Carragher got his head up his a/h again.

Apparently the Pgmol rep at the game has apologised to Gary O'Neil and said it was a penalty. This is now about the 4th time in successive seasons. The EPL/fa have a vested interest in ensuring the richest teams win, seems at any cost. They are a corrupt shambles. Wolves deserved at least a point. Notice Gary Neville and Karen C both said it was a penalty

Bels299 he's never liked us yeah your right what your saying about him

So VAR encouraged not to contradict refs decision unless absolutely necessary. ie unless it benefits the top 6.
It STINKS.

VAR farce AGAIN.

Bels299

1.) 14 Aug 2023 22:09:07
Michael Salisbury, the guy behind the Brighton Tottenham mistake in April! According to his online profiles he's from Lancashire!

2.) 14 Aug 2023 22:10:01
Omg wow wolves was brilliant.i no we didn't score but iam so proud of them.var is farce it was a definitely penalty.i think top half finish coyw

3.) 14 Aug 2023 22:11:37
Here we go again another corrupt ref and I expect we will get another apology from Howard Webb.

4.) 14 Aug 2023 22:21:29
He'll have run out of sorry notes by the end of the season. Stinks.

5.) 14 Aug 2023 22:24:39
How will var ever be corrected? How do teams get redress for decisions like that? The ref dosnt see it? The var refs don't see it. Everybody else can. It's corrupt.

6.) 14 Aug 2023 22:33:45
Here comes another empty apology from Mr Webb! GON you have my full backing this season, we were fantastic! Neto looking nearly back to his best, Semedo solid, Nunes carrying the ball was superb and Lemina is already a Wolves legend!

7.) 14 Aug 2023 23:13:25
Apparently the apology letter was delivered yesterday

8.) 15 Aug 2023 06:41:29
If Gomes carrying the ball was superb Pikey what was Gomes? If only he could have converted that was a 10/10 performance.Biggest IF in football unfortunately.
And, at last, some real evidence that Neto can get back to his best but, again, conversion of chances the issue.

9.) 15 Aug 2023 06:57:04
I meant Cunha of course.

So how come Everton still seem to be throwing money around on transfers, yet are under investigation for breach of ffp rules. Do they know that at worst they will get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again?

Bels299

1.) 10 Aug 2023 09:31:10
Not sure about Everton throwing money around this window - they have spent the same as us but you make a valid point.
Although I was very rudely told I didn't know what I was talking about on this site when identifying some time ago that Everton would have FFP problems it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that they would.
Yet their punishment not only hasn't arrived (a points deduction was postulated not that long ago) but is now deemed likely to be a far more modest one if it ever does arrive.
Of course City have also been investigated (as Chelsea currently are apparently are as well ) and although it seems that there is little to no doubt that they are guilty (City although probably Chelsea as well ) no punishments have arrived and indeed City have now of course built a money making machine that will mean that FFP going forwards is highly unlikely to ever worry them again.
In civi street there is a concept of proceeds of crime i.e. if you benefit from commiting a crime the benefit you received is unwound - the house you bought from the proceeds of a robbery is taken away from you. In football it seems City's trophies and now money built on "crime" are celebrated not removed.
Odd thing sport and not neccessarily as fair as you might like it to be?

2.) 10 Aug 2023 11:07:18
Good to see you back on here Tfiog.
Sensible banter most welcome.
Yes, you were treated very rudely.
Absolutely uncalled for I thought.
I also share your puzzlement another clubs ffp and the wheels of justice.
Wolves in the greatest place currently. Timing absolutely awful.
But we've been around 150 years - we will go.
I'm looking forward to the season.but not struggling up all those stairs to the top of the Billy Wright ?
Sunny today - let all true Wolves have that belief in the future of our club?

3.) 10 Aug 2023 14:00:55
Spot on TFLOG the worst will be a fine as there is no way the will relegate them how would that look relegating the European champions.

On another note in regards to transfers, if funds were allocated for this summer but were used in January, surely we are at the "Status Quo" situation as we've recouped over 90 million in fees (that will show straight away on the balance sheet for 2024/25 accounts). The fees paid will be split over 4 years on average so 70 Million by 4 is 17.5 mill. They have also saved I would say at least 12 million in salary with Raul, Moutino, and Costa off books. These also do not take in the prize money and TV revenue, so there is something clearly not right in what they are saying. Best case I think is that they are asset stripping to sell the club for as much as they can before the Chinese government make them sell it. Last point if the club is so far behind the 8 ball why are we and also why did Jeff give himself a £400, 000 pay rise.

4.) 10 Aug 2023 15:33:45
If Everton don’t get screwed by the FFP violations and we go down instead of them then that really tells you all you need to know about the current premier league. Not complying and getting away with it messes with the whole football ecosystem and people’s jobs!

5.) 10 Aug 2023 18:22:46
MRV I can send you a spread sheet that sadly shows that won't be ok in Janaury or next summer or even next Janaury.
The sales we have made this summer merely balance the books for this summer!
We will need to make fairly significant sales next summer as well to stay compliant. This is because the current squad's contracts and amorts are substantially greater than our income and they virtually all run to summer 2025 at least.
Sorry.

At least we didn't go for Mcguire

Bels299

1.) 09 Aug 2023 20:18:43
Every cloud has its silver lining.

2.) 09 Aug 2023 23:15:53
I'd even take McGuire to be honest, he's better than having to play Doherty at CB which we may have to do should we get an just one injury and suspension at the same time for our cbs! ?

3.) 10 Aug 2023 08:37:09
Is Doc any worse than Calamity Collins? He could always be relied on to have one massive mistake in his locker.

Bellegarde has scored 2 and has 3 assists in 3 games this season (according to BBC) if we can encourage that and not coach it out of him, he could end up with more goals/assists than most mid-table strikers in the prem.

I agree Canvey, let him rot. He can kiss goodbye to international call ups and his form and edge will go and no one will want him then. Never thought he fitted in. Another one who thinks he is better than he really is.
If he goes to City he will only be a bench warmer.

Southgate's favourite. Apparently he plays well with Stones. Thought he was poor again tonight and a poor back pass nearly cost us. Bin him.
