There's an old saying a poor workman always blames his tools before anyone jumps in about bad tools even they can be sharpend to make them better.

Well there's plenty of them running and playing for the club.

If we lose again tomorrow even the most ardent Rob Edwards fans must admit that it is time for change.
1.) 01 May 2026 10:34:29
To keep changing head coach is like rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
2.) 01 May 2026 12:16:15
Given Rob Edwards' record, is he still here because Fosun have recognised their and Jeff Shi's culpability for this season's predicted disaster?
If I was a conspiracy theorist, I would almost believe that they hired him in preparation for the Championship. As someone pointed out, when he arrived there were still plenty of points on offer.

Sadly, I don't think Rob Edwards is going anywhere. He's not a PL manager - never will be - so if he does get Wolves promoted from the Championship, he'll almost definitely relegate the club again. I don't see the value in keeping him when anyone with half a brain can see that he can't manage a club beyond the Championship. It's not progressive thinking. I also don't trust any manager who takes the Watford job.
People at Wolves also need to realise how strong the Championship is going to be next season. Burnley, West Ham/Spurs, Southampton/Middlesborough, Wrexham, Birmingham City, and possibly Norwich, Millwall, and Hull. Where do Wolves fit in with that lot?
I can see Wolves struggling next year - and it could get nasty.

Edwards got the job because nobody else really wanted it at the time. It was also likely to prepare us for the Championship, because the squad isn't good enough. However, Rob Edwards' limited abilities are only part of the problem. A master craftsman couldn't carve a masterpiece with a plastic teaspoon. In the same way, no matter how good a coach is, he still needs decent players and football people around him.
I can see next season going a similar way to the Zenga/Lambert season, and there may be some nervous looks over our shoulders at the bottom 3. And if we have any financial issues, the EFL will be on us quickly, meaning things could go from bad to worse.

Well, it's finally happened. Now let's see what the board do now: will they stick with RE or start afresh? Hopefully it's the second, as I can't see the present management setup getting us back straight away.
1.) 21 Apr 2026 06:26:25
Edward looks like a beaten man already.

Very poor performance again yesterday. Spent good money to watch an RE team that would not win a Sunday league game. No tactics. And what is all the hype about Armstrong? He's like a Duracell battery, just runs and runs but without the final spark.
Everyone keeps saying he's a championship player. Is that why he didn't stay at West Brom due to his lack of goals or am I missing the point.

Sorry that was a month still ridiculous.
1.) 02 Apr 2026 13:27:01
£400, 000 a month for Angel Gomes? Astonishing if true. We're lashing out the sort money that top six teams do. We can't put relegation down to the usual story of lack of money. Jeff Shi must have been toasted behind his back in boardrooms up and down the country for being a soft touch, like taking candy from a baby.
Hold on, Jeff presumably had nothing to do with the Angel Gomes deal, that should have been Nathan, so is the profligate expenditure still being done? I think I should send a fake invoice to Wolves, it might get paid!
29 Apr 2026 20:08:19
We've been down that road before, not sure. I want to see us with stop gap players again.
29 Apr 2026 09:41:26
Let's hope it's true, and hopefully he will come back for Jackson and Tolu.
30 Jan 2026 17:25:09
You might think I'm being unfair but I don't think he's the right player for us he's turned us down before why not give Danny Angel the young under 21 striker a chance I don't think he would be more of a gamble than Adams in the championship
30 Jan 2026 12:55:34
Another superstar I don't think
22 May 2026 12:20:53
Why don't you admit you're a big fan of his. We know he inherited a poor team, but he could have played with a bit more adventure.
22 May 2026 08:31:09
How many chances do you want to give him Robert Mc CaCall he had 70 + pionts to play for kept playing defefensive football home and away more. excuses then a labour goverment the still thinks he will. get us back up get real
20 May 2026 21:10:39
That's what he was bought for. He is also usually left back for Norway.
20 May 2026 18:12:11
Moller_ Wolfe is a left back.
19 May 2026 20:52:51
Agree, Greyleg, let's hope he takes Armstrong with him. All he does is run around like a headless chicken; might as well have Forrest Gump at centre forward.
