Current events in China suggest they are no longer our friends and haven't been so since around the time of Covid. This may explain Fosuns reluctance to invest in Wolves and the reason we sell off our best players to generate income. With strict financial restraints imposed on Fosun by the Chinese government it's hardly surprising where we are with little optimism going forward. What I don't understand is why Fosun didn't follow other Chinese owners and sell us? Hopefully this won't be far off and hope we can dodge relegation once more before this happens.Just my personal thoughts.

I think if you are going to talk politics then no one has any 'friends' in world affairs. Everything is done on a pragmatic basis. The Chinese, and Fosun in particular are into the 'long game' as far as business is concerned. This is something the west has yet to understand properly as our politics and business have been largely 'knee jerk, reactionary' for years. As far as football is concerned I believe a mix is required of proaction and reaction, I also believe the powers that be in football, FA and EPL etc have little idea of how to run football. The debacle of the "world club cup", "split transfer windows running a month into the season" prove this. But it's what we have and our of our control. So we have to accepted that and make the best of it. No one wants to see our club relegated, like others, I remember the Bhattis and division 4, but we can play our part in supporting the team. It's always been that way, just now, the "top" clubs get favoured, more money and effectively are playing their own super league within our league. This, after supporting since 1967, is my honest observation. The top six should have been let go when the super league was mooted, because the game is worse for them being here. Example: 3 games in and can anyone see Liverpool NOT winning the league?

I have to disagree that we have sold off our best players to generate income. Players such as Cunha were always going to leave and there was nothing we could do about it! If we were selling just to generate income, we would have sold JSL to Newcastle for £50mil odd.
I still back us for a midtable finish but the new players will need time settling in. VP is assembling his own team and that process will continue in January.
