Rumoured that Chelski and Citeh are already sniffing round MM, what a surprise! Disgusting, makes me sick to my stomach.! FWAW.

City just keep spending, no problem for them. Hope Mane stays, play a lot more for us than any of the top clubs.
Would imagine that there will be some changes to our team tomorrow.

2.) 09 Jan 2026 16:40:27
If Larsen is worth 50 million, what is Mane worth?

3.) 09 Jan 2026 17:18:48
Larsen isn’t worth 50 million lost, Newcastle were desperate in the summer so were willing to pay silly money, if someone offers 40 million for him I would snatch their hands off

4.) 09 Jan 2026 19:52:34
Yes the liars and cheats are circulating overhead. They can all spend what they want can't they?
The sooner all these clubs go and form their precious super league the better-and don't come back ever

5.) 09 Jan 2026 21:57:54
I agree qs, that’s what they all want anyway, it will happen one day and then they can all argue amongst themselves

04 Nov 2025 00:06:56
With GoN gone, think that would possibly make Michael Carrick favourite, would be ok with that! Anyone agree, or not?

prestonwolf

1.) 04 Nov 2025 08:41:55
Carrick has already ruled himself out along with Rui Borges and Rob Edwards, so not agree.

2.) 04 Nov 2025 09:12:07
How's about Solskjaer and Carrick who worked well together at Man Utd?
Premiership experience with good track record at Old Trafford.
Young approach and good affinity with players especially Ole with Strand Larsen who he may well be able to rejuvenate.
PLEASE NO BIG SAM now aged 71 and hasn’t been near a football pitch for 3 years.

3.) 04 Nov 2025 14:58:09
Its really not hard get a manager that can play 5 at the back.
Team should be
SA
Jackson Doc Krejci Toti Bueno
Andre Gomes Bellagarde
Tolu Larsen

Tammy Abraham 20m is a rumour! Well, we can only dream! FWAW

1.) 17 Jun 2024 11:20:37
Wasn’t he on the verge of joining Wolves under Nuno before changing his mind when the deal was going through? No thanks!

2.) 17 Jun 2024 11:47:14
His record at Roma isn't outstanding. He's let us down before, I think I would rather persevere with Fabio.

3.) 17 Jun 2024 13:45:05
He didn’t sign under Nuno, as he wouldn’t have been able to play. He’d already played for two clubs that season- Chelsea and Villa. So if he had signed he would have been ineligible to play. He’s only just getting over a bad ACL injury too

4.) 19 Jun 2024 16:05:22
Broja alert!
Need to stay well clear. Problems with negative attitude at Southampton, Chelsea and Fulham. Now nowhere to be seen in Albania’s fighting performance against Croatia. Dressing room harmony is really important and one ‘bad egg’ can totally disrupt that.

5.) 19 Jun 2024 22:13:00
He has a bad scoring record in the prem, wouldn't help our offence.

05 Jan 2022 21:35:29
MGW is not back, also Atletico rumoured to be keen on Semedo to replace Trippier! Fabio to start on Sunday? FWAW.

prestonwolf

1.) 05 Jan 2022 23:32:58
MGW confusion has been caused because he is back at Compton for treatment for his current injury not because of any recall. Seemingly people added 2+2 and came up with any result that suited whatever story they wished!

23 Oct 2021 09:33:54
Worrying news regarding Neto, seems unlikely he'll play this season! FWAW and Mind the gap.

Argentina should be banned from international football once and for all, bullies and cowards!

1.) 20 Jul 2026 00:27:24
Goes back to 1966 with the argies. The most disrespectful & arrogant team ever. It is a country that despises every other country in the world & football has no place for that.

2.) 20 Jul 2026 07:04:28
You beat me to it, Preston. Why the football world seems to revere them is a mystery to me. Massive congratulations to Spain, even though they hadn't got their goal-scoring boots on.
As Lexluna suggests, from 1966, when their captain Ratin (spelling?) got a red against England, the first ever in a World Cup finals, through the handball goal that was allowed to stand, to this year's competition.

Every challenge is accompanied with a blatant push in the back, which the referees allowed.
The pleasing thing is that FIFA's master plan failed, and the good guys won. Also, massive congratulations to England. Denied their place in the final by some ridiculous tactics and substitutions, they did a job on France, which was satisfying.

3.) 20 Jul 2026 07:33:03
Actually, they're also trying to drag Rugby down to their level as well with their disgusting behaviour after their defeat by England. Let's hope they get an appropriate punishment.

19 Jul 2026 19:30:19
The disrespect of Jose Sa is poor, just one in a long list of excellent Wolves goalies, he deserves better, some people baffle me! Vipotnik 15m? Bargain!!! FWAW.

prestonwolf

1.) 19 Jul 2026 20:13:05
He doesn't want to be at Wolves. He can't play out from the back. He's too erratic. But, on his day, a superb shot stopper.

2.) 19 Jul 2026 21:13:57
Hardly any keepers can play out from the back (including Donnaruma); besides, Wolves don't play good enough football for that to be a problem. Him wanting to leave is a different matter, and entirely fair point. Overall, though, I agree with Preston. I'm not sure what fans expect, considering most teams in the Prem league don't have a better keeper than Sa.

If he stayed, he'd be comfortably one of the best keepers in the league! He wants to go, because he knows he's better than the level we are now at, and on that front he ain't wrong.

3.) 19 Jul 2026 21:50:35
Fully agree, Bully. A top-rate shot stopper who has saved us on more occasions than I can remember. Top class. Just watching a keeper in the WC final who many thought wasn't good enough for Wolves!

4.) 20 Jul 2026 02:59:51
Sadly, he doesn't want to be here, but he was the only one who had the guts to talk to fans a few months back, though.

5.) 20 Jul 2026 12:12:15
If Sa had been that good we'd still be in the Prem.

6.) 20 Jul 2026 13:03:23
You surely can't put relegated down to Sa? In my opinion it was the flawed appointment of Edwards.

7.) 20 Jul 2026 15:43:11
Haha, what a bizarre take on things, BoS. So, in which case Alisson Becker is useless as Brazil got knocked out of the World Cup early?! Mind you, our biggest problem this season was scoring goals, and Sa didn't score any, so you may have a point there! ??

17 Jul 2026 23:58:03
Johnny Phillips, who is a man you can trust, reckons if we don't go up next season... we will be in very serious financial bother! If we're not already. FWAW.

prestonwolf

1.) 18 Jul 2026 08:43:48
Apparently the finances at Wolves are in a desperate state. Promotion back to the PL has nothing to do with Wolves belonging there; it has everything to do with the £200 million black hole at the club.

This is why Wolves have signed two freebies and one cheap player.

Jimenez is merely a smokescreen.

The team that has struggled for years in the Premier League is about to struggle in the Championship. Nowhere near enough goals in that team, and it’s been proven that those players can’t defend.

2.) 18 Jul 2026 09:39:39
TFIOG understands the finances much better than I do, but I believe the point Johnny Phillips made was: if we don’t get rid of some of our higher earners who didn’t have a wage reduction clause in contract, then, if we haven’t gone back up, we’d be in serious financial difficulty, as the parachute payment is scaled back for each year you are out of the Premier League.

3.) 18 Jul 2026 09:59:34
There's no We in Fosun.
We're not in financial trouble. They are.

4.) 18 Jul 2026 10:32:58
What a load of BS.......
Journalistic trash

5.) 18 Jul 2026 10:40:10
A player is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. I didn't see any bidding war breaking out for Gomes. Man U were credited with an interest months ago, but nothing happened. Villa came along and found themselves the only bidder.

We can't say we should have got more if no other club wanted to bid. It wasn't even a quick sale, so we can't say other clubs were caught napping. That is the reality.

6.) 18 Jul 2026 11:41:36
Don't 99% of players have a relegation wage reduction clause built into their contract?

7.) 18 Jul 2026 13:55:45
I'm not sure how this is news. The club has been losing money for years. With lower revenues and the EFL financial rules, it's even more of an issue. The idea that even if Fosun have the money, they can just pump it in without sanctions is nonsense.

It's also why players need to leave before more could arrive.

The wage bill needs to be in line with what can be paid for. We can all rightly point the fingers as to why the club were relegated and why the revenues aren't being maximised.

But, as others have pointed out, the squad is in too bad a shape to be wholesale reset in a single transfer window.

17 Jul 2026 08:46:00
So, the great Raul Jimenez is 'same old rubbish' now? FWAW

prestonwolf

1.) 17 Jul 2026 10:29:41
Love Raul, and Trippier will hopefully be a great signing. Preston, after a positive start to the summer, I was hoping for more.
Time will tell, I guess. ?

2.) 17 Jul 2026 10:32:16
I think Raul and Trippier are a very smart bit of business, but signing two 35-year-old players on free transfers doesn't justify selling the family silver for pence on the pound!

3.) 17 Jul 2026 11:29:47
I don't think Banksy meant what the club under Nathan Shi is trying to do, Preston, and yes, those signings are certainly crowd pleasers and, hopefully, smart from a football perspective, but against a background of what? Years of decline, with the inevitable consequence, and no evidence, in truth, of any significant change in Fosun's behaviour.
Personally, I like Nathan Shi, and I believe he will genuinely try his best for Wolves, but if he doesn't get the backing, irrespective of who we sign or keep at the club, will he be carrying the can in a year or two?
People were keen to blame Jeff Shi for everything, but I personally believe there were other actors in Shanghai equally culpable.

Let's not forget, once the Esports was up and running, he got promoted, not sacked, not even pushed out sideways somewhere.
I believe the phrase 'same old rubbish' is therefore appropriate when considering the part that Fosun will, but probably won't, play in all of this.

4.) 17 Jul 2026 12:18:18
What Fosun are doing is simply asset stripping. Anything with a decent value, they move on and pocket the profit. Every time they do it, they weaken the team. Then sign mostly inadequate replacements. Wolves fans should be used to it now, they are business people, and football is just a hobby for them.

5.) 17 Jul 2026 15:50:29
I think Wolves fans, myself included, have to accept that life under Fosun is not going to improve. They'll possibly throw the fans a bone and give us a good season in the Championship, but the Premier League is a step too far for Fosun and Wolves.

6.) 17 Jul 2026 19:04:04
So who would you let go or be glad to see the back of?
??????????
Johnstone
Arokadare
Hwang
Armstrong
Hoever
Angel Homes
Tatchouka
Doyle, maybe I've listed someone who's gone already, soz.
Any one else, good riddance too.

7.) 17 Jul 2026 19:55:56
All except Doyle and Armstrong. Who would believe Hwang is one of the top paid?

8.) 18 Jul 2026 09:52:20
We can't sell Angel Gomes, greyleg, he's not ours to get rid of as he went back after his loan finished - we didn't invoke the option to buy.

01 Jul 2026 04:06:03
What a goal! Raul ?

prestonwolf

1.) 01 Jul 2026 10:13:26
If there are any Wolves fans out there who had doubts about the signing of Raul Jimenez, I think this World Cup has answered all your questions.
Si senior, OMG, the legend is back and firing on all cylinders.
Can't wait to see him back at Molineux.
FWAW.

2.) 01 Jul 2026 10:41:42
I don't think Raul ever wanted to leave Wolves, so recent events may well have put him in a good place, and it's showing during the World Cup. Let's hope he can keep it going for next season.

3.) 01 Jul 2026 11:48:04
He must love Wolves to his core because he's way too good for the Championship. He oozes class. Easy to see why Jurgen Klopp once called him the best no9 in the world.

4.) 01 Jul 2026 13:26:38
I was one of those doubters, Nick. Not that I didn't rate him, I was just more unsure if he was too old. Happy to be very wrong. If he carries this form into next season, he will own the Champ! Also, with that we have to give credit to Nathan Shi here, because going to the effort of flying out and getting the contract done before the tournament is already looking like a masterstroke! Let's be honest, with the tourney he's having, he'd have some seriously decent suitors by the end of this tournament.

Well, they can all jog on, 'cause Raul is a wolf and he's coming home! Si Senor!! ?? ?? ??

Totally agree, TT. Whether you are Cutrone, Fabio, Corbeanu or anyone, it's difficult to get more than 5 minutes game time, with that pesky Raul. He's never injured, runs all day and night, works el socks off all over the pitch and our most likely goalscorer! We are so lucky that we have several players with the same attitude. Trust in Nuno!
