Sky are saying Ramsdale on loan with a future option. Hate to be a negative nancy but I can't help but feel this will be the latest in a long line of over priced loans who isn't really going to improve the first eleven but let's hope I'm wrong?! Surely it also means Sa is off else we are paying a lot of wages on GKs? ?

I think Ramsdale would be a big mistake, too error prone. Arsenal would not be shelling out for another keeper if he was up to premier standard. A good keeper is essential to a successful team, perhaps we set out standards lower. Just about all Premier sides have two good keepers, our keeper department is very thin. Brian Clough always said a top goalkeeper was vital to any team.

I’ve heard a similar rumour to us getting Harry Maguire on loan, I think the closer to the end of the transfer window the wackier. I like Ramsdale personally and think he could do a job, if we get a decent fee for Sa then I suppose it’s a reasonable replacement, to have him as a number 2 though is just daft. Need other areas addressing before GK (and I don't rate Bentley at all)

The goalkeeper search isn't about how good they are between the sticks but how good are they with their feet.This is the way it's going in the top leagues and, as we all know, Sa is next to useless in that department as was Patricio before him.This becomes even more important with a back 4 (which it seems is how O'Neil wants to go) because there are less simple lay the ball off options with one less nearby defender to play the ball to.

I understand what your saying Old only problem there is that is the VERY reason Arsenal spent a fortune to replace Ramsdale! Like Sa he's a great shot stopper but his distribution is dangerously poor! I really do despair! ?

It's all down to degrees, Bullys. Ramsdale is however much better than Sa with his feet but, you never know, it may be a smokescreen and we will be getting someone completely left field. The fact that Ederson was sighted in Wolvo yesterday can be put down to his burgeoning friendship with Cunha and Gomes. Maybe! ??

Ramsdale has made PFA team of the year and is an England international, can’t be as poor as some are making out. Far better than Sa with his feet, which is important in the modern game. Sa rumoured to be interesting Saudi teams so that would guarantee a good fee. If Bentley left as part of Ramsdale deal, which is a possibility, we would need to get a new back-up as King is viewed as third choice. If Ramsdale deal was loan with an option, I, for one, think it would be brilliant business. Not sure Arsenal will settle for anything less than loan with obligation to buy.

Far better with his feet, is he actually though?! Did you see his last performance for Arsenal? There's a reason it was his last because he gave their first goal away by coming out of his area and kicking the ball straight to the opposition, I can't even remember the last time Sa did that (or the first for that matter)?! He then gave the second away through poor judgement running out of his box and getting beaten to the ball! I'd actually go as far to say that he's worse than Sa with his feet, not sure where this notion that Sa can't play out has come from, his positioning is weak but then so is Ramsdale!
As for Ramsdale getting in the England sqaud it means absolutely nothing when it's in the weakest position in the team! Sa was in the Portugal squad only difference there is that actually means something as they have some seriously decent keepers unlike us! Sorry but this is nothing more than a side ways move and one which will almost certainly double our wage costs on GKs!
I suspect this is all because Sa (like anyone else with a smidge of ambition) wants to leave because like everyone else he's realised Jeff and Fosun have little to no ambition for the progress of our club! God this is depressing and we aren't even a month in yet! ?

We don’t want Ramsdale or O’Shea, neither are anything special plus previous history with the stripy brigade!

Come on Wolves get real and give the fans something to shout about - all this doom and gloom is depressing us fans, what must it be doing to our dressing room.
