Seems that Silva isn't cutting it and we'll be getting him back.😭

29 Apr 2024 22:59:57
Would anyone take Almiron? The toon are thinking of offloading him. I think he is about 32 but still a good player and could be good for Enzo as they are both from same part of the world.

30 Apr 2024 09:39:09
If you'd asked me two or three seasons ago, I wouldn't have been remotely interested but now? I think he could do a real job for us. He's really impressed me with his energy, his enthusiasm and commitment and, importantly from our perspective, his first thought when he has the ball is to look to get on the front foot and take people on rather than play the ball back and build slowly. He's also happy to get in at the far post the moment there's the slightest suggestion a ball might be played across and that's something we've been sadly lacking. The price would have to be right of course but I wouldn't write him off as easily as was once the case.

30 Apr 2024 10:07:00
Not for me. I would however sign Jamal Lascelles if Newcastle were willing to sell.

It's not that I don't like Almiron but if we kept Neto, where would you play him?

30 Apr 2024 14:28:00
I’m thinking if we got rid of Neto to be honest Jas.

28 Apr 2024 16:50:39
Nice to see Matthias Nunes keeping the bench warm for Man City at Forest once again. Shades of Calvin Phillip's.
He will probably be loaned out next season - I know one club who will not want him - can anyone guess which club?

28 Apr 2024 17:29:33
Wrexham?

28 Apr 2024 20:09:35
Wycombe Wanderers?

28 Apr 2024 08:36:55
I must be thick but what is this 'expected goals' all about? If you have an expected goal of 0.5, does that mean you are only expected to score half a goal? Or, you did score a goal until VAR steps in. Anyway, what difference does XG make anyway? I have no idea!

28 Apr 2024 10:09:26
You're not being thick at all. It confuses me too. I mean when we beat Chelsea 4-2, our xg was 1.25 and theirs was 7 or something stupid.

Apparently it's based on passes and all sorts of useless factors.

28 Apr 2024 10:18:59
I think it was Paul Merson in sky, I know he ain’t the brightest spark but even he admitted he didn’t understand the xg ether

28 Apr 2024 10:23:34
All gobbledygook to me and meaningless, unless perhaps your wanting on getting a bet on and don't follow the game?.

28 Apr 2024 11:01:35
XG of 0.5 means you should score 5 goals from 10 attempts. Like most I'm no expert but as others have said it's based on historical data.

So if historically you play counter attacking football and your build up play means that you get into good 1 on 1 chances in front of goal that score or force a save you should have a higher xG than if the goal attempts involve blasting the ball over the south bank from 30 yards and only getting the occasional shot onto the crossbar.

I think that's the best of my understanding. Happy to be further enlightened.

28 Apr 2024 12:18:17
I pay zero attention to pointless stats. The final score is the real stat that counts, and maybe cards / bookings.

28 Apr 2024 01:33:50
Well done boys. Controlled the game and then maybe got a little too cocky but re focused and saw the game out. Now let’s smash city!

28 Apr 2024 06:51:40
With the remaining fixtures, There is a possibility of getting something against Crystal Palace (one or three points) City are in the hunt for a 4th successive PL title in a row, and Liverpool will want to end Klopp's final game on a high at Anfield.

I wonder will it be "one foot on the beach" for the players after the city game?

28 Apr 2024 07:48:52
I think of whang and cunha come through the man City game fit and strong we in my eyes be favourites to beat Palace.
Palace have hit a purple patch so understand it won't be a push over but with home advantage, our last home game of the season our team will pull out all stops for our fans.

28 Apr 2024 10:31:01
apologies vbwolf for taking not much attention to your post above.
Was tired and angry/dismayed that you out of 1 or 2 had posted about the mstch yesterday.
The site is flooded with var our poor performances etc etc.
We win barely a peep.

Re never know vb at man City the double over them would be a massive achievement.

28 Apr 2024 12:17:13
Phil it’s all good. I’m used to it 😂

28 Apr 2024 12:48:54
Very good 2nd half performance.Midfield were very good especially Lemina and Traore. Some lovely flowing passing. It makes it a lot easier when you have a forward line.

28 Apr 2024 12:58:54
Mice 1,

Only 10 mins ago the first time speaking to my brother about the match.
He told me much much better game than Bournemouth game.
Said fans around him were all on about semedo chance should of done better.
Luton came back into it at the end.
3 points in the bag for us.
Happy days.

27 Apr 2024 20:38:42

Got to give a shoutout to Luton who were great no dark arts or trying to cheat they just got on with the game.

28 Apr 2024 07:49:56

27 Apr 2024 19:48:42

28 Apr 2024 07:51:15
Alright Billy longtime I seen you post alls well I hope?

Lop I'm spartucus ha ha but I int no moaner.

27 Apr 2024 07:29:16
What controversies are in store for us today, folks? I used to look forward to the game.

27 Apr 2024 07:57:19
VAR has definitely spoilt the game, I believe we should ban it like the Swedish FA have done, apart from goal line technology. Wolves seem to have had some bad VAR decisions and so have other clubs. I have lost interest in the game since VAR have been introduced. It’s obvious to me that VAR officials do not know what they are doing and saying sorry after making mistakes does not bring back the points lost. My wife says maybe the officials are corrupt.

27 Apr 2024 08:36:02
I'm interested to see the reactions and ambitions today. Luton will see this as a potential 3 points in their survival fight and be up for it. We've got a lot of wrongs to pit right after the bournmouth game and GON must show us his motivation. We as supporters have to get behind the lads or we could find everyone's concentration dropping and resign9ng ourselves to defeat. With man city Palace and Liverpool to come we don't want to go out on a string of hiding. Get behind the boys, it is a big game all round confidence wise. So, COYW COYW COYW.

Soon be the close season and will be pining for the footy to return.
For me it's going to better than last years close season for a few reasons,
1, it's one out the every 2 years with the euros or world cup.
The euros in Germany with an eye if neto is fit watching portugal and our other players.

2, much more hope with GON to sign his own players along with the absolute need to add to the squad so next season we don't burn out when injuries occur.

3.
Putting VAR to the side we've got the mentality under GON and our owners and hobbs to really kick on.

Today the obvious we will either win well or repeat our poor displays.
Hope of course we play well for my bro firstly myself and all wolvrs fans on our wolves rumours/banter site.

Title looks like man City but wouldn't it be great if turned them.over next week.

COYW

I really hope we put on a performance today. We can't get Europe and we can't go down.

If I was GON, I'd go all Brian Clough on the team and say that they are fighting for their future at the club. Too many have become complacent.

The only players that seem to try are AIT, Semedo, Lemina, Gomes and Cunha. The rest of them are on the beach and need a kick up the ar*e.
