Jas M it was an opinion and how many people on here and other sites have been saying we have needed a striker for the last 4 years.

Dek123, we know we need a striker but it is not as easy as saying 'We want that one' and hey presto, it gets done.

The decent strikers will not be available unless we pay a premium price for them. The selling club will want to buy a replacement too.

There is the old adage that we should have identified our targets months ago but nothing can actually happen until the transfer window opens.

For example, if GON was interested in Ings, his team would have contacted West Ham a while ago to see if a move could happen, however, as reported last week, West Ham need to change their plans due to Bowens injury and Antonio's longer absence. Thus will mean that the player GON actually wants is not available. And we continue in this cycle.

We had Sasa who is very well respected in Germany.
Do you expect Jeff and company to know what qualities a coach who hasn't been hired yet wants?

Handsome not sure about his reputation in Germany but if you saw him play you would realise that he just isn't mobile enough for the way we play.
Of course you are correct and it is possible that some coaches might be happy with an old fashioned target man who doesn't move a great deal but i'm not certain he was robust enough to play that role either?
Maybe given time he may have adapted (he scored a couple of goals in his limited time on the field) but I am not sure we are can afford to give him this time as I fear he is simply just not good enough for the level Wolves want to play at?

I think people were saying that about Hwang not too long ago so forgive me if I don't take your appraisal too seriously.

Maybe we need to have a Plan B because sometimes the way we play won't work.
People have been crying out for years for a big target man and that is what he is.
It's up to the coach to figure out how to use him.
I could see Gary saying Messi wasn't his style of player and benching him. It's really silly. Figure out how to use what you have instead of complaining that you don't have enough strikers available.

Apparently, he is good enough for Bayern Munich to be interested but not good enough for the Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Is that what you want me to believe?

I have watched him - as far more importantly has GON - and so am not unhappy at him leaving the club.
Have you watched him - what quality (ies) did you see in him that makes you want to keep him?

PS After posting I thought I would check your statement about Bayern as it seemed that you must have a point if it was true.
However all I could find was that in the summer 2022 ie nearly 2 years ago and before his (last?) major injury they were "linked" but did not sign him.
In fact we did, for "only" £15m so either we got a real bargain - we didn't - or he wasnt the superstar you hint he was then?
If Bayern are currently interested apologies but I can't find any reference to this at the moment?

pps My appraisal is completlely worthless so no problem there, however you need to talk to GON as he clearly disagrees with yours.

He's just a wind up merchant from the icy depths of Canada, Future, and Sasa has become his new darling after moving on, perhaps temporarily, from Cutrone. We who actually go and watch the games all know that neither are good enough for the upper echelons of the Premier League where we aspire to be.
