plymouth or liverpool away in next round of cup it is then.

Rated RKO

1.) 09 Jan 2017 20:00:25
Great draw as long as Liverpool get through and tv don't mess with it. 9000, Wolves! AWESOME!

2.) 09 Jan 2017 20:10:47
Plymouth want to beat Liverpool and since they are putting out their youth team again I heavily doubt it will be easy for them, but since Liverpool are so weak with their youth team I believe they will slip up and go out of the cup. Meaning we will beat Plymouth and move into the 5th round. COME ON YOU WOLVES

3.) 10 Jan 2017 12:38:32
On the evidence of the last game I doubt that. 28 shots to 4, 18 corners to 0 and 77% procession to 23%. All Plymouth did was stop Liverpool scoring and they were jammy b*****ds at that. Plus they cost me £100 on my accumulator. Not that annoyed about it.

4.) 10 Jan 2017 14:58:19
Plymouth to win on penalties, after another 0-0 draw! BEAUTIFUL!

5.) 11 Jan 2017 10:06:59
Do we really want Plymouth away?

Let's face it, we're not going to win the FA Cup. So let's hope for a game at Anfield whether it's an Ojo- or Coutinho-flavoured team they put out. That's what we're aiming for next season, right?

6.) 13 Jan 2017 17:28:32
Do we really want Plymouth away now the game has been selected for BT Sport's televised lunchtime game - getting to Plymouth for 12.15 KO would be a mission, 3pm is bad enough

Can't find anything on this anywhere so hoping someone here knows, a friend has told me Wolves have made a bid for Nathan Baker from villa.

Rated RKO

1.) 05 Jan 2017 09:02:13
Maybe that's the defender everyone is talking about.

2.) 05 Jan 2017 11:27:59
No idea if the rumours are true, but a few of my Villa mates have been telling me how much better they are with Baker in the team. I think he'd be a good addition!

3.) 05 Jan 2017 12:00:23
No one from villa would be a good addition.

4.) 05 Jan 2017 14:49:38
They're above us in table DerbyWolf, which would suggest otherwise!

Heard a rumour Zenga is on his last chance Saturday is do or die for him.
I'm hoping it's not true can anyone confirm it?

Rated RKO

1.) 19 Oct 2016 16:40:33
The rumour is we need to be in the top six before Christmas. Hope we hang on to him, the style of playing isn't the problem, its more the quality of players. We have spent big money on average players, who are no better than the ones we already have.

2.) 19 Oct 2016 16:55:24
The problem is'as has been for while now, sub standard defending'whether WZ stays or goes, money needs to be spent on that area more than any other.

3.) 19 Oct 2016 17:42:05
How the bloody hell can u say wenga getting the boot that u hope its not true. the bloke is a flaming clown.

4.) 19 Oct 2016 17:43:11
Spend money my arse. wots steve bruce spent. exactly.

5.) 19 Oct 2016 20:34:23
Trying to stay positive but if the results tonight stay as they are at the mo` Fosun will not be happy. Could be bye bye Walter by the end of month.

6.) 20 Oct 2016 10:55:45
Who else is there at the moment @Demon? only one I can think who may turn us around if Zenga does get the boot is Pearson possibly, I would say big Sam but I think he is finished in football now.

7.) 20 Oct 2016 12:40:35
It will be Marco Silva, and I reckon very soon. Just my opinion.

8.) 20 Oct 2016 15:19:43
Not a bad shout @paul mate.

9.) 20 Oct 2016 16:31:23
Gary Rowett for me. He would unquestionably get Wolves promotion. Unfortunately, it will be a Portuguese or European man that likes being bought the toys, as apposed to a manager who likes buying the toys (like Rowett) . Same equation for big Sam - he just doesn't fit into the new regime of 'working with the toys' Daddy Jeff finds them.

10.) 20 Oct 2016 17:43:19
We've got an agent pulling the strings and who do you think his main interest is? Himself or wolves? Our whole running of the club has changed and it won't work, who is going to want to come in and be dictated to by an agent?

11.) 20 Oct 2016 22:58:56
Oh how people who wanted Steve Morgan out have changed their tune.

12.) 20 Oct 2016 23:13:54
That's what l was trying to say. Europeans don't mind the agent thing as much as the British and I personally can't see Wolves appointing a British manager again with Mendes in full flow. Wish people would stop mentioning Big Sam and co, 'cos it ain't going to happen over the next 5 years at least.

The Mendes thing might ware off eventually, after he's offloaded all of his clients onto us. In the meantime I would get used to European managers, players and staff ONLY.

13.) 21 Oct 2016 09:16:23
Also get used to a bunch of players who's hearts are really in it, who are here to try and get a move somewhere else as soon as possible.

14.) 21 Oct 2016 09:23:17
all the experts out again, stating it'll never work. What will never work is pleasing wolves fans. moaned when we were owned by morgan, moaned when we were up for sale and still moaning that we have rich owners . it'll never work. sounds like your grand parents and the www or Peter Kaye 'garlic bread'. it'll never work LOL Relax and enjoy the bumpy ride.

15.) 21 Oct 2016 10:18:28
Its annoying watching the club being run that makes no sense. Its simply, get a manager whos been there and done it i.e McCarthy, Bruce and get them the resources to build a team. Or we can stick to what were doing now and win 1 draw 1 and lose 1 all season and the next. Yeah sounds great!

16.) 21 Oct 2016 10:30:44
Your right Ajwolf, relax and enjoy the bumpy ride, but the way it's going I'm going to be doing that from the boozer instead of traipsing round the country!

17.) 21 Oct 2016 12:43:27
Most sensible option = McCarthy, B Sam, Rowett, Pearson, Bruce, etc, etc with a budget of £25 million max on a two year plan with NO interference from the board. Our option = New coach every six months working with players found for him, ££££££ spent year in, year out probably taking 5 years achieving promotion. Typical Wolves.

18.) 21 Oct 2016 14:54:01
Couldn't agree more wavidsmith.

19.) 21 Oct 2016 17:34:32
Big Sam. Is the man.

20.) 21 Oct 2016 18:59:01
Big Sam. Won't be the man.

21.) 22 Oct 2016 04:01:25
Big Sam ain't s**t.

22.) 23 Oct 2016 14:05:22
I've said all summer we need someone like Crouchy up top, experianced striker with an eye for goal, not getting much time at Stoke. Would be my choice up top.

1.) 14 Oct 2016 14:02:42
As Fosun have said already, they ain't here to play games, this could be a huge step forward for the club's move towards becoming a world wide brand'as long as the football is a winning brand and the team is progressing, it could bode well, let's just hope Jeff has his eye on the ball and acts if things look like they are falling apart on the football side.

2.) 14 Oct 2016 15:41:03
I agree Jimmyjones, Fosum won't mess around I think if things slide too much they will pull the trigger on Zenga i'm hoping Zenga can start getting some good runs together as I like him as a manager and he comes across as genuine, but nice guys don't always survive in the world of football.

Former England and Wolves manager Graham Taylor has sadly passed away at 72 full story on bbc sport website.

Rated RKO

1.) 12 Jan 2017 14:48:17
I for one am grateful for the things he did at our club. It was him who got us off the car park and onto proper training pitches. He set up the youth system which produced Robbie Keane, Lescott, Murray etc and he also signed my favourite ever player. John De Wolf. Ultimately football is a results business and his hands were tied by having Stowell, Masters, Thomas, Froggatt, Daley and Bully out for a long period at the same time. Had they stayed fit, we'd have been promoted. RIP.

{Ed001's Note - he was such a genuinely nice guy, it is a sad loss.}

2.) 12 Jan 2017 15:13:36
Totally agree JasM. 😉

3.) 12 Jan 2017 15:15:09
Sad to see him die so young. Some top managers are still working at that age. Yes, he might not have got us promoted but he found some memorable players for us.

4.) 12 Jan 2017 15:22:15
He didn't get enough time at the mol, saturday should be a fitting tribute to him/

5.) 12 Jan 2017 16:46:22
I met him outside the ground years ago when Geoff Thomas was riding around on the bike with no tyres. I met the whole team after training and spoke to Taylor who was frustrated as the medical team had told him that the defender he was trying to sign had an injury preventing him from ever playing at the highest level. Turns out it was Ronny Johnsen who signed for Man Utd a year later and won the European Cup in 1999.

6.) 12 Jan 2017 21:02:02
Rip GTC

Can I just add Jason M. You are incorrect, wolves were training at pretty decent facilities way before Taylor arrived at Wolves. I can assure you on this as I was there training at the above facilities!

He did do a decent job with setting up the academy, even if he did spend very little time on the training pitches

7.) 13 Jan 2017 11:18:45
I remember chatting to a lady in the ticket office the day that Graham Taylor was sacked - she was in tears and said he was a lovely, lovely gentleman . The rest of us can only aspire as such.

03 Jan 2017 21:23:13
All those saying Fosum won't spend or slating us going for youngsters wind your necks in and hae a reality check will you.
Just because we're signing a 16 year old for the future it doesn't mean that funds aren't available and that we aren't trying. You should all know the score by now Wolves keep things hush hush until the players sign.
We are right not to spend spend spend Portsmouth is a perfect example of what can happen, so chill out and wait and see what happens.

Well apparently we can't afford 4mil for a player atm because we've got to many players.

2.) 03 Jan 2017 21:55:32
Well put mate.

3.) 03 Jan 2017 22:48:54
Why look back on past players we have quality already in Sakos position we don't need him, no sensible business would spend to get cover on a area they already have well covered.
We do have too many players, we are just going to have to be patient I mean we've been patient for years now another one isn't going to hurt.
Fosum made mistakes and they are learning from them, we all need to learn when we start a new job afterall.

23 Dec 2016 20:54:49
So much for bug Sam not wanting to be back in football yet when he allegedly got approached by wolves.
The money grabbing lout has just took the manager role at west ham.

Rated RKO

1.) 23 Dec 2016 21:19:50
Allardyce always said he was not coming back into management until after Christmas. Therefore he was not available when we were looking for a manager. Currently, we do not have a vacancy, so I struggle to understand your point.

2.) 23 Dec 2016 21:27:13
He was manager at West Ham a while back. He has just been appointed manager at Crystal Palace. Slaven Bilić is the current manager at West Ham. Sam Allardyce is also usually referred to as 'Big Sam' not 'Bug Sam'. Just a few facts to put the record straight. :-)

3.) 24 Dec 2016 00:31:10
He is bug sam lol it was supposed to be big sam but i'm using a tablet so no need to spiill your sherry dear chap.
The article I read said West ham but they have changed it to Crystal palace so you are correct there have yourself another mince pie as a reward.
He took the job today so technically it's before Christmas but would you trust him now?
Anyway my sherry and mince pie comments were meant in humour have a great Christmas :) hopefully we'll have a better second half of season too.

4.) 24 Dec 2016 09:24:49
Good response RKO. I do understand the problem with tablets. Personally, I would like to see the return of semaphore or the aldis lamp.

"Spill my sherry" good god man that is a court martial offence!

To answer your question. I understand your point, but he is free to do what he wants jobwise. I certainly don't feel any resentment towards him wanting to go to a premiership club with a higher salary etc.

My comments were meant 'tongue in cheek' and I hope that you and all who use this site have a really good Festive Season. :-)

Quite happy with the line up
1 Ikeme
18 Iorfa
6 Batth
5 Stearman
2 Doherty
4 Edwards
27 Saiss
16 Coady
17 Costa
9 Dicko
50 Cavaleiro.

Rated RKO

1.) 01 Dec 2016 20:51:10
Playing 10 men will show whether or not we can pass the ball. Evidence up to half time is saying we can't. This I said where shortcomings of Edwards and Coady are totally exposed. Both incapable of playing any progressive passes from midfield. Saison has that ability and Price would be better option.
Second half will tell us a great deal and Lambert should gain a real insight into his players.

2.) 01 Dec 2016 21:47:15
At last a win. the team have to stay together, fight for one another and keep winning. It helps playing against 10 from the 34th min. 😉.

3.) 01 Dec 2016 21:52:37
Please, please, please Mr Lambert don't be fooled by the result or fact Edwards scored again and ran around a lot. Unless he can be deployed as a number 10 can't afford to play a middle three with two who can't pass a ball. Frightening how poor our midfield is. If not for Costa we would have lost that game even against 10 men. Only other players making meaningful ventures forward were out fullbacks. Two yards passes with the destination debatable was all Saville contributed. Need a massive clear out in January, if not permanent then we should pay part of wages to get them out to L1 or L2.

4.) 01 Dec 2016 23:58:18
TBF Edwards is our top scorer this season, not many goals I know but still.

5.) 02 Dec 2016 11:33:55
Not nit picking but isn't Costa a goal ahead. still not many. Edwards is playing for a new contract but is he what we need or want? Yes he gets 6-8 goals a season but is that enough from a number 10 role? Yes he does some defensive work but if we had quality CM we could have a better return from a better no10. So contract wise, I would but not one of the norm 4-5 years that have been handed to Gladon et all.

28 Nov 2016 23:07:31
Frimpong will be signing in January.

Skrry I had too :P.

1.) 29 Nov 2016 11:13:45
All the players need to take a hard look at themselves in the mirror and find some balls, take responsibility and go out and play with some passion! What they don't need to do is run scared avoid taking responsibility and play like idiots! The only thing that should be in their minds is winning and getting the ball back when they've lost it. Sort themselves out. If they don't then they should definitely GO. We don't need chickens an slackers.

JFDI. or go. 😉.

2.) 29 Nov 2016 14:10:15
well said wolvescoast. I would recommend wolves do some soul searching and stop saying things that are not coherent with what they are actually doing on or off the pitch.

3.) 29 Nov 2016 17:49:11
Dead on her! 😉.

4.) 29 Nov 2016 17:49:58
Dead on Gee 😉 Not her, sorry!

5.) 29 Nov 2016 18:08:35
Guys I agree! They should also stop all this talking, I mean actually STOP talking to the press and just play. I am fed up reading about no more excuses or we can't blame anyone else or this or that! I remember the playoff season and the playoffs Dave Jones banned all players from talking to the press and focus on the games. I am sure we can turn it around and we have to keep together - wow I am now sounding like one of the players! I need a drink.

6.) 30 Nov 2016 10:19:17
They should ban our players from talking to press, with there comments e. g. Edwards, Price, Bathe etc as they keep coming out with same silly comments of which they keep saying, they are convinced that the team will get it right, when in truth we all now they are awful and keep making same mistake after mistake, common sense tells you nearly all those players out there Saturday was not good enough under Jackette and even with Sako, Afobe and a fit Dicho then, we still missed out on playoffs because we needed strengthening then and didn't do it, so what happens Afobe, Sako leave and we have not replaced there goalscoring at that time to this day, that's without the strengthening of other positions we needed then.
Just hope Lambert can sort it out, firstly get we up the table because there is no room for any more mistakes, the stats don't lie and they tell me we are in a relegation battle.

Not shown ambition pull your head out mate seriously Fosun spent £14million in the summer on players most which haven't worked out sadly but they are learning from their mistakes we also have ffp rules to contend with too.
I don't think we'll see much activity in the Jan transfer window but I suspect come Summer there will be a lot of incomings and outgoings with some serious cash spent.
We could of spent a billion quid and you'd still moan no matter who our owner or manager is you always moan maybe you should go support Chelsea or something?
I can understand peoples frustration but we have to be patient.
You could always try to buy Wolves yourself though. oh wait.
Let Lambert and fosun do their job I have a good feeling about this combo.

Next people will be demanding Fletcher, Kightly back too.
We need to move forwards not backwards and personally I think Zyro and Graham have potential to be far better than Sako, plus Sako didn't cut it at a higher level either.
Give the guy his credit he stuck with us when we were in league 1 but demanded silly money when his contract was up for renewal.
Do we want him back? maybe
Do we need him? no
So why waste money on something we don't need, i've seen people on here moan about the midfield not feeding the strikers, Wolves go for some midfielders people still moan maybe they'd be better of supporting Chelsea.
