Hi all, would anyone take Regullion (spelling) on loan for the season as cover for RAN? He’s available from spurs

On a free and subject to wages yes.
He is v good going forwards but has missed a lot of football over the past few years and hasn't managed to hold down a place anywhere for a few years now for some reason?
Is he v poor defensively or not a good human?
We need several experienced quality players in but have one assumes a modest budget - wages and fees - so this sort of option should be seriously looked at.
I and others have also mentioned Maguire of MU either on loan or a modest fee (£15m top) fee although wages may well be a problem

If we can’t afford the wages, would there be an option for the selling club to pay a percentage? Personally I don’t think Maguire would move to Wolves anyway. I think he believes he is better than our level.

Maybe Willenhall but it's also an opportunity to be a big fish in a smaller pond. I've got an open mind on him, I think the media like to have heroes and villains, maguire leans towards villain at times.

We already had cover for ran and loaned him out so why bring in another nobody.and magiure.teally.he wouldn't go to whu so y would u think he'd ever cum2us when wev just sold kilman 2them?
We get to this position every ssn.the manager whom ever it may be sez the club are doing all it can to make things happen and nothing ever does.a few hopeful signings earlydoors then nothing until deadlineday when we sign a 3rd rate nobody from Lens youth team.and we start the new ssn with virtually the same side that we had last ssn.only weaker.if anybody is happy with the ins and outs upto now go and bury your body along with your head

Not sure that I agree Buxwolf. We signed Lemina and initially no one was overwhelmed. We signed Gomes and initially no one was overwhelmed. We signed RAN and Dawson etc etc. New signings need some time to prove themselves so let's give them some support and judge them later.

Also we need to understand that bueno needed playing time to improve, as Hobbs said he wouldn’t get enough if he was just back up to Ran so he went out on loan. Sounds like a good plan to me tbh.

I totally agree Buxwolf. Wolves are now very much a selling club as GON admits after his recent Cunha comments. Sure Wolves will continue to find some quality but for resale, not taking the club forward. Think Fosun will try to keep Wolves in the Premier to protect their investment but beyond that I don’t believe the ambition is there any more.

That's fair comment goatmark but if RAN gets injured for a month or so tomorrow what would Buenos loan do for us?

If’s and but’s Abbeywolf, what if Ran doesn’t get injured and bueno sits on the bench all season. What would that do for us, his value, his confidence etc. I think the club can only do what feels right in the moment and that was what they deemed. Feels like they will get criticised whatever they choose to do, even if it all goes well. I’d be hopeful that they get in some experienced cover in defence but I guess doc qualifies as that in their eyes. Plus can’t Semedo cover on the left too? And what about lembiska (if he’s still with us of course) as some new blood coming through. Feels like he would happily be back up where as bueno is further along and needs to play regularly.

Assume Doherty will be starting the first three games with Semedo suspended. Hoever appears to be on the way out of the club. Often wondered if it’s an attitude problem with him as he seems a talented player.

Your correct of course wandering, but how old Doc now? and he might be occupied on the right as 47vin points out. Toti has filled at left before but he's more likely to be needed in a CB roll if others out. It's not an ideal situation and the words of good intent and working hard etc sound very familiar. There's still a week plus so we'll see bit it's not an ideal way to start a season in which we're simply going to do our best!.
