Premiership experience with good track record at Old Trafford.
Young approach and good affinity with players especially Ole with Strand Larsen who he may well be able to rejuvenate.

He didn’t sign under Nuno, as he wouldn’t have been able to play. He’d already played for two clubs that season- Chelsea and Villa. So if he had signed he would have been ineligible to play. He’s only just getting over a bad ACL injury too

Rumours are that Edwards knew at least 2 weeks ago that he was going to be replaced and he was asked to remain silent until the new man had signed.
A bit like when we all thought Lopetegui suddenly walked out but it transpired that he had given the club plenty of notice and Gary O'Neil was courted weeks earlier.
Also, it appears that Trippier, although excited by Edwards, was fully aware that he was unlikely to be the manager when the season started.
I wonder what all pundits think now that the narrative has changed. I mean, they all backed Trippier to do something that he was never likely to do.

That and the Andre extension is a great start, Preston. Let's hope Fosun are back on the pitch, but there'll be no humble pie from me, as they deserve every word of criticism they've received over the years.
Moving Jeff Shi out was, however, another major step forward, and, from what we've heard so far, Nathan could be 'the man' if they back him to really move the club forward.

I think maybe Wolves fans can go a little easy - not fully easy - on Fosun and blame Jeff Shi. With proper diligence and intelligence, I don't think it's possible for Wolves to have found a worse CEO. Jeff at the helm would have seen Wolves in League One. He would have finished the club and gaslighted everyone into thinking that everything was hunky dory.
Fosun have to accept that they made a huge mistake in giving him too much power for too long. It seems they have done this. Nathan Shi is a breath of fresh air. Kieran Trippier is a superb signing, as is Andre staying. Obviously some really good players are coming in.
13/8 on Wolves getting promoted looks like free money.

Ice, I've been saying for ages I think that Jeff was reporting back to Fosun saying everything was hunky dory, and I feel like Nathan has come in and actually seen the true state of things. I'm hoping that he has been truthful to his bosses and told them that if they expect any sort of return on their 'investment' then they need to pull their finger out.
I don't know, it's probably just me, but Nathan seems to be a lot more interested/committed than Jeff was, I feel I've heard more positive and promising statements off him in the last few months than I ever heard off Jeff.
Is it all smoke and mirrors? Maybe so. But his comments, Andre committing, Trippier coming, whispers of Jiminez... I dunno, it kinda fills me with some hope and gives me a bigger buzz for next season than I've had in a few years. Here's hoping it's justified!!

Totally agree, TT. Whether you are Cutrone, Fabio, Corbeanu or anyone, it's difficult to get more than 5 minutes game time, with that pesky Raul. He's never injured, runs all day and night, works el socks off all over the pitch and our most likely goalscorer! We are so lucky that we have several players with the same attitude. Trust in Nuno!
