Sergi Solans. 23-year-old Spanish striker based in USA. Never heard of him. Stats are not very good but Wolves have been eyeing him for a while. This is our level now.

Is it 'our' level now, or is it just Wolves looking into certain markets? We've just signed the Young Champ POTS despite West Ham and Boro's interest; I'd call that a coup. I imagine we're looking in lots of markets.

Depends how much we pay. This kid is 23, has scored 14 in 42 in the lower Spanish leagues, and 10 in 23 in the US. He might be worth a punt at a couple of million. I think he's been playing in the US due to college studies there.

Our level is a pointless statement.
We should be setting our own standards.
The standards at Wolves should be to sign players that enable us to play 4-2-3-1. We need players with pace at CB and in the wide forward positions.
They should be able to play possession-based football, and press for certain parts of the game.
The players recruited should be able to develop in this system to play in the Premier League next year. So, a combination of experienced pros like Raul and Trippier.
But also exciting young players like JJ.
Wolves have wasted 3 months trying to convince themselves our CBs are Premier League quality. They are not at all. We need a GK, but we have not sold any of the three, and have not signed one.
And that Mane, Lopez and R Gomes, whilst talented, are going to become amazing young talents that walk the league. I have my reservations, as only R Gomes has pace, and the consistency of all three is doubtful. But I do support creating an environment for all three to develop.
We then have a divided fan base: those that loved Re aren't convinced by Cesar; those that believe our CBs are better than any other team's CBs in the league; and those that think we will somehow press for 90 mins, which no team does, by the way. Oh, not forgetting that we have some sort of jinx over us. You make your own luck.
Wolves have failed again with recruitment, and rested on their laurels.
