According to the Italian media Wolves are asking for 35m for Andre!
1.) 13 Jul 2025 10:26:45
Beowulf is this just a figure they have pulled out of the air.
2.) 13 Jul 2025 20:46:34
With Sainz moving to Porto do you think we are linked with one of their forwards?
Samu Aghehowa looks very similar to Cunha with his pace and the fact he likes to press.
Sounds like Vitor type of player scored 27 in 45 games last season 6 in 9 in europe as well.
3.) 13 Jul 2025 22:30:11
I can't believe that VP would sanction the sale of Andre and he's not only the Manager now but also a member of the newly formed 'transfer committee' for want of a better description.
Neither can I see even Jeff overruling him at the first opportunity so I would suggest that he will want to keep both.

If we appoint Edwards as manager, will he be gone by the time of the January window, when he finds out that Andrea, J Gomes and Larsen are sold in the New Year Day Sales!
1.) 07 Nov 2025 16:38:43
Well he prob knows we are goung down and will be building a team in the Championship next season
2.) 07 Nov 2025 16:59:15
No chance, if they are signing Edwards I am fairly certain it is (partly) in preparation for the playing in the Championship next year because it's the only rationale that makes sense. Add to that after paying off VP and all his staff, not to mention comp for Edwards and all his staff we simply won't be able to afford another manger this season!
My bigger worry than player sales is actually Krecji, because I belive we have an obligation to buy after 20 matches for £20+m.
So at what point are the club going to pull that whole deal because they know we can't afford him in the Champ?! Cause that could be the tipping point as he is currently the ONLY defender we have that looks even capable of playing at a Prem level! What a bloody mess ?
3.) 07 Nov 2025 17:35:07
Gents, we have plenty of time
To save the season, let’s not get carried away focussing on Championship and who is leaving, time to focus on staying up, we got our wish and VP of as shown the door, time to put some energy in trying to be positive, sure it can’t be any worse than it is
4.) 07 Nov 2025 18:29:59
Sydney of course you are correct but it will take a significant turnaround over the next few weeks and then some very serious investment in Jan. Sadly I am not certain that either of those will happen but Fosun must surely recognise how essential it is for the future of the club and their investment. Have they got the courage and the money to double down and try or will they cut and run selling Andre and Gomes this Jan whilst they are still valued as Prem footballers.
BB continuing to pick Krejci and thus triggering the obligation or not will be a clear sign of Fosun's intent.
Maybe they might think that he is good enough for Wolves to do an Afobe - sign him and flip him?
If they sign him and Wolves go down though I am far from certain they will get back the transfer fee despite his strong performances so far this season.
5.) 07 Nov 2025 18:45:47
Absolutey Sydney. Some fans are waving the white flag! If Edwards is coming in, he must believe he has more chance of PL football next season with Wolves compared to Boro. We have 84 points to play for. We can do it. We have money to spend in January. I hope he signs Hayden Hackney for starters.
6.) 07 Nov 2025 21:06:56
Let's get fully behind him and the team now. He is as close as you can get to one of our own. Been going for 60 years and will be the first Manager for years I feel has a genuine love for the club. Come on everyone and get behind him!
7.) 08 Nov 2025 01:59:31
Fair point TFG, as usual bud.
But I suspect we wouldn't take our chances and as (we've both) said it would be (sadly) telling if he just stops being picked come Dec!
And I understand Sydney buddy, and of course you are correct in your approach because right now (looking at the table) with a new manager arriving, hope is all we have left! So like Ron says I will ALWAYS (like everyone else on here) support the new manager and hope he has a miracle hidden up his sleeve!
However, none of that changes the reality of the situation! Sadly the reality is that if/when we lose to Chelsea tomoz, we will have 27 games left and we will likely need to win a minimum of 12 of those to survive! Whatever I might think of Edwards, to be honest I simply don't think this team has enough quality in it to win that many games in this current Prem league!
I will always back the manager and the squad however I fear that this season will likely be that bridge too far that Jeff/Fosun have seemingly been determined to have arrived at for about the last four seasons!
Like always though (this season more than ever) I am also DESPERATELY happy for Edwards (and maybe Lescott) to prove me very wrong! COYW?
8.) 08 Nov 2025 02:28:24
This is probably one of the reasons he has an interest in the job he knows the club and he loved it for a long time. Apparently he lives in wolverhampton anyway.
9.) 08 Nov 2025 08:31:45
Not disagreeing with anything said above, but I just have a gut feeling. Maybe that hope that's been mentioned, that now VPs gone the players will be able to 'express' themselves more fluently and their attributes may be used without some constraints. That being the case we may see a more dynamic and unpredictable forward thinking team approach.
Tonight's game may surprise a few, a little more new manager bounce in our play.
Chelsea may be slightly weary after their midweek game and we can take something from the game.
So we're all behind the lads, let's approach matches with that hope in our hearts and believe in the players we have at present.
Forever old gold COYW.

I'm going to break with moaning for a change. My initial thoughts were if we do get Edwards we were preparing for the championship, then I saw the post about the comment from Klopp and actually what he did with those Luton players. If it does end up being Edwards I'll be right behind him.
The other thing, is we have still got a fantastic squad of players. Cunha is NOT lighting fires at Man U, Munetsi is out performing him this season; Ait Nouri is NOT tearing it up for City Wolfe is out performing him this season, and that's with us at the foot of the table.
We still have a dynamo pairing in the middle and Tolu looks class if not a bit scrappy at the moment still.
I think there's plenty about our squad we can celebrate. Tweaks in defence and we'll be ok!

Any new news folks
10 Jul 2025 13:25:04
Just saw a table for the minutes that each premier league gave to club trained players last season.
Liverpool were top with 17.5%. Wolves and Brentford were joint bottom with 0%
Makes you wonder what is the point of our Youth Academy.
1.) 10 Jul 2025 14:27:49
Jhon Arias being linked today, I don’t know anything about him, reports are good, £40m ish is he good value? Mate of Andre so maybe Agent Andre on the case ??
2.) 10 Jul 2025 14:39:37
I've lost count of the players we've been 'plotting' 'planning' watching etc. and everyone so far have/are moving or staying put.
Arias is reported to be quality Banksy, but I know nothing about him, does anyone else without looking?
I don't take any of it as being factual and like longmynd I'm waiting until things happen, which I fear will be sometime yet.
3.) 10 Jul 2025 15:41:12
Beowulf,
Maybe this season will be different with the like of Okuduwu, Pond and Mane getting game time.
4.) 10 Jul 2025 17:15:27
We are battling other clubs for targets, none done yet.
What dies that tell you, smh
5.) 10 Jul 2025 17:52:54
I don't know anything about this guy, but generally when it's in the E&S it's fairly reliable unlike the clueless sports insider type rubbish.
03 Jul 2025 12:56:40
Rest in Peace Diogo and Andre.
Such a sad loss to their family and football.
02 Jul 2025 15:51:56
Being a pensioner and having a lot of time on my hands, I have been looking at the transfer figures for the last two financial years at Wolves.
Taking the financial year at wolves to be from the 1st June to the 31st May, in the financial year 2024 to 2025, Wolves had a surpus of +£40.2m.
In the current financial year starting on the 1st June 2025 we have received £95.5m for the sale of Cunha and Ait Nouri and have payed out £42m for Lopaz and Larsen.
This leaves us with us with a current surplus in this financial year of +£51.5m.
My question is will the £40.5m surplus from the last financial year be used to offset any operational losses for that year?
If it is, then how much of this year £51.5m will be available for new players?
My feeling is that with all the player now back from loan, Fosun will want to get a fair number of these off the books before bringing new players in!
Discuss.
1.) 02 Jul 2025 16:27:43
The truth is it's almost impossible to know without being on the inside. Sometimes it depends on how the deals are done. There's whether the fees are paid in instalments, and how many instalments. There's the PSR Thing with length of contract dividing up the transfer fee into multiple years. Players both coming and going on load usually have fees attached. Then there's wages and agents fees.
It all gets way too complex for my brain.
2.) 02 Jul 2025 16:50:19
Wages a come into play, if we can get rid of a few high earners, that gives us a little more wriggle room (think Guedes, Silva and Semedo).
Talking of Semedo, his contract finished on Monday. Any ideas why it's very quiet?
Could it be that he hasn't said no to us, but is still waiting to see if he can get a better package elsewhere?
3.) 02 Jul 2025 18:35:02
Beowulf be careful that you don't conflate cashflow with profit and loss.
The sales - subject to trade terms - may well generate cash.
But in any case they will offset net debt - which obviously includes monies owed to clubs for transfers and vice versa. This is currently, May 2024, a frightening circa £300m.
However the principal reason the club makes these transfers is profit and loss - which sadly has very little to do with the gross transfer fee.
It is calculated as the surplus over the amortised value of the contract of the player sold.
Hence a home grown player sold for £35m makes £35m. But a player bought for £35m on a 5 year contract sold after 2 years for £50m only makes you £29m.
Wolves desperately need these profits as the pre player sales profits are totally out of control and way beyond the levels allowed under PSR.
It is a major worry that according to a so called "expert" Stefan Borson (Sp) we were so far in the mire that we had to move our accounting date so as to get Cunha added to the sales of Neto and Kilman just to survive.
Hard to believe that things are that bad but if you have read the accounts you will know we are in deep trouble and relegation could well be terminal for the club.
In any case unless things change dramatically we are almost certainly going to remain a major and forced seller in the market until relegation inevitably puts us out of our misery!
There that has cheered you all up
Tks Jeff!

"The Voice of Reason" has gone awfully quiet.
1.) 06 Oct 2024 12:16:18
We will be fine Beowulf.
West Ham will falter as posters told us Kilman can’t play without Dawson.
If we can score three past Brentford then so can everyone else.
Southampton will finish below us.
Leicester aren’t very good and we are just five points below them which is only two wins.
Leicester beat Bournemouth so Bournemouth can’t be very good.
Ipswich will struggle.
We beat Manchester City last season and will beat them again after the international break with Dawson keeping Haaland in his pocket again.
Manchester City will be sanctioned and relegated ahead of us.
GON will walk out as he is not being supported by the club and Jeff Shi will take on the role of first team manager guiding us into Europe as Fabio Silva returns to the club as a converted centre half steadying the defence and stemming the flow of goals against.
2.) 06 Oct 2024 12:34:25
? that's not reason, that's clear and utter madness, it's finally happened. The lunatics have taken over the asylum!
07 Jun 2025 12:13:47
What are the odds of VP being Spurs Manager next season?
07 Nov 2025 13:03:26
If he's stupid enough to work for Jeff Shi, which one of the following do you think he was enticed with?
A:- A Clipboard.
B:- An iPAD.
C:- A Notebook.

Thanks Ed001 for clearing that one up.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
