club, if not the entire league.
It is hard to imagine, even today, a Wolves side where Munetsi is a top player.
5.) 02 Mar 2026 10:08:05
This squad will, like every season for the last six, be unrecognisable at the start of next season. Players already here don't want to be, players out on loan rarely want to come back, and Fosun's policy of buying to sell is in tatters.
The possibility of mounting a challenge for promotion just doesn't exist, and Fosun will be lucky if there are three worse teams; there won't be three worse owners.
18 Feb 2026 11:01:09
Being reported that United have opened talks with manes agents. I do think he will go but don’t think it will be United he goes to. I’ve a sneaky feeling he will end up at Arsenal
1.) 18 Feb 2026 12:36:27
Mane has got Man Utd written all over him. He’s a Rochdale lad, and I imagine that Utd is his dream. As I said in another post, his move will make Wolves a lot of money because clubs will not want rivals to have him.
On a different note, Wolves are apparently sniffing around Abdul Fatawu. He would be a phenomenal signing, but I think it’s clickbait bullshine. He’d cost at least £20 million and too many other bigger clubs will be sniffing around him.
2.) 18 Feb 2026 13:11:20
Quite possibly nameandnumber but I remember in an interview he said saka is one of his favourite players and would like to emulate him one day, plus with everything that’s going on with man ure at the min I just can’t see it, 20 million will be out of our league next season we will be going for frees/loans/ the 5-10 million bracket tops
3.) 19 Feb 2026 06:29:11
Mane will be the start of the selling, Fosun sold and gave away all of Nuno’s squad in the space of a couple of windows, if they had ambitions to be in the PL we wouldn’t be getting relegated, they’re not about to change what they do, anyone they get offers for will leave, why wouldn’t they? Are Fosun going to be paying the best salaries in the Championship? Doubtful, are they going to back their Manager? Again doubtful.
We’re won’t be getting promoted ‘cus we’re Wolves, those days have gone, half the Championship, plus the two clubs relegated alongside us will be in much better shape, whatever Fosun promise to sell season tickets must be taken with a pinch of salt, look what they’ve done to the club over the last six seasons, the only thing they’re good at is letting everyone down.
4.) 21 Feb 2026 12:41:06
If Mane goes to Arsenal, as part of his development he will have to learn how to fall over clutching his head if an opponent comes within the same postcode as him. (When Arsenal are leading of course).
14 Feb 2026 10:35:36
Liverpool the main contenders to sign mane at the end of the season now, Everton, palace, villa and a couple of German clubs also interested.
1.) 14 Feb 2026 16:09:46
Dwwg everybody is intersested Wolves have put a price of 45 to 50 mill. can't half his wages doesn't get enough if he wants to leave 40mill will do. If no interest at that price keep him at Wolves contract till 2029 simple as.
2.) 14 Feb 2026 16:49:30
Newcastle want him as well now
Your right it looks like 50 million will get him
3.) 14 Feb 2026 17:21:24
If we were a normal well run club I think he would be better to stay with us, think he needs a rest now to be honest.
4.) 14 Feb 2026 17:46:12
Banksy51 if he has any sense he would stay with Wolves first team football. Go any other club under21s or out on loan not the PL but people whispering in his ear you can do better. If i'm Shi your not for sale 1 season championship if no promoted then sell.
5.) 14 Feb 2026 20:07:40
You can guarantee his agent is already in his ear, he won’t be with us next season. For his careers sake I hope he goes to a club in Germany they have a nack of nurturing young English players
6.) 14 Feb 2026 20:49:24
I agree DMac ?
7.) 16 Feb 2026 08:40:17
Send him on loan to one of the newly promoted clubs next season
he can get prem mins we take him back when we win the championship
8.) 16 Feb 2026 12:54:26
Mane needs to continue his progress next season in the PL. I would favour loaning him to Coventry if they are promoted. It's not a million miles from his home and Frank Lampard would be the right coach.
Mane would just be lost if he went to the likes of Liverpool or Man U.
A successful season at Coventry, or similar, might skyrocket his value for us!
9.) 16 Feb 2026 23:49:11
I think we should do everything in our power to keep Mane till at least January
29 Jan 2026 10:10:41
Strand Larsen to palace a done deal 45 million plus 5 million in add ons
Another few quid in the fosun coffers for them
1.) 29 Jan 2026 11:06:55
Mixed about this one. A great deal on one hand for a player who just isn't doing it for us and even when he was scoring this time last year I didn't like his lazy demeanor. But its only a great deal if any of that money is reinvested now or during the summer which I fear it will not be.
Earlier in the window when we were linked to Callum Wilson on a free or Surridge from MLS and Bowie from Hibs I thought we could build a pretty formidable Championship forward line but now. early window optimism has gone.
In the words of the Who. Nathan Shi. meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
2.) 29 Jan 2026 15:41:48
And still no incomings. And all players linked are using the 'prefer to stay at their current club' line. Just goes to show the state of the club.
The likes of Fulham and Bournemouth are capable of attracting decent players but we, even with our history just don't appeal to even mediocre players.
3.) 29 Jan 2026 17:34:29
Nothing to do with history Good, just maybe they understand league tables.
4.) 30 Jan 2026 11:17:27
Flip side to that Old Wulf its world cup year if you are a semi decent player and feel your chances aren't looking good then a loan to Wolves must appeal?
I posted regularly about this early in the window it must have been easy to target a forward and rwb that is on the fringe of their national squad to have a go at Wolves.
Angel Gomes and McAtee both seem like good players to be aiming for on loan at the moment.
The forward Otele from Basel should have just been signed we have wasted 30 days.
We lost Cunha and Sarabia in the summer.
Imagine if we had won against Everton and Newcastle we would have been in the thick of the action the last 4 months.
I feel most hope is lost now we needed a forward and RWB and we haven't got anywhere near signing those two positions.
We lack width and we lack pace and I blame Vitor more than the club. As the players signed were to play narrow football in Vitors style.

Anyone else getting a sense of impending Deja vu with Rob's comments recently? The “I want to keep Mane” (he will be sold without doubt)
And the ones today about how the club needs to conduct its transfer business early so he can get players bedded in, unfortunately, Rob, your talking about Fosun and if we get our transfer business sorted early do all the new player get a decent pre season I will rock up at the Mol the first game of the championship next season in a full blown Tesco kit, that’s how certain I am it will be the same old.
?
1.) 09 Mar 2026 16:45:42
Rob's a pawn in Fosun's game. He came for all the right reasons and really should've known the club have the wrong owners. There's no future for managers or players, as the club continues its decline. Our best hope is they call it a day before we drop as far as League 2 (again).
2.) 11 Mar 2026 15:51:54
De Wolf. I would pay money to see that. Unfortunately, I think you are bang on.
03 Mar 2026 20:13:06
I'm not one for bashing players ( henri camara and cuhna being the exception to my rule) but I have to say my heart sinks anytime I see Hwangs name in the line up/ subs bench
1.) 04 Mar 2026 09:37:15
Me too. We should cash in on him in the summer.
23 Feb 2026 13:19:15
So it looks like we will have the most expensive season ticket in the Championship next season, Shi has said he still wants to act like a Premier League club, it's a pity fosun haven't acted like Premier League owners the last 4 seasons.
All this "we will come straight back up" is delusional, championship is one of the hardest leagues in Europe ( not best, hardest) and there will be a massive and I mean massive turnover of players, which means bedding in a whole new squad give or take 4/5 players. I am genuinely worried about the future of the club under the current ownership.
1.) 23 Feb 2026 15:26:11
Much will depend on Fosun & their stance, or, hopefully, change of stance. Keep on going as they have done & we will get out of the Championship in our first season, but not the way they want. They need a complete reset, as this 's***' Gov't of ours keeps saying. If not, there are already two teams who'll come down with us, who I'd suggest are stronger than us & have more desire, especially if it's Forest. Their owner is the complete opposite of Fosun.
Also, how can we attract the likes of Neves, Neto, Patricio, Jimenez, etc., if there's no project, no ambition. Currently, Fosun are the owners who can't afford, or won't pay, the high maintenance required to be a truly competitive PL club. Shame, really, as we were so close, but imo they should sell up now. Leave us as they found us in the Championship, with, hopefully, more ambitious owners who truly understand what it takes to operate a professional football club.
2.) 23 Feb 2026 15:43:16
They'll justify the prices by saying Season Ticket prices remain well priced, as it guarantees 4 extra matches compared to this season. The match day tickets are staying at the same price too. Again, the club will say 'we've listened to the fans and decided to freeze the prices as a thank you.' I paid £222 for tickets for me and my son for Arsenal, Villa and Liverpool.
Bristol City, Swansea and Preston don't quite have the same feel. Fosun are well and truly taking us fans for mugs.
3.) 23 Feb 2026 17:27:29
Good post, De Wolf.
4.) 23 Feb 2026 20:43:56
What did Leicester get points taken away for?
5.) 23 Feb 2026 23:03:50
Handsome, financial mismanagement would seem the obvious answer. Wolves have sold off almost an entire team of top half Prem league quality players over the last 5 years to mask its mismanagement, but sadly the club has now almost run out of players of that quality who can be sold for substantial sums. (Hence dropping from the edge of the Champions League to relegation this season.)Consequently, De Wolf is far from alone in being worried about the future of the club.If they think "gate money" - which, at present, does not pay the social security costs the club pays, i.e., is about 6% of costs and will in any case surely be lower next season as attendances drop in the Championship - is the answer to Wolves' crippling concerns, then Wolves' future is genuinely threatened.
6.) 24 Feb 2026 14:57:38
I would add to Handsome Lad's question about why Leicester got points taken away. My answer is that their main offence is that they are not Man City or Chelsea. If you cheat, do it big, so big that the spineless authorities are scared of punishing you. Leicester, in the Championship, no problem: put the boot in, and if they end up relegated, so what.
{Ed001's Note - they had already gotten away with the same offence twice before.}
17 Feb 2026 19:40:33
Quite refreshing in my opinion that interview with Sa. At least he’s actually come out and said we know we are getting relegated and the sim now is to beat derbys low points tally. People will probably jump on him for those comments but I personally think he deserves a round of applause
1.) 17 Feb 2026 22:06:06
I agree DeWolf, honesty is always appreciated especially after years of Shi (1)/Fosun's BS.
2.) 18 Feb 2026 03:13:16
Sa was the only one who had the decency to talk to some fans too awhile back.
3.) 18 Feb 2026 07:36:20
He's only sYing what we all know Dewolf, and that's got to be healthier than liying to ourselves.
We've still got the target of beating Derbys record low, and being able to try and beat the top clubs, starting tonight.
There's always a great satisfaction in taking scalps no matter where we are in the league and if we can't find incentive to do that we may as well give up altogether.
4.) 18 Feb 2026 12:39:52
I do like Jose Sa - JoeJay Jar, as I call him (not sure why). Yes, his distribution is mostly terrible, and he’s a bit nuts, but he’s got a lot of heart and plenty of bottle.
5.) 18 Feb 2026 13:12:51
Exactly name and number, he’s just said what we as fans all know, fair play to him for coming out and saying it rather than the usual bs you get from players
31 Jan 2026 11:36:08
So I see another one we were linked with Bowie the hibs lad has joined Verona
Can’t wait for the usual fosun guff at the end of the window
People buying into this new “fan engagement” malarkey. They haven’t changed.

I get your point, Bully, but see my comment about MGW. The season we sold him, Lage specifically said he wanted to build the team around him; he made him captain in pre-season and he played every single pre-season match. Then Forest came in and that was that. I don't think Mane will be here next season due to two things.
One, he will want to play at the highest level; if he gets games at whatever club he ends up at will remain to be seen, but I can guarantee his agent is already in his ear and in contact with clubs. Two, Fosun will sell him on the basis the funds are needed to "rebuild".
03 Mar 2026 20:11:18
Hmmmm, Liverpool, United, City, Arsenal. Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, both Madrid and Milan clubs want him, but he will stay and slog it out at Stoke in the middle of December. ? He will be off quicker than an Albion fan's dad to the pub on giro day.
And, in all honesty, who can blame him?
I remember Lage saying exactly the same thing about Gibbs White, made him captain in pre-season, wanted to build a team around him, not sell him, etc.
etc. Forest come calling with a big offer and he was gone. Same thing will happen again.
26 Feb 2026 17:24:24
I think someone will, though, Manowar The likes of PSG, both Madrid clubs and Bayern Munich are sniffing around him, and they won't think twice about that amount. I personally still feel he will end up at Arsenal.
18 Feb 2026 13:11:20
Quite possibly nameandnumber but I remember in an interview he said saka is one of his favourite players and would like to emulate him one day, plus with everything that’s going on with man ure at the min I just can’t see it, 20 million will be out of our league next season we will be going for frees/loans/ the 5-10 million bracket tops
17 Feb 2026 14:11:45
I think we can count out Lopez being in the champ with us, he’s given an interview stating he’s got no intention of playing in the championship next season, I would be amazed if munetsi comes back as well. We can only hope blues don’t go up otherwise that’s Doyle gone as well as they have a clause saying they sign him if they get promoted

15 Mar 2026 09:27:24
I get where you are coming from, Goat. I think the point I'm trying to make is people seem to be going on that Fosun are doing us this massive service by cutting the prices, but they aren't. They are just making the same as most other Championship clubs, not this "oh my god look what they are doing it's amazing". It is not; it's perfectly normal for when a club gets relegated.
The problem we have is we have effectively been gaslighted by them, and they have crapped on the fans for such a long time and treated us all with contempt. When they do something that any other club would do, people go crazy and make out they are brilliant.
I've said before, Fosun care about Fosun.
15 Mar 2026 09:22:03
I think you can listen to it through the Wolves app.
14 Mar 2026 22:09:00
Not sure about that, Goat. I'm fairly positive Boro is the most expensive st in the Championship, and that comes in at 620. Blues is about 320, and QPR, a London club, is even less than that. Make no mistake, unless Spurs come down with us, we will have the most expensive ticket in the Championship.
14 Mar 2026 19:50:27
Should say that's what I pay. ? I think our most expensive is about the 950 mark, so that will be around the 720 ballpark for Championship football.
Oooohhhhh Fosun are doing us all a fabulous service.
Wake up and smell the coffee, peeps, Fosun only give a monkeys about Fosun.
What was the other sound bite Shi Mark 2 said, something like football first or along those lines. Now, unless I'm much mistaken, we are a football club, so why should, or has it been, anything other than football first.
14 Mar 2026 19:35:01
Exactly, all these people creaming their pants because they have announced a reduction are cracking me up. A top end ST at the minute is around the 840 pound mark; now 25% off is making it 630 pound. Coventry's premium season ticket is currently 600, so no, it's not Fosun "taking a different direction", it's just aligning us with top end Championship sides.
Now, if by some miracle we stay up (we won't), I can bet a pound to a pinch of Albion the tickets won't come down 25%; we will still have one of the most expensive st in the Championship next season. This is Fosun doing what they do best, feeding us s*** and some people are calling it ice cream.
