Thanks Whackattack, we do seem to be your bogey side. Having said that, it's hard to get too excited given our position. Personally, I'd rather lose to you lot in exchange for being nowhere near the relegation zone.

Won't be easy for us to get top 5 with the corruption in PGMOL. The United game on Sunday was a disgrace. Injuries to our midfield haven't helped either. Hopefully you guys can do us a few favours and take points from the Sky 6.

Well done wolves? might of had a bit of luck with the disallowed goal it might of made it an interesting last half hour, still you had the better chances today probably should of scored more in the first half, over the 90 mins you were the better team, got your goal and defended stoutly and even a last min cherry on top. best of luck in the rest of the season I hope you stay up and we can keep having our derby's for many seasons to come.

I've being reading down through your comments and I see a lot of frustration, I can feel your pain in regards your owners, they seem to be cashing out as much as possible, learner done the same with us., I don't think you will get relegated and I sincerely hope you don't.

It's easy to criticise, but when it's due, it's right to.
We have had possibly the worst set of fixtures to start our campaign off, you could get.
Andi expect us to beat Bradford,
Then after the city game, we can look forward to a run of easier games, I know we need to win those

The issue is Greylegwolf, that if we lose the next 4 (Liverpool, Brentford, Man City and Brighton), our confidence will be shot. This will give us 1 game at home against a Palace side that we struggle to win against. We then go into the international break with our confidence lower than a snakes belly.
Yes on paper, from the Southampton game onwards we have winnable games but as I said, confidence plays a massive role.
I just don't think GON can turn this around. If he does, I'll happy eat that humble pie but I fully expect Salah and Haaland to have a field day when they come to Molineux.

Usually, the 1st target is the magical 40 points which works out as 1.05 points per game.
If results go as expected, then we will need 39 points from 29 games at 1.34 points per game.
We we would still have to play Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Spurs and Man U away which again we're expected to lose so in effect we need 1.67 points per game.

We really need that confidence boost wandering, but also something to aim for, points make prizes I know but at the moment we're aiming not to lose, where we we should be all out to win. Our season fizzled out after the loss to Coventry last year because there was nothing to aim for afterwards. Complacency dosnt lend itself to the effort we'd get from a cup run or euro placing. Have we got the minds to pull out of this to get the wins? You'll see it in the youngsters breaking through, they want to do their best, want that victory.
GON has to instil a desire, the pack instinct, can he do it?, will the players raise to it? We need to change a lot both physically but also mentally. Beating Liverpool or City would help that. We can but hope. COYW

We need to revert to a back 5 for the next 5 games and try and get a few points because we will concede more than we score against the sides we are playing.Maybe in the games against bottom half teams then try the 4 again but I'm not convinced we have the players and Gon should swallow some pride for the sake of the team

Hey fellas, I seen your thread further down about villa getting champions league, all the nice comments are appreciated it's being a heck of a 5 year rollercoaster but I'm hoping we still have to reach the highest point. I know it had to hurt a little to say nice things after a tough season (as it would me) but it's just proof that we are all human beings first and foremost (there's good and bad in every race) it's mostly decent people on these forums and sure if we all supported the same team it would be boring.
Best of luck next season and let's all enjoy spending the owners money (in our heads?) over the summer.

Just ignore him, pretty good idea which poster it is from our page but he’s obviously to chicken to keep his villa name.
I find it pretty hypocritical calling it a negative performance, it’s not so long since villa were struggling like that against the top 2 or 3 teams, city dominate pretty much every team in Europe.
Wolves were well worth a point today, defended very well and with pride, I thought silva was fouling Sa when the corner came in, wolves seem to have the worst luck with VAR.
If I was a wolves fan I’d be saying forget the result and build on the performance.
And let’s all hope city get the punishment they deserve, eventually…

It’s not on YouTube or in the highlights so unfortunately I can’t see it anywhere, looked back through the match thread on sky sports app there’s no mention of any serious foul play or a var check for the incident, it just says he catches him late, hope he’s ok ?
