I know I've said I'll be taking a break from posting but recent events are something I never saw coming, is this, however, good and bad news? Firstly, Jeff leaving is potentially great news albeit too late for this season, but does his replacement just confirm the view that Fosun are going nowhere, certainly not for the foreseeable future? Apparently, Guo was not impressed with Shi's latest interview and must have finally realised that he had become a devisive figure at Wolves. As head of the Fosun Sports Group, however, will he still control Wolves funding?
So in comes Nathan Shi (no relation) as an interim CEO/Chairman but what does that mean? Are Fosun seeking someone more permanent from a football background to lead a change in management style or just more of the same? Is Shi II just a temporary clone or will Fosun redouble their efforts to recover their failing relationship with the fans? This of course, is critical if they are to repair their reputation, something that is vital if they intend to retain ownership of the club.
Do they intend to do more in terms of financial support and even investment in the infrastructure as touched on by Shi 1 in his latest car crash interview? Do Fosun now realise that it's their policies that have primarily lead to our now perilous predicament and they have to do more, much more, to repair the reputational damage they have inflicted on themselves?
So many questions but as yet only one answered, yes, the removal of Shi I is a Xmas present but is it step one in a new era or just a smoke screen, a short term appeasement of the fans to deflect the 'Fosun Out' protests and minimise the bad publicity we're now seeing in the media on a national level? Shi gets the job he's wanted for years but what do we get? I for one will be watching with interest, as the jury is still out for me. In the meantime have a good Xmas everyone, at least Santa has brought us some good news.

Good analysis as always Long. My simplistic analysis is thank God you’ve gone Jeff, your replacement couldn’t possibly be worse.

Hi longmynd, your term smokescreen is exactly the term I was thinking of when I posted beck to MoW earlier.
Jeff showed himself up in the interview on radio, the council confirmed that in their response.
The chanting on live TV will have been noted and Fosun have taken him off the front line, he's not left or relinquished real responsibility at the club as I read it.
This poor lad Nathan Shi is there to deflect the anger and the worst thing fans could do is ease up on getting Fosun out, or quieten the protests down.
OK, we could win today, Nathan could issue a statement laying out the future and we might be happy in that knowledge for the short term.
But we must not let that deflect from what Fosun has let happen to us.
Yes I think it's a smokescreen to squash the 'noise', a temporary dressing to take the sting out of our anger.
Hope I'm wrong, but honestly?.

I personally Bally don’t think it’s a smoke screen, More that Fosun have finally realised the decline under his stewardship and have bit the bullet, they don’t want to sell the club and admit defeat, the only way to get fans back on side is to do as asked the last while and get Shi out, that's a start in my opinion in trying to Fix a problem they have ignored for a long while for whatever reason that none of us will ever know.
Today is a great time for the fans to come together, no chanting against the board, only chanting for the team, We got an early Christmas present with Shi going, so let drive on and get 3 points today and show Fosun why they bought the club in first place…. FWAW

Laurie Darymple should be first name on list to replace Shi too
