Deal off Crystal Palace have communicated their intention to walk away from the deal to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves.
29 Jan 2026 20:16:26
Its got to the point were I no longer expect Fosun to do anything to galvanise this club. If you don't expect, you can't be disappointed.
29 Jan 2026 22:06:13
I think the Palace one is down to a prefered target joining them on loan from Villa.
30 Jan 2026 07:30:58
Guessard is a different type of player Rated but both comparable in that they are underperforming. We dodged a bullet when not getting him in the summer but unfortunately were snipered by several other ones!
29 Jan 2026 16:49:23
Every thing seems to be on Larsen to Palace but starting to get worried as all talk of incomings have gone. Where has the rumours on Angel Gomes gone or Philip Otele plus striker Lassine Sinayak. Somethong must be going on behind the scenes they have go to sign 3 or 4 or 5 players orim I deluded.
29 Jan 2026 17:28:57
In hindsight, it looked like we dropped a clanger not taking the Newcastle bid in the summer for JSL, considering his form since. I can't believe that we're getting another crack at accepting £50mil.
Maybe he will thrive with better players around him at Palace, but I doubt it. One good season does not a player make. Will we be weakened with his departure? Not if we recruit and also make better use of who we have.
29 Jan 2026 17:42:05
Angel is in talks with Everton and Newcastle, sinayak in talks with boro and Coventry.
It will be the same old fosun guff at the end of the window
30 Jan 2026 09:40:20
Got to agree with de wolf!
30 Jan 2026 09:42:08
Even if a club does buy larsen fosun will pocket the cash!
29 Jan 2026 15:51:12
Don’t know how genuine this is but we’ve apparently got a new Chinese defensive midfielder (young lad) by the name of Xu bin.
If he’s any good I can hear fans asking “where’ve Xu Bin?”
😂
29 Jan 2026 16:36:55
BosWolf this was 3 or 4 months ago played un Chinas 2nd league mf not much hope signed befor RE took over.
29 Jan 2026 16:44:04
We have bos I posted about it weeks ago when the news broke in China
Straight out on loan as he won’t get a work permit atm
29 Jan 2026 10:10:41
Strand Larsen to palace a done deal 45 million plus 5 million in add ons
Another few quid in the fosun coffers for them
29 Jan 2026 11:06:55
Mixed about this one. A great deal on one hand for a player who just isn't doing it for us and even when he was scoring this time last year I didn't like his lazy demeanor. But its only a great deal if any of that money is reinvested now or during the summer which I fear it will not be.
Earlier in the window when we were linked to Callum Wilson on a free or Surridge from MLS and Bowie from Hibs I thought we could build a pretty formidable Championship forward line but now. early window optimism has gone.
In the words of the Who. Nathan Shi. meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
29 Jan 2026 15:41:48
And still no incomings. And all players linked are using the 'prefer to stay at their current club' line. Just goes to show the state of the club.
The likes of Fulham and Bournemouth are capable of attracting decent players but we, even with our history just don't appeal to even mediocre players.
29 Jan 2026 17:34:29
Nothing to do with history Good, just maybe they understand league tables.
29 Jan 2026 07:18:39
Crystal Palace are close to singing jsl after agreeing a deal close to £40m upfront Leeds had a second offer of £33m +£6m in add Ons rejected as Wolves wanted most of the cash upfront
29 Jan 2026 09:56:20
Express and star reporting a bid of £45m + £5m in bonuses expected
29 Jan 2026 10:15:30
I’ve read it’s £50 million
29 Jan 2026 06:33:16
Jørgen Strand Larsen to Crystal Palace according to norwegian media. No comments from me.
28 Jan 2026 04:52:25
To update the transfer situation, so far (28.Jan), Lopez, Munetsi and Hoever have departed.
Sa, Johnstone, Hugo Bueno, Wolfe, Larsen, Joao Gomes, Andre and Agbadou are being targetted and now Enso Gonzalez has been put up for sale, Tchatchoua is also available.
Incomings, well all sorts of reports but whether any materialise only time will tell but here's what I have read:
Otole, FC Basel (winger), Adjetey also FC Basel (defender), Mehmett, Bristol City (midfielder), Gomes, Marseille (midfielder) and Sinayoko, Auxerre (striker).
If you know anymore, add them to the list.
28 Jan 2026 06:29:46
Mehmett has joined Ipswich.
28 Jan 2026 11:19:29
Thanks OAP. Looks like we are repeating the last transfer window's mistakes with zero PL experience coming in. Maybe that's the plan, that we are recruiting for the championship.
28 Jan 2026 11:43:42
I think this window is the perfect storm of all worst cases. Not staying up or even within a realistic chance of doing so, so no one wants to come. Players been moved on are mainly the summer signings showing what a disaster the previous window was. January is a nightmare to sign anyone decent in at the best of times, but the club have nothing worth offering.
I wouldn't be surprised if no one comes in this window. It's a case of clear out anyone they can to get some cash in, write off the end of the season and then cobble something together for next season. I can see players coming in pre season, but not for big money.
Serious questions need answering about the failure to sign any premier league experience in the summer. Also why so few of our youth prospects make the first team or go out on loan and seem to come back regressing as players and not improving.
28 Jan 2026 12:01:31
What we needed was Premier league standard players irrespective of whether they'd actually played in it or not. Most have fallen well short.
27 Jan 2026 20:16:51
Just seen on X that Wolves are considering a loan or permanent deal move for Enzo Gonzalez. Another wonder kid I think we paid £5 Million for and we'll never see.
27 Jan 2026 22:08:17
Yes in talks with Mallorca apparently, nominal fee of around 1million
Don’t tell goatmark though he will persuade you it’s a good deal losing 4 million on a player who’s played a handful of minutes for us, has potential though 😂😂😂😂
27 Jan 2026 23:23:56
Tbf 5mil on potential is nothing, it only has to work out once every so often for it to make business sense. I believe most teams have this approach but it must be wrong as fosun do it also.
As for all those players you listed bed wetter as far as I remember none cost 35mil but it doesn’t surprise me that you can’t read other people’s posts properly.
27 Jan 2026 15:41:52
Forest have contacted Wolves about Sa.
27 Jan 2026 19:04:18
This window has been a complete waste of time.
Regardless of league position the club should have acted so we had pace up front and a decent rwb from the start of January.
We have been trying and credit to RE and the squad but the club should have acted.
As a fan I'm not bothered about PSR or finances football is all about enjoyment and taking risks and being rewarded.
Genuinely believe if we had signed Tyrique George on loan for £4m we would have beat Everton and Newcastle and had a bit more against City.
Modern premier league football is draining the fun out of the game and Fosun are part of that.
Very tempted to take my money and time and spend it on more rewarding pleasures.
28 seasons as a STH and the lack of a plan and no inspiration in building a team has left me pretty numb to enjoying the Wolves.
£30m would have signed decent player early doors and got it sorted.
28 Jan 2026 03:17:13
Fosun need to go mate broken promise after broken promise, they need to just sell up and go if they want the wolf head then take it we can go back to the 3 leaping wolves or the city crest.
28 Jan 2026 03:43:30
Who would want to come to wolves right gut now. We will hopefully keep the core we have now and look to strengthen in the summer to try and come straight back up.
28 Jan 2026 11:48:58
If I was buying the club (unfortunately I'm not a billionaire) I'd lease the wolf head to fosun on strict terms as an additional income for the club. Then I'd invest in the stadium, academy, fan experiences, corporate, all the things needed to try and make the club sustainable at a higher level. And most importantly have good commercial people for the commercial side of the business, and good football people for the football side of the business.
PSR will still be a problem for whoever owns the club, but if they invest where possible without breaking the rules it at least gives the club a chance of being competitive in the long term.
I wouldn't guarantee promotion next season. Championship is a tough league and if the recruitment isn't spot on in the summer it could be a real slog.
