I've got a feeling that Jhon Arias is going to be one of the standout stars of the upcoming World Cup.
I don't think he was given a fair crack of the whip whilst at Molineux.
08 Jun 2026 20:56:30
He was given more than a fair crack of the whip and couldn't wait to leave.
08 Jun 2026 21:31:12
I think VP and Edwards stifled his impact by playing such negative, defensive football. He was so good during the World Club World Cup and his performances had got up a gear since returning to Brazil.
I would have preferred him to Angel Gomes.
08 Jun 2026 21:50:39
I always thought he was a good player, but most of his work went unnoticed. He got a similar fan reaction as Armstrong is getting now. Shame he wanted out, not much can be done about that.
08 Jun 2026 18:31:25
Trriper also completed his medical expected to be announced soon. ✅

It's always a good day when ex Wolves appears on Wolvesrumours. Just waiting for you to tell us Wolves are getting £50 million for Tchatchoua and Tolu!
08 Jun 2026 23:07:05
Trippier done and dusted. Raul next, fingers crossed.
08 Jun 2026 18:26:53
Apparently a contingent are heading over to the States to tie up the Jimenez deal.
08 Jun 2026 19:17:22
Email would be cheaper and quicker than flying to the States.
08 Jun 2026 19:54:25
Fulham released him as a registered player this afternoon.
08 Jun 2026 17:54:34
Raul close to returning. Still a bit of work to do but expected to be completed. ⌛️

It's a shame Doherty is leaving. He could be a good squad member for Wolves in the Championship. My best moment for me was his winning goal against Man City.
08 Jun 2026 09:42:20
Mixed emotions about Doc. Would be valuable in the Champ no doubt, but I think there is more to this than meets the eye (or ear). When he left for Spurs, he seemed to burn his bridges behind him. Just now, he has deleted his Wolves' social media posts, if reports are correct.
Whatever, Wolves did very well out of him, considering that Mick signed him from Ireland by chance for what, £80K? He was PL player of the month during our Nuno glory days.
08 Jun 2026 10:25:03
Doc gave us some great moments. I believe he scored the late goal against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup to get the replay in our semi-final season. Otherwise, history would be very different.
He'll be good in the Championship for someone, but sadly not for us, and here is why.
Trippier is better. I don't think you could play both as first choice with a 34/35 year old on each flank. Doc would want a decent wage, so would be an expensive back up, and if swapping to a back 4 I think there are better options at centre back for the money at that level.
08 Jun 2026 13:52:34
Doc was a good player who peaked beautifully under Nuno. At his age now, with his fitness levels, Wolves can't give him a new contract out of loyalty. It could be argued that Wolves shouldn't have re-signed him - it smacked of desperation and (a form of) nepotism. He's had a few brief moments at rcb, but other than that, Wolves have been paying him handsomely for doing very little.
He could be half-decent in the Championship if he played at rcb, but how many games will he play and how much money will he want? Laters, Doc, thanks for good times.

Che Adams sent a timely reminder to Wolves with his two goals against Bolivia.
07 Jun 2026 19:19:16
Wouldn’t it make more sense for Wolves to buy Bastien Meupiyou for the £1 million buyback fee and then sell him on? Give Alverca a bottle of wine for their trouble.
If Wolves allow Meupiyou to stay at Alverca and let them sell him for approx £15 million, Wolves will get their original fee back plus 50% in the profit range, which equates to about £10 million.
07 Jun 2026 22:20:48
It would make more sense, and, looking at news reports, it's something we are looking at. It would, however, also rely on him agreeing to the move, which could be a sticking point.
08 Jun 2026 03:11:25
But would Dortmund want to deal with us after the Silva fiasco?
08 Jun 2026 09:01:59
According to Football League World, the buy-back option doesn't exist, so, on a $12 million plus $5 million in add-ons, we would get $6 million + $2.5 million.
08 Jun 2026 13:58:44
Wolves will get back their original EUR5 million purchase fee, plus 50% in the profit range, so they're looking at about EUR11 million in total. Apparently a few clubs are sniffing around him, so Wolves/Alverca might get a very decent initial fee with fewer add-ons.

Kit has been revealed. i got quite emotional at the video tbh.
08 Jun 2026 09:03:10
Pity about the badge.
07 Jun 2026 09:27:07
So Trincao going to Liverpool in the paper lol.
07 Jun 2026 11:24:42
Let me guess. Another one we let go blah blah blah.
The fact he was s*** when he played for us will be conveniently forgotten.
07 Jun 2026 16:08:24
Tbf, Trincao's attitude stank when he was with us.
07 Jun 2026 19:09:32
Not saying anything about letting him go. He was poor with us. You could see there's a player in there tho, it just didn't work out.
07 Jun 2026 19:26:29
He never wanted to come to us anyway.but he cudve been quality just like vitinha.never got a look in because of neves and moutinho.just add him to the list of ones that got away.or we wer too stupid to see the player they could be...🫣🫣🫣
07 Jun 2026 21:19:16
Trincao didn't exactly set the world alight at Wolves, and there's a huge difference between being brilliant in Portugal's Primeira Liga and the Premier League.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Didn't Ron Saunders bin Steve Bull because he had a terrible first touch? To paragraph someone else, it worked out well for Wolves as his second touch was normally in the back of the net.
07 Jun 2026 21:39:48
Why are players like this terrible at Wolves, and then go and set the world on fire? Vitinha, etc. Is it the way we play, or how they are used?
07 Jun 2026 22:12:55
These things happen, VB. Vitinha is a bit more of an unusual one because Wolves let him go and now he's a double Champions League winner. Other than that, pretty much every club can look back and think "FFS, why the hell did we let that player go?" "Why did we let him go so cheap?" Etc, etc.
Look at Chelsea... They released Declan Rice! They let Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah slip through their fingers! On the other hand, they picked up Claude Makelele for a bargain £17 million who was probably the best defensive midfielder in the world. What the hell were Real Madrid thinking?
07 Jun 2026 22:23:19
Liverpool haven't bought Trincao yet, and I will be very surprised if they do. He's technically gifted, but lacks the physical presence required to consistently compete in the Prem.
