Jhon Arias has showed over the last few weeks that he is more settled and actually looks decent.
Fosun won't care that this is a player who, if we retain, can be brilliant in the Championship. All they see are the $$$ signs.

Again sensible.
Shocked but have Wolves finally learnt their lessons!
He has not worked out and is unlikely to be any better in the even more physical Championship.
If the club can sell him at a not insignificant profit raising cash to pay down debt and/or finance the re-build then it should.
It could in any case be argued that Gomes A has already arrived as his replacement - home grown, substantially cheaper and on lower wages.
Note as some of you may think somewhat conversely I however believe Emmanuel should not be sold! He has shown that he is more than capable of playing in the Championship and if Wolves can afford it and can persuade them to stay he and Krejci would form a pairing that would be without peers in the Championship.

Come on Good, let’s have some realism. When a club offers you €25 million for a player who has been mostly bloody awful, you take it. Arias looked good against Shrewsbury, but that’s about it. He now also has no chance of getting in front of Angel Gomes and/or Bellegarde.

There's no way that Arias would even want to play in the championship when there's competition for him from at least two clubs. Fosun could have taken £55mil for JSL last summer but, unusually, they weren't seeing $$$ signs then.

Interesting post.
I would sell Arias and Agbadou.
For different reasons Arias has struggled with the pace and physicality of the prem and to recoup the money is smart.
Theres a technical player there but I think it is a bad fit all around.
Agbadou I would sell as I think teams have worked him out. When he came in February 2025 he was physical and good on the ball.
But our bad form at the end of last season was due to forwards recognising you could run at him as he isn't particularly fast but faster than some of our other defenders (which says a lot).
I would allow Edwards to build a defence and team that he wants.
Other notes of contention for me but I feel we should have got Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea at the start of January.
I would have also gone for Disasi. Just feel there was 57 points to play for pre West Ham game and we should have won against Everton and Newcastle.
We could have then signed Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong and made the last 4 months competitive.
It just feels feeble our lack of fight from above rather than on the pitch.
£900 a season ticket the past two years the squads and the quality in both those squads is a gulf.
Do we get refunds for miss selling them?

Not saying we shouldn't sell if the price is right but he has finally started to look decent. Of course he'll move on as he's one of the more saleable assets.
Future. Angel Gomes earns £80k and Arias £65k per week so Gomes is more expensive, plus we only have an option to buy as opposed to an obligation to.
Sa, Jackson, Agbadou, Andre, Krejci and Joao will all move on but somehow Fosun will try and spend minimal funds on replacements and tell all and sundry that the squad will only need minor tweaks.
On paper, the remaining players should be too good for the Championship but we all know that the reality is very different. I mean a team of: Johnstone, Doc, Toti, Santi, Mosquera, Hugo, Traore, Angel, Rodrigo, Tolu and Mane plus Bellegarde, Sasa, Armstrong, Fer Lopez and Munetsi isn't a bad foundation but I fear Fosun just aren't interested anymore.

I may be wrong but wasn’t Agbadou clocked as one of the top 10 fastest players in the prem last season?

Mad - the point you make is the same one BB and Good made - should Fosun have acted on Jan 1 when a miracle might, ( only might), have been possible.
i have to accept that it is not an unrealistic one which I missed - blinded by a flicker of rationality later on in the month when the miracle was gone.
Assuming Edwards is here, ( far from certain that he will), that would be the obvious thing to do but I strongly suspect he won't be able to as the players he will want will be the ones that will go.
Interesting view on Emmanuel - but as you say what does it say about the rest of the CBs at the club as he was head and shoulders above all of them last season.
In the Champ I suspect he would be a behemoth and with Krejci would be as good as any in the league.
Guess that is opinions for you!"
Ironically though Armstrong wouldn't have been the signing to make then though as he is clearly not good enough for the Prem.
Not sure who those signings should have been though as far from convinced the 2 Chelsea boys would have moved the dial either.

Wolves fans have to accept that many players - certainly the better players - are going to leave. Bids will come in for most of the first team squad - players who will not want to play in the Championship on a reduced wage. If you were a PL player on 80k a week, would you want Championship football on 56k a week? I know 56k a week is a fantastic wage, but these people live in a different world. Not just flash cars, houses, children in private schools, etc., many players will be supporting extended family and friends. As a young man I worked at a posh hotel and we hosted a famous footballers wedding reception. It was amazing how many ‘friends’ he had.
Starting from the back to the top there are players I would love for Wolves to keep, but I can’t see them staying. I would love Rodrigo Gomes, Lima, Mosquera, Krejci, Hugo Bueno, Wolfe, Mane, Bellegarde, Hwang-Hee Chan and Tolu to stay, but most will go. Bids will come in and these individuals have to think of their careers and their families.
We can’t be in the Championship with either H Bueno or Wolfe warming the bench, so one or both goes. Again, Lima has to play and he’s not going to get in front of R Gomes or whoever else is RB/RWB. If Edwards wants a new, experienced RB/RWB, R Gomes won’t sit on the bench in the Championship. There will be plenty of bids for Krejci. Agbadou won’t play in the Championship, unless Wolves have his family tied up in a basement for the entire season. Personally I’ll be glad to see Agba leave. Tchatchoua has to go simply because he’s bloody dreadful. Hwang is a weird one because he obviously has a lot of commercial value. This is why he plays week in week out. This is why Wolves are so desperate to unearth an amazing Chinese player. I would keep Hwang in the Championship, and he strikes me as a player who might stay, but again, many bids will come in for him. You buy Hwang for exposure in South Korea.
Who will stay? I think Johnstone will stay. I also think Doherty, S Bueno, Toti Gomes, but other than those few I’m struggling to think of anyone else! I think Tommy Doyle will be brought back in, which will be like a new signing.
Being honest, I think Wolves need a bit of a reset and Rob Edwards has to be allowed to build his own team. I love that his first two signings are English. It will be nice to see a team with a few UK players.
