1.) 06 Feb 2026 08:33:11
Hi exwolves, thanks for your posts. They’re appreciated. You seem to be a little more in the know than others, so I always look out for your posts. ???
2.) 06 Feb 2026 11:19:08
Yeah batteries mate Exref is a good one for information.
3.) 06 Feb 2026 18:02:01
Thanks guys much appreciated I try to only post when I have a reliable source hopefully can finish the season strongly
04 Feb 2026 10:43:35
Wolves have accepted a €25million bid from palmeiras for arias fluminese now have 48hrs to match that bid great player in Brazillian leagues just hasent worked out for him
1.) 04 Feb 2026 15:28:36
Jhon Arias has showed over the last few weeks that he is more settled and actually looks decent.
Fosun won't care that this is a player who, if we retain, can be brilliant in the Championship. All they see are the $$$ signs.
2.) 04 Feb 2026 15:39:04
Again sensible.
Shocked but have Wolves finally learnt their lessons!
He has not worked out and is unlikely to be any better in the even more physical Championship.
If the club can sell him at a not insignificant profit raising cash to pay down debt and/or finance the re-build then it should.
It could in any case be argued that Gomes A has already arrived as his replacement - home grown, substantially cheaper and on lower wages.
Note as some of you may think somewhat conversely I however believe Emmanuel should not be sold! He has shown that he is more than capable of playing in the Championship and if Wolves can afford it and can persuade them to stay he and Krejci would form a pairing that would be without peers in the Championship.
3.) 04 Feb 2026 17:01:18
Come on Good, let’s have some realism. When a club offers you €25 million for a player who has been mostly bloody awful, you take it. Arias looked good against Shrewsbury, but that’s about it. He now also has no chance of getting in front of Angel Gomes and/or Bellegarde.
4.) 04 Feb 2026 18:06:09
There's no way that Arias would even want to play in the championship when there's competition for him from at least two clubs. Fosun could have taken £55mil for JSL last summer but, unusually, they weren't seeing $$$ signs then.
5.) 04 Feb 2026 18:24:52
Interesting post.
I would sell Arias and Agbadou.
For different reasons Arias has struggled with the pace and physicality of the prem and to recoup the money is smart.
Theres a technical player there but I think it is a bad fit all around.
Agbadou I would sell as I think teams have worked him out. When he came in February 2025 he was physical and good on the ball.
But our bad form at the end of last season was due to forwards recognising you could run at him as he isn't particularly fast but faster than some of our other defenders (which says a lot).
I would allow Edwards to build a defence and team that he wants.
Other notes of contention for me but I feel we should have got Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea at the start of January.
I would have also gone for Disasi. Just feel there was 57 points to play for pre West Ham game and we should have won against Everton and Newcastle.
We could have then signed Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong and made the last 4 months competitive.
It just feels feeble our lack of fight from above rather than on the pitch.
£900 a season ticket the past two years the squads and the quality in both those squads is a gulf.
Do we get refunds for miss selling them?
6.) 04 Feb 2026 18:38:34
Not saying we shouldn't sell if the price is right but he has finally started to look decent. Of course he'll move on as he's one of the more saleable assets.
Future. Angel Gomes earns £80k and Arias £65k per week so Gomes is more expensive, plus we only have an option to buy as opposed to an obligation to.
Sa, Jackson, Agbadou, Andre, Krejci and Joao will all move on but somehow Fosun will try and spend minimal funds on replacements and tell all and sundry that the squad will only need minor tweaks.
On paper, the remaining players should be too good for the Championship but we all know that the reality is very different. I mean a team of: Johnstone, Doc, Toti, Santi, Mosquera, Hugo, Traore, Angel, Rodrigo, Tolu and Mane plus Bellegarde, Sasa, Armstrong, Fer Lopez and Munetsi isn't a bad foundation but I fear Fosun just aren't interested anymore.
7.) 04 Feb 2026 18:42:15
I may be wrong but wasn’t Agbadou clocked as one of the top 10 fastest players in the prem last season?
8.) 04 Feb 2026 19:04:52
Mad - the point you make is the same one BB and Good made - should Fosun have acted on Jan 1 when a miracle might, ( only might), have been possible.
i have to accept that it is not an unrealistic one which I missed - blinded by a flicker of rationality later on in the month when the miracle was gone.
Assuming Edwards is here, ( far from certain that he will), that would be the obvious thing to do but I strongly suspect he won't be able to as the players he will want will be the ones that will go.
Interesting view on Emmanuel - but as you say what does it say about the rest of the CBs at the club as he was head and shoulders above all of them last season.
In the Champ I suspect he would be a behemoth and with Krejci would be as good as any in the league.
Guess that is opinions for you!"
Ironically though Armstrong wouldn't have been the signing to make then though as he is clearly not good enough for the Prem.
Not sure who those signings should have been though as far from convinced the 2 Chelsea boys would have moved the dial either.
9.) 04 Feb 2026 21:05:21
Wolves fans have to accept that many players - certainly the better players - are going to leave. Bids will come in for most of the first team squad - players who will not want to play in the Championship on a reduced wage. If you were a PL player on 80k a week, would you want Championship football on 56k a week? I know 56k a week is a fantastic wage, but these people live in a different world. Not just flash cars, houses, children in private schools, etc., many players will be supporting extended family and friends. As a young man I worked at a posh hotel and we hosted a famous footballers wedding reception. It was amazing how many ‘friends’ he had.
Starting from the back to the top there are players I would love for Wolves to keep, but I can’t see them staying. I would love Rodrigo Gomes, Lima, Mosquera, Krejci, Hugo Bueno, Wolfe, Mane, Bellegarde, Hwang-Hee Chan and Tolu to stay, but most will go. Bids will come in and these individuals have to think of their careers and their families.
We can’t be in the Championship with either H Bueno or Wolfe warming the bench, so one or both goes. Again, Lima has to play and he’s not going to get in front of R Gomes or whoever else is RB/RWB. If Edwards wants a new, experienced RB/RWB, R Gomes won’t sit on the bench in the Championship. There will be plenty of bids for Krejci. Agbadou won’t play in the Championship, unless Wolves have his family tied up in a basement for the entire season. Personally I’ll be glad to see Agba leave. Tchatchoua has to go simply because he’s bloody dreadful. Hwang is a weird one because he obviously has a lot of commercial value. This is why he plays week in week out. This is why Wolves are so desperate to unearth an amazing Chinese player. I would keep Hwang in the Championship, and he strikes me as a player who might stay, but again, many bids will come in for him. You buy Hwang for exposure in South Korea.
Who will stay? I think Johnstone will stay. I also think Doherty, S Bueno, Toti Gomes, but other than those few I’m struggling to think of anyone else! I think Tommy Doyle will be brought back in, which will be like a new signing.
Being honest, I think Wolves need a bit of a reset and Rob Edwards has to be allowed to build his own team. I love that his first two signings are English. It will be nice to see a team with a few UK players.
10.) 05 Feb 2026 15:42:58
Good post batteries, I do personally think Johnstone will go though, and Doherty is out of contract so can’t see him agreeing to a new one on what will be a championship wage.
11.) 05 Feb 2026 16:46:28
Thanks, De wolf. You’re probably right about Johnstone. I’m struggling to think of who will stay. How many will want to stay and turn their guts out in the Championship? I think with Doherty there’s a place for him at RCB. He has a habit of surprising people.
I’m positive about what lays ahead for Wolves. I’ll be glad to see the back of a team struggling to field one UK player, and a bunch of players who see Wolves as nothing but a springboard to better things.
12.) 09 Feb 2026 00:26:13
As soon as you mentioned hwang and mosquera I hung up. both awful and a total disrespect to the shirt they wear.
02 Feb 2026 14:47:12
Jsl to palace will be wrapped up matteta to Milan has collapsed but will not affect the deal Armstrong and Gomez have passed medicals bid lodged for che Adam’s but unlikely to happen as Torino will not let him leave without a replacement
01 Feb 2026 13:48:11
Jsl to palace will be completed by Monday angel gomez also close to joining as widely reported buy option is not based on prem survival no conditions
31 Jan 2026 01:56:09
Jsl to palace is still on just delayed will be wrapped up over the weekend
1.) 31 Jan 2026 12:12:07
If JSL to Palace is still on, we will know today. Obviously we won't play him against Bournemouth in case of injury. If we're getting 50 big ones for him, wrap him in cotton wool. Money is too good to turn down.
2.) 01 Feb 2026 13:47:02
Will be completed by the deadline

Tolu Arokodare to Wolves has progressed well and is very close
15 Aug 2025 12:36:45
Ben Doak To Bournemouth almost complete £25m fee was never a target for Wolves but was appreciated
26 Jul 2025 01:29:17
Evan gussands is close to joining crystal palace
1.) 26 Jul 2025 08:35:15
We should poach it
2.) 26 Jul 2025 09:58:12
That only happens to Wolves, we only ones daft enough to allow it to happen. Forgive me for the pessimism this morning, get cheesed off with all the non action, have you seen the report on what clubs have spent so far, Liverpool at the top on something like £300m. Think we are near the bottom obviously, not sure how we can climb the table with the squad we have at the moment, another season fighting relegation I fear.
3.) 26 Jul 2025 10:56:51
As of 1050am today, we have spent €67m.
This is more than:
Fulham 0
Palace €2.3m
Villa €7m
Forest 31m
Bournemouth €42.4m
Everton €50m
Brentford €60m
Newcastle €61.4m
West Ham €62
How much we spent between now and the end of the window is anyones guess and who we buy is unknown but surely something has to happen soon.
4.) 26 Jul 2025 11:34:19
Spent more than I thought Wandering. Keep forgetting as well Larsen is in this summers spending even though he been here for a while.
Realistically, what are people’s expectations on transfers in and out? How many, and who moving out and who we could sign, see if I can feel more optimistic ??
5.) 26 Jul 2025 14:01:32
Thing is Banksy every player we've been linked with on the clink bait reports have gone else where, which makes me wonder how serious we are in recruitment, so either we've got some surprises to arrive, or we're going to try and make do. The pubill incident sums it up really.
I just hope we've no more outgoungs bar the obvious and even then it'll leave us light.
6.) 26 Jul 2025 14:40:04
I thought and hoped this summer would have been different Abbeywolf, unfortunately it is looking very similar to previous seasons. All of the players we were initially linked to have, I think moved on.
Unless the likes of Sasa, Guedes, Hwang are staying and can contribute and play a part we look very light to me. Who is left as back up in midfield, as you say, we have to hope things are being worked on we are not aware of ??. Perhaps they are trying to sell before buying, at the moment it is not looking good.
7.) 26 Jul 2025 14:50:42
I agree all. Trouble is we are not currently in a position to attract great players. We need to at least finish mid table for rolling seasons for a cheeky promise that we could play in Europe soon.
I hadn’t realized we were in front of other clubs Wandering - nice update thanks.
In my eyes we need enough good players to cover injuries/challenge for each position and that includes goal keeper, which very few mention!
8.) 26 Jul 2025 14:54:29
Abbey. We can't compete with what we've got so far. Not if we get a series of injuries anyway. We need a RB/RWB maybe LB/LWB someone to replace Cuhna and hopefully another striker. Just hope we can offload some of the deadwood like Fabio to help with new acquisitions and hope Shi keeps his word!
9.) 26 Jul 2025 15:17:39
Completely off topic.
Does anyposter on here know about the whereabouts or wellbeing of one of our previous posters JAS M.
I always found his posts very interesting and informative
10.) 26 Jul 2025 16:01:47
More meaningless statistics Wandering! Is it relevant what other clubs have spent? What matters is what additions Wolves bring in before the deadline as our future Prem status may depend on it!
11.) 26 Jul 2025 16:43:41
47Vintage. I was pointing out to a poster who thought the club hadn't spent any money that they actually had. I wasn't posting a stat, I was posting a fact. Let's not over analyse everything.
12.) 26 Jul 2025 18:58:52
Nick 1960, Jas M decided to have a rest from the rumours page quite a while ago. He had his personal reasons along side some unfair remarks on the site I believe, but like you his common sense and enlightening post are missed by me too.
13.) 26 Jul 2025 20:03:49
Abbeywolf, you should do an analysis and see if we lose more transfer battles than other teams or if most teams only sign a small fraction of their targets.
14.) 26 Jul 2025 20:49:32
Jas M as well as Phil789 are missed. Hope they are OK.
15.) 26 Jul 2025 21:23:04
Thanks for the info Abbeywolf regarding JAS M.
I would like to reach out to JAS M
Please let us know how you are and let's have you back on board posting about our beloved club
21 Jul 2025 21:03:58
Mark Pubill deal done will be announced sometime in the next few days
1.) 22 Jul 2025 09:32:24
I have a bad feeling about this deal. Two words - Commitment and medical.
2.) 22 Jul 2025 10:01:31
Saw that exwolves, I hope its not a last minute 'missed out to AC who came back with improved offer' situ, but Arias and Pubill this week would be a start. Personally I'd like to hear something positive regarding Sa staying, if he were to go where would we get a decent keeper on our seemingly low budget?. I don't think Johnstone and Bently are really that reliable to be No.1.
3.) 22 Jul 2025 11:13:38
Patrick Cutrone, similarities! But without knowing details it's difficult to comment.
4.) 22 Jul 2025 11:34:27
Doing business and still not happy ?
5.) 22 Jul 2025 12:58:30
Lostcitywolves Pubill passed his medical at AC Milan with flying colours. AC Milan pulled the plug because they said he wasn't technical enough. To me strange if you have watched the player and then chase to sign him then say its because he's not technical enough.
6.) 22 Jul 2025 14:44:54
Shada I read that but I interpreted the 'technical comments' meaning that they realised they already had players with similar skills at the club so they weren't really gaining anything.
Either way, as you say it's still odd chasing him, getting him in for a medical, which he passed, then deciding that you didn't want/need him. Let's see if he passes a Wolves medical, I think they're tougher.
7.) 22 Jul 2025 15:58:21
I'm with you on this one LostCity. They're my worries too - not just the medical itself even but that injury. Time will tell as always
8.) 22 Jul 2025 16:06:06
Or maybe there was a slight issue with the medical but they didn't want to say it was the official reason.
03 Feb 2025 14:17:47
Early talks to bring back coady and Dawson going the other way lots of work too do tho
06 Feb 2026 18:02:01
Thanks guys much appreciated I try to only post when I have a reliable source hopefully can finish the season strongly
01 Feb 2026 13:47:02
Will be completed by the deadline
01 Sep 2025 16:17:49
Told player requested a £10m singing on fee which was why Wolves walked away player has also reject a move to Leicester who were willing to give him a high sign on fee lower then £10m and a high wage . Could be revisited after window close if player fails to find a move
27 Aug 2025 13:37:46
Jsl is happy to stay with Wolves but has agreed personal terms with Newcastle to allow a fast deal if clubs come to an agreement on a fee pretty common with most transfers
26 Aug 2025 11:28:53
Just Spanish press running with stories it’s true the player is not happy with the getafe higherarchy due to his agent getting pushed to the side for a lower fee to pay mendes and ran with it
02 Jan 2023 00:28:12
I got one wrong on bad information like I said transfers are very versatile I’m told then I pass the info on that time the source wasent accurate although talks were held I’m just trying to help fellow fans out don’t like it don’t read it happy new year
