I see we are being linked with Che Adams again. I am not a fan, he just doesn't score enough goals full stop.
Now to help us get out of the Championship, what about Ollie McBurnie at Hull? He scored 14 goals this season.
He is a bruiser, holds the ball up well and a good foil for Armstrong and Mane if he stays. Would cost £7/8 million.

I get what you're saying, but Hull would want stupid money for McBurnie, and Wolves could easily get nothing out of him - he's that type. I've always liked Che Adams. Powerful striker who is more mobile across the forward lines. He's not prolific, but if he was, Wolves wouldn't get a sniff, and he would cost too much anyway.
Wolves need a full rebuild, which means lots of players. I think the club will get a few 'champagne' signings, but they also need squad depth.
Hopefully Wolves will go back square one with buying players. How they did things before they gave too much power to the two pillocks: Pereira and Teti.
2.) 08 May 2026 15:40:07
RE stated it's not his fault we are relegated.
WTF, who's fault is it then? It's got to be.
Mostly his fault, surely.
3.) 08 May 2026 16:16:19
It is not Rob Edwards's fault. Fosun, Jeff Shi, Vitor Pereira and Domenico Teti are to blame. That second hand car dealer, VP, is a disgrace. Muppets like that need to be driven out of the game. He's had more clubs than I've had hot dinners. He turns up, f***s everything up, then buggers off with £2 million in his back burner.
I don't think Rob Edwards is a Premier League coach, but he has to be given a chance with a better team.
I've been wrong about things I've said. The reality is the Wolves team is s*** in the extreme. It's a team filled with garbage, chancers and cowards. At least Wolves look like they're acting quickly to get players out of the club. Sooner the better.
4.) 08 May 2026 18:15:02
Not sure about McBurnie. Feel like he's only improved recently to try to get in the Scotland squad.
But, talking of Hull, they seemed to do quite well this season after signing a load of players on the cheap or free.
Something to be said for signing experienced players in the champ. Hopefully we can take note and sign a few tried and tested players nearing the end of their careers, as well as a few up and coming imports as we have previously.

14 goals... You need defenders who score 14 goals in the Championship, let alone a fwd. We don't know how to score, and we need to score at least 80 goals next ssn. So, who exactly is going to score them? With no goalscoring players coming in, we go down again. s.a.t. ?

It's being reported that Real Madrid stars are having slanging matches with each other and even punch ups! Rudiger vs Carreras and staff members.
So if the elite can do it, what's the issue with other mortals doing it like Tolu and Mane? lol

Tommy Doyle has returned from his loan with the Blue Noses.
Great pity he can't play in the last 3 games as he is better than A Gomes.

With Fosuns;s publicised financial problems, I wonder if WWFC is up for sale?
1.) 26 Oct 2022 18:49:53
I have heard that we are and it’s very much true but I guess we shall wait and see.

Hi everyone, new poster here, though I've been lurking for ages!
Quite honestly I'd be happy for Wolves to be sold to a Todd Boehly type of owner at this point.
We need someone with an ego, who wants "his" team to be one of the best, and is prepared to invest substantial sums of money on an annual basis, into the team, manager, and overall structure including rebuilding the stadium.
I'm Wolverhampton born and bred, but live in the U.S. now, and there's plenty of the Boehly type over here, though I accept American owners are not overly popular.
{Ed014's Note - welcome aboard mate, enjoy the banter.
3.) 26 Oct 2022 19:42:06
See above - we can only hope!
4.) 26 Oct 2022 20:17:35
Welcome to the site NoCrysis, love the handle albeit a little ironic, lol. You're quite right we need people who understand sports clubs if Fosun do decide to sell.
vbwolf that story probably came from the fact that Fosun is trying to sell everything with liquidity to raise money to service its debts. The sale of Wolves wouldn't even scratch the surface of those, but every little helps.

I'm not sure they truly get the idea of relegation in the US. It's not something found in the NFL, a franchise has to make money. We all know English football outside the top 6 just isn't like that so for me I'ld rather not go down that route unless we are facing an existential threat.
22 May 2026 14:01:08
Hwang would go well with Andre, who has just signed a new 4 year deal!
That's a great bonus for us in the Championship. It shows Fosun's intent.

Hi, Madman, interesting thread, but I think you have missed a few off your sell list:
Tchatchoua
Santiago Bueno
Mane (his head's been turned by R Martinez, Portugal manager).
R Gomez?
The first 2 will go. Mane, as I said, has had his head turned, and R Gomez I am not too sure about.
We need THAT QUESTION answered by each player - do you want to stay or go?
The list above could add another £75 million to your war chest.
I agree, £80M would do it on experienced Championship players, plus a few loanees.
See if tonight's WM Forum clears the air or not.

I would ignore it, as it does not comply. He resigned his post on 19th December 2025.
I want him gone as much as any Wolves fan, but I do not believe this to be correct.

Totally agree he has done nothing but prove he is out of his depth and was easily led by Mendes to put us in the same financial mess he got the Chinese owner of Valencia into.
Guangchang this is a massive mistake you have made and it will affect the value of the club regardless of the fire sale to improve the balance sheet. A club devalues automatically he gets relegated

The only sensible question Gobby is define a big club based on achievements? Which puts us well and truly in there. Fact.
Standard of Breakfast Talksport has dropped because they cannot get quality pundits.
One final question for GAbby - where do you find Everest? (The infamous quiz question he was asked on Talksport - he said the Alps)
That says it all

Sorry, do not agree with Middlesbrough being in the final at all. They completely outplayed Soton in the first leg, but their strikers blew every chance - that's a fact. So, whatever spying Soton did backfired.
Then Middlesbrough lost the second leg, which was all on the level, so why should the losers suddenly get a tilt at the £200 million prize when they weren't good enough?

RE keeps saying a lot of hard work has taken place since January for next season.
Can he be clear on what exactly he is referring to? All I can see is they bought Armstrong for next season and that's it.
Please explain concisely and clearly so all fans understand.
09 May 2026 23:16:03
I've been watching Wolves as long as you have, and thought I'd experienced it all, but I can't help that this was so avoidable. For Fosun to buy the club, and put serious investment in, then leave a complete clown and control freak in charge, is breathtakingly bad.
I am hoping (forlorn hope?) that the WM forum on Tuesday evening will give us some confidence on the way forward for next season, so far it's the only hope we have.
08 May 2026 13:37:53
Wh is cheating? Belongs to another thread, perhaps?
08 May 2026 09:55:39
I for one want to hear what Shi/Jackson & Re have to say at the fans forum on WM this Tuesday. I believe telling questions will be asked of the 3.
Until then, you can speculate all you like, but we may at least be clearer on the way forward to next season.
Oh, and to the fan who said hire Daniel Levy (really??) he still has a part ownership of Spurs, so thank God, he can't come near a second UK club.
