De Wolf - Why do you think Tolu will stay?
Surely his salary will be way out of Wolves pocket if they go down. Plus he will still raise a transfer fee albeit nothing like the amount paid by Wolves and Wolves will be desperate for cash injections.
Otherwise pretty much agree that the squad will be almost entirely disposed of one way or another - sold, bought out, contract not renewed or sent out on loan.
Consequently with what is left you may well be correct and a double relegation is far from impossible even before you take into account the genuine possibility of Wolves entering into administration and thus being hit with a 12 point penalty.
The next few weeks will tell us a lot about how Fosun sees things.
A serious managerial signing and a very healthy January transfer budget will indicate they are still committed.
A cheap option for manager and the sale of J Gomes and Andre - the two remaining diamonds in the squad - indicates Fosun are simply looking to extract as much value from the club as it can whilst it still can.

As Abbey pointed out in a post earlier today Seville was a real "sliding doors" moment.
If Nuno had been left in control - with Thelwell and Dalrymple - Wolves may well have been a European team on more than one occasion over the last few years and certainly would be a solid top half of the table team, highly profitable and worth a fortune.
Jeff taking control meant that none of this happened and Wolves have been a massively loss making club and may well be no longer a Prem team next year worth nothing or close to it.
Unless Fosun has extracted hundreds of millions over the past few years, which seems highly unlikely, Jeff has not just spectacularly failed Wolves but Fosun as well.

I’m not sure with tolu I just get the impression he’s not the sort of character to jump ship, I could and probably am wrong and like you say he will probably go as well. I did post the other day on talking wolves about how fosun may stick around and leech the parachute payments for as long as they can before peeing off.

I genuinely fear for the next few seasons and can see a free fall like the 80’s on the cards

Also I point out in my article that Jeff and fosun are equally culpable for the mess we find ourselves in, as for the money side of it when you work out sponsorship, tv money, premier league money the club have had an income just shy of a billion pounds since returning to the prem, I’m not including transfers in this as over the years they have pretty much balanced out now, slightly in the red but not by much.

A good example is when the first spectres of psr started to appear, the season we had to sell neves etc that same year Jeff’s annual pay shot from 220 grand a year to around 660 grand a year this is when we are being told as fans that the club is in dire financial crisis

From a purely non football sided of things, and Iknow nothing regards the financial world, if Fosun are likely to attract offers of 4/500m selling wouldn't represent a loss on their original investment would it? In fact I'm imagining a positive return, so why are they hanging in with us given the current global tensions.

It's not to run and develop an English Premier football club, even if just for fun. We've been sold a few lies for whatever reasons, and perhaps Jeff as been doing his job for fosun successfully in their eyes De Wulf.?

I absolutely agree abbey I think they bought the club and thought they could chuck a bit of cash at it at first and end up as big as Barcelona Which would tie in with Jeff’s delusional comments, then through a perfect storm of covid/Chinese government restrictions and the reality of football they have realised it’s actually a very expensive business.

They have zero interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers apart from being able to use our iconic badge for e sports, the sooner they have gone the better but I think it’s going to get a lot lot worse for us before that happens

Totally agree De Wolf. They need to unload Wolves to meet their commercial strategy since COVID. They are struggling to find a cash buyer due to the uncertain financial world we live in and the PL restrictions on direct investment.
