Assume everyone has seen the "headline" financial statement information released by the club yesterday.
It tragically explains completely why Wolves decided to "align" their financial year-end from May to June.
An alignment that conveniently allowed the rushed and dreadfully executed transfers of Cunha and Ran to be included in the accounts for the new period.
The underlying, ongoing, before one off transfer, loss made by the club has exploded from just under £80m in the period to May 2024, to a mind blowing £132m in the new period.
Obviously, as it is a 13 month period not a 12 month one some adjustments need to be taken into account but however you cut it turnover is down and costs, (wages), are massively up.
There is also a fairly chunky write down of the value of "a" or several players, (still in the squad), acknowledging the over payment in the transfer market.
These are truly dreadful accounts and do nothing to assuage concerns regarding the prospects of the club.
01 Apr 2026 14:55:55
Turnover will be down by an est £150million next season.
01 Apr 2026 15:25:20
These figures are absolutely awful as the club has posted a loss even though they've sold Cunha, Ait, Kilman and Neto.
01 Apr 2026 15:59:01
Years of mismanagement and a lack of development have led us to this, but it could potentially get worse.
Fosun's group revenue is also down by £2Bn, so will this ensure our future in the lower leagues, as the chances of them spending on the club are surely diminished.

Great analysis as always, TFG. Anyone seen the Prems' recently released list of agents' fees? We are 7th on the list, just think about that for a second, 7th! For a team that's managed just 17 points all season, how is that even possible when we are buying unproven players from unproven leagues?! For context, here the only teams above us are last season's top four, plus United and Villa. Now let's take a look at the league: can any fan genuinely tell me that we've been even in the same league for signing the calibre of players those around us have?! Sorry, but poor mismanagement from Fosun! I bet each agent pretty much doubled their demands the moment Jeff walked through the bloody door! Some of us have been saying it for years, but the level of mismanagement at our beloved club is genuinely horrific! Makes me very angry, to be honest. 😭

Does anyone know what's going on with the Wolves Reward programme?
In pre season the club wrote "The relaunch of Wolves Rewards will give our supporters the opportunity to save money and enter unmissable competitions."
I was told by the club that the launch was imminent. That was in July 2025. Then again in September 2025. And again in January 2026 and then lastly again yesterday.

Some of the rewards partners have stopped partnering with the club.
Rewards programme will be up and running before next season, but will be downgraded.

Ed001 could you find out how much the loan was for Krejci i said 6mill with a further 20mill to make permanant. Because Old Wulf has said he read 22.5 was paid for the loan and 7.5 was to buy to me it was strange nobody pays that for a loan.
{Ed001's Note - he has got that from Transfermarkt and it was because it was an obligation to buy. So you did that because you didn't have enough to pay for it in one go and shifted that 7.5m payment on a year so it would come under a different financial reporting year.}
30 Mar 2026 06:22:13
Thank you.
{Ed001's Note - you are very welcome. It was not really a loan, more of a buy now, pay later.}
26 Mar 2026 19:04:13
Krejci captains Czechia tonight. Surely he should be the Wolves Captain next season (if he stays). He has the experience having been Sparta Prague skipper in the past.
26 Mar 2026 19:53:58
He should be for sure, but I highly doubt he will be here. He has been one of our highlights during this dismal season.
27 Mar 2026 12:39:18
And he scored the equaliser. Definitely a good player and should prob be captain.
Glad we actually bought him, as there was a lot of talk that we wouldn't play him the rest of the season so not to fork out the money. Fingers crossed he stays for another season at least.
28 Mar 2026 08:24:48
Never saw any of that talk, Goatmark. The loan fee was so high compared to what we had to pay to actually purchase that, even Fosun couldn't mess that up (or could they?).
28 Mar 2026 11:58:38
Old Wulf: Wolves bought him in the Jan transfer window, paid the 20mill fee. I put it on here then. So, if they sell they will want at least 26mill just to break even.
28 Mar 2026 12:18:49
D Mac. 30m Euro in total, but the loan fee was the bulk of that (75%).
28 Mar 2026 13:35:49
Old Wulf, yes, but the loan fee was 6mill, so if Wolves sell, which I hope they don't, you're talking 30mill just to break even. Who's going to pay that? If he wants to leave, personally, I think he will be even better with a season in the Championship.
28 Mar 2026 15:24:40
Old Wulf, it was before Jan when he was injured, a few posting that he wasn’t and Wolves didn’t want to trigger the signing. Also, a few people claiming he would be going back to Girona.
And one poster even saying he definitely won’t sign as we wouldn’t be in the Prem, tbf, that poster seems to be consistently wrong with their speculation of who will stay or go.
28 Mar 2026 17:10:47
Didn't see that, Goatmark. D Mac: the source I saw stated that the total fee was 30m euros, but as it was virtually certain he'd be coming, the loan fee was 22.5m (75%), and the payment for purchase would be 7.5m. Strange, I know, but these are the figures still being quoted on, for example, Flashscore. I suppose none of us really know.
28 Mar 2026 19:53:09
Oh I see Fosun's number one fan has reared his head again.
28 Mar 2026 22:39:17
Haha, I take it you mean me, De? Fosun fan because I said I'm glad we signed him? Is that all it takes? Or is it because I pointed out that you wetting the bed over us, saying we'd definitely not sign Krejci, was completely wrong? At least I can admit when I'm wrong, but still you think I'm Fosun's number one fan.
How's J Gomes getting on at Man Utd, btw, or was that Napoli?
Once again, just because I don't agree with your fud-spreading opinion doesn't mean I agree with the way the club is being run.

Check out Rodrigo Gomes Premier League Masterclass presented by Shaun Wright-Phillips. Initially they discuss Rodrigo's career but then SWP challenges him to recreate Joao Moutinho's greatest goals. He does.
The video can be viewed on YouTube or the Wolves website.
25 Mar 2026 20:58:52
Seems such a nice lad. Let's hope we keep him next season.
23 Mar 2026 11:11:03
Anyone notice the similarity in Villa's first goal against West Ham to the goal Ruben Neves scored against Villa six years ago when Moutinho rolled it over to him on the edge of the box.
Those were the days.
