I can't believe the lack of protest as our club disappears off the map. West Ham made the home ground very uncomfortable with their protests, and they were nowhere near as bad as us. I find this all very depressing and have been on Fosun's Facebook, and unsubscribed from all Wolves emails. I wish I lived a bit closer, even at 76 I could make noise.

Can't see Fosun allowing a decent spend on PL ready players to keep us up. Can't see any decent PL players coming to the circus. Can't see RE getting a tune out of what I have so far seen of the squad, certainly not the sort of form to get 12 victories. What sort of management allows this situation to occur given the evidence of what could happen with the recent decline in football quality and close shaves in the last few years.
Are Fosun incompetent or disinterested. It's one or the other. Perhaps Wolverhampton City Council could make a special award for the most incompetent company in Wolverhampton. Something Fosun could win!

I struggle to see where we will get sufficient points to put 3 teams below us, even with a top manager. Let's face it we are an unattractive prospect for any manager with a track record. They want someone cheap with no PL experience, as they have done in recent appointments.What will Fosun's reaction be to relegation and an outflow of players as the vultures swoop.the last thing they will want to do is consider any rebuild, they want out.
If they cannot find a buyer ASAP that is a real prospect.

Bang on the money BullysBoy. They really think we cannot see through the tosh they come out with. I despair at the way Fosun play with this club, lacking all respect for it, the fans, and it's place in the City.

I would not be surprised, and nor would I blame VP for walking. Fosun have let their reputation slide with their lack of support for managers and promises unfulfilled. With a stated lack of ambition it is difficult to convince players to come. I can't imagine any decent manager coming if VP goes.

Good post Madman, lots of interesting variables and possibilities within a plan. No doubt VP has similar thoughts along those lines to keep to his style. I think it would be daft to unload RAN, just because the is not the full deal. He makes many contributions to attacking moves and assists. We do not have the luxury of being in the market for perfect oven ready players, and cannot keep unloading good players in the vague hope of getting a better one. Building on what we have would be a welcome change.

I agree Bullys. I cannot think that a quality mamager would contemplate taking on this basket case. Maybe a has been who would look at some short term role, ie to season end, for quick dosh. Surely anyone with a CV would want written into a contract firm commitments from Fosun that they are unlikely to sign up to.

Don't hold your breath waiting for sanctions against the East Mancs. They seem to be able to do as they wish, whilst the authorities cannot wait to sanction the smaller clubs.

Excellent thread, thanks to all contributors, made good reading over breakfast. The top clubs have virtually controlled the game to the detriment of the rest with loyal fans seeing their interests sidelined. No replays, serving the big clubs with congested fixtures as they play in absurd leagues for European qualification and bigger games than a replay at Barnsley. Makes you wonder. Should we have let the top 6 join that Euro league? Would the smaller clubs have got back to a more traditional game with cup replays, Saturday 3 pm kos, and the ability to nurture young players protected from clubs sweeping up talent with huge numbers on loan in Europe.
In reality I believe money will call the tune as ever, if you have the rules changed regularly to prevent what The Mancs, Chelsea etc have already done then beating one of the top 6 will be all clubs like Wolves can realistically aspire to.

Welcome back Longmynd. Sadly I think that we cannot trust Fosun to do what is necessary. They have presided over the demise of our club for 3 years. They have sold our best players, and put us into a shameful position which has only one outcome. I see no change to their intention in this transfer window.
