Tim Nash reporting that Jorge Mendes' 2nd in command is in Saudi Arabia discussing release terms with Nunos club so that he can return to Wolves. Not sure how I feel about this. Loved him whilst he was here but towards the end, the tactics and style weren't good. I just think his status as a club legend needs to be preserved.

Old Gold flows through his veins and he has a terrific connection to the team and city. If he were to insist that team issues, transfers etc. were his responsibility then I think he could galvanise this squad again. We know that if he were to arrive he would get a heroes welcome and the Mol would become a cauldron again which in itself would be a fantastic boost for the team. If he fails and it tarnishes his reputation we should be mindful of the mismanagement that has preempted his appointment, no fault of Nunos.
I have no objection to his return.

When Nuno left I thought he had taken us as far as he could and it was time for change to take us to the next level. In some of Bruno’s early games we played some good football and it looked like we were going to progress but we didn’t get the results he lost the dressing room and we started to get injuries.
If Nuno does come back Jeff needs to take a back seat and allow Nuno free reign to build the club in his image.

Jeff is the commercial money man, Sellars is the pretend football man with the ear of Jeff!

I think Nuno is great and can't thank him enough for what he did for us but there is a reason why we sacked him. Maybe he has had time to think where he went wrong. Whoever gets the job I will back apart from Bruce

Nuno was sacked because he had run out ideas of how we should play as other teams learned how to stifle us and counteract our tactics, hence why Nuno wanted to try a back four instead of the then predictable 3/5 at the back. Has gained more experience and new tactics? Much as I love the bloke, I doubt it.

I would have Nuno in a heart beat, some on here blame him for the season we finished 13th, I like to think the rot started higher up in the club, when Darymple and Thelwell left the club put a man in charge with no experience, to lead the way in Transfers and the running of the club, this was clear to see with the sales and players brought in, clearly they were not of Nunos choice, but he had to play with the cards dealt, and that season some key players were injured leaving the squad even thinner.
The night we bowed out of the Europa league was the night Nuno should have been back properly and let him keep building his team to push on, buy I think it may have been too early in the overall plan, thus why some keys figures at the top were moved on, as they wanted the same as Nuno.
There are lots of ifs and buts and what could of been, but one thing Nuno bought us was our identity as a club and Fans, that has been gone since he departed, now it's time to get it back, he knows the league, the club, the fans, and he also knows what passion we have and what we expect, if he has the drive and want to come back, then there is no better man out there, and his coaching team.

No one knows what the reason was for Nuno being sacked but judging on some of the decisions being made at our club it is safe to say that Shi and Sellers are the ones that are not up to the job, Nuno brought something to Wolves that had been missing for a long time, success unity between the players fans and the community. I would like to see him back rather than taking a gamble on a untried second a third tier manager.

Shi and Sellers need someone to hide behind so they bring Nuno in. All those money spent and nothing to show for. Fosum probably not happy Could backfire badly if it doesn't work. Wonder what the players think.

Nuno gave us 3 fantastic seasons.
Then Shi sacked Dalrymple. Took over the day-to-day running of the Club, appointed the joke Sellars to look after football, sacked Head of Finance and made other underwhelming appointments and since 2019 all the good work has been undone.
Until Shi and Sellars are removed we will continue to go backwards.
Why would he come back with the 2 Dark Destroyers still at the Club.
He left because of them!

Shi and Sellers are trying to pull the old bread and circus trick. They needed a big name to throw into the game and nobody is bigger than Nuno at Wolves.Woodward Manchester United did this for years and got away with it. Smart business man but no knowledge about fotball. Sounds familiar?

14 Oct 2022 19:06:34
Shi and Sellars are the problem at the club, Reading regarding Rob Edwards and how he is very close to sellars, as mush as Robs a nice lad, he cannot get the job, he has no experience at this level and would be worse than TC when.he took.over reigns from MM, There is no manager out there that could come in and hit the ground running other than NUNO.
The sooner Sellars is shown the door the better and Shi needs to get back to the business side and let's the footballing men do their job

This seems to just be a Mendes stunt to get Nuno relevant again. I doubt very much he will be asked to coach Wolves after his insubordination.

If SC Lisbon do not qualify for group stage of ham pions Champions League would their manager become available. Amorim was/is our first choice apparently but wanted to stay as they were well placed in their Champions League group. Since then they have lost two matches and have Tottenham away and Marseilles at home. Done and dusted by 1 November. If caretakers get result today and something from Palace, would be worth taking the risk!

Nuno is another desperate move.all be it he's no worse than any other mentioned.however.he also failed tk address the lack of goals scored problem.keeping with jiminez thru thick and thin.and broke the partnership up with traore failing to pkay him most games.and sticking with favourites when they clearly lacked the qualities needed and made crazy substitutions and became too scared to lose.just another sideways step if he comes back.
