The rumour yesterday was that Watling and Trollope had been sacked alongside Edwards, and Rui Silva had opted to leave of his own volition.

Many thanks for that. I was hoping that the Portuguese connection may have helped to keep him. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks for his own managerial position. He is certainly a good tactician.

Thanks Blacksford. I asked the same question a couple of days ago. In answer, Goodwhileitlasted1 wrote:

I suspect he had his eyes on the head coach job himself. I think he would do well in that post with another club.
