Any ideas who they may go for in January?
Its a really tricky window as I'm sure the club will want to show they are trying to do something (opinions on Fosun aside).
We need wins I know.
But something to at least make it a fair contest. Would be exciting after the first 4 months of the season.
Sterling and Disasi would bring some experience to the squad.
Not sure on the wages I know they are high.
Badiashiale could be an option on 4 games in a WC season.
Connor Gallagher, Mainoo or Ruben back (yes you have to think big).
But although midfield is an issue in some games it's the balance of the squad that's wrong.
Pubill only playing 4 games for Athletico Madrid could be an option in a WC season.
Theres not loads of decent forwards for the prem arguably.
I know these are outrageous ideas but we can't just roll over.
Traore would bring some pace to the forwards to be fair.
Dendoncker or Boly as a cheaper option for experience at the back and helping the team next season if we are in the championship.
The forwards are the difficult choices. Unless we can get a player with pace on loan or sign championship strikers for next year like Ivanovic.
In Footballer Manager if I was Jeff I'd sign Aghehowa. Clever player and plenty of pace would make the end of the season interesting. This is a joke BTW I know it isn't happening. ODCL

No good throwing more money into a lost cause Madman, whereas I agree we mustn't just rollover we need to be honest and face facts too.
Dendonker maybe an inspired addition if he's willing to take relegation and stay with us, but I can't see Boly rejoining, ditto Coady whilst Jeff's in place unless of course RE can persuade them.
So we may lose some of our better players, it'll be interesting to see what fosun will be happy to take, but I can't see any big names coming in just yet.
This season has long gone in my books and it really is damage limitation now.

Best we can hope for is hungry good championships players who are willing to give us their all until the end of the season and not be too worried if or when we do go down.
Unfortunately, some targets (or their agents) will have absolutely no interest in us due to our recent history and ownership issues.
Even Lescott didn’t want to get involved behind the scenes as he realised it wasn’t going to be an easy ride and he would have had to do something! 😂

Just been reading that Mosquera is suspended for our next game and Agbadou off to ACON, leaves us short at the back. Krejci has to be back there meaning Lopez or Mane surely have to start. Back 3 of Toti, Krejci, Santi or Doc, so much for not making changes, whoever plays let us please see a good performance and a win. 🤞

Look back at why he was changed to Johnstone, not that I’m saying he’s fantastic.
Simple is I don’t trust Sa. He gets cocky and too sloppy with the ball. Can’t kick it for toffee and compared to Johnstone, in my eyes, just not as good.

Tolu, Lopez and Mane, as many of us have said for weeks now need to be playing more. I think Rob likes Whang as did VP, he played better last night but that not difficult on previous outings.
If Rob insists on persevering with Hwang I hope Lopez can also now start and surely Tolu starts instead of JSL.
I would include Doc as well, as he always has a goal threat as we need at least 2 to win a game.

Well, have we ever scored three goals at the Emirates before? Shame that our intentional goal was excellent and we still lost, but on another night might have got us a point or three. When your luck is out, it's out. I don't think we have played better this season. The pundits were all about how poor Arsenal were, but in truth we never let Arsenal get into their stride. The old crack about lucky Arsenal still applies.
Hwang showed us what he is capable of, speed. If that shot had gone in, wow. Lopez and Mane brought skill and innovation, areas we have lacked this season. I too would bench JSL, he looks a shadow of the player he was last season.
RE has definitely upped the ante on last night's showing. A win against Brentford would be a great Christmas present.

Excellent post Deep Throat, I like your positivity. To add insult to injury Saka was offside in lead up to goal so corner should never been awarded. Jay Bothroyd rightfully put Gallagher in his place on Refwatch this morning. Oh and by the way I saw Wolves score 4 against Arsenal at Highbury in October 1962. Trouble was Arsenal got 5. As you said “lucky Arsenal!”

So save for an absolute Miracle we are going to be relegated.
Many in the squad will or must go, obvious exceptions should be Andre, Krejci and possibly Gomes .
So a lot of rebuilding needed.
If and it’s a big if Fosun do invest in a new team they will almost certainly not reduce ticket prices.
This will inevitably lead to a reduction in attendance.
So less income for the club and less investment in the squad. And so the downwards spiral begins.
Hope I’m wrong but Fosun to date have not shown any signs I am .

Its easy to see.we go down.anybody who is any good few n far between will be sold.half of what's left aren't even good enuf for the championship so can see a double relegation on the cards.unless we sell buy wisely as in proven ex prem/championship players and play to tolus strengths up front.who could rip the championship up.cud bounce back.dont hold your breath tho🫣

I did some calculations and estimated 33 points will be enough to stay up this season very long shot but 10 wins and a draw might save us, mission impossible though but it only takes us to go on a run of results.
Last night the lads played so much better Saturday we should start Lopez, Tolu and Mane.

I see Leicester let in two own goals against Liverpool in 2022, losing 2-1 at Anfield. They were also relegated that season with 34 points. The previous season they'd finished 8th with 52 points.

Shame. Much more endeavour and effort. I feared the worst before kick off, but they certainly proved me wrong. Kept going for the full 97 minutes. A positive result feels more likely if they maintain that level of performance.
Here's hoping for Saturday, but the molineux is nervous territory at the moment, so added pressure. Please RE give tolu and Lopez a go from tge kick off 🤞🤞🤞
