Think it's highly unlikely that if Wolves were promoted they would keep the same squad. Let's see if we can get there first. Don't get this negativity after 5 league games.

The current side we all know will struggle if - and let's not say it as if it was a bad thing - Wolves were to go up.
But it must be possible that players such as Mane, Gomes, Lopez, (pretty sure on that one), and Djiga, to name just 4, would have grown since last season - when 2 of them weren't even there!
James may well also be of the required quality by next season, so, when added to the 2 known Prem quality players in the squad, Krejci and Andre, Wolves might have as many as 7 Prem quality players in the squad.
Boosted by "adequates" like Yerson, Hugo and Sa, the squad would "only" - yes, it's a huge "only" - be, say, 7, 8 or 9 players short.


I'm assuming Trippier and Raul won't make it to next year, especially if it is in the Prem.
Whilst, as I have said before, it is a shame Wolves didn't do more this summer (albeit we know they were limited by financial constraints), surely, if promotion looked likely, some of the work that will be needed will be done in Jan?
That would both help promotion prospects, but also make the 2027 summer window more realistically achievable.
