Wolves have apparently draw up a shortlist ( about time) and the leading contenders are Rob Edward’s and EtH .
Wolves are expected to make and approach for Edward’s today.
1.) 06 Nov 2025 18:38:35
Middlesbrough refused wolves request to speak to Dave Edwards and say he is not going anywhere
2.) 06 Nov 2025 18:39:43
Sorry ment Rob Edwards
3.) 06 Nov 2025 18:53:29
Middlesboro refused permission to speak to him
4.) 06 Nov 2025 19:12:13
Approach has been rejected so where does that leave us?
04 Nov 2025 17:03:41
So GoN has distanced himself from the job ( in other words he was not offered it)
Couple of mentions for Robbie Keane and to be honest I think he fits the profile, young with some experience and plays attractive football.
We could do a lot worse. Keep in mind we are currently odds on to go down so this type of manager is what we need to build a future with.
Not sure about big Sam and would be surprised if Seth takes it .

Interesting post. I do think there's two ways of looking at this. The managers connected with Wolves aren't good enough GON, Edwards, Keane and even Big Sam (as a fan).
So its the managers with experience Rodgers, Ten Hag, Ange all with interesting track records but some that have been a disaster recently.
I think two combinations that could work:
1) Ole and Carrick
2) Ten Haag but with Van Der Sar as director of football like Ajax.
But I probably would go the Portuguese manager route with some assistance from Mendes.
Sérgio Conceição
Carlos Vicens has experience of the Prem at Man City
Bruno Lage with a back 5 was okay its only when he played a back 4 we looked poor.
Reasons for this are complex but I think we need a manager that can come in revert to a back 5 and pick up points quick.
The managers that have an allegiance to Wolves can't do that.
The managers that are names are prone to going attacking back 4 have to prove they know best.
Two wins and we are back in this. Keep the faith.
I do think there's money to spend in January so it will be interesting the direction the club choose.
ODCL
2.) 04 Nov 2025 20:49:22
Haag has rejected us.
3.) 04 Nov 2025 23:23:33
Solid thinking madman. WWFC is currently no place for an inexperienced candidate, and anyone with a reputation would surely be wary of taking the job. It's a difficult position to fill but I know that's stating the obvious.
4.) 05 Nov 2025 09:39:53
Cheers Arddunby from the options it would be Ole and Carrick if that's a possibility.
Or they go all out for Sergio Sérgio Conceição
10 Jul 2025 17:09:30
Rumour mill working overtime today regarding Arias and Pubill .
1.) 10 Jul 2025 20:09:30
Add Wallace Yan to the rumour list.
2.) 12 Jul 2025 08:41:40
please please NO, not big enough for PL
05 Dec 2024 12:30:52
I think like a lot of you that GoN has to go. So who to replace him with Moyes or Potter seem to be top of the list however many saying no decent manager will come because of Fosun .
I don't understand that logic. If as widely stated Fosun want to sell the keeping us in the EPl is a priority.
Get a decent manager and recruit a couple of CB in January. Decide on the formation and style and we have enough in the squad to stay up.
We need a change and we need it now.
1.) 05 Dec 2024 12:58:48
I think Shi needs to go too tbh mate.
2.) 05 Dec 2024 13:53:50
get Mourihno in. He said he would be better off managing a team struggling in the premier league
08 Oct 2024 13:27:08
Rumour has it that GoN is to be given Oct and Nov to turn things around.
1.) 09 Oct 2024 06:55:34
We can change the Captain, but the Ship will still be full of leaks.
2.) 10 Oct 2024 17:35:19
Jimmy Thelin.
Fosun are preparing for relegation.
No ambition. No idea.
Hopefully someone who cares will buy the club.
3.) 11 Oct 2024 12:20:01
That's potentially about another 6 games Nando. I would have thought if things haven't changed after the next 3 then it'll be game over for GON, which will be a shame, imo.
4.) 11 Oct 2024 12:55:11
you are so right
5.) 11 Oct 2024 14:06:02
I don't think we can go more than 10 games, if we get to 19 games with the current rate of points gained we're going to need near 2 points a game to be safe.
6.) 11 Oct 2024 16:47:19
Since the Coventry defeat last season, we have played 17 PL matches and gained 6 points from the 51 available. In those 17 matches we have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 13 matches.
7.) 11 Oct 2024 16:53:13
In effect, GON has 1 game to save his job. We will lose to Man City and Brighton. That makes the Palace game monumental. They did the double over us last season and they were comfortable doing it too.
I think we've down. I said a few weeks ago that we'll get the lowest points total in Premier League history and nothing coming out of the club since the last defeat has changed my opinion.
Sam Johnstone or Jose Sa in goal doesn't matter because if you continually allow the opposition 10 goal scoring opportunities a game, then they'll more often than not score at least 3 goals. That's what we did against Chelsea and Brentford.

Did a bit of research and found out that as of now Wolves have 16000 on the season tickets waiting list. That half the current capacity of the stadium.
Couple of points: 1 Isn’t obvious increasing the capacity of the stadium is required.
2 Assuming away fans of 7 to 8000 that still leaves 26000 home fans. Why then such a long waiting list? Have I missed something.
1.) 30 Apr 2026 13:18:21
We've had a long waiting list for about 7 years. Yet we have a couple of outdated stands and the 23-year embarrassment of the Graham Hughes "temporary" stand. If it's temporary for much longer, it will end up being grade 2 listed!
On top of that, revamped stands give us corporate and other match and non-matchday experience revenue options.
We should also be funding the women's team properly. It's a huge growth area, and Wolverhampton should have a top WSL team.
All huge failures and missed opportunities to increase the revenue the club generates and keep us competitive.
2.) 30 Apr 2026 13:42:39
We've had about seven years of mismanagement thanks to Shi, Shi's penny pinching, and Shi's inability to run a forward thinking football club, while paying himself handsomely. Wolves are now in a position where it could be argued that the club is in a worse position than when Fosun took over.
Ten years for one run in Europe.
I remember watching Brighton vs Wolves in January of 2016. I think Jordan Graham scored the only goal in a 1-0 win. I think I'm right. Anyway, ten years later, Wolves are now so far behind Brighton that comparing the two teams is like comparing Barcelona to CF Benidorm.
3.) 30 Apr 2026 15:34:19
According to Wolves official website, the current membership price is £36.
£36 x 16000 = £576,000.00, and times that by the ten years Fosun have been here.
Wonder if we will have 16000 on the season ticket waiting list to see our new team of free transfer players, and, as Rob says, 'some of the youngsters will be given their chance'.
4.) 30 Apr 2026 16:05:30
That's exactly it. The waiting list is now turning into a years-long stretch of lost revenue and missed opportunity.
5.) 30 Apr 2026 17:38:28
The Membership scheme is also a sham. The terms and conditions clearly state that Members would get 10% cash reward for every ticket or merchandise bought directly from the club. I will have gone to 17 home games this season and been rewarded 0 loyalty points.
Whenever I've contacted the club, they tell me a new rewards scheme is being launched imminently. Well, imminently must mean something different to the club, as the old rewards closed in June 2025, and the new one hasn't been launched.
24 Apr 2026 21:40:16
So looking forward who are going to be the leaders in the team? Success for came when we had leaders. Coady, Boly, Neves et al. I just don’t see any leaders at the moment. With the expected exodus the situation is going to become even more obvious. So is it going to? Ideas on a post card please. I’d look at Kyle Walker or Ward Prowes.
1.) 24 Apr 2026 22:50:52
In the current squad, we have Krejci, but he will be off soon, so we'll have no one.
If we get Lascalles in, he'd be the skipper for me.
2.) 25 Apr 2026 19:03:58
Yep, let's buy a defender from a team who have been relegated from the league we're dropping into. That bodes well. ?
19 Apr 2026 14:14:21
Had a think about possible new managers for next season.
Moutinho would be a good choice, he would have great knowledge of players in Portugal. He knows the club and he has a level of respect from the fans.
Scott Parker looks like he’s going down with Burnley; however, he has had three promotions.
Couple of strikers would also be needed so take a look at J Windass, he has a decent goal scoring record and that’s in a mid table team at Swansea so might be open to a move.
1.) 19 Apr 2026 14:40:25
Moutinho?! Are you going to contribute towards his £120,000 per week and his £5 million pay off? What about his assistant and coaches, who'll cost a combined £250,000 per week.
2.) 19 Apr 2026 16:18:12
Joao Moutinho is not on £120k per week.
His contract at SC Braga expires on 30th June 2026, so there is no £5m pay off.
Unless you're thinking of Jose Mourinho.
3.) 19 Apr 2026 17:00:28
Very good spot, Good. Apologies, as I was thinking of the nutter who managed Chelsea. Nevertheless, we ain't getting Joao Moutinho as manager. He would cost too much money. He would probably make a seriously good head coach, and the Wolves fans adore him, but he is currently way too good for Wolves. Wolves are now a Championship team with shedloads of debt and cheap owners.
4.) 19 Apr 2026 17:30:34
Nothing will change with a different manager. It's the owners that need to be changed.
18 Apr 2026 18:31:44
So the owners have some decisions to make.
Do we keep faith with Re or move on?
How many of this squad do we keep?
For me Re has shown he is unable to improve this squad and that’s a concern. His tactics have been found wanting and he be left looking lost on the touch line to often so for me he needs to be let go.
So who do we replace him with, well we found Nuno and I’m sure we could find another.
With regards to the squad it’s not good enough, Hwang, Bellegard, Tchatchau, Angel are all just poor. The two Brazilians are both quality and with that will come offers for them.
Not exactly filled with options are we.
Gonna need to have a clear out and bring in as many as ten new players.
1.) 18 Apr 2026 19:30:54
The owners have no ambition and will persevere with Rob. No one with half a brain cell would want to ruin their reputation by working for this bunch of inept doom mongers.
We all know the squad needs to be overhauled, but Fosun won't provide the support needed.
I've been saying for a while now that Krejci, Santi, Andre and Joao, etc., will all be sold, and Rob will be told he's to reintegrate the likes of Tommy Doyle, Traore and Sasa.
11 Apr 2026 15:08:02.
I, like many, had hoped that we would get a result last night if only to generate a bit of excitement for the end of season run in. Unfortunately we put in a very pitiful performance against a very poor side. First half was sterile and with little to get excited about. The second half was our whole season condensed into 45 minutes of mistakes.
In the Prem, if you make mistakes, you will get punished. Unfortunately we have continued to make these basic errors and it will cost us. With the exception of our two Brazilians in midfield, we have a side that is lacking. Question is do we need a new manager or do we need new players?
1.) 11 Apr 2026 15:49:43
Both, Nando. Re needs to go now.
Most of the players are either being sold or not even good enough for the Championship.
So make of that what u want.
I'm not a fan of:
Bellegarde
Tatchoua
Armstrong
Johnstone
Angel
Hwang.
2.) 11 Apr 2026 18:58:18
Last night was a lost opportunity. Had we won, we would have reduced the gap to Tottenham to ten, West Ham to nine, and been level with Burnley. Despite being the better side in the first half, we never looked like scoring, whereas they missed two gilt-edged chances. The reason is that none of our midfielders is capable of playing a killer ball. I lost count of the number of times our players turned back on themselves and either passed back to a central defender or lost the ball and set up a counter attack.
We have probably set up more goals for our opponents than they have set up themselves this season. Andre and Joao Gomes are both culpable in this regard. I am struggling to remember any assists they have had this season, but I can think of numerous assists they have had for the opposition. A forward thinking central midfield pairing is our top priority for the Summer window.

Good run yes but staying up is unrealistic.
If we get 20 points I’d be pleasantly surprised.
09 Nov 2025 22:34:27
Dmac123 if we mere supporters can pick a team why couldn’t VP
02 Nov 2025 12:37:11
Brendan Rogers seems to be the one most talked about in the press and Ole Gunnet Solskar is next.
I have a sneaking feeling that uncle George may play a part.
It will almost certainly be someone who is available now as the club will not want to pay competitive after paying VP off.
Stability is the key to our survival. A defence that is organised and the team on that.
I don’t know who it will be but it needs to happen now and it needs to be right. The stream of failures since Nuno departed is a story in itself.
21 Oct 2025 17:55:41
Got to say that a result against Burnley whist probable is not the turning point. The performance is everything.
We have not only lot all league games but the style of football is very boring and let’s face it very poor.
If VP can’t turn it around in the next couple of games then it tie to pull the plug.
Who next I hear you cry. Well personally I would go for Muscat or Marco Silva.
