I see a few people are having a go at Mendes. I'll ask this question. Who brought Helder Costa and Cavaleiro to our club? Yes he also brought Tex, Silvio and Ola John but he had nothing to do with Gladon. Tex has looked good at times and Silvio looked good before he got injured. I don't see the issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2017 11:45:39
Mendes isn't the problem it's Fosun who need to prove their ambition for our club because they haven't shown any at the moment.

14 Jan 2017 12:36:22
That's the trouble with we Wolves fans me included, we need to stop moaning and Let Lambert do is job and get behind him, so far he is doing a great job and also giving the kids game time is something no other manager as done, which makes sense really after the money we have wasted on players.

the kids coming through at those times had no game time in the first team so we moved them on to other clubs where they have made a name for themselves, which starts all the fans off me included saying why did we let him go.

Surely we have to realise the mistakes we have made and learn by them and start getting behind the players especially at home like Lambert is saying and start enjoying the ride and start climbing the table to safety first.

14 Jan 2017 14:01:35
Not shown ambition pull your head out mate seriously Fosun spent £14million in the summer on players most which haven't worked out sadly but they are learning from their mistakes we also have ffp rules to contend with too.
I don't think we'll see much activity in the Jan transfer window but I suspect come Summer there will be a lot of incomings and outgoings with some serious cash spent.
We could of spent a billion quid and you'd still moan no matter who our owner or manager is you always moan maybe you should go support Chelsea or something?
I can understand peoples frustration but we have to be patient.
You could always try to buy Wolves yourself though. oh wait.
Let Lambert and fosun do their job I have a good feeling about this combo.

14 Jan 2017 14:03:21
This is why fans r annoyed bigwolf, because we're lookin to climb this league to safety when it's only an average league.

14 Jan 2017 15:10:50
I likewise don't see much ambition shown by Fosun RKO.7 million of the 14 million you mention went on just one player, leaving the balance of 7 million for the rest.

If you really want to get to the Premier League you have to go about it man fashion and do everything possible to make things happen. Yes, the squad needs trimming there's no doubt about that, and it seems moves are taking place in that direction. After that you do all that is possible, as quickly as possible, to strengthen the team with quality players. I don't see this happening, at best we seem to be considering lower league players who are cheap. Newcastle for example are a team who has shown ambition and show a definite intent of returning to the Prem. If Fosun want it, they should demonstrate that they can make it happen, and leave no stone unturned, and not be led by someone like Thelwell (who gives every reason possible for why things can't happen) . So yes I agree with Paul Tamworth Fosun need to get a grip and show some ambition, to alay the fear that Jeff Shi's words 'Wolves will get to the Prem as quickly as possible and stay there' are not simply 'words' and nothing else.

14 Jan 2017 20:36:38
It's still 14 million though franko
Which ever way you spin it

15 Jan 2017 07:35:11
Fosun has invested in 12 new players how many would we have had under Morgan? The problem was the rush to get players through the door before season started we didn't scout them no manager to say what the team needed.

There is ambition just not direction but now we have Lambert we have the missing piece of the jigsaw he has 30 players he can use which he says is too many

Yes we would like better players but don't blame Fosun who thought they were doing that in August

Lack of ambition is Venkys who went from a Premier team under Sam to a relegation outfit today

15 Jan 2017 11:17:18
We fans will find out very quickly if Fosun are not true to there word because Lambert will walk if not given what he wants so let's enjoy ourselves everything is going great at the moment.

14 Jan 2017 03:27:20
Seriously doubt when P.L. came to Wolves he asked to sign an unheard-off guy playing in obscure league in India to be our first signing so who is pulling the strings? Time to get the purse open.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2017 08:21:13
May be lambert saw him play while going to see the venkys in India and thought that it's worth a look at.
That'd all Belfast

14 Jan 2017 08:38:09
I don't see why WW should sign any players this transfer window. We are not going to be promoted or relegated this season. The summer can be used to build a promotion challenge and give the youngsters a chance to mature.

It appears there is half a team of quality, youthful talent rather like the golden generation of Man Utd. Get the points to be safe this time around, get the youngsters in and give them development experience and assess where additional experience is needed for a promotion push.

14 Jan 2017 10:34:51
We could have messi, ronaldo, kane, hart, kompany, rashford etc and some people on here would still moan we weren't buying enough players.

14 Jan 2017 18:12:06
Bet Paul would force start

13 Jan 2017 23:52:37
Just listening to the Chelsea drama at the moment. Oh and guess who is behind it all. Mendes. bloke is all about money and we listened. Now we have a poor squad spent loads and have signed some fool for the U23's. Hunte looked good but we let him go. Think there is more to Fosun than meets the eye.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2017 01:14:55
Connor Hunte was booted out of Chelsea due to his behaviour. He signed for Wolves and initially looked the part but his attitude has gone downhill recently and we have decided to cut our losses and let him try to build his career elsewhere.

14 Jan 2017 09:08:41
Stick to watching the Chelsea drama and shut up whinging. what's done is done Who knows he made a mistake and acknowledges it by changing direction regards personnel. But you can't put it right over night. So get over it

13 Jan 2017 12:47:58
Almost half way through transfer window and not even a glimmer of a single signing. How do they expect fans to turn up and pay each week if they don't make at least one or two signings. they need a bit of excitement and give fans something to cheers about. I know they've written this season off but still 1 decent signing is all that's needed especially with costa likely to go end of season

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 15:46:49
Who knows what's going on behind the scenes! time to worry is when the window closes if we still haven't brought anyone in.

13 Jan 2017 16:38:15
do we need to sign the right player? or will anybody do just to keep the stupid fans happy?

13 Jan 2017 19:18:27
Sounds like we need to sign the right fans. I'm sure PL knows what he wants and it's in line with what most of us do as well. It's not easy though is it. Everyone wants to hang onto their best players. Stop winging, he will do what he can I'm sure. Get behind the lads for tomorrow and let's kick some A. V. arse. 👍😉

13 Jan 2017 12:37:18
In regards to those wanting to take Winnall back we did that with leon clarke and look how that ended

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 15:20:19
Some fans put pressure on leon Clarke before he even stepped on the pitch. a load of players start scoring soon as they leave us but why?

13 Jan 2017 16:00:36
Mainly because of pressure off the terraces'all fans are guilty of getting on players backs, it just seems that 'we wolves fans are particularly bad for it.
Perhaps if we just get behind the team when things are going to pot, then they might just come out of their shell's instead of trying to hide on the pitch and stop taking chances.

13 Jan 2017 12:27:31
What happened to getting players in early in this transfer market!

Are we going to sign anyone!

What do you reckon

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 10:01:51
I'll be happy with a couple of additions but no point until we clear out some of the deadwood and also no point in over paying as you lot will be straight on their backs. Just like the 7million calverio deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 11:19:39
Just need a proven goal scorer

13 Jan 2017 11:42:48
Great comment Ficklewolves could not of said it any better.

12 Jan 2017 19:01:59

How's it go with a 17.30 kick off

12 Jan 2017 20:12:21
Change the line
Mid-week or on saturday

13 Jan 2017 07:17:17
Change the last line to Lambeth Cha Cha Cha. Would be interesting to hear the South BAnk sing that.

12 Jan 2017 13:45:40
Former England and Wolves manager Graham Taylor has sadly passed away at 72 full story on bbc sport website.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 14:48:17
I for one am grateful for the things he did at our club. It was him who got us off the car park and onto proper training pitches. He set up the youth system which produced Robbie Keane, Lescott, Murray etc and he also signed my favourite ever player. John De Wolf. Ultimately football is a results business and his hands were tied by having Stowell, Masters, Thomas, Froggatt, Daley and Bully out for a long period at the same time. Had they stayed fit, we'd have been promoted. RIP.

{Ed001's Note - he was such a genuinely nice guy, it is a sad loss.}

12 Jan 2017 15:13:36
Totally agree JasM. 😉

12 Jan 2017 15:15:09
Sad to see him die so young. Some top managers are still working at that age. Yes, he might not have got us promoted but he found some memorable players for us.

12 Jan 2017 15:22:15
He didn't get enough time at the mol, saturday should be a fitting tribute to him/

12 Jan 2017 16:46:22
I met him outside the ground years ago when Geoff Thomas was riding around on the bike with no tyres. I met the whole team after training and spoke to Taylor who was frustrated as the medical team had told him that the defender he was trying to sign had an injury preventing him from ever playing at the highest level. Turns out it was Ronny Johnsen who signed for Man Utd a year later and won the European Cup in 1999.

12 Jan 2017 21:02:02

Can I just add Jason M. You are incorrect, wolves were training at pretty decent facilities way before Taylor arrived at Wolves. I can assure you on this as I was there training at the above facilities!

He did do a decent job with setting up the academy, even if he did spend very little time on the training pitches

13 Jan 2017 11:18:45
I remember chatting to a lady in the ticket office the day that Graham Taylor was sacked - she was in tears and said he was a lovely, lovely gentleman . The rest of us can only aspire as such.

12 Jan 2017 13:27:14
So sad to hear of the passing of Graham Taylor. A true gentleman. Condolences to his family and friends.
