Looking at the fixture list, if we don't win our "must - win" game on Friday, by the time we play our next match (Reading, away) we could quite possibly be 2nd from bottom. Baring in mind last time we were relegated from this league we had 51 points.

Peterborough went down on 53, target for this season has to be around 55. Really can't see us scoring enough goals to secure another 20 points. think the club should be desperately hunting for a free agent striker, no matter what age, or at what cost. Robbie Keane/ Berbatov spring to mind before they're snapped up.

Some big 6 pointers to come including, Bristol City, Blackburn and Forest, games we must win, feel we will be staring relegation in the face by the end of March if no action is taken.

Do hope the 30,000 turn up on Friday, This is the biggest game of the season.

Yes it's making me nervous too. I agree we need to target 20 points, taking risks if it starts to look like they're not forthcoming.

These won't be big risks. We have Ronan and Gibbs-White now looking like real options. And Saiss needs to come in to toughen up the middle, although Price generally does a good job. Play them both but drop Edwards? Tough call. My perverse logic is that without Edwards, the strikers will score more goals. So I'd go 442 with Costa and Ronan wide, Bod and Cav to attack. Or Costa and Cav wide, Bod and Dicko/ Mason/ Weimann/ Zyro/ Edwards as number 10.

Two decent strikers in our league are around 25mil. So the spine needs addressing - how much? ⚽️👍😉.

If one thing can be learned from Saturday
It is the effect the supporters can have on a team.
My season ticket is NOT in the South bank
But I tip my hat to one and all.
I travelled home on the train resplandant in my old gold and black.
Chelsea fans shook my hand complementing the team
BUT claiming the fans were pure class bewildered at our position and hoping a return to a packed Molineux isn't to far away.
PL turn this around fella I can feel your passion.
You know you are at a special club, WWFC showed the country, China and the world a footballing passion.
One love WWFC.

Well said "the realist". My views 100%. Trust in Paul Lambert.

24 Feb 2017 15:47:49
Well one things for sure swopping managers/ coaches all the time does not work, so let's see what Lambert does next year, but we have got to stop these last minute goals going in, they are costing us dearly and we must get some proven strikers in for next season, Lambert must sort the striker situation out and midfield, also a good centre back, not much to ask for realy with the money Fosun have, without these players we will be struggling that's for sure, come on me babies 3-0 win against Blues, got this gut feeling our striker will score against Blues whoever plays there tonight.

20 Feb 2017 18:57:36
Any news on Cav?
For me Cav and Saiss will make a difference to us.
In December - when we were scoring freely - Cav was starting to look good and scoring goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2017 21:03:25
I totally agree Exeter. Cav was looking awesome adds a bit of help to costa. Sais will be a huge player for us if he ever gets any game time.

22 Feb 2017 10:19:21
Yes I rate these two. I know they're not consistent. But even at the top, players usually aren't. But put a few in the same team at the same time and one or two can make a massive difference.

20 Feb 2017 10:56:53
How come the South Bank gets all of the applauds, when I used to go (Scotland is a little too far to go now) it was the North Bank, the South Bank was the place NOT to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 feb 2017 11:40:12
yes i remember those days to . the old north bank choir happy days, loved the away trips making up new songs on the way, remember the days when the away fans tried to get in the north bank sepperated by a few boys in blue,

20 Feb 2017 11:47:42
I used to share a season ticket in the North Bank. I think the atmosphere changed a little when it was rebuilt. Maybe because some fans moved or the fact it is two tiers now. South Bank is always the loudest these days.

20 Feb 2017 20:07:32
The catchphrase presenter says 'I've started but I can't finish'. That covers all of our strikers doesn't it? It really should have been sorted. ⚽️👍😉.

19 Feb 2017 18:24:29
Probably will never happen but would it be worth a try bringing in a player like Muriel or maybe someone with a lot of experience such as Berbatov?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2017 17:32:49
A few games this season we have played

Dicko
Weimann costa

But when we play those 3 together I would rather see

Weimann

Dicko costa

Because even though dicko isn't scoring he was out for over a year and he has lots of pace and strength so could cause trouble on the wing. weimann didn't he play as the number 9 for villa when he had that season under paul lambert where he scored 12? Goals if so give him a chance as the target man.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2017 21:50:05
Not realy impressed with Weighman so far, nothing special, jordan Graham will take that position anyway when fit, Weighman as to do a lot better for a contract for me and Marshall well the verdicts still out on him as he is not fit, realy hope he is as good as Lambert says.
Back to league now after cup run, need to get some points on board and start getting them at the molineux would help, being honest not no were good enough at the moment and Lambert needs to sort it out, no excuses and talking crap, it's points what win football matches and to get points you need goalscorers, in which may I had Lambert saying, he was happy with what he as at is disposal, and will not be sighning a striker in the last transfer window, very strange decision that, hope it don't come back to haunt him.

20 Feb 2017 17:06:33
Emerging talent to buy: Roberts (WBA, on loan at Shrewsbury), Elliott (AFC Wimbledon), Toney (Newcadtle, on loan at Scumthorpe) . 3 strikers who can make it in the Championship or League One, if Wolves go down.

21 Feb 2017 10:34:44
When KJ tried to sign Toney in summer 2016, a lot of the fans slated him. He ain't really done much since then either.

19 Feb 2017 13:38:40
Gr8 battling performance. Coady has to be first choice right back. Hazard hardly had a kick in first half. Costa brilliant again had Pedro not knowing what to do. Agree with PT 2 quality strikers and a centre half desperately needed.

Think you are getting carried away wanderer1979,thought Chelsea could of gone up another gear if they needed to, the way they broke and found the spaces up front was very good and sooner or later you could see them scoring, we had our chance on 5 minutes and Saville missed when it seamed easier to score, Bodvarson got through some graft on is own with nobody round him, thought substitusions were made to late, should of been made lot earlier as there were big gaps appearing which Chelsea seamed to find with ease later in game, the goal that turned the match came to easy as tiredness seamed to creap in.
Well cup run is over, now to the serious stuff, surely we have to start winning at home, we have not scored a goal in 3 games.

19 Feb 2017 18:14:42
Sorry but the story of coady is win the ball and pass it straight back to the other side. or jack price plays a 50 yard beautiful pass and miss control it. nice lad but he is league 1.

19 Feb 2017 22:04:40
Good comment Wednesfield wolf on Coady, you are right after the good work he messed up on getting crosses in, could not get it over first man many times, to be honest we done okay but I wouldn't get carried away you could see Chelsea had another gear to me, they broke with such pace and find there strikers with ease when they are flowing and they are a pleasure to watch.
Lambert should of brought subs on earlier, you could see there were tired legs out there and in the end it told.
3 games now at molineux and we have not found the net, and have we had more than 2 shots at goal, hope we can get a result against Blues, needs sorting, goals win football matches which may I remind Lambert we are short of.

18 Feb 2017 20:09:38
I don't think anyone can fault the performance tonight. if only Savilles shot was a inch to the right eh?
Pity wolves don't play like that every week. if they did we'd be fighting for play offs at least now.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2017 22:08:59
I think we do well against the top teams as they attack and allow us to do the same. Against defensive minded teams we struggle.

19 Feb 2017 08:51:17
Good battlin performance especially first half, Saville should of scored from there, second half Chelsea controlled it. Back to reality now, we're 19th in a mediocre league, two home games comin up 4 points minimum required and then it's a massive summer in the transfer market if we're seriously lookin at promotion. Two quality strikers needed a midfield enforcer and playmaker and a quality centre half.

19 Feb 2017 13:32:30
Completely agree with both comments.

19 Feb 2017 16:17:49
I also agree with you Paul, home record is awful we need to start getting points and start scoring goals, home record is awful, no excuses Lambert you are the one who said you did not need a striker, so on your head be it.
Interesting game comeing up against the blue Noses.

18 Feb 2017 19:39:25
Priority is staying up. sign quick thinking quality player early in the summer. get graham zyro, dicko, marshall completely fit. get rid of coady, Saville, gladon, saiss, silvio, caverleiro. keep costa and Doherty. Then smash it next season with 30,000 fans behind them!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2017 20:29:09
Quite agree staying up is imperative. What does annoy me is if they can play well against Stoke, Liverpool, Chelsea. Why so bad in the league? Kick up the whats it called for.

18 Feb 2017 21:39:10
Wednesfield, I'm SO glad you aren't by me in the South Bank. I pity anyone who is by you, wherever you sit, with your constant moaning and negative comments.

19 Feb 2017 09:33:17
Agree with you PT over the summer transfers! When you look at teams doing well, what have they got in common? Quality leadership at the top, buy quality, tried tested, proved they can do it week in week out.

They all have high budgets. As we all know it's not just about spending money but about doing it in the right places on the pitch with the right quality. We need backup to cover injuries! I hope PL is up to this?

Because this is where all this starts along with the supporting staff. It has to be quality right from the top down. Our next mini project is to stay in this league. That won't be easy! Our strikers between them all couldn't strike a match let alone score goals. This we all know is a fact. But also a massive problem for us fans. ⚽️👍😉.

18 Feb 2017 18:21:50
Pity wolves don't change there formation just like conte has at chelsea
Gk keamz
Lwb doherty
Rwb marshall
Lcb iorfa
Cb batth
Rcb hause
Cm ronan
Cm saiss
Ram costa
Lam cav/ graham
Cf bodvarsson
Would love to see us give this formation a try. got the players to do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2017 18:22:23
How can we lose to Wigan then do so well for 45 mins against arguably one of the best teams on the planet it beggars belief UTW.

18 Feb 2017 19:04:15
Should change our name to Wolves nil!
Lambert, you are boring me to death!
Why you never signed a striker in January is unbelievable and
will be your downfall.

18 Feb 2017 20:08:09
James38. got to say i'd like to see that team / formation also. Though i'd swap hause and iorfa around so that they'd be on there natural footed side.

18 Feb 2017 21:44:52
James your team is similar to the one I think should have played against Chelsea we need Saiss Cav Ronan not Batth Price Saville I mean we needed young hungry and signings from top leagues Batth Price Coady Stearman ok for Championship.

19 Feb 2017 00:05:44
Only problem is Cav is out injured till next month at least and Graham has just started training after a year out injured.

19 Feb 2017 13:55:20
james 38 marshall could not play in any formation worst thing lambert has done is sign him according to blackburn fans he is one of the reasons they are doing so badly kep him out until he is match fit I say!

18 Feb 2017 17:47:32
Chelsea putting a strong team against us Willian Hazard Pedro Costa I would have started with Saiss and Ronan rather than Price who I rate and Saville but he is against his old club so maybe something in that. Would like to see Williamson and Cav out there but perhaps not fit.

Agree0 Disagree0
