AMN deal dead in the water.

Tedski

1.) 30 Aug 2020 16:15:37
Apparently so, Arsenal are offering him a Contract extension and now value him at £25m which Wolves have saud they won't pay.
We're After an Antwerp player now Apparently.

2.) 30 Aug 2020 16:27:30
Course we are.?
Getting to a point where I think we're being told a load of porkys.

3.) 30 Aug 2020 16:33:57
23 year old Aurelio Buta.

4.) 30 Aug 2020 17:07:29
Yeah seems like it apparently if we don’t have a right back by our first game. Who would you play?

5.) 30 Aug 2020 17:53:42
Burr, Traore, Sanderson although not sure if the latter 2 will be upto Premiership just yet.

6.) 30 Aug 2020 18:39:18
To be fair, I'd doubt Aurelio Buta isn't just a name picked out of a hat. I'd say he's been heavily scouted, and look at the gems Wolves have uncovered in the recent seasons.

7.) 30 Aug 2020 18:48:18
If we don't buy anyone I'd give Traore a go behind Podence maybe.

8.) 30 Aug 2020 19:07:39
Buta looks a classic Wolves signing. 23 Portugese, started with Benfica, one year on contract and a regular last season.

Loader deal fell through, typical.

Tedski

1.) 08 Aug 2019 20:28:32
Typical? Reading were demanding too much.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 21:07:36
Having looked at his stats I think we have dodged a bullet there!

3.) 08 Aug 2019 21:17:59
Debbie the deal was agreed they just didn't sign the paperwork to get the deal through. We had ageeed a fee and personal terms with Reading and the player.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 21:19:07
A fee had been agreed, medical done, personal terms sorted, Reading just pulled the plug on the deal.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 21:37:48
And they are going to have a pretty unhappy young man on their books so it could have been counter productive them pulling the plug.

6.) 08 Aug 2019 21:39:36
Reading moved the goalposts by demanding more money for the player. So it's Reading's issue, not Wolves. The old' increase the fee at the last minute trick.

7.) 08 Aug 2019 22:29:02
He was a loader rubbish anyway :P i'll get my coat lol.

8.) 08 Aug 2019 23:13:41
Spiers beat you to it "Reading wanted a Loader more money for the player"

02 May 2019 09:23:54
Seems we are linked to every transfer rumours now, I've a funny feeling some will go first, costa, cav, I think he'll give traore another season, can't wait for business to begin . COYW.

Tedski

1.) 02 May 2019 13:27:24
Time to admit Traore was a mistake, quite happy sitting on the bench, squad players should be trying to force their way into Nuno’s team. if he’s here next season make him buy a season ticket.

2.) 02 May 2019 17:16:00
Wouldn’t of thought he’s happy not playing but if you watch Nuno with him and the way he talks about him he’s probably told him he will work with him over the summer I’m expecting big things from him he can get past players with ease just final product needs working.

3.) 03 May 2019 11:27:17
I'd give him another season see how he gets on.

4.) 03 May 2019 16:14:13
Barcelona don’t make many mistakes when it comes to letting players go, think the only work Nuno does with him will be to help him find another Club.

5.) 03 May 2019 19:20:14
He’s had a full season to be fair, he can beat a man or two but his final ball or decision making just hasn’t improved (in my opinion)

6.) 04 May 2019 08:03:19
Look at Conner coast two seasons ago people were saying get rid
Just give him one more season.

7.) 04 May 2019 13:36:58
The guy couldn't hit a barn door from the penalty spot, reminds me of Atkinbiyi, useless.

8.) 04 May 2019 20:40:43
The same Akinbiyi that scored 16 goals in 37 games for us?

9.) 05 May 2019 08:13:06
Akinbyi?
You are joking of course, a goal every 2 games if I remember right.

10.) 05 May 2019 08:56:35
Although Traore hasn’t set the world alight this year, he still got the winner at West Ham and a couple of crucial assists I remember, without them we wouldn’t be talking about 7th and Europe, so give him another season with Nuno and full pre season.

11.) 05 May 2019 09:18:56
Akinbiyi is the only player I have seen dribble the ball out of play with no one on him. Not once but twice 😀. That boy could hit a ball though, just not dribble. Pity we can't morph him and Traore together.

12.) 05 May 2019 11:55:06
So I guess Traore is this years scapegoat then? Some of you so called fans just can't help yourselves can you? You always need to find a scapegoat regardless of us having a fantastic season.

13.) 05 May 2019 12:25:00
Totally agree give him a chance, I do think Nuno can get a decent player out of him.

14.) 05 May 2019 12:55:56
Traore is not a premier league quality player, all he has is pace and strength he gets into good positions but doesn't then have a final ball or football brain to deliver anything productive, prefer to keep Cav at least he has a goal in him.

15.) 05 May 2019 18:45:53
Pace and strength are a massive thing to have especially in premier league sterling never had a football brain till peps worked with him and look how that’s worked out I believe Nuno will make him a lot better next season.

16.) 05 May 2019 21:48:22
Danny Welbeck is being released by Arsenal. Still only 28, same age as Jimenez. Undoubted skill but injury prone. Could Doctor Nuno work his magic in him. Will be a free transfer.

17.) 06 May 2019 12:50:29
State of the vile fan trolling. It’s going to be funny when Vile make *another* hash of it in the playoff final.

It looks like Nunes doesn't want to be here judging by his performances, waste of a shirt at the moment . Coyw

Tedski

1.) 02 Mar 2023 13:27:53
Agree Tedski.

22 Jan 2023 15:32:26
Just shows how far behind we are, city a different class, in JL I trust, coyw

Tedski

1.) 22 Jan 2023 15:50:29
Especially as they have the ref onside too.

2.) 22 Jan 2023 15:55:59
Yes, but we just gave them the last two goals, all three if you count Collins' non challenge on Haaland.

3.) 22 Jan 2023 15:57:18
There's the difference and a difference in naivity, why do we keep the risky passing around the box. We've given them two goals today, at one nil we could of salvaged something. 3-0 flattered abit, sounded like we were defending relatively well until the pen. Could have been a lot worse, never expected much but at least goal difference keeps us above 'the zone' I think.

4.) 22 Jan 2023 16:05:20
As a PS tho, did Nunes play today? because although I heard he was out there he didn't seem to feature!

5.) 22 Jan 2023 17:12:45
The ref gave them the second goal.

6.) 22 Jan 2023 17:34:22
Neves clipped Gundogan's heel, Handsome.

09 Jan 2023 13:47:52
Why are new signings taking so long?

Tedski

1.) 09 Jan 2023 15:20:03
Why would you think it's so quick and easy, Tedski? We aren't the only club seeking new players and clubs won't generally want to release the quality of player we would be seeking and then, of course, the player has to be convinced to come and fight a relegation battle. We are only 8 days into the window and the January window is notoriously much more difficult than the summer one.

2.) 09 Jan 2023 15:48:10
To answer your question Tedski, fans are kept in the dark until such time as the signing is finalised. We don't know what negotiations are underway or with whom and agents will always try to squeeze the last penny from any agreement which makes the situation a long and arduous one. Plus JL will have his priority signings which may complicate the situation further if they need convincing to move especially when you consider our current league position.

3.) 09 Jan 2023 17:05:01
January signings are always difficult. Chances are most signings will be from over seeas even though we're supposedly looking domestically as well.

We sometimes forget players are human beings with families. Moving abroad with a wife and kids for work isn't straight forward. Kids need to move schools, they may be leaving siblings and parents behind as well as their spouses families and the timing in January might not be ideal for them. alternatively they move early without their families joining them which isn't ideal either.

This is before getting into clubs agreeing fees, players wanting to come to England and be potentially in a relegation fight. Then there's wages and contracts. If only real life were the same as Football Manager.

4.) 09 Jan 2023 19:04:07
Great post Alex.

07 Jan 2023 20:50:57
Collins is the weakest link, what a pass

Tedski

1.) 07 Jan 2023 21:04:20
It was always coming tedski, too much flapping about at the back from the start.

2.) 07 Jan 2023 21:16:12
Shows what I know? I thought offside counted when the initial ball is played regardless? Learn something new everyday.so if your a defender don't bother defending if you think it may be offside!

3.) 07 Jan 2023 21:22:49
I always thought when the ball leaves the opposing players foot, if the opposing striker is behind the defender he is off side

4.) 07 Jan 2023 21:42:45
Mike Dean does it again! You couldn't make it up.

5.) 07 Jan 2023 21:57:14
Apart from that Tedski he was absolutely immense most of the game, that's why he got MOTM in the end.

6.) 07 Jan 2023 22:00:08
Again we suffer to a var (apparently their camera line was no good so the went with linesman? What's the point?) And a ref who can't see fouls on wolves players by a big 6 teams penalty areas. Disgusting officiating. All in all a sloppy game but solid and determined. Lembiski was excellent toti with passion. Should have won.

7.) 07 Jan 2023 22:00:29
Well that was entertaining,
So biased towards Liverpool,
Var isn't telling us why decisions made

8.) 07 Jan 2023 22:11:56
A cracking match.
Unlucky not to win.
Collins other than his mistake with his pass which led to liverpool's first goal was far away our best player tonight I was very impressed with him.
I liked our youth coming into the side very nice to see.
With the anger posters have towards our club it's refreshing to see tonight the fruits of our clubs endeavour.
Lopetegui a world class leader/manager I think we will be fine this season on what I saw this evening.

9.) 07 Jan 2023 22:14:56
As a neutral I think ye got robbed in that second half, not only when it came to goals but several free kicks you should of had but didn’t get, and some in good positions.
The salah goal is a joke, the defender has to play that ball because of salah position so he is effecting the game in an offside position, when the ball leaves the foot of the other player he is offside so for me that’s a free out there and then and whatever comes after shouldn’t come into it.
We had the same thing against city 2 seasons back, I think it was Bernardo silva standing about 15 feet offside and the ball got played over the top, mings tried to get his head to the ball over the top, barely gets a nick on it but it lands straight at silva’s feet and he has an easy 1 on 1 with the keeper, last few mins of the game we lose 2-1. city, united, Liverpool, Chelsea arsenal will all get these calls against teams like us, total crap.

10.) 07 Jan 2023 22:31:35
If we can tighten up the passing we'll be fine phil. Maybe it was me but the ball and pitch seemed abit 'slippy' tonight. Great entertainment eventually spoilt by the ref/var, apparently the taker off the corner had come back from an offside position. How when he's played the ball can he go anywhere but back, excuses excuses. By the same ends salads goal was offside before toti touched the ball, what a mess up.

11.) 07 Jan 2023 22:33:49
A very good performance I thought considering that was about their best team. There were mistakes but that's football. Apparently the offside was against Nunes but VAR had no camera angle so had to go with the assistants decision. As he was a tit surely that's enough for him to be overruled. I'm certain it says that in the rules! More than that he was a prat as well.
Ah well we do it again but hey JL has got a performance from them they are getting better by the game. Great to see and bodes well for the rest of the season. It also got game time for players that don't usually get starts. All in all a decent nights work and I enjoyed it very much!.

12.) 07 Jan 2023 22:53:12
Agree Abbey we put ourselves in danger too many times with stray passing out the back.
I feel lopetegui has made a huge difference we only going to get better.
Good times are ahead I believe.
