Ive just read this statement on Molineux News. 'It was the first time Wolves had ever won away at the Blues in their history, with Matheus Cunha grabbing a hat-trick for the visitors' I didn't realise our history only started in the mid 1970s.

Yes.I saw that somewhere

1st time in the prem league I assume they meant eastmids. For some top flight football didn't exist before. Black and white highlights from the dark ages don't count.

GON and Wolves receiving a lot of media attention at the moment and rightly so. GON because he's a young English manager who reads the game so we'll and gets his message across to his players who to their credit are listening.

The players seem inspired by his words and are currently breaking various records and statistics. Adam Bate of Sky Sports has just posted an excellent piece on Wolves and the impact GON has had.

Obviously, he has lavished praise on Hwang, Neto and Cunha and coined a superb phrase to describe the latter prior to his time under GON. "A scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer". That would fit Neves also of course.

However, both Cunha and Hwang have become more prolific and Neto has 8 assists and several goals all under GON's guidance and tactics. So up to 10th now and given our momentum can we mention the 'E' word now, probably, but given our starting point this season I'd be happy with a top half finish as normal service is being resumed.

Longmynd the "E" word, that scary thing that can make or maybe it can't make! I guess it's there to be grabbed but I'm not sure about it. Look what it's done for Newcastle this season though who could have foreseen their potholes! A terrible run of injuries you couldn't bet on though maybe Tonali did, but that's another story. What it does show is that our squad is not Europe ready. I'm sure the players would be up for it but would GON atm? If we did qualify what do you do, hope Neto stays to keep what we have but be limited in how many players we can bring in? Sell Neto to fund a squad for Europe then have the risk of losing the togetherness we've got?
I'm glad I don't have to deal with all that crap, as they say above my pay grade. It'll be typically for us Wolves fans, a bit of a ride. We will see how it plays out!

In all truth it's a top half finish we need this season, face neto leaving and hope we can spend to reinforce. Maybe then we can start looking towards continental competition. I'd love to win the FA cup though, it'd be a fitting end for any leaving us this season and give us a bounce club wise. As you say Ken, we will see how it goes.

Jen I think the E job will go to Klopp if he doesn't get the Germany gig after the Euros, he is the right age, knows English football well and is acclimatised to the game in the EPL and UCL.

Regarding victories at Stamford Bridge I was there in 1960, a week before the cup final. The great Jimmy Greaves put Chelsea 1 up in the first few minutes but Wolves then scored 5! A bright sunny day, I remember it well. Also there in 1979 for a 2-1 victory. It was a midweek game.

Hmm the peeps at Castore apparently think that Pink is Beetroot Purple. No wonder our Old Gold shirts are becoming more Burnt Lemon by the season. ?

No one has seen much. We've not really had a chance however he has scored 3 for us in less than 2 1/2 hours of game time, which isn't a bad return.

Don't think we can afford his wages.

Already started Blackford? I seem to remember Arsenal were supposedly interested during all of the transfer window just passed. So hardly surprising he's being linked again after his start of the season.

Totally agree Deep, names would be being mentioned, not countries. Also, if Fosun were to sell up its not going to be done in a week or two either. If/Once they find a buyer it'll then have to be passed as a fit and proper person by the premier league.

Why not go the whole hog and rest all the 1st team if the Filham match is of so little importance! ?

Not that it means much, but on Premirr League Fantasy Football site, it says at the moment that it's a 75% chance of him playing. Does also say hamstring injury.

I'm not sure I follow you Phil789. If we won 5 0. Our good would be +4, Brighton's would be 0?

Considering he still has 4 years on his contract I reckon £30m would buy around 2 thirds of him. I'm ignoring this as clickbait.
