Not impressed at all Rated after his interview when he left

Currently underwhelmed with our transfer business, it really needs to pick up.

Why? He only said it was a move forward. Can't really argue with it.
Spurs consistently top 6 or so.

He said a bit more than that mate if you read all the interview
very dissrespectfull imo

He knows the club and will fit right in. We have limited money so getting him on a free is good business. Who cares what he said when he left, we Need a right back with prem experience.

Of course he was disrespectful, Nuno sold him, he didn't request to leave (wouldn't you do the same?).

Have to agree with Debs here I think peeps have been a bit unfair with Docs. Just try seeing it from his point of view, you've just had your best season for the club and you get wind that Nuno is intending to replace you with Semedo for a crazy high fee oh and by the way he's going to get significantly more than you ever did in wages! So after half a life time of dedicating yourself to a club your getting replaced by a guy that's more light weight, worse in the air and going to cost the club a huge amount more?!
I think his comments/reactions were the classic behaviour of someone that felt hurt by the club/manager to be honest! And that position seems ro have been proved by the fact he wants to come back.

Let's look at this as a fresh start for Doc with us.

Could well be our top scorer next season
Free transfer no brainer

If he is realist it means we're in big trouble.

Actually Debbie, Doherty gave an interview in October 2022 when he said 'I was always going to leave Wolves that summer regardless if Spurs came in for me or not. I had run my course and needed to leave'. Nuno didn't get rid of him, more he wanted out.

I get what your saying Jas, but players always like to say stuff like that, after the event. Sounds a lot better for your ego than saying the truth which is that I left because 'they didn't want to give me the wages they were happy enough to give to another player' which sounds a LOT worse! It's basically choosing to sell the story as growth in your career rather than changes at the club! Especially when that player (Semedo) turned out to be no better than you!
The way I see it wether he started two games or not playing for a club like Atlético gives you options when leaving on a free, if he comes back it's cause he wants to!
I have no issue with the transfer on that front (Doc loyalties) my only concern is; are we yet AGAIN signing a wing back when we need a full back (please see Semedo:)?! Either we are getting Docs cause we are going back to five at the back or he will struggle yet again! Which would be horribly ironic as that is the VERY same reason Semedo struggles in a back four! ?

I think Spurs doubled what he wanted with us. I personally don't think he's the answer to our needs.

He isn't Jas but we need squad players also.
