It kills me to say it, but Emery is probs one of the best managers in the league, but Villa are defo going to be interesting to watch this season. They've basically peaked in the last two seasons, and in the last window have been absolutely decimated by losing all their top talent. So essentially they peaked and have followed that by having to sell off all their best players and replace them for cheaper/less established players, sound familiar?! Now I'm sure their owners aren't as incompetent as Fosun (I think that debate was put to bed a season or so back), but this still could be the beginning of a downward trend for them in the long term.

The FFP system just seems to make it very hard for clubs to break into the top four for much more than a couple of seasons at a time (please also see Newcastle). ?
