Fosun are doing Fosun things again. Nathan Shi said before pre season there will be many new faces.... Jordan James, I'm very happy with but the only player we have paid money for is a random Comoros winger. I'm. Normally positive when it comes to Wolves but it's the same over and over again.

After Jordan James, if we get Cozier-Duberry, Ellis Simms and a cb, I would feel so much more confident.

Ellis Simms, on paper you would say unlikely as just promoted with Coventry.

Look a bit further, there's a good chance that he will be available on loan. Frank Lampard only played him 15 times last year.

He is out of contract next summer, or possibly available at a reasonable price. He is now 4th choice, but Hadji has a quad injury and is out for 12 weeks. He could be useful, and allow Armstrong to move to the left.

Genuine question. Will we be doing more business? For me if we get a goalkeeper and a winger I'd be happy. With Munetsi, Lopez, Doyle and Sasa coming back in.

I think we have to be realistic. Any player out there who is worth looking at will be attracting attention from a number of clubs, not just Wolves, so there will always be a contest for his signature, that is, assuming that his parent club is even open to offers.

The chances of finding a real bargain are slim given how comprehensive the scouting networks of most clubs are.
What is most important is that we spend wisely and not have a knee jerk moment like we have in the past to our regret.

2.) 06 Aug 2026 10:15:51
Generally speaking, I agree, Derry, but this is also why I find it so entirely bizarre that Bristol City got Ballard virtually uncontested! He was going for very cheap (I suspect around £4m), and is an absolute bargain at 21 for that price. ?

3.) 06 Aug 2026 10:49:18
Ballard is an odd one. How did he get overlooked? Probably, a League One striker having a great season doesn't register on the Richter scale. Jamie Vardy was in non-league before Leicester, so you have to scout far and wide. You can't judge a book by its cover.

Of course, Moxey turned down signing Varley for Wolves at £1mil.

Orient fans are devastated with the sale of Ballard. Same as when we bemoaned the sale of Cunha, etc. But Orient are after
Jaze Kabia, who scored 23 goals for Grimsby last season, so good luck to them.

Does anyone know if there's still a match day blog.

I think with the players West Ham & Burnley, who were both better than us last season, and the players Boro are signing, we definitely need to add 4 or 5 good players worthy of getting straight into the starting 11. As it stands, we've got Bentley, who couldn't get his place at Bristol. Mosquera, who is always walking a tightrope. Munetsi, who runs but little else. And then we look at possible injuries to players like Raul.

Where's the goals gonna come from? It's only my opinion, so don't shoot me down, but if we struggle the first 2 games, and only a couple of weeks of the transfer window left, we're gonna end up with panic buys. We have no worthy cover in crucial positions, and as I speak, it looks like Boro are making another good signing. We'll see soon enough, I suppose. Forever Wolves, though.

You know the score, Lexluna. Limits to size of squad, we have to sell or loan 'em out first. All things being equal, we still have plenty of time.

7.) 06 Aug 2026 22:31:48
You're right, Deep, but I'm getting a little worried now.

Andre signed a new deal and said it's because the business we will be doing. Signing Sir Jimi and Trippier is good business. Will we sign anyone else?
Just an opinion but we need a proper goalie and an out and out winger?

It looks like Fosun have pulled the wool over our eyes yet again.

Trippier, Raul, and Andre deals were announced before the start of the transfer window opening and before the World Cup.

I understand that the World Cup would have delayed some transfer business, but most of the players we are looking to move on were not involved in the tournament, and, looking at the names thrown about, we ain't looking to sign anyone who played at the World Cup.

Fosun came out and said targets had been identified, and the club were looking to get deals over the line early, so the manager had maximum time to work with them and integrate them into his preferred style of play.

We've signed Rafiki Said since the window opened, who has since been injured.

The window has been open for 1 whole month, and still very little movement has been made. Our first league game is in 13 days time. When are the incoming players going to have time to learn the manager's methods?

We will hear the usual 'we tried our best but just couldn't get the deal over the line' message, and then have a rush of useless players arrive in the last 2 or 3 days of the window who will not be good enough and unable to integrate into Peixotos' style.

2.) 01 Aug 2026 09:17:35
Wolves are done, mate. That's why Fosun sacked Rob Edwards, because they didn't want him on the touch line for when Middlesbrough thrash the Wolves at the Molineux.

Can't wait for the Si Senor chants when Wolves are 14th in the Championship.

Wolves might start well, but they'll drop down the league. Nowhere near enough good players, and not enough goal scorers for such a long, brutal season.

The happy clappers think Raul is going to score 40 goals! Where are the goals coming from for promotion? 46 games, and fans think it's as easy as passing the ball about like Barcelona to hand it on a plate for Raul.

Wolves can't score goals - and they can't defend!

Bye bye Wolves. Bye bye Fosun.

So, what's a happy clapper wifi?

4.) 01 Aug 2026 10:20:34
Me thinks Hi-Fi may shop at Tesco. ?
Wolves could surprise a few teams this season.

5.) 01 Aug 2026 10:25:29
Here we go again, all doom and gloom again. Why not think positive for a change and get behind the team.

6.) 01 Aug 2026 11:05:58
I usually do try and be positive, but Fosun clearly told the fans that they had a plan and would do early business, but have actually done nothing. I hope I'm wrong, and we get a huge influx of players, but I just can't see it.

7.) 01 Aug 2026 14:40:06
They did indeed, Goodwhile. Never trust Fosun again. Shi II has the same m.o. as the other, what that is exactly, I don't know, they've no interest in football or success on the field. They don't seem interested in the Mol, so what are they taking or looking to get?
Hifi, keep living your dream.

Seeing all these teams linked with Bastien Meupiyou. Do we have a buy back clause?

MarkH1993

1.) 24 Jul 2026 10:35:15
I remember seeing something somewhere about it. If we do, I doubt we will activate it. From what I have seen from him (YouTube highlights), he does nothing to convince me we need him desperately.

2.) 25 Jul 2026 00:38:27
Fair enough, mate. Just waiting for him to be another Pedro Goncalves, Vitinha and Trincao.
