Sean Neave, welcome to Wolves.
I am all for giving younger players a chance, but he is, in my opinion, not the build for a striker, but perhaps he will prove me wrong.
He will need to toughen up.

Moby, there is, as far as I know, no deal agreed for James. He is considering his options, but Wolves are pushing hard to get him. CP wants Wolves to pull out all the stops to sign him, get him in midfield with Andre. Wolves need to deliver on CP's choices, after he said I have confidence in the board to make signings.

Rated RKO, it's a waiting game. Wolves have to sell the project to James. We're getting promoted. You will play every game possible, and there will be an increase in wages when promoted to PL. Wolves have to convince James. He would be best placed here, and it would be a great signing if it comes off, but it's a big if, knowing Wolves.

James is a good option.
But someone like Casares from Gil Vincente would be good. He knows how Cesar plays, and gives Andre more freedom in midfield.
Especially now, we have forwards that move.
I'd still sign James.
I'm worried mainly about the cbs and forwards, as they aren't quick enough and don't have the consistency for a promotion challenge.
Are R Gomes, Mane, Hwang and Said good enough?
I'd class Raul and Armstrong as strikers.

'Harsh on Edwards' is a familiar talking point. Excuse me, it was a damn sight harsher on Wolves and the fans! For a team in the eighth consecutive season in the PL to be bottom all season was humiliating. You might even expect a newly-promoted club to suffer that fate, but not an established PL team. I don't blame Edwards completely for relegation, but we could have put up a much better fight.
Nuno took over a demoralised West Ham, and fought to the very last match. We finished the season on a low, and that could easily have poisoned next season. Nathan has made a bold move to embrace change for all the right reasons.

I have to say this but without there goalkeeper Albion aren't that good.

I watched against QPR the other week Moby, I didn't think either team were much to worry about, although the ease we snuffed em out today, morgan had one wild effort, was a treat.

A really good performance
Good all round effort
Should of had more goals.
But what a win against baggies.

To be honest moby, if can consistently perform with that intent we needn't worry over anyone. Bar the wonder performance of o'leary we'd be celebrating a 4/5-0 victory. I'd like to see more 'direct' threats on goal, maybe raul and the young lad from Newcastle can provide that in time?
Nerves still rattled at the back, despite great performances from toti and dieja today, the confusion with Sa and toti at the end showed that, but I think trips has a guiding influence back there now to some degree.
Andre was immense, someone who I thought may have lost his cool was admirably restrained.
Rodrigo and Mane, particularly first half were dominating, although be it tiredness and concentration wearying, the second not as much.
Fer seemed much more alert second, and his speed of thought getting the goal showed that. His celebrating and his disappointment in being subbed I think underlines his attachment to us.
Which brings me to one Ruben Neves, and was it Seiss next to him? So good to see him back at the mol enjoying the win.
Great day, sets us up for the break, game in hand one win from top spot.

Molby one of the best 90mins Wolves have played in a long time. Could or should have been at least 2 or 3 nil up at HT WBs goalie had a blinder. If to moan Trippiers passing was way of gave the ball away 4 or 5 times but just came back so can forgive.
Second Andre needs to calm down how many freekicks did the guy give away. But overall bloody brilliant performance and great win.

Slick performance today, quick passing and losing down. On another day 3 up by half time. Their goalkeeper was outstanding. However, a nervey finish, that wolves for you. Lopez and djiga are too totally different players today, maybe mismanaged previously. Toti's best game in a wolves shirt for sometime. Nobody will convince me that Armstrong, can play the out and out striker role for us.
Neave looked good when he came on, if only for his nuisance value, but will be a good acquisition for the season, and who knows permanently. Munetsi played well again, but is a booking waiting to happen, as is Andre. I think we have the depth of squad now, but an out and out striker in the next window. Onward and upward. Wolves aye we.

I agree with your comment about Armstrong,lots of pundits keep saying he will score lots of goals in the Championship-1 so far this season. Centre forwards should also worry defenders-I don't think the Bogies defenders knew he was on the pitch.

Sooner or later he was going to get injured. It's not the end of the world

Time to leave the pub, Moby, if you think that was fantastic. Insipid would be my assessment. We played ok in parts but the team will be very different come Sunday.

Only saw the first half so can't be too definitive but the, (makeshift), side looked ok.
Doyle once again impressed and defensively it was far from bad - Virginia looked solid!
However creativity was v lacking and it was no surprise that the side failed to score.
Although goals so far this season have been plentiful I am not convinced that this has been through any sort of plan rather moments of brilliance by Lopez - who the side is v reliant on - or opportunism by Gomes R - who has also done v well.
Without Raul - who despite being off the pace looks miles ahead of Armstrong playing at 9, Armstrong is surely better playing off a 9 not as the 9 - the attack looks toothless and i am concerned where the goals will come from

On paper goals are a concern but with the lower quality opposition more goals will come from non strikers as has been shown to date. Additionally, Bellegarde looked good in his cameo and he's likely to weigh in too when fully fit. I'd like to see us have more idea from set pieces but at least delivery should be good when Trippier is on the pitch.

I agree with all you've said there tfig3, we needed Raul on the pitch and unfortunately we'll be without him Sunday now.
I was surprised to see him start last night and Everton seemed to be 'concentrated' on him and it was no wonder the injury came.
Armstrong is too short for a target player and will have to have balls to run onto, fer and ricardo may provide these, and Bertrand starts he certainly can spot a chance.
I thought our passing was again 'off the mark' last night, too far or behind and, (a pet hate of mine), players waiting for the ball rather than moving to collect it. Chirawa in particular at times and Mane when he's out left.
Neave really impressed me and maybe he'll develop into a real gem.
Oh well, not a shock or big disappointment last night and fighting for places can only be good, does Virginia start after that showing last night? Or Sa with his experience in the heat of a Derby?
We'll be a different side Sunday, it'll be a different style of game but one thing we won't be beaten on is our support, who, last night were superb vocally and yet again put the opposition to shame.
We'll done those who went, to hear the chants and songs over me tv makes me feel that I'm not at home alone. COYW.

I think I've joined the members' club by now.
I can understand the frustration.
I have been going to Wolves nearly all my life, & will never understand why we were never as big as Man Utd, City, Liverpool etc.
There seems to be too many people at Wolves sat on their arses doing nothing.
Get out there; get us some investment.
Somebody out there surely would put money into Wolves. Besides, the fans deserve better than what we are getting at the moment.
