Looks like a bit of a tropical storm in Jacksonville.
Hope we get our fivers back if it's called off.
Should have played a bit closer to home.

Because weather doesn't happen everywhere. Seem to recall a match in Germany was suspended for half hour or so last month.
Anyway I didn't think you were bothered about watching our squad players that wouldn't play for us again this season?

2.) 28 Jul 2024 08:07:59
Tell us what you are on E so that the rest of us can ensure we avoid it.

3.) 28 Jul 2024 09:31:00
Did Wolves refund the Kings ransom you paid to watch?

4.) 28 Jul 2024 11:18:17
Think it would have been better to play in this country in front of a crowd where we could have attended in person instead of travelling 4000 miles to play West Ham reserves in 33 degree heat on a dodgy pitch leading to Cunha getting injured in an empty stadium.
We’re massive in USA but club must have forgotten to let them know we were coming.

5.) 28 Jul 2024 12:34:34
I’ve been to friendlies in the uk before where the crowd is far from sold out, they are generally away games against league one sides so we wouldn’t make any money from them. I’m fairly sure we would be making a tidy sum playing in America plus expanding our fan base so bringing in more revenue.

The Cunha injury is unfortunate but it happens even if the games are played at home. But perhaps your right, we should have played at home so the team could have had your support in person. One of the most negative complaining supporters I’ve ever witnessed, I’m sure that would have helped the team no end. But undoubtably even if the club had played at home you would still find something to criticise them for.

6.) 28 Jul 2024 13:13:25
That'll increase our exposure and marketing potential E! We could play in Skeggy against some of the local teams. The whole idea of these mini tournaments is to attract more supporters and make us more attractive to investors. Unfortunately and it saddens me a little also that the game has moved at such a pace and the wealth it creates/generated means to compete we need as much external investment as possible. These tours do us no harm at all.

7.) 28 Jul 2024 13:28:49
I despair E in bridgenorth, are you simply winding us up?

8.) 28 Jul 2024 14:41:09
I've wondered this on more than one occassion Abbeywolf. There is a part of me that sometimes ponders if E's usual Saturday shirt isn't really a bit, well 'baggy'. I'm probably wrong and perhaps he is genuinely is a glass almost empty sort of guy.

Match day.
Sullivan V Fosun 4157 miles away with a convenient 12.00 AM kick off time.
A training and fitness exercise where the result is secondary.
Some first choice players yet to arrive in America so the game will feature squad players who will not play for the clubs again this season but are still being paid a kings ransom.
All yours for £4.99 on the Wolves and West Ham tv channels.
Welcome to the future.
Your support is important to us.

E in Bridgenorth

1.) 27 Jul 2024 14:51:59
Leave it out, it's a friendly tournament in the USA, what time do you expect the KO to be over here?
Yes it's training and fitness, test and trial of systems and positions, if your seriously interested in your club you can stay up, or get on demand at your leisure for what is less than a pint down my way. If not don't, your not obliged. Everything costs money E in Bridgenorth and at least I'm not giving the crisp man anything without choice. I've subscribed to all 3 games because I am interested and I'm sure you'll have something to say after you've seen the result.
Our support is important for OUR club. COYW.

2.) 27 Jul 2024 15:41:44
Yeah it's kinda like they're going by that countries timezone huh?

3.) 27 Jul 2024 16:01:28
£4.99 is not a kings ransom ???

4.) 27 Jul 2024 16:25:57
£11.99 for three games? Luvley jubbly! Gives us fans a chance to view some of the fringe squad and up and coming. Mind you staying awake may be difficult.

5.) 27 Jul 2024 17:03:51
You can get it on demand too 47vintage, watch it whenever if you avoid results.

6.) 27 Jul 2024 17:32:10
Hi Guys,
Just paid the £11.99 for the 3 games. Reasonable price and opportunity to see some of the new players. Never used Wolves TV before. Please excuse my ignorance but how do I go about watching it on demand on my TV? An idiots guide would be appreciated.

7.) 27 Jul 2024 18:19:09
Have you got wolves tv on your smart phone /tablet? If so you can 'mirror' it to your smart tv, or if your on a laptop connect via cable, USB or HDMI lead.
To get on demand select wolves tv and select the game in the menu.
Hope that makes some sense blackfords.
Ps on some phones you need 'smartview' on to mirror, or if chrome cast then 'cast' to tv with tv in 'android home' mode.

8.) 27 Jul 2024 19:05:07
Will be watching today and then I will be at the game on Wednesday. Looking forward to it.

9.) 27 Jul 2024 19:12:23
Hi Abbey,

Thanks

10.) 27 Jul 2024 19:53:18
Blakemore, I've just spotted that the games on amazon prime if you've got it. Dunno if that'd be easier?

11.) 27 Jul 2024 20:39:40
Thanks AbbeyWolf.

12.) 27 Jul 2024 21:05:52
Yes blacksford, go down the app and you'll find the tv/video section. The game will show on it 5-10 minutes before ko. If you want to see it on demand it'll be there on video tomorrow. Good luck.

13.) 27 Jul 2024 22:20:44

Are Fosun here to make money for Wolves or are Wolves here to make money for Fosun?

E in Bridgenorth

1.) 08 Jul 2024 12:50:25
The same isn't it. You make money for Wolves you make money for Fosun?

2.) 08 Jul 2024 13:04:56
Odd question E?.
Surely the answer is obvious, Fosun are not a charity and therefore Wolves will be expected to generate a return for them on the investment they have made.
Fortunately for us though the only way Wolves make a return, (indeed don't lose all of the money that Fosun have already invested), for Fosun is by them being successful
Clearly over the period of the Fosun ownership Wolves have lost millions through the P and L but at the moment it has probably made at least as much if not more in capital appreciation.
All of that capital appreciation disappears overnight however if Wolves are relegated and it is highly likely that underlying losses may also increase as revenue plummets far faster than costs can be brought down.
The disastrous period post Seville, which has caused both the financial and on field performance to stall, has almost washed through.
Next year Silva will leave and Guedes will probably be amortised to a level he can be sold at without a loss. Consequently we should be able to stabilise the finances and continue to build in a sustainable way the on field performance.
It merely requires us to not do anything stupid and short termist this summer and going forwards we can re-emerge from the debacle we have endured due to foolish decisions made post Seville when perhaps Fosun didn't fully understand how the game works. Their actions over the last couple of years indicate that maybe they now do?

3.) 08 Jul 2024 17:00:14
I don't know E. But whatever anyone's thoughts on Fosun and their motive, they have got us promoted, kept us in the Premier League and grown our value from £30m to over £400m. I don't know what their end game is though and I wish Shi would enlighten us fans once in a while

4.) 08 Jul 2024 17:01:01
Is that post seville tfg?

5.) 08 Jul 2024 19:05:26
I thought shi recently sent a letter to fans about fosun’s intentions. Feels like some people want a letter every week to reiterate that they are trying to build a sustainable club. Seems to be working to me, sell one player and buy 4 so far. I don’t understand the fuss being made tbh and not really sure any club has owners who don’t expect some return.

6.) 08 Jul 2024 20:36:11
Frankly if you want anyone to speak on behalf of the club Matt Hobbs would make a better job as he's a much better communicator. At least with Hobbs you get the stuff that we the fans want to know, about the direction they are trying to take the club in. I've not bothered saying anything for quite a while due to my health and not really having to much to say. But I would add that also over the last couple of months there has been a considerable amount of rubbish posted, obviously just my opinion!
It's good to see the direction they are talking, Kilman going was a sensible move. Good feeling, apparently he wanted the move so good for everyone. At least we have got a few signings over the line early and plenty of time to get more particularly in defence. Keeping Neto is vital to our season, if we can keep him for another year, hopefully injury free that would be massive for the club and he would still be worth 60m at the end of it!
Here's to the rest of a good transfer window and you never know we might get Silva out the door and off the books before the end of August!

7.) 08 Jul 2024 22:17:46
I understand that being in the Premier League year on year isn't quite enough for some fans, who expect us to have progressed following our first two illustrious seasons and be pushing for the Champions League by now. But the fact is, it's a MASSIVE achievement (ask the other 72) - and we have it. Plus, with the exception of the season before last, we have never really suffered significant relegation fears.

We were very fortunate after our initial promotion, for a short time we ran before we could walk, and it was wonderful! Since though we, and our owners, have had to knuckle down to the reality and set roots for the long stint. It's a learning process and there have been, and will be more mistakes. For me, it's hard to question Fosun's motives when they are providing a consistent PL berth. Of course we want success, but so does everyone else. It will take time. Even if we never break into the big 6 or 7 but our owners manage to create a sustainable team, ever present and competitive in the PL, with just that chance of a wonder season here and there, then I'd take it all day long.

8.) 09 Jul 2024 20:23:40
Notwithstanding that some feel Fosun are evil I think they are cute. They have made mistakes in the past but love the model they are now working to. You learn from your mistakes. Important that we retain the Hobbs / O’Neil model. Am loving it .

9.) 10 Jul 2024 07:59:46
Not evil but if you search for Fosun/Corrupt there are plenty of stories.

10.) 10 Jul 2024 11:21:44
Fosun have put in much more money than they've got out of it.

11.) 10 Jul 2024 13:06:03
I suspect, E, that the you might find the same applies to many multinational corporations!

£50m plus for Neto and it will be a good summer window for Fosun.
Players come and go and it doesn’t really matter if we don’t know any of the starting 11 for the first match of the season as we will be able to recognise them by their new Sudu shirts.

Don’t forget that Maidenhead get a percentage of the transfer fee and doubt if West Ham have paid cash.

Jeff Shi has told us not to expect consistent European football or trophies Goatmark.
This is whilst selling our high value players and replacing them with no PL experience increasing the entrance prices and going with a shirt supplier that no one has heard of to make even more profit.
This is not in line with our Midland rivals as you suggest.

Kilman played 127 games for Wolves between 2018-2024 going from a £40, 000 player to a £40 million pound player.
Craig Dawson has played 42 games for Wolves so if Kilman can’t play without Dawson has Lopetegui made a mistake and should he have signed Dawson for West Ham?
