At the end of the next 4 games will see us 3 points clear of 2nd place and 6 points clear of 3rd place, we have by far the most difficult games left this season which will take its toll. Anyone who thinks we will be promoted by Easter are deluded, we have been here before and there is nothing I've seen that tells me this season will be any different, 90 points will probably see promotion achieved however we are a long way from 90 points.

22 Feb 2018 13:49:40
Have faith Perton got a sneaky feeling we'll get something at Fulham.
Our home games,
Reading 3pts.
Burton 3pts.
Blues 3pts.
Derby 3 pts.
Sheff Wed 3pts.
Sure there is one I've missed, but the home games alone should nearly be enough.
In hindsight that point last night wasn't too bad, Norwich are no mugs.

GodBless 😀🐺🙏.

22 Feb 2018 14:18:27
We dropped points with a last minute goal all the doom and gloomers are out! Guys we are 13 points clear of 2nd, with our goal difference it's like an extra point that's five games difference with only 13 to go! We have lost 4 games all season keep the faith!

22 Feb 2018 15:12:24
13 points clear of 3rd. But yes, if we don't get promoted now then we've just been lucky so far. Which I don't believe.

22 Feb 2018 15:19:55
Well said Wolvessay, I came out the ground dispondant last night, but let's all step back and look what this great club has achieved this season, let's remember most of our players ain't used to playing 46 games plus cup games.
The club need us now more than ever, no doubt there will be further losses, but no way will Nuno let this slip now, forget 2nd we're 13 pts clear of 3rd.

GodBless 😀🐺🙏.

21 Feb 2018 23:33:17
Taxi for Ruddy! Must have been the only one in the ground who didn’t see it coming.

22 Feb 2018 12:59:06
I agree get Norris in goal!

22 Feb 2018 16:37:46
Yeah good shout ruddy and norris in goal.

17 Feb 2018 21:48:13
What is the big issue regarding Jorge Mendes and wolves connection?
I'm reading wolves are in the spot light over Jorge Mendes influence over wolves? So what if there is or isn't if the case maybe.
As far as I was aware a football club is free to have the assistance of whoever they want if they decide to do so.

Would the FA etc be bothered with us if we were bottom of the table? I doubt it.
We have signed well in the summer and doing well this season and really could do without the pathetic rubbish being printed by the media.

Just because we are the best in the championship, we have created much envy.

Great agent and great players signed in.

We R Wolves, watch this space.

18 Feb 2018 00:45:51
the story boils down to, the Mendez link was ok’d before, when going to prem it’s standard procedure for FA to review new teams. Basically they had nothing to write about so made some click bait article.

18 Feb 2018 20:13:37
Look on the FA website for teams gaining promotion to the Premier league it's routine.

19 Feb 2018 11:19:56
Its the Mail reporter taking his anti Wolves stance to fill his column with words.
You notice he does not state any rule has been broken.

15 Feb 2018 14:46:48
Does anyone know what has happened to Jordan graham they recalled him but not been in squads?

15 Feb 2018 19:14:40
I cannot see Graham having a future with Wolves, he does not fit the style we play and the other long-term injured have been moved on. I also believe Batth will be sold has he does not have the skill on the ball for this team. My worry is that Boly will not sign due to his wife not being happy.

15 Feb 2018 18:41:33
Guessing it was because of an approach for Costa. As for now, I guess he's playing keepie-uppies with Mason.

15 Feb 2018 19:48:56
I believe his contract is actually up this summer. Definitely a decent free agent for a number of Championship clubs.

15 Feb 2018 21:12:18
Not sure where this information of Boly's wife not being happy has come from.

15 Feb 2018 22:47:00
It was denied as Fake ages ago!

16 Feb 2018 17:14:26
Thought it was nonsense!

14 Feb 2018 13:00:59
Miguel Veloso who at 31 is free agent could be on wolves radar he a mendes client got loads top flight experience 53 caps Portugal.

14 Feb 2018 13:49:36
I do love Veloso. Got a wand of a left peg. Very very similar to Neves in the deeplying playmaker role though. Wouldn’t envisage him playing along side Neves but would be an awsome replacement if he was to get injured or god forbid we sell him.

13 Feb 2018 11:25:32
So the FA aren't taking any action against Jack Robinson for hitting Jota in the face because the panel of three referees weren't unanimous that it was a red card offence. Have I missed a rule change allowing players to raise hands against an opponent and not get sent off? It's not as if there isn't clear evidence as to what happened.

Oh well, we move on and look for our next three points!

13 Feb 2018 12:34:26
Yeah saw that ludicrous decision
Jota take it out on some Preston and Norwich defenders and score a few.

13 Feb 2018 12:52:11
Pathetic decision.

13 Feb 2018 13:44:06
You have to be joking that was a clear red.

13 Feb 2018 14:20:13
Only goes to prove the inconsistencies of all referees, those still working and also those that have retired.
Let's move on.

13 Feb 2018 17:25:36
But you know that if it had been a Man Utd/ Liverpool/ Man City/ Arsenal/ Chelsea or Spurs player assaulted, the FA would have taken a very different view.

13 Feb 2018 19:11:56
Did we really expect anything else, from the FA?
We are clearly not one of their favourite clubs.
But let’s take the positives- Jota wasn’t hurt, we won the match, oh, and we won’t be playing Holloway’s thugs next year.

13 Feb 2018 19:19:50
Guess he's just too honest a player in these times when a touch on opponents sock is " contact", he gets up every time and doesn't do a "Smalling". On different note, does any one know when our shirt contract is up and who new sponsors will be. First time I've never bought the new shirt, sponsors put me off.

14 Feb 2018 07:33:10
Sponsor runs out after next season I think mate. And yeah, I got one of the retro shirts this season because of not wanting that money shop crap on my top.

14 Feb 2018 19:58:17
Think main sponsor would be s fosun company like club med etc.

16 Feb 2018 12:03:57
Been to by someone in club shop that we are switching from Puma to Adidas as kit suppliers next season.

12 Feb 2018 20:42:16
Dan Gosling won't even come onto conversation in the Summer. lol I don't think outsiders realise what we're about. We're not going to the Premier League to be a Stoke or a West Brom.

12 Feb 2018 21:21:26
More FFP - Fake Football Predictions!

12 Feb 2018 21:59:40
Agree 100%. Apparently the 'story' emanates from The Sun a week or so ago and has been picked up on and repeated by several other rumours sites but in terms of there being any basis of truth? No way. As you say some of these people have no idea what we are about or where we are aiming. I continually speak to people who think we will be aiming for 17th and survival next season like most newly promoted clubs. Little do they know eh!

12 Feb 2018 20:06:17
If the reports in numerous papers are to be believed, then we're looking at Dan Gosling in the summer. surely we should be aiming for better?

12 Feb 2018 22:33:07
Why do you believe this stuff in the first place? Its all agent hype.

11 Feb 2018 18:50:44
Interesting stat so since the introduction of the new format of the Championship 13 seasons ago. The average number of points required for automatic promotion (2nd place) is 84 points and the average amount required to win is 93. so 4 more wins and a draw that should seal the deal. And 8 wins for the title. let's go COYW.

11 Feb 2018 22:49:45
good to see someone happy. i'm buzzing. plus are goal diffrents is like a point to us to.

11 Feb 2018 22:55:34
Am I right in thinking that a few years ago we had the highest points not to get in the play offs by goal difference? let's not count our chickens!

12 Feb 2018 13:20:38
I’m counting my chickens. As far as I’m concerned we’ll win the league and amass over 100 points.

12 Feb 2018 19:37:14
12 points clear with 15 games left to go we are going up lads no doubt best team the championship has ever seen with an unreal manager! Welcome to the Premier League Wolves x.

10 Feb 2018 22:44:37
You know what thought I'd have calmed down now, we're witnessing the best football in my 55 yrs, top of the league by 13 pts, 30,000 gates, best manager since the 50's, on the brink of the Premiership.
So cause people can't find nothing else to find a fault with, I know let's make Afobe a scapegoat who's had two 20 min. appearances.
At the end of the day Afobe knows the score he must start finding the net or he won't be signed.
So for people who hope he fails I really hope Afobe rams it down your throats, and I'll come on here and remind you doubters. 😟😟😟😟😟.

11 Feb 2018 02:05:00
Totally agree with above post, get behind them all for last 15 games.

11 Feb 2018 08:10:56
think most folk are realistic when a striker on a reported 80 thousand a week comes on the pitch people expect them to better or at least as good as what we already have he really needs to knuckle down while the other subs started warming up afobe carried on signing autographs in his hat gloves snood and track suit bottoms if he wants to impress nuno and many doubters he needs to get fit and put the ball in the net I am as always fully behind the squad but don't want to see it weakened!

11 Feb 2018 10:57:22
Afobe needs game time. It's not like flicking a light switch. Everything is a lot faster on the pitch than it appears to the spectator. He has shown that he has the ability but it will take some game time to get him back there.

11 Feb 2018 14:22:50
Yesterday was the weakness of Nuno philosophy shown in front of a packed Molineux.

First half they started first 10 minutes slow. Then they scored a goal from a cracking ball into the box. Then we played great football and scored another.

The issue was from the start though the two wing backs were pressed by the qpr extra man in midfield or perch for qpr at rwb or Robinson at LWB. Perch was run ragged by Jota and Caveleiro. Which meant he was replaced before half time.

After the break Holloway played a similar formation to wolves. Pressing the wing backs, N’diaye And boly who had caused chaos in the 1st half. This allowed them to win the ball in the wolves half and have more possession in dangerous areas. I think we did the right thing bringing Afobe and Gibbs white on when we did. But maybe we should have changed our formation after the goal was conceded. To 4-5-1 not for the rest of the game but to restore stability and structure in our play. The expansive game is fun until your on the wrong side of the result. UTW.

11 Feb 2018 15:48:52
But we won so it doesn't matter now. Nuno sends his team out to play the same way every week. It's the opposition that adapts to us not the other way round.

11 Feb 2018 19:26:43
Fair enough Jaz we got the three points which is all that matters. However we did make 3 goal line clearances it could have easily been a draw or worse. I wasn’t moaning at Nuno philosophy either it is exciting to watch but in the big games coming up it may be worth a thought of how we regain control of possession. As with possession and in shape we are unstoppable. 1 touch passes and goals are the product of this. As highlighted with goals v Sheffield Utd, Leeds, Brentford etc. It was a comment of thought of how we can regain control and possible score more by having the ball. Rather than playing expansive do or die football that nearly cost us points. And as I stated in the previous post we conceded in 51st minute if we had regained control for 10 minutes the game could have been ours in a more reassuring manner. UTW.

11 Feb 2018 20:49:33
If you know so much in your world of wisdom anewdawn why don't you apply for the job.

11 Feb 2018 22:34:55
That was uncalled for Wtid - had a bad day?

Anewdawn - good, logical, informed and insightful post IMHO.

11 Feb 2018 22:51:55
Newcastle lost 10 games last year chill out. its wolves year. he's been here 5 mins when you look at it. its not the wolves of old. right down to the tea lady.

12 Feb 2018 15:58:40
That is a very valid point anew and one which had dawned on me, simply put we won't be given the kind of room that our expansive game has enjoyed next year! A high press is all the rage these days and when you watch Huddersfield this wkend pressing Bournemouth into submission it doesn't take a genius to see that we are going to need a plan B. In fact when you look at it historically most teams that have played quality expansive footy in the Champ have often come undone when taking that to the Prem and no one here wants that to be us! I'm not sure what the answer is if honest although I trust Nuno to work it out. Maybe some kind of 4-5-1 for away/ big matches which allows us to flood the midfield?! Time will tell COYW :)

12 Feb 2018 17:29:55
Think peeps do need to calm down a little, at what point did having an opinion on a player constitute wanting them to fail or not backing the team for that matter?! Like many on here I back my team most weeks when I make a long round trip and spend good money to watch them play, will always support any player that's wearing the colours provided they are giving there all for the team!
Yes its great to be winning hell its a great time to be a Wolves fan! But if just cause we are winning people can't have opinions on players then this forum will get awful quiet for the next few months! For what its worth I thought Ruddy had a poor game at the weekend as well, doesn't mean I want him to fail simply means the guy himself has set higher standards that's all! Relax people, we don't all have to agree that's what makes this fun! COYW ;)
