If this is true, then he sounds like a right idiot and we don’t need this sort of drama. If it’s not true, I guess we’ll find out if the deal happens or not.

Regardless. I reckon it’s time to walk away. It’s clear he doesn’t want to come to the club, why keep chasing him. If he’s got no heart, no wish to be here, how good is he going to be? Another Guedes, another Cutrone? Pay all that money out for a player whose attitude will show every time he wears the shirt. We want players who want to be here, who want to wear the shirt, not just sign to boost their bank account

Perhaps the question should be why?
Why do so many players not want to join Wolves?
Also why, according to some of the posters on here at least, so many of the squad want to leave?
If Wolves want to attract quality players, players that other sides would want as well, then that problem has to be solved.
It surely isn't as simple as wages as many of the players declining to join would almost certainly be seeing their wages sky rocket upon signing for Wolves.
It would be facile to say the Wolverhampton is not as pretty as the South Coast or as exciting as London as footballers are so wealthy they can live in the most attractive places an area has to offer and travel as often and as far as they like for their downtime.
No the problems are clearly far more complex than that.
The turnstile of managers can't help, the reality that they wold be joining a team that is almost certainly going to lose most matches, that they would be playing with a number of sub standard players who would make them look bad - several posters on here criticised RAN for occasionally losing possession when Toti dumped him a hospital pass rather than praising his brilliance at not losing it most of the time etc etc etc.
Sadly it is a vicious circle that only has one end.
So don't give up on the players, back the manager and build a team.
This requires the club of course to be financially able to compete with the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton, Everton, Brentford, etc etc etc, which quite conveniently leads us to the real problem!

Future. Spot on, exactly the situation!

This reads a bit like the Yuri Alberto saga a few years ago. On that occasion, Wolves had agreed a price with Corinthians, salary with the player himself and had the medical all booked in. The agent then insisted on Wolves doubling their payment to him (agent) which Wolves refused to do as an agreement had already been reached.
The agent rejected the terms and conditions on his players behalf which resulted in the player sacking his agent and the move falling through.
The bottom line is that Getafe need to sell or the club is facing financial ruin. The player has agreed terms as have the 2 clubs. Uches agent has an issue with Mendes involvement but this is HIS issue as Getafe, Wolves and The player himself were happy for Mendes to be the intermediary. The fact is that Uches agent wants the full 10% commission whereas it was agreed that Mendes would have 4% and Uches agent 6%. It seems that the move has stalled due to Uches agents greed.

When we was in the Championship we got a good manager in and managed to attract good players. They would have been sold the project of we are going to the prem and we will compete and eventually break into the top 6. Then fast forward to during covid and that project changed to a less ambitious project. Players would have seen our decline and watched some top players leave due to this reason of no ambition. We have had a few top players here and there since but all have wanted to leave for the reason of no ambition at the club. If the club made some good signings and presented a project of we are going to compete and not just float around relegation then you would see some good players take a chance. Any player looking at Wolves are going to see the club has been fighting relegation for the last few seasons and all the good players keep leaving. Even the newly promoted teams will likely seem more exciting to join over us.

I think HTP has a point, we do seem to be linked with more players lately who appear to have attitude issues than we did previously.

I'm convinced the issue is actually exaggerated by the sheer number of social media platforms and the users who trawl the internet from their bedrooms and report ambiguous findings as fact. They actually make a living doing it funded by advertisements.
We hear about every last tentative enquiry now and treat it as a failed transfer bid, player rejection or a transfer request.
People are so used to ordering with same or next day delivery that they assume transfer negotiations work the same way, just offer club and player 10% over the odds and it's a done deal, it's so much more complex than that and takes SO much more time. This is my concern about selling Larsen (or any other key player) this late in the transfer window!
